Cain won't preview tomorrow's announcement

At a Town Hall today in Rock Hill, SC, Herman Cain said he will make a big announcement tomorrow to clarify his next steps.

ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Speculation about the future of Herman Cain's presidential campaign will likely come to an end in less than
24 hours, the candidate told supporters during a town hall here this afternoon.

"Tomorrow in Atlanta, I will be making an announcement, but nobody's going to get me to make that announcement prematurely," said Cain."That's all there is to that.  So tomorrow  we're going to be opening our headquarters in Northwest Georgia where we will also clarify, there's that word again, clarify exactly what the next steps are."

The future of Cain's campaign has been watched closely since Tuesday, when he told senior staffers that he would "reassess" his bid for the presidency.  On the trail this week, the former Georgia businessman has remained defiant in speeches, but has been less reassuring that his campaign will continue when speaking to press. He's consistently said that the decision will be made by Cain and his family.

"My wife and family comes first. I got to take that into consideration. I don't doubt the support that I have," he said.

Cain is traveling to Atlanta where he will meet with his wife face-to-face for the first time since a Georgia woman claimed to have had a 13-year affair with Cain.

Earlier today, his campaign sent out an appeal to supporters asking to show their support to keep Cain in the race.  The the nearly 200 supporters gathered here enthusiastically cheered for the embattled presidential candidate, with one voter using the question and answer portion of the town hall to plead with Cain not to quit.

Asked by a reporter after the event if he would drop out, Cain said only that he needed to speak with his

Cain won't preview tomorrow's announcement

How ever will I sleep tonight? lol

I hope he at least has a decent make-up artist to cover the damage Mrs. Hermie is going to inflict upon him for playing hide the sausage with a 'lover from another mother'...

Hermie may regret the day he decided to go into the pizza business, when she gets her hands on some of the rolling pins laying around the kitchen! ;o)

Had to run out and get champagne for the Dew Drop tonight. Hubby is proud as punch.

FYI, Mrs. Cain is a proud southern woman. She will use a big old cast iron skillet to say hello to Hermie. And I bet it won't be used to fry up some chicken!!!

The woman in my family were fond of rolling pins as a score settler !

I used to like rolling pins, however, the skillet IS heavier and has a broader base for hitting - in case they want to try and duck.

So, Cain is pumping up the "eeeeeevil librul media" for his resignation speech? Just issue a freaking statement and be done with it, Hermie! Your wife is about to divorce you.

The GOP candidates are like toddlers...they don't know that picking your nose in public is unacceptable behavior

I certainly hope Cain tries to drag someone down with him as he drops out of the race. The low comedy of his campaign could use a bit of high drama to give it a proper ending.

Herman don't you know only liberals can act like this! If you were a Democrat it would be OK to sleep around. Heck they would even elect you President. You could even get reelected after having an affair in the white house. But as a Republican you are held to a higher standard. The press will never let this go. They are still trying to come to grips with the idea of a black conservative. they will latch onto anything to bring you down. Time to leave the race to take away the distraction.

Ol' Hermie was his own worst enemy. He got what he deserved and liberals cannot be blamed because he was brought down by his own conduct. Nice try, though.

So let's make something up and pretend he did:

"After consulting with my advisors and my wife, I have decided to end my quest for the Republican nomination to devote more time to my FAMILIES..."

Well, if he's making this announcement at the opening of a new local campaign office... didn't he kind of preview the answer to the big question already?

I mean, at this point, who really gives a rat's ass what his campaign does in terms of tactics. The only question I could see someone being remotely interested with is when it ends.

Paul M - it ends when a 17-year old with a 2-year old baby shows up claiming that Hermie the Spermie is her 'baby daddy'.

I do NOT put it past the GOP to do this, especially if Hermie continues to piss them off by NOT dropping out.

      Way to go, Hermie!

Earlier on hardball or one of those shows they had a bit where they were showing everybody that works at fox noise using their same old line " I've heard people say" like that is the standard of journalism.....It is how they do things over there but other Media outlets let alone actual news organizations investigate things instead of repeating what they heard at the Fox noise water cooler during fox and freinds...

Okay, let me get this straight. Hermie is going home to face Mrs. Hermie and face the music at home. He will, maybe - maybe not, depending on book sales and alimony stay in the race and Donald Trump is going to moderate a debate.

From the beginning any idiot could see that Mr. Cain was a charalatan(sp)...a professional holigan....and an embarassment to the human race. And, the Republican party supporters had the intellect to accept him into its party. What is worst ... Newt..Cain is an alterboy compared to Newt. It is not over until it is over...bye
