Obama agenda: Heading to Scranton

“One trip, two money pitches. President Barack Obama wants more money in the pockets of U.S. workers -- and in his campaign treasury,” the AP writes. “With both goals in mind, the president was to travel Wednesday to swing-state Pennsylvania to press his case for a bigger temporary payroll tax cut that will boost paychecks. He then will descend on donor-rich New York City to raise money for his already flush re-election bid.”

More: “In New York, Obama will attend three fundraisers: one at a private residence where tickets begin at $10,000; one at the Greenwich Village restaurant Gotham Bar and Grill at $35,800 per ticket; and a reception at the Sheraton Hotel, where tickets begin at $1,000. The money will be split between the Democratic National Committee and the Obama re-election campaign.”

“Republicans are maneuvering to short-circuit an effort by Democrats on the National Labor Relations Board to approve rules that would quicken the pace of union elections,” the AP says. “The GOP member of the labor board is threatening to resign his post, which would deny the board a quorum and quash the entire process. At the same time, the House is poised Wednesday to approve a GOP bill aimed at short-circuiting moves they consider anti-business.”

“The Obama administration offered tempered praise this week as millions of Egyptians cast ballots in an election likely to be the country's freest and fairest ever -- a vote the U.S. insisted go forward despite objections by pro-democracy street protesters,” AP writes.

Sorry Rob you are pissing in the wind. If you think the American people will elect one of the Republican degenerates you are out of your mind.

What ever you may think of President Obama Good, bad or indifferent! Be vigilant: An elected GOP POTUS will be a carbon copy/clone of all GOP Governors elected in 2010.

At least President Obama has moral and ethical values in his private, personal, public and political life

What ever you may think of President Obama....

    sorry ran

What I think is Obama was elected to fix things not make them worse or prolong a miserable economy. Result matter and he is an unquestionable failure.

It does not matter who the opponent is; a vote for obama is a vote for failure! A vote for the opponent is a vote for a chance at success and improvement. I prefer a chance than no chance.

So Rob, you'd rather go back to the failure of the tea people GOP republicans from 2001 to 2008. Instead of the progress the Democrats have made since 2009. You keep calling President Obama a failure, truth is you don't have a clue what your talking about, you just keep parroting the tea people GOP republicans talking points.

So, why then has Obama paid to have many public records about him sealed? What do you think may be in those records that could be a future problem for him?

So, will Obama run the worst negative campaign in political history, or will he run on his record in this election?

@rob - the selective memory of the Republicans is amazing. They have been nothing but failures for years. What a shame that you ditto heads just vote for your party without a thought as to what the country needs. If I thought for a minute that one of the Republican candidates were better than Obama I would vote for them but after you eliminate everyone but Romney and Gingrich you have a choice of a someone that tells you what you want to hear or you have someone proven to be unethical.

Obama can run on his accomplishments as President and he can easily run a negative campaign - the PUBs make that easy. They have already cast the first stones so I say go for it Obama!

I don't see a problem with speeding up union elections. As it stands now, it's easier and faster to get a free and open election in Iran than it is at a Target or Wal-Mart if the employees seek to unionize. The GOP doesn't have the votes or the guts to seek to repeal the Wagner Act or Taft-Hartley, so instead it's death by a thousand cuts - just don't fund the NLRB or allow it to function.

Obama is toast in 2012. Burnt toast that nobody can stomach anymore. He has racked up more failures than a Detroit high school.

Then, to top it off, he tries to pass the blame for his pitiful administration on anybody, and everybody he can think of. First it was all about blaming Bush. Then, when that wore a little thin, it was blame the Republicans. Then, after the enormous Republican victory in the mid-terms, he saw that wasn't going to fly anymore. His latest targets are the rich, and the lazy Americans. Like watching a comedy. Can't wait to see who he blames next. LOL

The biggest comedy of all is what has been paraded in front of us as "candidates" from the TPGOP. It has been a full blown comedy and great fodder for SNL.

There is no reason to BLAME Bush - it WAS Bush. Look at the stats after he crawled out of the oval office.

BOTH parties are terrible but the Republicans have lost all integrity. If you think they have the best interest in our country right now then you are just a blind party follower which is indicative of the right.

The GOP does not want to give the payroll tax cuts, they are trying to get rid of the estate tax that affects less than 1% of Americans but God forbid they give up their Bush tax break..................wake up.... the Tea Party and their pledges, extreme stances, obstruction and negativity will be their demise.
