Cain on campaign status: '9-9-9. We're doing fine'

Herman Cain responded to a question from NBC News in Michigan today about whether he has plans to drop out of the presidential race. Cain said, "9-9-9. 9-9-9. We're doing fine."

HILLSDALE, MI -- Herman Cain brushed off a question about whether he plans to drop out of the race for the GOP presidential nomination, returning to a familiar refrain: his "9-9-9" tax plan.

Ahead of a foreign policy speech planned this evening in Michigan, Cain dodged a question about whether he plans to abandon his presidential ambitions after having told staff this morning that he would spend the next two days reassessing his campaign.

"9-9-9. 9-9-9. We're doing fine," Cain told NBC News upon leaving his hotel at Hillsdale College for his speech on campus tonight.

Cain's campaign has downplayed the reassessment, framing it as a routine examination of the campaign's trajectory.

"Mr. Cain told staff simply that, just as every time significant events occur, a reassessment is prudent," deputy campaign manager Linda Hansen said this afternoon. "A good businessman looks at the entire landscape before making decisions. He is, and has been, committed to promoting the issues and solutions that will make this nation stronger. Nothing about that has changed."

Cain is so stew-pid he cant smell that the pizza is black in the oven-

Personally I cant see what RePelicans see in him but I hope he is the one running against our President- Cain will come out of it looking like the MOP that cleans the floor of his pizzazz shop

Cain and "Baghdad Bob" have alot in common. Bob said at one point, "we have them right where we want them" meaning the US troops and now Cain, "we are doing fine". It was hilarious watching Bob back then and now Cain, the entertainment is great.

A good point. Baghdad Bob said Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction, and history proved him right. When Herman lets it all hang out, history will also show us that his weapon was not all that massive, either.

CoCain is proving more and more he is severly brain damaged. I wish I could use stronger words to define that moron, but it isn't allowed.

He's lying through his teeth--AGAIN, it's not 9-9-9, it's 6-6-6.  You can tell when this freak of nature is lying, his lips are moving.

Ah! Can't you smell the failures of the Republicans trying to take away SS and Medicare so they can give their wealthy Blackmailers more money...To hell with the poor and needy. Let them freeze in the winter and stave the old and babies, just like all you Teabaggers want...You make me sick with your Me Me Me altitude. It just a matter of time before the masses raise up against you . Greedy and you all call yourself Christains. What a laugh: Your no better than the Muslims you all hate. Wake up America

Nostradamus had some prediction concerning a president and 666. Maybe he meant 999?

Cain acts like the beneficial sacrificial ram. If one is this bad the others must be better. If you do not see through it you must acquit. Come on people. The man is a skunk who just happens to be filthy rich. You don't believe he's using his money to run for such a high office. Karl Rove hasn't finished his failed policy of death defying dirty politics. Cain reminds me hypothetically of the son of a family who is arrested for murder. His Mom & Dad get on TV to say " My boy didn't pull the trigger. The gun went off all by its self". I feel Mr Cain in so many ways represents people like the rat from Aruba. Chili and Peru had the right idea there. Lock him up before he gets a chance at #3 and the strike out against women is over. MAYBE

There are aliens amongst us. I always thought they were in Hollywood or the music industry. Take over by acquiring all our money and disabling us thru the sedution of music. I never thought politics because these people are way too stupid to have gotten here from another planet. But I am having second thoughts. It's one thing to be an alien. It's another to be one and give it away. Plan 9-9-9 can only come from somewhere like Planet 9. God almighty, is this line up a joke or what? It can't be this bad and this real. I betcha the other aliens will eliminate Cain. They will have to in order to keep the fact that they are here a secret.

9-9-9 is actually the economic plan in Sim City. The video game. Seriously. Look it up.

Shouldn't you liberals be focusing on another GOP candidate to destroy?

I'm sure by now the new marching orders have been directed towards Newt...

My last time to post on this waste of space. Cain deserves what he is getting, even BEFORE he was charged with harassment he was an arrogant, narcissist that was obviously in this for notoriety - well he got it.

Whether you are Republican or Democrat supporting "these types" of people to have ANY say in our country is wrong.

Bye Cain and hopefully Newt who is no better. I heard him on TV saying he made peace with God over what he did. AND there is another problem. These proclaimed Christians commit all kinds of SINS and travesties as layed out by their religion but they just pray to God and then its all OK. If you make a mistake once.............hmmm Ok but repetitive abuse - NOT. Newt is a repeat offender.

It is easy to reason that Mr. Cain has lost the popularity vote but he has not let it steer him from the opinion that gained him favor in recent months. "A good businessman looks at the entire landscape before making decisions. He is, and has been, committed to promoting the issues and solutions that will make this nation stronger. Nothing about that has changed." It is the focus on what job he is willing to understand that we as a nation cannot fail, falter, or fall short of giving our children and their children a place to hold onto "The American Dream" of being the greatest as they work to be.

Cain is not on trial. He is a candidate and should be investigated. He has failed his background check and therefore will not receive the nomination. It's his own fault for not facing these issues head-on without lies and excuses. It''s also his fault for not being prepared to address foreign policy. What kind of candidate says, they don't have to read; just lead? And 999 will not work. Let's see...one option is Newt,(really??). I tell you, the more I look at these candidates, Obama's chances for reelection are getting better all the time.

I wonder what goes thru the minds of the republican wives of cheatin' husbands. Seems like 95% of 'em just happily embrace the Stepford Wives label, & stay in denile. Is it a slave mindset or hypnosis from the "family values" bible?

You would think they would have learned something, but then if you watch Faux News 24/7 how are you going to learn anything? I have never, never been a fan of Obama but I knew the people I really liked were never going to become president, so I voted for Obama.

But the Republicans want to feel good more than they want to lead the country. If John McCain had been allowed to pick Leiberman, like he wanted to, instead of having Palin forced on him by the party leaders, it might have been a horse race.

After watching lockstep Republicans take power from fractionalized liberals for years, it's really nice to see the shoe on the other foot--Go Herman! (and Michelle, and Newt and everyone else whose best shot at the White House is to take the tour.)

Herman Cain was Never a serious candidate. He has Never had a campaign staff. Iowa being the first primary state requires a heavy investment of people, in place, to assist your supporters in getting to the caucus.

Herman Cain earns his money from giving motivational speeches and writing books. He goes to Wisconsin to promote his book. Why go there in November when the primary is in June?

He is a fraud to himself and his family as well as a fraudulent candidate. Lets say thanks to the media for helping make Herman Cain a millionaire.

Cain has the right to hustle the right wing wingnuts for money same as every right wing messiha or TV preacher. If they want to give it to him fine, it is still a marginally free country.
