KANSAS: Really - Gov. Sam Brownback’s office flagged a tweet from a teenager who said something mean about him and got her in trouble with her school principal?
SOUTH CAROLINA: “Beaufort County and three other counties have not decided whether to ask the S.C. Supreme Court to reconsider a decision requiring them to conduct next year's GOP presidential primary,” the Beaufort Gazette reports. “The S.C. Election Commission wants county election boards to conduct the Jan. 21 Republican primary. Beaufort, Greenville, Spartanburg and Chester counties filed a lawsuit in October arguing that there's no legal requirement that they do so.”
TEXAS: Rep. Charlie Gonzalez (D) announced his retirement Saturday. The seat should remain in Democratic hands: “Gonzalez succeeded his father, Rep. Henry Gonzalez, in 1998. Henry Gonzalez served 38 years in Congress and was the first Hispanic Member elected from Texas. The Texas Tribune reported that State Rep. Joaquin Castro (D), who was running in the new 35th district, will switch to run for this newly open seat. That clears the way for former Rep. Ciro Rodriguez's expcted announcement next week that he will run in the new 35th.”

Re Kansas ... you go girl!
Re SC ... really? The Republicans don't want to pay their own way? Is this not just spending taxpayer's money for a private party? Maybe they will serve TEA to the faithful.
Sam Brownback sounds like a high school tattletale to me. Teacher she's being mean to me. Grow up Sam. It's pretty sad when the tea people GOP republicans can't take criticizum from a teenage girl.
Another case where Big Brother is not government but someone who claims government is over-reaching.
You know, politics aside, it is extremely important for everyone to understand that they are responsible for the content of what they say and do regardless of their age. If somebody is going to be given access to phone, internet, etc., then they have to take the heat for what they post on those forums. I don't think being a teenager should make anyone exempt if they choose to participate in public forums. If you wan the world to hear your views, then you need to stand up to whatever scrutiny those views might bring. What is more disturbing to me overall, is the idea that our governmental leaders are busy monitoring tweets instead of doing the jobs we elected them to do. How much time do they waste with My Page, Facebook, Linkd In, tweets, IMs etc? And all on the taxpayers dime.
