Mitt Romney mailer
From NBC’s Alex Moe
With 37 days until the Iowa caucus, the mailers in Iowa are out in full force. Voters in the Hawkeye State found literature from Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, and Ron Paul in their mailboxes this weekend.
Iowa GOP Chairman Matt Strawn tweeted earlier Saturday: “Final sprint to Jan. 3 #iacaucus begins. Today's mail at home included pieces from Cain, Paul & Romney. Plus a [Michele] Bachmann autodial.”
Romney’s Iowa campaign sent out at least two Iowa mailers (there are multiple versions being sent throughout the state but the campaign would not confirm how many) -- large postcards that seem to attack President Obama rather than any of Romney’s GOP rivals.
Romney, who visited the first-in-the-nation caucus state for the third time in roughly a month last Wednesday, seems to be pushing harder in the state. “It’s up to you, Iowa,” both of Romney’s pieces say.
One Romney postcard, which seems to be aimed at social conservatives, tells voters that Mitt Romney is “the strongest Republican to beat Barack Obama and protect our values.”
The campaign, which opened its official headquarters two weeks ago, was also filming an ad at Romney’s event in Eastern Iowa earlier this month.

Ron Paul mailer
Paul’s mailer came in a large manila envelope. It was seven pages long, including a page asking for donations and a copy of his “Plan to Restore America.” He was critical of three GOP rivals in his letter to voters, as well: Rick Perry, Cain and Romney.
“Only one candidate for president will fully balance our budget within three years,” Paul starts in his letter.
Newt Gingrich, now leading in many polls nationally, has not sent out any campaign literature or run any paid advertisements in Iowa as of yet. He is scheduled back in the state Thursday.

If Romney actually lived his values, he wouldn't have a pulse.
Ya gotta go with the man with a plan. Ron Paul all the way! Peace, Prosperity and Freedom.
If Obama wasn't such a poor leader and horrible negotiator, we wouldn't be having this conversation!
The truth is America can't stand the thought of 4 more years of Obama's failed leadership! Let's send him back to become a community agitator again! The country also can't afford 4 more years of uncontrolled spending by the liberals in both the Executive office and Congress!
I see the libbies are wringing their hands with worry.... they are finally getting the message.... it's too late to replace Obama now, and Hillary's too smart to replace Biden.... The O is going.... it's a fact Jack!
Even PMSNBC is now blatantly promoting Rahm 'trash mouth' Emanuel to run for President! Another sign of the apocalypse for the liberals!
Of course we're better off with President Obama then under Bush's "leadership" which consisted of cutting the taxes of the rich to their lowest level since the 1950's, while spending trilllions on two simultaneous wars. Not to mention the fact we wasted eight years on his climate change denying policies, when we should have been getting off oil. It's kind of ironic Texas is drying up and burning down. Talk about reaping what you sow (sorry Texas.)
I don't see it that way, but that's your opinion and I have mine. Lets debunk some of your numbers. The cost of the wars is currently at 1.2 trillion. source-www.costofwar.com Bush did do the tax cuts, but Obama continued the madness, so you have to blame Obama as Bush. Do you really think the reason Texas was on fire is because of oil?
If by "his record" you mean the things Obama can actually control via the executive branch, then I think he can make a case for having done quite well, certainly better than Bush. He's effectively pursued Al Qaida, is winding down the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, actually has his regulatory agencies doing their jobs for a change, killed Bin Ladin, and ousted Khadaffi at minimal expense. International opinion of the U.S. is improving. He's been a successfuly commander in chief, successful in foreign affairs, successful in deporting illegal immigrants, and successful in enforcing the laws and regulations on the books. That's his job description.
The problem is that people don't care so much about those things compared to the economy and unemployment. And there are a couple problems there: 1. no President can single handedly steer the global or even national economy or create many jobs by sheer force of "leadership". 2. What the government could do, it needs the support of Congress for. And Republicans in Congress have successfully set a very conservative agenda for the country.
If you don't think things have improved enough over the last three years, maybe you should look at Boehner and Cantor and McConnell and ask why they've gone out of their way to oppose every effort to help the situation? I know, that's probably asking too much for the average voter.
Honestly, if conservative policies created this mess, and conservative policies aren't working to get us out of it, then maybe its time we actually tried something else.
The only problem with any of the Republican candidates is that they have no new ideas for healing the economy or jobs.
In reality, Obama has made progress, but not pulled us all the way out of the hole.
Look at these graphs and you'll see that Bush raised spending 88% and Obama just 7.2%. Also, the stimulus worked. It keep us out of depression.

Romney’s Iowa campaign sent out at least two Iowa mailers
Well of course he did! He sent one for each side of the issues, you get the flip mailer and then the next day you get the flop mailer. A double sided single mailer would be far too obvious.
Romney is a perenniel candidate, which leaves him vulnerable to the charge of flip flopping, since candidates have to tailor themselves to whichever audience they are addressing - Massachuttes voters believed abortion was a personal decision, so Romney had to support the right to choose, when he was courting them. Now Romney needs the ultra conservative vote, he's changed his position, that's only to be expected.
President Obama, on the other hand is not a perenniel candidate. He's actually been working the last three years, in the position he is up for re-election for. He's made hard choices, based on what he could get done, given a Republican House. Flip flopping doesn't really apply to him, because it's pretty obvious what his core values are, as evidenced by his actions. Obama bailed out the automakers to save jobs. He passed a stimulus to the states, so they wouldn't have to lay off teachers and cops. He got Congress to extend unemployment benefits for those who have been laid off and unable to find jobs. I would say Obama's core values include protecting the middle class. Not that the right wingers have made that easy.
From Kathleen Parker (I DO admire that woman at times!) "Ron Paul? He is our Jiminy Cricket, the nation’s conscience who utters unspeakable truths. In the coming Republican administration, Paul will head the newly created Congressional Office of Reality. Every day he’ll release a summary of government stupidity, called “The Daily Scowl,” which will delight voters and make politicians feel virtuous. He will slam his door for tour groups, who will applaud and move along." (LOL--- Daily Scowl?? -- let's call it the Daily Truth!) I sure hope Ms. Parker is right! We, the American People need a Jiminy to remind us that our fore father's knew a thing or two about human nature and wrote the constitution to adjust for that "flawed hamanity" .So -- Ron Paul says
“Only one candidate for president will fully balance our budget within three years,” ... THAT'S a good start on the daily delivery of truth! JMHO or to the purists IMHO

Oh can't you see the glitter in their eyes?
Willard Mittens Romney
Newton Leroy Gingrich
Herman Herb Cain
Ricky Perry ?!
Paul is the only candidate who has specifics on fixing our economic debt.
Don't be surprised when he wins the Iowa Caucus come Jan 3rd...
I'm not worried about Iran...We could wipe them off the face of the earth in a matter of days, minutes if we were serious. I worry about the traitors who occupy the U.S. Government...These are the true threats to America. Ron Paul 2012
America has enough internal problems to deal with. Ron Paul is the only one who seems to realize this.
LOL at Romney! "take 20 minutes" my foot -- it is a CAUCUS state. Try 2 hours. Doesn't he know it's a caucus state?
That is some position JD
I heard similar talk and bravado back in the 1960's about Viet Nam; almost identical in fact. Barry Goldwater campaigned on a similar theme in 1964.....
just sayin"..
Not as stupid as you think... you may be that stupid!
Times have changed my friend, we all made a mistake voting Obama, a neophyte to do a job that requires much more experience than he had..... and we are paying big time for that mistake now.... ya think?
Well then Seldom, how about you explaining the facts of President Obama 's foreign policies successes - you know: how Obama has accomplished so much more in his three years than the previous administration did in eight, /E.G. getting Bin Laden, Ghadaffi, and half a dozens other top terrorists; finally ending the war in Iraq (that we never should have been involved in to begin with), deporting more illegal aliens per year, etc. and etc.
You consider these mistakes?
It appears to me you have simply lost true perspective and your world view has been tainted by Rush, Fox, etc. propaganda....
Ya think?
On the up side, these jokers are helping the economy... Print shops employ people, and the USPS can use the extra business...
On the down side, it's more junk mail to recycle.
You have to wonder about where these candidates get their money from. The koch bros fund mr grover it seems. I tell you i wish there was more transparency in campaign funding. The soviets have more oil money now than the saudis and a lot is coming to this country too.
Ron Paul gets his campaign donations in the form of small donations from hundreds of thousands of people. Romney and Perry get donations from hundreds of companies for max amounts.
Even the best of luck will not help michele. It's because of how she made a big deal about a child becoming retarded by taking a pill that was deemed mandatory by school officials. No adult would have taken her position much less a president. Maybe a mr grover president.
My fellow citizens of the great state of Iowa. The GOP "Carnival Of Clowns" is doing their circus acts in Iowa. The GOP Elephants are marching around the great state Of Iowa spreading "Mental Madness," and "Policy Misinformation." The GOP Clowns are nothing but GOP Lobbyists working for the Koch Brothers, and the top 1% of our citizens. "Romulian Romney" is so alien to the troubles of 99% of Americans, that his understanding of economic struggling is a joke. He is too busy flying around in his Romulian Bird Of Prey spreading political dishonesty everywhere he flies to. Then there is "Nutty Newt" the man who loves to poltical puke. He is a pathological liar with a bi-polar personality. He claims he was the official Historian for the Confederate States Of America who was paid heavily by Freddie Mac. "Nutty Newt" loves to cheat on his wife, will love to cheat economically 99% of Americans, and has already cheated on his own lack of morals. Ethically, "Nutty Newt" has already proven to anyone who reads. That he is not Presidential at all. Then the GOP has their number ONE Tea Begger! "Bitchy Bachmann" who loves to is "Socially Sadistic," and is Cognitively Disabled in all areas. Read her comments on economic issue! OH MY GOD! "Bitchy Bachmann" has made it very clear America. Those that cannot defend themselves economically will be destroyed. Is that not TREASON America??? Wanting to see ANY of my fellow citizens suffer in anyway is EVIL! Do not look now Iowa! Here comes "Scary Perry" the man who acts drunk or he is just Cognitively Disabled. Remember this America. "It is always scary with Perry!" This functional illeterate puts his "Rich Only" tax plan on a small card. This is just disturbed! So Iowa think very carefully before you vote. Look out for the mass GOP sexual pervert "Crazy Cain" who is just insane. His antics are just troubling to watch, and his lack of intellectual strengths are a joke. He does not believe in reading, thinking, common sense, and Presential behaviors. That is fact Iowa!
LMAO....... Your ears are getting pointy! I enjoyed reading your fiction novella. But I would keep your day job!
I heard there running a draft Palin ad in Iowa this weekend.Just not happy till they've put all the ding bats on display.
It is hard to believe how many morons are backing Ron Paul, LOL
Look at his record instead of only hearing his words, He is against Federal Aid? But his district in Texas basically operates on,,,,,,,Federal Aid (along with the rest of Texas) Paul's actions are consistently the exact opposite of his spoken policies
I like the Amish too, but I don't want to give up electricity or music to adhere to a beautiful philosophy.
Ron Paul has a lovely aesthetic that is unworkable in real life. For one thing, many companies do not provide employees with healthcare. That is reality, and that is why Obamacares was passed - to get more people covered.
Ron Paul doesn't have a practical solution to providing healthcare to uninsured workers.
Republican's need to remember the old saying ( watch what you wish for you might just get it ). They want deficit reduction, come January 1 2013 they will get $6.2 trillion worth of cuts. $1 trillion dollars they agreed on just to raise the debt. ceiling. The $1.2 trillion in automatic cuts the super committee couldn't agree on ($600 billion in defense cuts and $600 billion in non-discretionary spending cuts ) and the $4 trillion in Bush tax cuts that expire on that same day. That all totals to $6.2 trillion and President Obama doesn't have to do anything to get them. Obama played the Republican's like a real pro and they didn't even see it coming.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who has been consistent and consistently right.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who diagnosed the problems long before the rest of the candidates even knew what was happening, and has proposed real, honest solutions. The other candidates can't come up with a treatment when they weren't capable of realizing the patient is sick.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who has demonstrated the WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING to know not only the solutions to the economic and foreign policy problems facing us, but also the solutions to the education and health care issues and how to work with the public and Congress to implement the needed changes. What's more, he is the ONLY candidate with the INTEGRITY and FORTITUDE to carry out the things he knows need done.
And THAT is why he has earned MY vote.
I will take my chances on 4 more years with the current president.
your chances are 0 with this socialist in office! Dot!
Hey politicians, especially the Republican party, you won. The poison pill in the 2006 bill has worked perfectly. But those political fliers? They can't be delivered by a service you have destroyed.
http://www.prc.gov/Docs/78/78051/FY2012%20IFP_11_22_2011.pdf
But in all those millions & millions of mailers you never once ever find the name grover in any of them. Think about it. Mr grover is the one who controls all of them but never once is his name ever mentioned. They all have signed contracts with him - need his go ahead approval.
the demo libos are already working the poor neighborhoods. my friend gets
flyers everyday telling people to vote any democrat into office in 2012 cause
if not they will lose their lifestyle by racist republicans!!! don't lose your free
housing, healthcare, school lunch money, free tuition, welfare food stamps,
free phones etc.... unbelievable! this is what the liberals want to keep people
depending on them so they can make more regulations and more laws so
they can benefit with stock options like Pelosi and Kerry on healthcare and
continue their grave train ride so when they retired they are multi-millionaires
while these people who vote for them are still living in poverty!!!
The only problem with any of the Republican candidates is that they have no new ideas for healing the economy or jobs.
In reality, Obama has made progress, but not pulled us all the way out of the hole.

Who actually reads their snail mail anymore, outside of Iowa anyway? It's all junk, just like this. Just write 'return to sender' and tape it to a brick.
We spend far too much money on campaigns and far too little on actually listening to the candidates. They now have a name for their interaction with us. They call it "retail politics". Well when I vote I will "wholesale" their happy-asses out of office gleefully. Retail politics indeed. Who in hell do they think they represent if not we who cast the ballots?
