When I was a kid I loved the commercials for Lucky Charms cereal (pink hearts! blue moons! yellow stars!) and that adorable leprechaun. At the supermarket I'd beg my mother to buy a box of "magic."
What a disappointment, shaking that box over a bowl and out pops dried up marshmallow bits and generic cherrios. It was my first experience of the disconnect between advertising and reality. New Hampshire voters are drowning in publicity for Republican candidates about now. I think the polls reflect that "Lucky Charms" effect, where people are convinced there's a better cereal out there. Before the election, I think, it will dawn on folks that the contents of the Republican box taste like cardboard.
Lucky Charms? Obama is trailing in many polls, not just New Hampshire; look to the 9% unemployment rate and his failed economic policies as the reason, not campaign commercials.
New Hampshire elected a GOP senator in 2010; it is like Virginia, flipped over in 2012 to the Republican side.
Thats so sweet Amy and just think another 4 years of barry and kids won't only not have cereal they won't have milk either. But hey keep drinking the koolaide we will be taking charge next Nov. if there is anything left.
Well, no surprise with those poll numbers. New Hampshire and Vermont are mirror images, politically and geographically. When New Hampshire goes for the Democrat, we're looking at a landslide win. Same for when Vermont goes for the Republican.
Actually, given how well known Romney is in New Hampshire, I'm surprised the president is within 10 points.
Hey Paul, I was just visiting my sister in NH this weekend. She remarked that the state, while one of the wealthiest in the country, does not have a huge income inequality gap. Basically, it's a state of accountants and businesspeople, sober, careful people. Romney may be "up" at the moment, but when Obama has a chance to make his case to NH, I think they will see him as the more stabilizing candidate. Republicans are out to destroy instituitions at home and attack Iran abroad, who wants that?
The only people that see this great failure are the minority involved in the occult ( Fox Nation) the rest of us are very proud of our president especialy the way he represents us abroad...And the rest of the world sees that it is a minority that would support an idiot like Herman Cain ......What happened to all the cain train members on here anyways ? Did they open new accounts and now they are for Boot ( in his mouth ) Gingrich ?
Rob for how long? we know Mitt's trajectory, It flips flops, I guess when Obama comes over to NH and reminds people about his exploits in policy, where is Osama and Qaddafi?, who got it accomplished and the improving economy. He will blow his own horn instead of people doing it for him as Cain tried to do but lost consciousness.
KInda like the poll facts in Ohio showing the buyer's remorse for the far-right idiocies of your party...You guys are still upset that the president wasn't shot..Sick...sick...sick...sick people...Leave the cult ( Fox Nation ) and the hate it breeds....
When the New Hampshire people quite laughing at the tea people republicans they'll revel their true felling about who they support. The only reason their telling pollsters they support the tea people republicans now is they all love a good comedy.
To create jobs...How is that going ? Oh yeah kill the EPA and cut taxes on the rich....In the first place regulations like that create jobs..Like the dust regs they are always crying about...They have to hire a company to put up silt fences...Now is that killing a job ? And we all know how many jobs the bush tax cuts created don't we ? If taxes are high companies have to hire and invest as to not show a profit that they would have to pay tax on period....If they get a tax cut they can lay off non-essential employees and make the others pick up the slack with no unions since they can have higher profits....They do not use profits to hire and invest in the company..Maybe they invest in the markets that is why they want the capital gains tax gone too....maybe you are working class and dumb but people on the left are not...Maybe we need to explain this a little better to people on the right who are working class and vote against their own interest....Then it will be a fifty state land-slide.....
They also said person hood in mississippi was gonna win and the polls were alot closer on issue 2 in ohio... It is just to rally the left...So you go BOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!Get on with your minority self keep thinking you are gonna win, then you won't get in your power chair and go to the polls you grumpy old person ( GOP ) party member

I was just thinking when reading this, that all the attention has been on the GOP, not the democratic side.

Actually, given what a dismal failure he is , I'm surprised he's within 75 points! It just displays how far left they have been!

Get use to that phrase libbies....
You will be seeing it more and more!
I doubt it. You may be correct Rob, but I don't think so.
Guess we will see 11/12.

"Improving economy"?, Facts are about to drag you, kicking and screaming, into reality!

A good Comedy?
New Hampshire elected Tea party-supported US Senator Kelly Ayotte in 2010, didnt hey?
The joke is on you.
