Interesting how "entitlements" has become such a negative thing. Think about it. Entitlements are things people are, well, entitled to. Why? Because they paid for them. Things like Social Security and Medicare are not handouts. They were paid for by the very people who are owed the payments.

These are some ideas about cutting the National Debt. Start by closing all the military bases in foreign countries that we can do without. Of all the 192 active military bases overseas, 54 of them are in Germany alone. Stop using the military as the world's police department. Keep the amount of naval battle groups we have at ten. Stop building the F35 jet and build more F22 jet's instead. Stop all foreign country expenditures ( Israel, Pakistan, Egypt, Korea, Taiwan, Afghanistan, Iraq,) Get all the troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq now. Stop spending money on worthless Diplomacy (if you attack us we destroy you). Cut all subsidies to any company that's not creating jobs here in America. Cancel all subsidies and contracts to any foreign company that has made any profits from American contracts but did not reinvest that money here. Force all banks, mortgage, investment and finance companies that sold toxic investments to buy them back or lose there ability to do that type of business. Prevent any person or company from getting a government contract if that person or company is being investigated or found to have committed fraud against the government. Increase the jail terms of anyone caught and convicted of fraud involving Medicare, Medicaid and any type of government contract or program. Close the SEC and give all responsibility for fraud prosecution to the Justice Department (No more get out of jail free fines). Replace the tax code with one that is more in line with 2011 not 1986 when it was last revised. Increase the FICA ceiling.

Another example how out of touch with reality these people are. They don't have a clue on how to right this Country whether they are R or D. With a leaderless White House, all of them are like dogs chasing their tails. They only stop long enough to lick their butt.

What this country needs is an occupy Washington Movement of at least a million people.

They are NOT entitlements- they are earned benefits. People have contributed to Social security all their lives. They've earned social security payments. The government should stop raiding the fund. Raise taxes on the rich. Make them and big corporations pay their fair share instead of nothing.

Guys, I just heard that Dems offered tax cut for the riches and removal of itemized deduction for the mid class. Yes, Dems not Repubs offered this. I hope this is not final. We sure can't afford to lose our mortgage interest credit.

One thing we can count on, if these to prostitute parties get together the people will be screwed. They thoroughly intend to place almost all the burden of deficit reduction on our hurting people. This will drive us on giant step closer to depression and chaos.

The interest we pay to banks on money they stole and we owe will not be cut by one penny. The needy will be further sacrificed for the greedy. The capital gains tax where most giant money is made will stay at 15%.

A 1/2% charge on all derivatives, stock and commodities trades would put us in surplus an affect mostly giant day traders and market manipulators. It won't happen. We are in bad need of a government. This one is already taken.

I am all for cutting "entitlements" folks, they include;

1.congressional salaries

2.congressional health care

3. free corporate plane rides for congressmen

4. free corporate hookers for congressmen

5. you get my drift - they think they are "entitled" to these perks yet are so idiotic as to think programs we the people have been forced to pay into all our lives are in the same class. Got news for you - SS and Medicare are a forced contract with the American people and as such MUST be honored - if you and your predecessors had not raided these funds to pay for war and the military industrial complex from Vietnam forward we would not be in this mess. If you think the "Occupy" movement is a bummer just imagine 50,000,000 depends wearing older Americans who are owed NOT entitled to the SS/MEDICARE marching down the Washington mall dropping their depends all the way to the capital and the white house. sort of a @!$%#ty response to a @!$%#ty congress don't you think? BUTT Justified!

1.   Raise
retirement age.

2.   All state
will do sales tax and state payroll tax to generate revenue

3.   Option to
opt-out of social security. You will no longer pay social security tax, payroll
taxes and no social security retirement check. What you paid for in social
security will be returned to you in one lump sum or installments. Age
limitation set at 30. So only people over 30 have to stay on social security,
and those who don't opt-out and prefer to get social security at age 70

4.   Eliminate
all corporate federal income tax. No individual tax for people below poverty
level, progressive for middle class, above that flat tax at 20 percent. You
will see in-sourcing of jobs and capital into the United States

Knowing that cuts have to be made to the deficit, why are they targeting what is needed in the budget and not the drains. We don't need Earned Income Credit(EIC) lets faze it out over 5 years, after all it was created to only be $500.00 for the low wage earners now it is over $5000.00. Why not take the federal tax system and make it like the states. Once you get to zero there is no money sent to a tax payer, after all once you get to zero you aren't really a tax payer.

A study was done years ago and it found out that increasing the retirement age would keep more people in the working pool and increase unemployment. If the government hadn't messed with the money in social security they would have the money that was needed for retirement payouts. Allowing people to retire at age 62 would decrease the unemployment rate.

The disparty in incomes from the 1% to the 99% has grown in the last 10 years so it's the highest income disparty EVER......The wealthy saw a 240% increase in income while the middle class saw their incomes flatline. Where once they owned 27% of the total wealth they now own 40%....

I say tax the crap out of those (so called job creators, who aren't creating jobs) until the wealth distribution is back to 2000 levels.

Since they are incapable or unwilling to create jobs, screw them. I have no problem with people getting wealthy, but when you create an tax system that plain favors one class over the other (The Bush Plan), it's time to stop it.
