Cain camp says it's raised $9 million since Oct. 1

Herman Cain's campaign said today it has raised $9 million since Oct. 1, doubling so far Cain's entire third-quarter haul.

A quarter of that money, about $2.3 million, came just in the last 10 days -- as he's been embroiled in a sexual-misconduct scandal.

There is no way to independently confirm the numbers until Jan. 15, when the campaigns are required to its fourth-quarter report with the Federal Election Commission.

Here's the Cain campaign's press release:

Herman Cain Campaign War Chest Skyrockets

Presidential candidate Herman Cain is "in it to win it," according to newly released financial numbers. The Herman Cain Campaign reports receiving over $9 million of financial support from Cain backers since October 1st. Twenty-five percent of these newly received contributions have come in the last ten days.

The generosity of Mr. Cain's followers has more than doubled in the past five weeks, compared to the financial gifts received in the previous two quarters combined. According to the campaign's third quarter FEC filing, Mr. Cain's campaign received $4.7 million from May through September 30th. The campaign has received a total of $14.1 million in financial support since the start of the campaign.

"Mr. Cain's vision to renew our country and create new jobs via his bold "9-9-9 Plan" is resonating across America," said Mark Block, Chief of Staff to the Herman Cain presidential campaign. "Mr. Cain's business experience and executive leadership is needed to put America back on the track to prosperity. Voters want to be part of the Cain Train so they are donating their time, talent and treasure to make sure Mr. Cain is our next president."

How about a statement clearning the way for the Restaurant Association releasing all relavent records? How about a civil suit against Politico or the woman who have made these claims against you? You're more than a fool if you think the GOP Establishment are behind you Herm. They are just waiting for you steam to fizzle bruh.

Hell, if Romney wins maybe he'll consider giving you a shot at Secretary of State. I mean if the Senate or anyone else tries to trip you up you just tell them the following:

"First...my answer to <insert random issue> is that we've got to strengthen the US economy."

"Secondly...I don't even know who the #*(@ you are! How am I supposed to be expected to address you and I've never even seen you before?"

and thirdly..."...excuse me, excuse!?!? I said fn excuse me!!!!!! Just perform your own calculation and you will see for yourself that everything you ever wanted to know about Herman Cain ."

Cain has raised only $14.1-million ~ total ~ since he started? Why Hell, that will last just about half of the primary season ~ ~ then what? Maybe he is counting on the Christian Evangalicals bailing him out. Their favorite son, Rick Perry, has blown himself up and Mitt Romney is a Mormon (you know, a non-Christian cult as described by one of their bible thumping prophets). Romney has that much in pocket change ~ plus a ton of his own fortune that he can toss into the pot. Then again, Herman may be counting on pizza parties to raise funds.

So he raised nine million dollars? Proof that the wealthy need to pay more taxes. Apparently, they have so much spare cash, they don't mind supporting this buffoon's lost cause. You have to wonder how people this stupid managed to acquire this much dough.

No that would appear to be the predilection of Democrats-

They still promote a rapist and adulterer as one of their heroes (Bill Clinton)

They continue to prefer totalitarian socialism over individual liberty and the Constitution.

        Reply#34 - Thu Nov 10, 2011 4:39 PM EST

I didn't say my career credentials were Superior to Cains. But I'm not running for president. The difference between Cain and me is I know I'm not qualified; He doesn't. Furthermore, in my career, I've always been respectful to women and there are no sexual harassment charges pending against me. I don't believe he's a stupid man but he must be delusional to think he has a chance to be the leader of the free world. You can be successful and still be a buffoon.

R Bell, ok then tell us what disqualifies Cain from being president?

He has a rags to riches story (magnified by growing up while segregation was still rampant).

He has a successful record as a business leader

He rose to be Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve, Kansas City Region.

There is ZERO EVIDENCE of any negative behavior in his life, including his behavior to women.

He has NO sexual harassment charges pending as you claim.

As to your last, Obama is not stupid but he has demonstrated that he should not be president.

Best news I've heard today. Go ahead and let the teabaggers run him. He is a fine example of their intelligence and integrity and as such will probably get trounced by Gingrich and Romney or if not, then by Obama. He would probably suffer less wounds from Gingrich than from Obama, haha. Plus, a lot of dumfugged rightwingers will have parted with lots of cash that could have gone to a more competent candidate, again, a plus for Obama.

I am grateful for the financial support of the Koch brothers to rid us of Stalinist Democrats like Obama and the Dem Congress. I fully support and encourage the Koch brothers and any other successful people in this country who are committed to returning our nation to constitutional govt.

How do you feel about Big Government telling people what they can and can not do with their own lives or bodies. How is that not Communist. Can you explain what policies Obama has enacted that are stalinist and why. We need to be educated on this.

                  tis the season

                  Stalinism and the Democratic Party

Both support totalitarian govt where the power is centralized and places the welfare and ideology of the state above all else.

Both Stalinism and the Democrats rely upon modern forms of mass-media communications that to control such as newspapers, radio, cinema and even television in their largely successful attempts to control and manipulate the hearts and minds of the public.

                  Both have their roots in left-wing socialist ideology;

Both elevate the state and collectivism over individuality and the right of the individual to the pursuit of happiness.

Both support redistribution of wealth to punish success destroy the ability of the individual to maximize their personal and family legacies- both also seek to use the estate tax as part of this punishment and marxist redistribution

                  Both are anti-business, anti-corporations

Both are based upon rule by fear- (ie Democrats “Republicans want poor people to die, want dirty air and polluted water, etc.”)

Cain knew this would cause him problems way back when he tried to run before. He was told that it would never fly and so he withdrew.... him and his advisers knew once the information became public knowledge there would be no point in it. This also is proven by one of Cain's statements about "this happened a long time ago, what's the point of bringing it up now".....

With his attitude, disdain towards women and pattern of behavior.... I'm surprised these are the only allegations. If his wife ever gets fed up, she's sure to have many more "tidbits" about what Cain is really like. And to those that blindly support him, all I have to say is: this is the type of person that you want representing you? You are either blind (and more) or you agree with his actions....

Cain rolled out his 999 plan, and Republican, Democrat and non partisan economists ALL said it would increase the deficit, cut taxes, for the wealthy, raise taxes on the middle class and poor; Herman's response: "no it won't", but with NOevidence to back it up.

Herman, in a televised interview clearly did not know that China was a nuclear power; Hermans response: Yes I did, even though anyone who saw the interview knows that hedidn't have a clue.

4 women have accused Herman, of sexual harassment, 1 republican pollster says he personally SAW Herman sexually harass another woman; Herman's response "I never harassed anyone".

There is definitely a credibility problem, and I don't thnk it is necessarily just with the women accusers, who Herman and the right wing are so eager to villify. The fact that Herman's raising more money despite his 999 plan, his ignorance, of foreign affairs, tells me all I need to know about the right wing.

                      Tis the Season,

Have you ever heard of paybacks? "One hand washes the other."

Obama's Union buddies in the car industry got BAIL OUTS for one thing. The "green" companies get waivers (from Obamacare) and "investments" from tax dollars ( i.e. Solyndra) .

Only the people who oppose Obama will have to play by the rules. For instance, Obama went after Boeing for trying to create 1000 NON Union jobs in So.Carolina.

We thought Obama wanted to CREATE JOBS..................Problem is, he only wants to create UNION JOBS and GOVT. JOBS.

If it's up to Obama, Unionized companies and "green" companies won't need to "pay their fair share," but everyone else will.

In 1925, Fred C. Koch joined MIT classmate Lewis E. Winkler at an engineering firm in Wichita, Kansas, which was renamed the Winkler-Koch Engineering Company. In 1927 they developed a more efficient thermal cracking process for turning crude oil into gasoline. This process threatened the competitive advantage of established oil companies, which sued for patent infringement. Temporarily forced out of business in the United States, they turned to other markets, including the Soviet Union, where Winkler-Koch built 15 cracking units between 1929 and 1932. During this time, Koch came to despise communism and Joseph Stalin's regime.[11][12] In his 1960 book, A Business Man Looks at Communism, Koch wrote that he found the USSR to be "a land of hunger, misery, and terror."[13] According to Charles G. Koch, "Virtually every engineer he worked with [there] was purged."[12]
