Subscribe to RSSHerman Cain's campaign said today it has raised $9 million since Oct. 1, doubling so far Cain's entire third-quarter haul.
A quarter of that money, about $2.3 million, came just in the last 10 days -- as he's been embroiled in a sexual-misconduct scandal.
There is no way to independently confirm the numbers until Jan. 15, when the campaigns are required to its fourth-quarter report with the Federal Election Commission.

Presidential candidate Herman Cain is "in it to win it," according to newly released financial numbers. The Herman Cain Campaign reports receiving over $9 million of financial support from Cain backers since October 1st. Twenty-five percent of these newly received contributions have come in the last ten days.The generosity of Mr. Cain's followers has more than doubled in the past five weeks, compared to the financial gifts received in the previous two quarters combined. According to the campaign's third quarter FEC filing, Mr. Cain's campaign received $4.7 million from May through September 30th. The campaign has received a total of $14.1 million in financial support since the start of the campaign.
"Mr. Cain's vision to renew our country and create new jobs via his bold "9-9-9 Plan" is resonating across America," said Mark Block, Chief of Staff to the Herman Cain presidential campaign. "Mr. Cain's business experience and executive leadership is needed to put America back on the track to prosperity. Voters want to be part of the Cain Train so they are donating their time, talent and treasure to make sure Mr. Cain is our next president."

It may be true. It may not be true. But the Cain candidacy is not going anywhere, because he is a loon.
I'll be very surprised if he is still on the political radar screen come January of next year.
Cain in the Whitehouse - I can't see it. But then I can't see anyone of them who want the job making it. How sad that this is the best the Republicans have to offer.

America has a functional illiteracy rate of 22%. This means that over 44 million American adults cannot do anything more complex than make out certain letters, or spell their name. They cannot read anything even as complex as a restaurant menu, or street signs. And don’t even consider being able to read a note from their kid’s teachers or a job application form.

Herman Cain does not present himself as presidential. The fact that he was self made and successful as an African American, certainly a major hurdle in our fine discriminatory country and I'm sure it was much worse when he was working his way to success. But, we have had more than enough inexperienced presidents with no political experience, no world affairs experience, in fact, no experience than the I do. But these novices looked, sounded and carried themselves in a presidential manner and stilled a room upon entering. Men like Reagan, Bill Clinton, although Clinton had been a governor, and Obama. No one ever questioned an Obama answer to questions asked him or a gaff he may have made. We have obviously lost our chances to get real solid experienced and respected candidates, probably for a long time. The political parties and there various satellite groups who do nothing but pitch dirt, true or not against the opposition, so the candidate looks clean. Congress has settled in to a street gang mentality, each party vote as one no matter what some individuals may think, they are forced to vote in one block so nothing really moves. When you look back at where we have taken ourselves it really doesn't matter who sits in the White House. In the last ten year we've a war monger lead us in to overt invasions of countries under the banner of spreading Democracy and if the people in these occupied, invaded country don't want Democracy then we shoot them and blow up their cities. And the next president's worse accusation to face from the opposing party is his not keeping his agenda as a candidate, but no president has ever been able to do that. It's the way we want it, there is only a minority of Americans who care with their vote.
This is not surprising because this is from the 1%ers who are extreme libertarians that want to continue gaining wealth at the expense of the 99ers. He like them expresses dislike for liberals, workers, the middle and lower classes and WOMEN. Mr. Cain's calling Nancy Pelosi a Princess proves his superiority attitude toward women and opens up the door to the possibility that he really did sexually harass some of the women who worked for him. My guess is that these contributions are coming from a small group of 1%ers like the Koch Brothers and Grover Norquist to try to fool the public into thinking that Herman has more support than he really has. This is all a distraction so these GOP Presidential candidates do not have to address the real issues like JOBS and housing. They do not want the public to know their true thought like what was done in the states that elected GOP/Tea Party governors and/or state legislatures. Herman is a pompous .... ...!!!!
A womanizer who wants to raise taxes on the middle class so that all those poor rich folks can keep more of their inheritances. These are the values of the GOP?

Let's (democrats) hope Mr. Cain's supporters continue (even accelerate) their giving to his campaign. Each dollar given to Cain is a dollar that will not be used by the eventual GOPeaParty nominee to oppose President Obama.

GOPeaParty Newsvine commenters could hardly care less if Cain is eventually found to be guilty of the charges. They will simply change their user names (again).
But, have sympathy for them. They must choose between "Can't win" Cain and RHINO Romney. They are even taking a second look at Gingrich. It's late, they are drunk, and there aren't many left in the bar.

Cain's camp says they have raised all that money. Has this been verified by any other source? Just because his peeps say he has the bucks, doesn't make it any more truthful than saying that all those women lied. If you're going deny deny deny, who/what will stop you from embelishing on that actual donation number?
The more I read about the Herman Cain "scandal" the more convinced I am that this a public lynching of a conservative black man by liberals in order to destroy him and his conservative agenda. And it just makes me loathe liberals more than I already did.

Of course we do......and that is exactly what we are attempting to do: find out "what Herman Cain actually did". If you have a faster route to that end, please let everyone know.
Also, keep in mind: Even Mr. Cain has suggested it was the Perry campaign that leaked this information. It wasn't democrats. However, now that the information is in the public domain, we all have an obligation to uncover the full truth. Don't you agree?
BTW---what is it EXACTLY that MSNBC has reported regarding this Herman Cain sexual harassment episode that has been "misleading"?

Anthony Weiner IS a pervert. Democrats do not deny that. In fact, democrats were out front calling for him to resign. Check the history.
The fact is the marriages of most PERVERTS are "presided over" by religious officials (i.e ministers). Are you suggesting that such religious officials are tarnished thereby?
If so, why don't you make it your life's work to ferret out such PERVERTS before they commit their acts of perversion and let those religious officials know so they can avoid being so tarnished?

Cain didn't "raise" anything. Getting monies from foreign entities, Wall Street, and the Koch brothers is fundraising. They're pledges. Besides, anybody can throw out any number to try to impress somebody. Cain is nothing but a joke. He's their token answer to Obama....NOT. LOL
