Subscribe to RSSSince Sunday night, when the story broke about the sexual harassment allegations surrounding Herman Cain, his campaign says it has raised more than $1 million.
Since IowaFund.com was launched this morning at 6, it has pulled in $100,000, the campaign said.
NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell reported this morning on an email solicitation to supporters from Cain’s Iowa chairman Steve Grubbs. In it, he said, "The other Republican candidates, the liberal media, and even President Obama have begun to publicly attack Mr. Cain because they are intimidated by his ‘9-9-9 Plan’ and his ability to connect with Americans. As Mr. Cain continues to pull away in the polls, we expect the attacks to continue."
Cain spokesman J.D. Gordon told NBC, "Mr. Cain's supporters around the country have rallied around him, and we have been encouraged by their strong showing."
As a result, the Cain campaign has gone up with ads on conservative talk radio shows of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

Good, I'm glad Cain's campaign is raising money.
I think I speak on behalf of most liberals when I wish Herman Cain all the success in the world. Cain is the perfect representative (as is Michelle Bachmann) for today's Republican Party. The GOP should stick with him and liberals, if they know what is good for them, will stay mum.
Maybe Cains ssupporters are buying the new ring tone.....

Herman Cain is not the issue.
A million dollars since Sunday night, but I wonder how much of that was raised since yesterday morning.
These donors are the same people that made Sarah Palin a multi millionaire. I guess if people want to flush their hard earned money down the toilet by giving it to those oh so deserving politicians, then they have that right.
Obama should refund any contribution received from Corzine to the people that were pilfered.

The Mighty Wurlitzer (aka the right wing noise machine) has been pushing whatever ridiculous meme best serves the GOP establishment's short term interest for a very long time. In the process of executing countless character assassinations, xenophobic screeds, and malicious witch hunts the Wurlitzer has grown in strength and influence. Now, the Wurlitzer has slipped the leash. The Frankenstein monster that is hate radio is turning on its former masters and (almost) none of the actual Republican politicians have the cojones to stand up to the likes of a Rush Limbaugh.
That is why the GOP is centered around silly non-issues like "Sharia Law" and equally silly candidates like Herman Cain, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry. They are a captive of their own message. They are stuck in a feed back loop they can't escape and I, for one, am loving it.

One does have to have an open mind, once there all is possible. There is no trick, our minds are that powerful. Walking on coals and not burning yourself takes an incredible faith and belief in yourself.
My son 10 years old also walked that evening. He had terrible athletic foot for almost a year and we had tried every kind of medicine and the facilitator told my son that if he walked on the fire it would go away. The amazing thing is that it did and he is now 32 and it has never come back.
I too would walk on coals to be able to vote for Obama for president again. It has been 22 years and it scares me just as much as the first time.

If we had listened to Jimmy Carter in the late 1970's, we would be off foreign oil, and we'd be the world leader in alternative energy technology. Think of all the grief we could have avoided if we had re-elected ole' sweater-loving, energy-conserving, turn down the thermostat, solar-panels on the White House, Carter. I find it repulsive every time I see a candidate bragging how much money they have raised for it means nothing not zilch not one iota. It makes no difference how much money he has raised for you cannot buy or change your reputation or pay angry voters to not be angry. Cain has been caught lieing about what happen in the past. Getting caught was bad enough but he made it worse by prentending he didnt remember. He should now just saddle the horse and leave town honorably instead of stirring the pot until it boils over. This story is going to get much much worse and you would think he is smart enough to know it.
well I hate to tell ya, but one million is a couple of TV spots and a few campaign events. I woldn't be bragging about a million if I were Cain...he's barely raised enough yet to keep his book tour going (no wonder he has no real campaign staff, no presence in the early caucus states, and ridiculously used his own campaign director in his first ad to endorse him.)
He should refund the money--the product is subject to a national recall due to a significant defect!

Anyone that supports Cain, in my opinion has no respect for woman. Maybe they would feel different if it was their daughter or wife that was treated like the women in the NRA...or maybe they wouldn't care at all. I also wonder if it was a white man doing this, if we would also call it a lynching. When Clinton was busy making a fool of himself he didn't call it a lynching. It's just stupid inappropriate behavior. White or black doesn't matter. Hopefully if he becomes President he won't behave like that to the wives of other leaders.
