As Herman Cain contends with the media scrum and as Rick Perry has begun his TV ad blitz in Iowa, Mitt Romney has kept a relatively low profile so far this week.
And that's given him time to continue bracketing President Obama. After the president yesterday conducted interviews with nine local TV affiliates, as well as with Hearst Television, Romney's campaign reached out to these same affiliates. And today, Romney has interviews with three of them: KUSA in Denver; WTVT in Tampa, FL; and KTRK in Houston.
Earlier this morning, the Romney campaign also released an email jabbing at Obama's statements in these affiliate interviews. “President Obama has stepped off his campaign bus and taken the Magical Misery Tour nationwide," said Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul in a statement. "Unfortunately, more political rhetoric and blame-shifting can’t make up for the abject failure of President Obama’s policies over the last three years. Americans know that it’s time for new leadership in the White House.”

Willards back in the 'Mittless Protection Program', I see...
Poor fella - still can't break above 25% in the polls!
Mitten's generates about as much excitement as watching bread - toast! lol
Not to worry about what Mittens has to say. He will change it tomorrow.
You guys on FR should specify which Mit Romney you're talking about. Is it the Romney once for or Romney now against?
If he is speaking in a Southern or Midwestern State, the new Romney is AGAINST. He is AGAINST so many things (and people). But if he is back in the Northeast or on the left coast, the new Romney is somewhat like the old Romney, a little more accepting of the poor and the sick and the immigrants. He might even suggest that he believes in climate change.
If it is a completely new issue, you will just see him lick his finger and hold it to the wind. This technique is what defines him. So, he does have an abiding love for Bob Dylan. "The answer is blowing in the wind."

Wow...that's deep there Romney Camp, deep. Glad to know all that money is going to pay for snappy words like that.
Heck, I'm sure the "markets" will start reacting in seconds knowing such "leadership" is coming to the White House.
Thanks for saving the Country Mitt. You're the greatest.
Hey, he get "props" for the Beatles reference. Of course, he will probably change his mind tomorrow. Maybe use something from Herman and the Hermits.
It is a misery tour because of the phosphorous bombing the Bush Adminstration did on the economy. Yes, Obama should not be proud of 100,000 new jobs per month. But that is much better than the 600,000 jobs lost per month during the last few months of the Bush Administration.
What if that 2.5% growth this past quarter turns into 3.5% growth by Spring. When was the last Republican Administration that did better than 3.5% growth on a consistent basis? You'd have to go back to the mid-Reagan period. But I'm sure that Romney will say that record corporate profits and 3.5% growth is dismal. Perhaps destroying all environmental standards will be the answer. He is sure to suggest that.
Gov. Romney's mistake is that he is letting the President set the agenda. The President makes speeches with his shirt sleeves rolled up and without a tie? Oh, Romney will do that too. The President does interviews with "local" markets? Oh, Romney will do that too. The President travels to Michigan? Oh, Romney will do that too. The President focuses on tax relief for the middle class? Oh, Romney will say that too. At some point, Gov. Romney is going to have to have an agenda of his own, go places on his own, take stands on his own, or he will forever remain in the President's shadow.
Keep it up Mr. President stay out front, and just keep fighting, that is eaxactly why your numbers are going up monthly now.
Yeah Mr. President, screw the Country just and keep Campaigning!
It is a shame that the president has to constantly bird dog such an incompetent and lazy do nothing Congress who ignore the real issues and spend their time and our money naming things Ronald Reagen, and thinking of things to slap the new official national motto on.
must be in your own poll idiota
I suggest you skip over to Foxnews.com to read Joe Trippi's take on the GOP eating their own.
"So there you have it. Mitt Romney, one of the weakest frontrunners for the nomination of either party in my lifetime being chased down by a well-funded Rick Perry in what may be the latest political murder-suicide. And the only people left standing are candidates unelectable or too risky. Candidates the GOP establishment wants to stop at all costs.
Still think Barack Obama is a one term president?"

Loyal, Joe Trippi is just one of many Democrats that contribute to Foxnews for fair and honest coverage. Who does MSNBC have again???
They have Andrea Mitchell, Morning Joe, Chuck Todd to name a few.
Magical Misery Tour...classic. The Candy Man Can!!!
Andrea Mitchell & Chuck Todd? You can't be serious?
Michael Steele, Peggy Noonan, Mike Murphy, Phil Musser, Joe Watkins, Ron Christy, Joe Scarborough - among many
Oh yes she is serious and I second her post.....those two are trying their hardest to make him a one termer, they have their own spin and take on all he says and does and it is not complimentary. You need to listen to them more often.
Andrea Mitchell & Chuck Todd are Republicans. They try to hide it sometimes, but it still comes through.
HI!!! My mane is Mitt Romney and I'm pro-life/choice-pro-chiocelifer. I favor gun ( no --- well sometime) legislation anti gun/pro /NRA '' anti -- no (plenty) guns for all. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME -- because I'm always consistent
"Romulian Romney" is back to his Cognitive Disabilities, and his political flip-flopping continues. The "Gross Odd People" (GOP), and the "Really Not Competent" (RNC) are going to run the "Romulian" against the President. What a joke! The President will defeat this GOP/RNC Political Puker in 2012. That is fact!
