More 2012: 'Occupy Iowa'?

“Iowa activists are inviting caravans of protesters from across the country to help them ‘occupy’ all the presidential campaign headquarters in Iowa – and to shut the offices down if they feel their message about corporate greed is not being heard,” the Des Moines Register reports. “‘You go inside or if they won’t let you in, you shut ‘em down. You sit in front of their doors,’ said Des Moines’ Frank Cordaro, who came up with the idea that Occupy Iowa’s ‘general assembly’ approved at their 6 p.m. meeting tonight.”

MASSACHUSETTS: “The back and forth video wars in the 2012 Massachusetts Senate race continue, with a new internet-based video advertisement being launched this week by US Senator Scott Brown aimed at defending his environmental record,” the Boston Globe writes. “Brown, a Republican, is fending off a widely-run television advertisement from the League of Conservation Voters that was launched last week.”

So the terms of the "occupation" are that the campaigns must hear their message on corporate greed? If they send out a staffer to hear it, will that be okay?

Sorry. I realize their are important issues loosely intertwined in kind of a floating collage with all this occupy stuff, but the execution of these occupation protests does strike me as a little daffy.

    "Daffy" maybe...

But having a group of protesters with signs, chants and questions showing up at the campaign headquarters or on the campaign trail of candidates is a simple action .

Super PACS buying air time to trash either Romney or Perry is a different level of freedom of speech.

Clinging to a freedom of speech defense sounds odd, when they are trying to shut down political campaign offices.

      Paul,

the way I read the article was that they show up and protest to get their questions addressed first. Shutting down a office is a last resort.

      But You could be right..

We will have to wait and see what comes of this action by Occupy Iowa...

Go Occupiers - I'm very proud of you and do hope you can get the attention you deserve. The only way to stop all this greed to is to either embarress the dickens out of these folks or find a way to change how they live and do business. Looks like you guys are on track to do both! You see folks, I don't care if anyone is rich, hope we can all get as wealthy as we need to be, however, what I do care about is the big lie: That those receiving the tax break will use it to create jobs - now how's that one working out for ya? wink, wink!

Best bumper sticker of last week: Hope and Change are working out just fine for me, thanks for asking! And as for me and my family - well it's the truth.

Peace be with you today Occupiers!

The Koch brothers went from 7.5 billion worth to 50 billion worth in 10 years of Bush tax cuts. Apparently the tax cuts weren't big enough and 42.5 billion is not enough money to do anything with such as jobs, being the Koch brothers are laying off workers.

Republican answer is to give them more tax cuts. Cain wants to cut the Koch brothers now low taxes in half again.

Republicans call liberals brainwashed as the republicans vote against their own survival as a country.

The Occupiers have every right to speak their minds, and politically/economically they are making a statement. To really their message clear? Is to get out in full force to vote in 2012. The Koch Brothers are getting richer by the day, and they have plans to destroy any Energy Policy. That is fact! The "Gross Odd People" (GOP), and the "Really Not Competent" (RNC) have plans to listen to the Occupiers at all. The GOP/RNC Clowns have no clue of what America is going through right now. "Scary Perry" is a "Stuttering Spewer" with no Cognitive Abilities at all. Last Friday, "Scary Perry" looked and sounded like a mental patient! Is he off his meds?? Again! Remember Occupiers to duck and cover. If you see "Romulian Romney's Bird of Prey flying overhead? Just give a big political thumbs down.

The Occupiers need to just move forward. The GOP/RNC have no intention of listening to the Occupiers. Mainly because they have no money for donations/bribes. Now. If this was the big oil CEO's out there joining the Occupiers? The GOP/RNC would listen to the Occupiers, and they would try to make President Obama the bad guy in all this. Again!
