Bachmann: NH staffer exodus story 'isn't true'

NEW YORK -- Michele Bachmann is pushing back against reports that her presidential campaign staff in New Hampshire has quit.

The New Hampshire television station WMUR was first to report today that Bachmann's paid staff in the Granite State had left the campaign. According to WMUR, the staff was disappointed Bachmann was not more committed to winning the New Hampshire primary.

But this afternoon, in a telephone interview with Radio Iowa, Bachmann called the report "a shocking story."

"We have called staff in New Hampshire to find out where that came from, and the staff have said that isn't true," Bachmann said. "I don't know if this is a just a bad story that's being fed by a different candidate or campaign."

Bachmann added that the story is "certainly not true."

NBC has not confirmed the report.

Bachmann most recently visited New Hampshire for campaign events on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10; her last visit before then was on June 28.

*** UPDATE *** Bachmann campaign manager Keith Nahigian has issued this statement: "We have a great team in New Hampshire and we have not been notified that anyone is leaving the campaign. We look forward to spending more time in the Granite State between now and the primary, but our campaign has emphasized that our main focus is the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa and we are continuing to build efforts there. While she will campaign in other states, Michele will spend the majority of her time in Iowa, doing what she does better than all the other candidates - retail politics - leading up to the all important caucuses."

Backmama needs to stick to just $tealing from Minnesotans as her not ready for prime time schtick is not working so well at the National level.....

Maybe Backmama can get help from Sarah Palin?

On the other hand I doubt it as Sarah knows what a looser looks like all to well as she see's one every time she looks in a mirror while she pimps I mean primps herself for the FOX cameras, or any cameras for that matter....

Stupid reporting msnbc. You can't even be truthful in your story telling. I don't even care if its about Reps or Dems it was just bad reporting - I am speaking mainly about the video post for the subject. Throughout the video you even say that you have not been able to actually talk to anyone about the facts so therefore you have none. But that does not stop you from making the headline that "the entire staff" has quit. I'll get my news somewhere else from here on - you're off my browser. I expect more, no matter what your politics are.

What a relief!!!....that sound was only the entire staff going out the door..Whew, at first when we heard it, we thought it was the wind rushing through Michelle Bachman's head....What an absolute, vacuous dolt, I wonder how many other state staffs have quit and she doesn't know about it???

I'm just waiting for the infamous line when she finally admits the truth. Can you all here it now "My NH staff quit because Obama is in the white house, Obama a one term president". The only answer she has ever given to any questions about our countries policies.

You forgot the part where she denounces Obamacare.
