Vote: Is Romney the inevitable nominee?

I personally like the feud between the power brokers of the right.

The Kochs want to save money by sliding Christie into the 2nd seat behind Romney as he is their anointed 2016 candidate.

The Rovians might be losing their grip on the whole process.

When the dust settles, the obscene amount of citizens united $$$ will bury The President due to him ticking off so many that worked for him in 2008[and will not this time around]. It may not matter who is running against him.

Four more years of Obama grid lock would be better then four years of Romney chaos.

You forget that Obama is only one vote. Get real bitter.

Call it whatever you want. Grid lock is better than Anarchy.

Funny how Christie had to come to Romney defence over attacks by Perry Pastor.....

The GOP can't even agree on the Religion they are supporting....

Maybe it should be Romney and Christie......we need a President who has to wait for his "big brother" to

        help him.......

I sure hope he gets to run. The WallStreet Corpoorate Republicans put Herman Cain in only to steal Obama votes from the Black voters. This is old school stuff. The Black voters are much more informed than the WallStreet Republicans think. Go WallStreet Romney! The American People hope you get to run because The American Peoople Barack Obama not only deserves another four years, but much more.

Maybe Perry is the best and most consistant choice of the GOP......

He doesn't have an Economic plan either................................

In Romney, the Repubs, neo-nuts, & 'bagger-boobs are gonna be voting for a very unloved character. Or...they just might not vote at all.

Questions: When will Congress give itself another pay raise? When will be Congress' next vacation?

BTW: Obama wins again in 2012...!!

If you people vote for a republican, you are dumber than I thought. Republicans are for the rich and nobody else. What is wrong with you people. The American people get dumber and dumber.

Is Romney the assured nominee?? Maybe, but let's wait and see what the voters do in the primaries. That is the only poll that really matters anyway.

Does Romney have baggage? sure and so do the other fine candidates. They hang their dirty laundry out for all to see. Unlike Obama. Obama's school records are sealed. Any articles or papers he wrote in college are sealed. No one in columbia school of law remembers Obama. No one. Hmmmmmm.

Did Obama ever date anyone before Moochelle Antoinette?? Who did he date and where is she?? Why all the secrecy??

What a joke the GOP turned out to be. Well the 9 9 9 plan won't fly, Godfathers pizza went bankrupt. Buchmann wants to pray over the gay to turn them straight. An let the religious freak show begain. They do like to play and believe in make believe. But good luck praying over this country problems GOP.

I'm a Liberal and I think the tea people GOP republicans should start listening to Buddy Romer more. He's the only one that sounds sane at this point.

Yeah, Roemer is also the only one with a halfway decent track record. Sadly for them he's against money in politics, so he will never be a viable option for the "bought and paid for" GOP/TP. That alone goes to show why has little to no coverage although he is the best candidate they have and possibly the only one who could out debate Obama.

I hoped that Jon Huntsman could emerge to take this place within the party, but it looks less likely I'm sorry to say. Romney is far and away the next best thing.

So President LAME DUCK's stimulus II plan has failed.

                    Big surprise!

Time to campaign while millions sit unemployed!

This country needs new leadership now not 13 months of a lame duck dishing out nothing but class warfare.

                    Obama is a national tragedy!!!!!!!!!

Obama is a national tragedy? Why? Because he proposed to put people back to work by rebuilding this country? Maybe you find it comforting to drive over roads and bridges that are in serious need of repair. Or you like the fact that your child has to attend a school that may need upgrading and has to be in a class room with 50 other students because there aren't enough teachers to accommodate smaller classes. What about the fact that there may not be enough policemen around if, God forbid, your house is being burglarized or you wife is being raped and what about if your neighbor's house burns to the ground because there aren't enough firemen to put the fire out. In my opinion, the Grand Obstructionist Party is the national tragedy. They will say NO to things they had once agreed on just because Obama proposed it and that is no way to show how much they are for the people. With them it's All For Us and the Hell With The Rest of You. They have consistently proven their greed and their romance with corporations with their no tax position on millionaires and billionaires who should be paying their fair share and they have proven how much they want to take us back with their new ID laws where voting is concerned targeting the poor, blacks, and Hispanics. They want nothing but to take away our basic rights just so they can have their way. They are hypocritical and greedy. Bad for America and bad for the American Way of Life.

After reading all of the posts, I've found a lot of candidates (and a sitting President) that people don't like, but nobody seems enthusiastic about anybody. Have Americans lost faith in the system? That's a question, not an opinion.

It's a hard thing to find someone with 1) good conservative ideas, 2) a solid leadership record, and 3) excellent charisma & communication skills. Romney has #3, Cain has #2, Paul has #1 and #2, and Bachmann and Perry have none of the above. (I don't even bother with Huntsman & Gingrich.) Personally, I'd back Paul, but he has no real chance in a debate against Obama. I think folks are looking for a Reagan-like candidate, but we haven't seen him or her yet. Obama is probably going to win, just because he has no real opposition.

I'm a left-leaning independent and I'd be more willing to back Roemer than any of the current crop of candidates on that front. Sadly, he hasn't been able to get off the ground due to his inability to step in line with the required talking points.

There is no question that every republican on that stage is more versed and intelligent than Obama.

Too bad none of you libs on this post watched. If you did, you would have seen that any one of them would do more for the economy and hense you, than any plantation democrat would.

I'm an independent conservative, but I cannot stomach Romney for the simple reason that he comes across fake to me. He's polished, and most definitely a politician, but we've had our share of polished politicians who've wrecked our country. Herm Cain is real. His unorthodox approach scares the status quo, but that's what's so appealing to me. Our country needs to be seriously and deeply revamped in order to survive, and he's the only one who sees this and has a plan that matches.
