Chris Christie to endorse Romney

NBC News confirms that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will make a surprise appearance today and endorse GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney this afternoon in New Hampshire before tonight's debate.

Romney and Christie will be holding a joint press conference at 3:00 pm ET.

Christie announced last week that he would not be getting into the race, and at that time said he was waiting to endorse down the road. Christie and Romney have had a good relationship for many years, but it is a surprise that it is happening so quickly.

Ironically, the endorsement comes on the heels of a recent "Saturday Night Live" skit, in which the comedian playing Christie tried to convince Republican donors to give Romney a chance.

NBC's Chuck Todd reports that popular New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will endorse Mitt Romney's presidential run.

Jamie Gangel - You did NOT seriously waste news time asking Christie if Romney "promised him anything" in eturn for the endorsement? Although we all understand the curiousity about Cgristie as a running mate, it's downright insulting to bold-face ask a candidate that question. I'm sure Romney's honest but it's not like he's going to say anything but "No of course not". ("Why yes, Jamie, I gave him a bag of gold and some crack!")

Anyway, just a waste of airtime, unless you have to dumb it down for the viewers who might need to hear it out loud. I'm a Democrat but that was just rude to Romney & Christie.

Chriss Christie is Morbably OBESE. I am sensative to this but I am not voting a man in office that children look up too and say "momy look how fat that man is". Right or wrong it will happen. Lose the fat and quit making excuses for it like saying you battled it all your life. Quit shoveling food in and you will have no weight problem. Do this and you might someday be our next president. Don't and you will just be a fat man on the corner.

Hey, James F...Christie also has diabetes and asthma. He was hospitalized for an asthma attack about 6 months ago. None of us Nerseyites knows if he keeps his diabetes in check.

Christie's body is a medical/physical cesspool. Romney can have this 400lb, loudmouth turd...!

Romney has picked his runnin' mate, for sure! And, he can have him.

Christie has done nuthin' to brag about in New Jersey, other than help raise tolls to NY, piss off unions and teachers, and talk loud and snarky.

        BTW:Obama wins again in 2012...!
