Chris Christie to endorse Romney

NBC News confirms that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will make a surprise appearance today and endorse GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney this afternoon in New Hampshire before tonight's debate.

Romney and Christie will be holding a joint press conference at 3:00 pm ET.

Christie announced last week that he would not be getting into the race, and at that time said he was waiting to endorse down the road. Christie and Romney have had a good relationship for many years, but it is a surprise that it is happening so quickly.

Ironically, the endorsement comes on the heels of a recent "Saturday Night Live" skit, in which the comedian playing Christie tried to convince Republican donors to give Romney a chance.

NBC's Chuck Todd reports that popular New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will endorse Mitt Romney's presidential run.

My husband asked me, after hearing the smear against Mitt Romney & his religion, "What does cult mean", I told him, "hear is the definition", CULT - (N.) Religious sect or system. (A.) Popular with a particular group. So we discussed it, this is what we realized. If you like "American CULTure", or "Mexican CULTure", or "Italian CULTure", then you must belong to a cult. Also, if you are Catholic, Christian Science, Methodist, etc., then you must belong to a cult. Maybe someone should tell the "Mainstream Christians" & the guy who made the comment when introducing Perry, who don't believe that we who belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (yes Mormons, as we are also called) that he needs to look at the true name of our church and get a clue, we worship Our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, and he is the center of His church. Glad we cleared that up

The GOP is disparate to clear the field early. They can't afford an embarrassment in SC or Florida. It's got to be over before then. While the GOP has more money to spend than Croesus, they can't afford to have people still hearing the voices of the crazies into the summer.

Smart move. Nobody wants a three ring circus in the White House. I'm a Democrat, but if I had to pick the best on the GOP side it would be Romney with Christie as VP!

Thanks for that, Robert. I knew that he had flip-flopped on that issue, among many others. Wonder how many posters here don't know that and won't use your link?

Can a conservative find a political party that is more intelligent than Chris Mathews. Gee! Here is a guy Romney that bought companies, strip them down(means laying people off) and sold the companies for profit. The biggest Wall Street tool you can find. Here - Romney who invented ObamaCare and still thinks its OK! Here Romeny is a guy who on Friday in a full moon will agree on your position but on Thurs with a crescent moon will disagree on the same position and argue he was never for the position. The Republican Party put this clown up against Obama ----it's Obama 4 more years.

Honestly, that's what they're doing, continuing to shoot themselves in the foot. I wouldn't be celebrating right now over Christie"s endorsement if I were a Rep Con. Just as I heard Christie say in a press conference: "this only works here." He meant in NJ. Not ready for prime time; ie., not going to win any votes in the Midwest or South. Christie doesn't play well in those areas of the country.

I have written letters to all 3 top candidates asking each a fairly simple policy question. I won't say what it is, it would get the lefties all wound up. But...I have received a reply from Romney and Perry, but not Cain. Is this corporate big wig too big for his panties? Is he too important in his own mind to answer to an interested average Rey?

Reported from California as the secret came out and again liars got caught. Christi was doing fundraising telling his fellow party members the money would go to Mitt Romney's campaign as Christi said he would be supporting Romney for President. This deal was done when Christi announce to the public he was thinking about running for President. Getting large donations by fraud and the people and media brought the lies hook line and sinker and the fat gov. is laughing at how easy it was. Go Occupy Wall Street and Voters clean out the corrupt law makers on 2012!!!!

Romney was his third choice, after Ronald McDonald and Big Bob (burgers).

I tend to vote republican don't like left wing liberal stuff much but SNL is funny and if they make fun of conservatives who cares it's a joke....get it a joke. They may have a hidden agenda seeing how there are a lot of liberals involved in the show but who cares you can't take comedy seriously.
