BATON ROUGE, La. – New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie warned a small crowd gathered Thursday evening in a hangar at the Baton Rouge Airport that he would be “watching from New Jersey” for voters to re-elect Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal this fall.
But working the rope line after the event, the New Jersey Republican ignored multiple questions from reporters about a potential bid for the White House, the subject of much speculation after his speech Tuesday at the Reagan presidential library in California.
Still, on Thursday, Christie did more than simply voice his support for the governor of the Bayou State. “If it were, you know, up to Bobby and I, we could focus all our time right here in our own states here in Louisiana and New Jersey,” Christie said. “But we can’t do that, because America needs to get better too.”
And at times he sounded like some of the Republicans now on the presidential campaign trail. “If you’re looking for leadership in America, you know you’re not going to find it in the Oval Office,” he said.
The event was billed as welcome rally for Christie – who later in the evening joined Jindal again for a fundraiser at a private home, with tickets going for as much as $100,000.
At the airport, Christie ended with a warning to Louisiana voters.
He said, “I expect a huge win for Bobby Jindal on election night, and if I don’t get it, if I don’t get it, you don't want me coming back here with a little Jersey attitude on me. You’re going to have a problem if that happens."

Look at these two - Jindal and Christie.
President Obama helped them both out tremendously when they needed federal funding for their disasters, when their own party representatives would rather their states just sink.
Of course neither will mention that President Obama worked closely with them both when disaster hit them.
Reprehensible. Especially Christie.
Speaking from New Jersey Christie is showing his true colors. They can keep him down there.
Christie isn't running.
I thought we settled this.
Romney/Rubio 2012.
Romney/Romney would bring it head to head.
Romney/Rubio the flip flop kings.
Romney you can show his saying both sides of just about every issue.
Rubio you just need to play the speech that praises medicare and what it has done for his parents and allowed them to live in dignity in their old age and should be strengthened and then he flips to the speech where he claims that medicare has made America weak. Has made our people weak and should be abolished.
Mixed Bag. Am I mistaken?? I thought a couple of weeks ago you were saying Perry/Rubio 2012. Are you fickle??
Good ole Christie, paying his dues for 2016? He'll still be obnoxious and his supporters will still be fickle.
So what do want from them?? You want them to throw a big ticker tape parade for Obammy for doing something that the Federal government is supposed to do anyways?? Geesh...the gall... And you wonder why people have a distaste for liberals.
We can't help it that the Teapublican Party sucks. If you'd get rid of your damn purity test, or should I say Puritanical test, and well hell, get a completely new platform other than tax cuts, deregulation, and all the other failed policies -- you might have better candidates right now.
No, but you can help that Obammy sucks! His "message" is old and tired and quite frankly useless! He has disappointed so many of his "believers" that they are leaving in droves. His popularity with the independent base is gone, and even his die hard loons are afraid. His promises have not been kept, and his policies are ill thought out. Add to that this person has never held a "real" job in his entire short life. He has held only one position and that is being a politician. And yet you stand there and criticize other potential candidates? You really should start spending more time propping your puppet leader than finding fault with others.
President Obama's believers are not leaving in droves.
That is just the fantasy you republicans like to tell yourself. This is just a rerun of all the same lies that no one will ever vote for Obama conservatives were spouting off in 2008 that if had been true McCain would be president now.
Pat- Obama was helping Christie and Jindahl? I guess I got it all wrong I thought it was to help the people of those states. As uaual everybody thinks it's government and politics first. " We the people"
Hillary 2012
Time 4truth.....that is how the mind of a liberal works....."backwards"
Christie/Jindal 2016. The new Laurel and Hardy. I can't wait for the SNL skit.

You are quite mistaken, verno.
I am not, nor have I ever been a Perry fan.
Show me the quote.
I'm always "on the record" at First Read.
*runs out and makes a donation for person running against Jindahl"
Jindal? The guy who lied about being a hero during Katrina? The guy who totally bungled the GOP response to Obama's adress in 2009? Jeez, they can't do better than THAT?
Pedestrian -
FYI - Blanco, a democrat, was governor during Katrina, not Jindal. And, actually, it was democrats who totally messed up during Katrina. Blanco could have overridden Ray 'Chocolate City' Nagin, but didn't. And you don't even want to get me started about Nagin, who could have declared a state of emergency before the storm and used public and school busses to get the indigent population out of harm's way
"indigent population"??? Just say what you mean, Tammy. ;)
I don't give two craps who was governor during Katrina. Jindal got up and told a whopper about his actions during the Katrina tragedy. He lied, on camera, to make himself look better.
Jindal and Christie, all about getting better.
It's all about the attitude, liposuction, and the anorexic thingamajig.
The Gulf oysters have a better chance of survival.
To funny !...
Chris Matthews loves Christie. Chris Matthews never does any journalism. He just goes with the latest "image". He never digs deep.
And that's the problem with our media. It's up to we the people to dig.
We have to save America from nonsense and shallow opinions. We've allowed it for far too long.
Pat, what surprised me about Matthews tonight is that he said that Christie could empathize and put into words the pain Americans feel. I have thought it just the opposite. The media reports I have seen of him is mostly his disrespect to voters who TRY to get through to him what is happening to them. I could not figure out where Matthews got that.
NO is a small, unequivocal, two letter word. What part of it do these people not understand?
Good grief, my princess just turned two- and SHE knows what it means.
She should- it's her favorite word. Did I mention, she's two?
newday, Chris Matthews has always been about the soundbite, if he sees a good one, he's on board. He's all emotion. He's quick to get on any bandwagon, anytime. He has never done hard nosed reporting before his program. Rachel does. Lawrence does. Rev. Al does. Keith does.
But Chris just seems to go with the flow, where ever that may lead on any given day. It's not until the heavy hitters do their digging does Chris relent. He's always a day late, a dollar short.
He's not a journalist on his program, he's just a host. I get it. But the info he's putting out there is short on real facts.
Christie is a bully, plain & simple. And now Matthews wants the president to act like Christie.
No.thank.you. I want a leader with dignity. Not someone wanting to take a bat to someone he disagrees with.
I was talking to an uninformed voter today and we were talking about illegal immigration. I told her the president had a tough audience the other day who were unhappy because of no immigration reform. I told her what the president said to them - which was until Congress ACTS, all he can do as President is follow the law.
And she said - I bet he's the only president who has ever adhered to the laws. She got caught up in the GOP of the Bush years but now she's so sorry she did.
She is very very impressed with President Obama. Of course she's ten years older now. That's make a difference to some people I notice.
Now they have growing children and are looking at the GOP of today and saying no way, do they want their children to grow up with them in power. No way.
Matthews really took me by surprise tonight Pat, and your explanation makes sense. I was Republican in the days when they were fiscally conservative, but socially liberal. Left when Schafly and that bunch took over.
Would she also be someone who thought Gingrich was in the House for the vote on the Iraq war? Talk about uninformed.
So, you wowed this poor, uninformed voter with all of Obama's successes? Like unemployment, GDP growth, and foreign policy successes? Talked about how he had reduced the debt?
Bet you dazzled her with the brilliance of his three budgets, huh? Including the latest one for 2012?
I tell you- the remaining people in the Obama camp have set the bar so low, we have to dig to find it.
no joe, Gingrich wasn't in the House when he voted for the war, no. Worse.
He helped the bigwigs plan it.
Yes i dazzled her with my brilliance. Considering it was she who came to me because she's worried about the future of her children in the hands of the GOP. She's now doing her own digging. She has a lot at stake. Her children.
She doesn't need me. She needs to become informed on her own. And she is.
And she despises the Republican Party. The bar was set low when Reagan was elected. Since then every Tom, Dick & Harry in the GOP think they can become president.
Just look at the line your party put out there. It's a disgrace.
The GOP is a joke.
Worried about the future of her children in the hands of the GOP? Like a political party and policy is really the problem... It's people and greed, and corruption, and rampant self interest that's the problem. Not restricted to any political party, and your friend and her children, and you, and me -- we're all subject to it. Until we can put that stuff aside to a much greater degree than we do now, we're all doomed.
juliop: You're joking. The reason the T-party's approval ratings have plummeted is because the lie was revealed. This movement isn't about "fiscal responsibility". Holding the full faith and credit of the United States hostage to their demands for draconian cuts when we're trying to recover from a recession?? Juvenile at best..at worst anti-American. Abide by the Constitution? Oh sure, as long as its the parts they like. (you know that right to privacy including women?? Sorry ladies. We didn't mean THAT part of the constitution. Anyone born here is an American citizen? No way!) The overwhelming majority of Tea Party folks identify with the Republican party (over 75%) and are older, whiter, male and less educated than the general population. Gee, where have we seen this one play out before in history?
Laurel and Hardy 2012
Abbot & Costello 2012 Who's on first? ;-)
Christie will run on the "Anti-Obama" platform.
Seems that's all you need to get right wingers all moist in the panties.
Ask a right winger what they like most about their favorite GOP candidate and they will piss themselves before their head explodes.
The only right wingers that have the courage and intelligence to speak about why they like their candidate are Ron Paul supporters.
Seems strange, the kookiest of them all and yet.....people can explain why they like him.
Ron Paul is the unacknowledged front runner of the republican primary.
FORREST: Ron Paul is the unacknowledged front runner and he will remain that way..... permanently.
This is the physician who says that someone who requires major medical attention and has opt to not purchase insurance "should suffer the consequences of his actions". This from a man of medicine.
He must have taken the hypocritic oath.
Ozzie Boy
Again you speak from ignorance. That's not what he said. He answered the audience with a "no" disagreeing with the audiences approval that the man die.
Its the ignorance fools like you that are turning this country into a 3rd world nation because you are too stupid to educate yourself before you speak and you don't educate yourself to the actions of the the people you support. You just support them because you are a moron and someone else told you to support them.
The latest Gallup poll showing Republicans more enthusiastic only reveals that Republicans are fired up about the idea of voting against the president, not FOR any of their candidates. The president has presented his jobs plan and has been taking it to the people since that poll. I suspect that once conservatives realize the GOP/TP primary field is set, and Americans get out to rallies like the Occupy Wall Street protest across the nation in the coming month, things will shift in the other direction.
Running ... "against Obama gets Republicans moist in the panties."
What a ridiculour comment given that Democrats soiled their panties for the last 4 years running against George Bush.
My BS-meter just pegged.
Republican enthusiasm will remain in place to vote against BHO, regardless of the chosen candidate from the GOP. The more Obama presents his new stimulus/spending plan, the more enthusiastic we become.
The first trillion dollars he had a plan for did nothing. So the idea is to spend even more. And we are to believe him this time?
I dont wear panties, but if I did, they would be moist.
ABO 2012
Oh gee, if only you had a candidate to go with those moist feelings.
The Hypocrite oath
Like calling Obama care socialist while ignoring the Bush Medicare drug program.....A far more expensive special interest socialist program.
Like ignoring that Reagan raised taxes on every single American and American business to pay for.........
THE biggest socialist programs in the US....Social Security and Medicare.
Every GOP supporter takes the hypocrite oath..........Party before country......
Common sense
Another ignorant fool. Obama didn't repeal Bush's the tax cuts to the rich when he had Democratic control of Congress did he, but he sure as hell is crying about them now, isn't he. Talk about a man who talks out of both side of his mouth at the same time; Obama has made a art out of it. Maybe that's why he has no leadership abilities; his brain is too busy trying to keep up with all the lies he tells.
Fool me once, shame you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Obama's been knifing his democratic supporters like you in the back for three years now and you fools go back for more. YOur too stupid to educate yourself to Obama's actions.
For me it is Country before Socialism. The only thing Common about you is your self described wit.
What happenedd: you seem to have a little trouble with "what happened". Of course he didn't "repeal" the Bush Tax cuts. He wouldn't have gotten any budget at all through the Congress. Which is it--make up your mind! Is the President you love to hate doing too much (healthcare for the nation isn't big enough for you??) or "lacking" in leadership? Now what was that about talking out of both sides of your mouth??
Sounds like the GOP got to Christie, wonder what they offered him,the sun,the moon, and everything in between. How many Repubs are now running ?? Wow,this guy wasn't running at all and continued to say no,now all of a sudden it's close to being yes.Wonder how many millions they offered him, yeah he cares about this country, more like he cares about his wallet getting bigger.
Could Christie eat Bachmann in one bite?
He might get a crazy case of Batulism, terrible heartburn, followed by uncontrollable diarrhea of the head and mouth.
Christie could eat Perry and Romney in about 2 minutes.
Paul and Cain would put up a fight.
Palin too....Is she running?
Palin was a front runner not too long ago....What happened?
Did Christie eat her?
Smells like moonbat in here.....
Louisiana Gov Jindal did a great job; the pathetic La. Dem Party cant even get anyone to run against him, who isnt in jail.
Gov Christie scares the snot out of the snooty Harvard eggheads in the liberal Obama Administration, who dont know how to talk to the 'commoners'.
Run for President, Chris; and kick these Dem crooks out, like you did in New Jersey.
Christie scares the people in Burger King who haven't made enough fried food for when he walks through the door.
Obama will bitch slap Christie up, down and sideways.
Then do it again.
And again.
Common sense
You must be talking about Obama's wife. Obama the president has no back bone and gets on his knees to kiss the republicans butts every time he wants to borrow and spend money that isn't his for bailouts and stimulus to his rich buddies.
You Obama supporters are funny. You have no idea what Obama has been doing in office for the past three years, yet you support him. Intelligent of you.
WHAT HAPPENED: How could a Liberal even hope to match you in matters of intellect??? Impossible. You were too clever, you saw through Obama's devious Socialist policies with his tax and spend Liberal ways. Borrowiing money from Republicans to spend on all those Bolshevike policies of his.
Like you, I long for the fiscally reponsible days of Dubya. You remember him, right??? He was the guy who started not one but two UNFUNDED WARS with costs now estimated in the TRILLIONS. Trillions that we will be paying for for the next half century. And let's not forget his UNFUNDED Medicare Part D drug plan, in reality, a gift to the drug companies. Odd, isn't it, that Paul Ryan and his merry band are now screaming about the costs of Medicare and yet they said nothing when Bush initiated this policy.
Yea, you are way too sharp to be taken in by a guy like Obama. Sheep like us Libs, hell, we just go along for the ride. Oh how I pine for the halcyon days of Dubya when our nation was teetering on the brink of a total economic meltdown. Damn but Bush did a cracker jack job, now didn't he???
Look at what just happened to what happened! Ozzy Boy had to tell what happened, what actually happened.
You Obama supports are so knowledgeable about your man, then I know you know this fact between Bush and Obama.
When Bush left office every family's share of our National debt was $45,838.00
As of the beginning of August 2011, Obama's borrowing and spending has every family's share of our National debt at $122,303.00.
That an increase of $76,465.00 in less than 3 years. NOW, tell me what Obama has done for you that warrants your support?
WHAT: Your numbers are as much horse@!$%# as is your entire argument.
Tell me smart guy, how do you suppose we're going to pay for Bush's wars??? Latest estimates on Iraq are for somewhere between 2 to 3 TRILLIONL. And Bush had promised us that the Iraqi oil production was going to cover the entire tab, or had you forgotten???
Ozzie Boy
Oh you mean the two wars Obama has continued for almost 3 years, and also thrown our involvement in a couple more foreign nations civil wars. But Obama hasn't stopped there, has he. He keeps promising to get this country involved in a couple more foreign civil wars hasn't he? Oops, I forgot you don't know what Obama is doing.
I guess you've proved my fact as true, because Obama is borrowing and increasing the national debt to pay for all those conflicts he's keeps us involved in and the new ones he's promised to involve us in.
DUH! Smart ass.
WHAT; The difference between us "Tax and Spend Liberals" and Republicans is that we tax to pay for what we spend, whereas your crowd just spends, and spends, and spends while simultaneously cutting taxes for the uber rich because they are the "Job Providers" don't you know.
And yes, Obama continuned the wars but is winding them down. Would you have preferred had he pulled them out overnight Then you'd say we were "cut and run Liberal's" now wouldn't you??? Of course you would.
And I'd remind you that Obama nailed Bin Laden when your boy Dubya just couldn't get the job done. Remember Bin Laden??? He was the reason why we went to war or perhaps you've forgotten.
"Bring it on", "You're either with us or with the terrorists", "We'll be greeted as liberators", "Iraqi oil production will pay for the war", "We estimate the war will cost between 40 to 50 billion", "Bring it on", and my personal all time fav, "Mission Accomplished".
Mighty tough talk from a pair of draft dodgers, Dubya and Dick "5 student deferment" Cheney.
Say it like Dubya would "we got to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here" one big difference Obama killed the guy that Bush "did not think much about anymore because he hadn't heard from him lately" you know the guy that took out the world trade center, the guy that killed all those Americans, the guy Bush could not get, because he kind of did not think about him too much anymore. Besides that Congress appropriates defense spending not the President at least not Obama the one who follows the constitution and at least trys to be accountable and took responsibility for the money both he and Bush spent on the wars. Call your rep tell him to stop the war funding now I would be all for that but don't pretend this is all Obama's doing.
FORREST: Don't you remember, Dubya said he wasn't interested in where Bin Laden was, that he didn't care, that he was hiding in some cave and it just didn't matter???
Ah, what short memmories our cousins on the Right have.
Ozzie Boy
What is your point? Tell us something Obama has accomplish and that's why you are supporting him. You just keep making excuses.
Just in case you didn't know it; Obama has been in Office for almost three years. What has he accomplished? When he took office everyone with half a brain knows Bush left Obama with a mess. All the bad things Bush left have gotten not only worse under Obama's leadership, Obama has created a couple more crises.
So tell up what has Obama accomplished that warrants your support? Not a hard question for someone who supports Obama. Surely you can name something?
Of course I remember that is what I was talking about, and I remember the smirky way he said it.
It is interesting to read all these comments. One can only conclude that those on the left are firm in their beliefs. (however misguided they are) Those on the right are solid/firm in their beliefs. This country seems very split and I do not see any way one side can govern without the other side whining, arguing, being uncooperative and combative. What would be a reasonable solution since there is such a huge divide? Someone mentioned a "split" country. Half could be in "blue" states and half in "red" states with different Presidents and governments. Almost seems like we are headed that way. It's a shame. I hope it doesn't take another national tragedy to bring us back together. We certainly do need true leadership with reasonable, logical, and bold ideas to get this country and economy back on track.
PEORIA: There was a time, not that many years ago that the term "Compromise" was not a dirty word. However, when you have the party out of power saying that their number 1 goal, in fact, their sole mission, is to defeat Obama for his second term, how much compromise do you think there will be.
Republicans scream murder about "Obama Care" and the Individual Mandate that they challenge in court. What many people forget is that the Individual Mandate was a REPUBLICAN CONCEPT, first developed in the early Nineties and supported by the likes of Newt Gingrich. Republicans are now AGAINST IT simply because Obama is FOR IT. How do you deal with people like that???
Ozzie Boy
Oh yes, compromise like Obama and the Democrats did during the Obamacare rip off of the American people.
You really need to start educating yourself to the actions of Obama. Maybe you'll be able to post something intelligent.
Thanks for explaining how Obama is more of a republican that a republican. Bush bailouts, stimulus, tax cuts for the rich, mandates for health care, etc. all republican policies that Obama implemented.
What's the matter with Obama? Can't he come up with a plan of his own. That shows real leadership qualities; has to do what the republican want to do.
By the way, you are aware that you will start paying for Obamacare in 2014 but you won't receive the majority of the benefits it offers until 2024 or later? You also know we are in a health care crises now don't you. People need health care now, so why is Obama making them wait until 2024 to get it?
You do the only thing you can do, you do what Obama is doing right now, you turn the Waterloo strategy against them, that strategy only works if you have no majority in either house of Congress, once the republicans took the house they are responsible so now it is their Waterloo as well. They blew a hell of a chance, but they are so determined to cook Obama's goose that they are cooking their own goose and the dumb bastards can't help themselves, because it might help him. They got a year left, so I hope there are a few more buildings to name, I would hate to pay the kind of money and benefits we pay a Congressman and not get all the damn buildings named after Ronald Reagan we can get for our hard earned tax money.
WHAT: If what you say is true about Obama, that he copies Republican policies, why all the outrage. And yes, he did model the plan after Romney's in Massachusetts. Whatcha gonna do if Romney is your candidate? I look forward to hearing him explaining away.
Yes, the fact is, Obama has not been all that Liberal. I wish he was, but he has chosen not to govern that way. And yet, to hear you nutcases on the Right relate it, he's a Marxist Bolshevik, attempting to turn the country into one big Socialized society.
Nor did I ever say I approved of everything he's done. However, he was handed the worst situation since FDR took over from another Republican who had run our nation into the ground. Do you see a pattern here???
The health care plan is a compromise at best. But still far better than nothing and will provide health care for tens of millions who up until now, have gone without it. Now, I don't expect you folks on the Right to care about them, you'd just as soon see them die in the gutter. I've seen you "Compassionate Conservatives" at work and I remain unimpressed. Your date of 2024 is fiction. Most of the plan goes into operation in 2014 and even now, parents can keep their kids of their insurance up until the age of 26. Do you know how many families benefit from this???
I would have much preferred to see a true, single payer, socialized plan like virutally every European country has had for decades but then, that would be Communism, wouldn't it??? It could have been a one page bill, true government run healthcare but that's too much to hope for at this time.
Maybe what happened does not know what happens, Congress writes the bills (actually the lobbyists) not the president, the president can't pass a law or a budget, you know it has something to do with that Constitution thing. You know the document republicans love, even though they evidently don't know what it says.
Ozzie Boy
Are you a fool. I didn't support Bush policies and when Obama knifed me in the back by implementing Bush economic policies I stopped supporting him.
I'm hoping the Democratic party will come up with a real leader to challenge Obama in a primary. If they were smart, that's exactly what they would do.
I'm not stupid enough to give Obama another four years. For Christ sake, the American people gave him the power with democratic control off congress for two years to change things and the only changes he made was to make everything worse.
You are aware that the Health insurance companies that Obama has turned this Country's health care system over to have raised their rates three times this year. That's on top of the raises they implemented when Obamacare became law. Do you really think Obamacare is going to provide health care to anyone in 13 more years? When the time comes, they are going to take the money and run leaving the American people high and dry without any healthcare what so ever..
Ozzie Boy
You really don't know anything about Obama, do you. #1. YOU start paying for Obamacare in 2014 but don't receive the majority of benefits until 2024. YOU would know this if you listened to Obama speak. Right after Obamcare passed and his approval rating started dropping he came out and said over and over that it wasn't far that people would start paying for it in 2014 but couldn't start receiving benefits until 2024.
He asked Congress to change that and his democratic congress made changes that allowed children to stay on their parents health care policies until they were 26.
So what was the result of of this action. The Health insurance companies raised the rates to those policy holders that added their adult children on their policies. So one of two thing happened because the rate increase were so great that the policy holders either dropped they policy or their standard of livening was affected.
By the way you forgot to mention this little fact from the White House. When Obamacare kicks in at least 33 million Americans will be excluded from receiving any type of health care as a result of Obamcare.
One other real reason that the insurance companies had to raise their prices is that Obamacare mandated that 80% of their revenue had to go toward paying claims. Do you know many businesses that can make a profit and cover their SG&A costs with 20%?
Tell us Gov Christie, isn't it a conflict of interest when you send your children to private school and de-fund publuic education in NJ? ANSWER THE QUESTION SIR!!! And please don't answer like an arrogant, smart-mouthed bully. Your addolescent style is wearing real thin and has no place in civilized debate. Don't want to be civilized, then just come out and say it. And stop using your "position" to justify being the jerk you appear to be. Rough and tough and full of yourself; that's what Chris Christie is all about. You're not a man; you're a thug and a punk - just like those you disdain. Get a life, and get a real job.
yankee17
Apparently you don't know anything about the JN public school system or you would know why anyone who can afford it or can borrow the money, sends their kids to private schools to get a education they can't get in the NJ public schools.
No Yanker, a conflict of interest is obama claiming he is going to do something positive in the way of promoting jobs (or in the words of a narcissist creating jobs) but, he would rather have GE fund his campaign so he will do nothing about GE sending all of their manufacturing out of the US and send the jobs to mexico, india and china. He will also allow them to make tens of Billions of profit without paying taxes on it. He is worried about Americans making $200K a year that only pay on an average 40% in taxes but, his administration turns a blind eye on GE. Now that's a conflict of interest when he claims he is creating jobs!
WHAT; Actually I know a great deal about NJ school system cause I grew up there. I went to school with lots and lots of rich kids who could have gone to any private school of their choosing but their parents opted for them to attend public school because we had an excellent school system.
Christie is a rude, nasty boor who feels compelled to insult people, that may work as a Governor but it sure won't cut it on the national stage.
Ozzie
What century was that in because it hasn't been the case in the past 50 years. I live their too and I was exposed to all crap that hit the airways about the NJ public school system. It was really sad as the teacher union also flooded the air ways with advertising patting themselves on the back for a job well done when test scores were showing that NJ students were below the National average in math, English and sciences.
When your at rock bottom, the only place to go is up. So maybe they improved, but I still wouldn't send my kids to a NJ public school.
You're right there. It isn't working out for the President too well is it. His approval rating keeps dropping and dropping. His class war isn't working so now he's trying to start a race war. Now that the kind of man we need in the White house.
I can only imagine what might happen if Christie, as president, meets with foreign heads of state. Will he use his rude bully boy thuggish rhetoric/actions with them as he does with his constituents? I cannot believe that it will play well on the world stage. Our president not only leads our country, he/she is our representative in world politics. The only TPGOP candidate I see that could represent us with any possible diplomacy is Huntsman, and he will not get the nomination. Too bad! In addition to how the president leads the country, people need to think about how we want to be represented in the world. If we want the world to see "American Exceptionalism" our leaders need to truly reflect that in policies and behaviour--both at home and abroad.
"We have met the enemy and he is us!" Pogo by Walt Kelly
I just love reading how much these friggin leftist dimwits get so worked up about Christie. You better stop all the attention for Christie because obama is losing sleep in a big way, he is not going to be able to continue his not-stop four years of campaigning. It is really taking a toll on him, he is worried, michelle is upset, axelrod is beside himself, Geithner may even pay some of his taxes just to help obama, obama is considering sending his uncle to Canada just to take that light off him, there are even some of the wealthiest elitist willing to ban together and hire two or three of the unemployed just so obama can take the credit for creating (3) real jobs so you can see just how major this Christie thing is effecting him!!! Help him out, take your little minds off Christie and re-focus on your messiah!!
HEY ROC: How about you have Christie sit on your face. Bet you'd like that, huh fella???
Nah, I'm just fine with you sucking my Tea Bags..........
ROC: Somehow I find that more than a little believable.
Yea Boy, I'm sure you dream of blowing omamba your messiah. People like you are just plain pathetic. You would vote for an axe murderer if that meant continuation of getting something for nothing. It is something I just can't understand, welfare, union brainwashing, government so-called employees, they care nothing about this country, only about their suckling existence. Destroy a nation so some can feed off others, liberalism is frankly a disease.
All this conjecturing overshadows the simple event. If there was any positive impact for Bobby Jindal it was destroyed by one egotistcal remark. Who the (*^&*(^(^ cares if this jerk comes back to Louisiana with a NJ attitude. What an idiot! I hope he was misquoted or the journalist (and I use that term loosely) took a remark made in jest and potrayed it so as to be out of line. Gee, what are the chances of that? Why does something so inert get such attention instead of being dismissed as the cr@p that it is?
These f--n medias, all they do is keep asking the same damded questions, he aint running, go ask Oblama about the fast and furious cover up, get on his ass since he staqnding in the way of transparency since his ass is in so deep in corruption!!
Rich that's not fair. Just because Obama has had more secret meetings behind closed doors than Nixon, doesn't mean that something shady is going on. It only means we will never know what kinds of deals are getting made for Obama's benefit.
But we do have an idea what goes on behind Obama's closed door meetings. Like we know that Obama promised one congressman that the federal government would cover the medical expenses for the entire population of that congressman's State in exchange for one yes vote on Obamacare.
I thought that rather generous of Obama considering he was knifing the rest of the country's population in the back. Now one has to wonder what other deals were struck and we know that Obama had many closed door meeting with congressman and soon after all those meeting, Obamacare passed.
That's transparent government if there ever was one; just like Obama promised in his first campaign.
Fast and furious was a program started under bush in 2006 by the republicans that Obama continued. Who knew you weren't for republican ideals?
I've got to admit that you Obama supporters have a winner there. Obama's a jack of all trades and a master of none.
He's a democrat that implemented Republican policies when he had democratic control of both houses of Congress. He's white and he's black depending which audience he is standing in front of. He's rich and he's poor. He's a Christian and he's a Muslim. Your guy is everything to everybody and he lets you know it too ervery change he gets.
The only problem I can see is, he isn't a leader.
when you say jindal, don't you mean piyush? this is the guy that refuses to use his real first name. instead, he uses a nickname picked up from the brady bunch. wow! I wonder if the documents he signs are truly legal?
why is he so ashamed of his real name? one wonders.
and yet there is still no drum beat for perry to explain why he allowed an innocent man to die? where is the press on this story about todd willingham? all because of politics, he refused to not only pardon him but to even block the execution! what a guy of integrity.
and, where is the outrage over an auditorium full of repubs booing an American soldier regardless of being gay or not. even more wrong not one of the candidates stood against this behavior. shame, shame, shame!
I guess there's one positive prospect about Christie going for the presidency: it's that our Windbag-in-Chief will be out of our fair state---a lot. Hope his politics-as-WWE-smackdown plays well nationally. The only downside for us New Jerseyites will be that the only marginally less obnoxious Kim Guadagno will be in charge.
what happened, I'm with you on that. I think we need a primary challenge too. It won't happen of course.I gave up on him when he sold us out too. The crying shame is the potential was there for him to be another kennedy or fdr. instead of bailing out bank of America ,btw they're gonna start charging debit card fees even though we saved their ass, and iga, and the other multinational corps. he could have sent that money to middle class families to spend. You've paid your taxes all your life it's time for the fed. to give back, here's a 17,000 stimulus check now go spend so we can put people back to work.the middle class have no money to spend that's the whole problem. we're living check to check with nothing left over! no money for even medical bills.
only consolation is, it's about to come crashing down on the rich bastards too. when the middle class can't buy gas, or electronics, or even food, the big boys will crash too. all because of short sighted enron like tactics of any thing for a buck.
Typical MSN (mainstream media). He's not "mum" about his running. He has clearly stated, by his own admission, that he is not running. Why not cover something more meaningful like the Wall Street sit-in protest, or do the corporate masters say no?
Evening. This is Chris Crispy Kreame telling you folk that Bobby Jindal is a winner and so am i. I know I can win the office of president and for the final time. I hear you, but I love food. I love to eat. I do. I put food ahead of everything. I've done it all my life. I can't run with my 11 year old son, how do you thkin I can run for President?
I have a plan, an idea if you will. I can't take credit for this idea, but it makes sense. You all have heard that I met and had a meal with George Bush; and another meal with Kenry Kissinger; and finally desert with Nancy Reagan. While Nancy and I were sitting there "high" on the sugar from the chocolate cake, laughing about the good old days when Ronnie ruined the air traffic controllers, Nancy blurted out, "why don you tie your nuts, Chris?" I was taken aback and I asked her what she said and to my surprise, she repeated it, "why don't you tie your nuts Chris," she said. Not wanting to laugh, I let her explain. She told me that I needed to lose weight or that healthy facet of the American peopl would never elect me. They'd be too busy laughing at me, calling me "boss hog." But if I tied my nuts with a rope and yanked it everytime I thought of food, my mind would associate food with pain. After a thousand yankings or so, I would be cured of my food addition and would lose weight. I'm sold. Right after I finish this chocolate cake my wife made for me, I'm getting out my rope and tying my nuts. Stay tune. I'm planning an announcement real soon. I may not be able to walk, but .
Yawnyae, if you replace the food with booze or forced sex, you could be talking about the Kennedy clan.
Lliberals, I got some good news and some bad news.... The good news is that the Obumbles gooberment just sent 753 million taxpayer dollars to another one of those "solid" solar companies. They had to send it today or the company would lose the money. The bad news is that a relative of Mancy Peloser is a major investor of this swiss cheese company. More good news for liberals is that 500 jobs were created as the Department of Injustice had to hire 500 new investigators for all of the current scandals going on in the Obumbles regime. One and done. Cannot believe Hillary does not run and biotch slap him. She won't though for fear of Barry coming up with a couple more of those 3 word slogans and she ends up getting thrown under the bus again. Hey liberals, more Hopey and Changey for 2012???? Have fun liberals...LOL
Did you actually laugh at the people around you or are you just writing it for effect? Are they also laughing because you are?
Run, Chris Christie, run!
No, wait.
Waddle, Chris Christie, waddle.
There was a time when we had Ronald Regan, Johnny Cash and Bob Hope... Now we have Obama, no Cash and no Hope.
Real proud of yourself with that intelligent political statement?
Christie is to fat to be president. He's a walking heart attack. Plus, that joke is WAY old. Like a year or better old.
Obama is too narcissistic to be president, but unfortunately he is.
To the extent that people are pathologically narcissistic, they can be controlling, blaming, self-absorbed, intolerant of others’ views, unaware of others' needs and of the effects of their behavior on others, and insistent that others see them as they wish to be seen.
willing, thats your opinion, and you arent credible at ALL with your name you have there. Think a little bit before you do things moron.
