I live in New Jersey, where Mr. Christie is governor. I went to high school in Maryland when Spiro Agnew was governor. They have a lot in common, frankly, but I'm sorry to say that in a one-on-one comparison, Agnew comes off better. I thought Agnew was not good as governor and terrible as vice president, and even so he's better than Chris Christie. That's how far our politics—and especially the Republican party—have sunk. God help us!
The republicans can't fielded a good nominee and now their looking to fat and lazy Christie who is nothing more than a fat lazy politician who watches and comes up with comments about everything but really nothing. I learned along time ago fat people are not workers just consumers who eat like pigs and work like people on welfare. Christie is a governor over a state that taxes are out of control and no end in site. Another republican who is not sure where he is going and has no idea where he has been or how to get any where except the pay check and pay from private companies who will feed his hog pen.
Wow. Obesity is rampant in this country. People from all races, religions, political parties, etc etc etc are over weight or obese. The biggest difference is those that are conservative probably look in the mirror and are saddened by what they've done to themselves, liberals claim it's Bush's fault.
Christie should run. It's the American way. Let him run if he wants to. The best thing for the Re-Tea-publicans is to pack the field and keep their idiot followers in a perpetual state of confusion which isn't a ver difficult thing to do.
Let him run, as far as the Re-Tea-publicans go, it won't make any difference. Obama is getting relected by a landslide because there's plenty of time for his numbers to turn around and all of the Re-Tea-publican schemes and scams to "fix" the elections around the country will have been toppled.
Obama's re-election is a no-brainer. The country doesn't want what the Re-Tea-publicans are slinging!
All the "fat" jokes coming from the people that pretend to be more "sensitive to others" is pretty ironic. Us conservatives can be grateful that the majority in this country see how liberals and liberalism are doing more harm than good, particularly to the poor and minorities!!
I was not aware that Christie was asthmatic. but, as a long-time hospital tech, I would question his health and stamina. The presidency is the most tiring and stressful job there is. Being governor of a state is nothing compared to it. I also question whether Christie can solve the party`s problems.
I doubt the opinions represented on this site are representative of the opinions of the majority of Americans. At this point, virtually anyone could beat Obama, and Chris Christie is probably one of the better qualified. If we want America to look like Detroit then just keep electing Democrats. It took them decades to destroy Detroit but it won't take that long for their mismagement to destroy America. I don't see very many Republicans qualified to lead this country, with the exceptions of Herman Cain and Chris Christie. Remember, we will get the government we deserve so do your research on the backgrounds of candidates you are thinking about voting for, and don't rely on the press for all of your information on a specific candidate as they have all shown themselves to be biased. It is up to you to straighten out the mess we find outselves in, and the only way that happens is to have qualified candidates running and winning elections. Frankly, if I thought there was a better qualified Democrat running, I'd vote for him even though I lean Republican, and that should be the standard we all use to elect candidates now, and in the future.
All the democrats have to do is keep running the tape of Christie where he says he's not ready to be President. Just keep playing it over and over.... Did you neocons know that Wall Street has downgraded New Jersey's credit three times this year? Couldn't pay full pension payments, among other things. Only California and Illinois have lower ratings than NJ. What a governor.
I think I'll print out this entire blog and give it to every fat Democrat I know. It should do well enough for having the same affect as your best friend calling you fat behind your back.
Or are all of you just lashing out in desperation knowing the Democrat Party is going to take twice the beating in '12 as it did in '10? My condolences.
No, absolutely not. I live in New Jersey and I don't want to lose him as our governor. He has had the guts to stop the craziness in this state and he is not finished. There is lots more to do. We need him to finish what he started.
Wow, some of the comments here, especially by the "enlightened" ones are pretty disgusting, and I would say they are borderline bullying, especially when you are calling Christie fat. Lady Gaga would disapprove, wouldn't she? How come you all aren't insisting that Obama quit smoking?
Christy doesn't appear to be in great health. I think that he would have difficulty keeping up with fellow candidates in the primary let alone keep up the pace required of the President of the United States.
As usual, concerning any GOP candidate, the libs can only make it personal, never about issues. I guess it is bitterness from knowing their moron can't run on his record.
