All eyes are on the GOP hopefuls who are taking the stage tonight in Florida at a debate sponsored by FOX News and Google.

The NBC political team will be live-tweeting the debate, offering minute-by-minute updates and analysis.

Tweets from Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, and other NBC producers and correspondents will appear in this post as the debate begins at 9 p.m. EDT.

If I was going to tweet it would be Obama/Biden 2012.

You know, I do the social networking via Facebook, have a e-mail account, blog on multiple websites... BUT... I'm still convinced tweets are for twits...

I do not require instant gratification....

10 minutes into it. It isn't a debate at all. It is a find info and give 9 people a chance to bash our President event sponsored by Fox and Google. Is this what Google signed up for? Just curious. What a waste of time!

So Cain gets a big hand? Didn't First Read last weekend have an article up about Cain calling illegal immigrants "dogs". These GOP supporters are truly sick people.

Is anyone going to explain the real reason we're in trouble? Wall Street. Iraq. Afghanistan.

It is the cowards who blame President Obama. We all know the rich got us into this mess.

Wall Street

Iraq

Afghanistan

These are the same people against regulations. Against having their taxes raised.

How do we move ahead if they won't help fix the mess they created?

THEY caused it.

Rick Scott? The guy in Florida who stole millions of dollars?

These so-called businessmen are all alike. And they stick together. They have zero morals, zero integrity.

Rick Scott. You've got to be kidding me.

Newt has a new Contract with America coming out next week. What happened to his last one? Can't wait Newt. Really. Can't wait.

Doesn't he ever come up with anything different? He must be longing for his glory days, when he got thrown out of the Speaker's chair.

Seriously, it's the same song and dance with him, decade after decade.

Hard to imagine he was a ladies' man at one time. Ewwww.

So Romney has to apologize for giving someone credit for doing a good job?

Typical businessman. They credit no one for anything, except themselves. That's their MO.

Never used to be that way. There was a time when we valued competence.

Not any longer.

Beverly, exactly. Crooks & Liars, who caused this mess. Paul wants the Federal Government out of educating our kids? Are you kidding me?

It's in the Constitution.

Uh oh. There's the "s" word. "Soft" on immigration. tsk tsk.

You can't be seen as "soft" on anything in the GOP. That's the party of wars, guns, death penalty. Macho macho.

You cannot have a soft spot for children, whether it be their healthcare, education, affordable housing.

It just isn't done.

Gotta go easy on the old man. He lost it long ago.

Notice; Gov. Killer-in-Chief, Perry had to talk about boots on the ground for illegals. He just had to plug that Texas thing subtlety.

Is Romney aware that 60% of Israeli's want peace with the Palestinians? Is he aware of the Israeli's and Palestinians marching together for peace of late? Is he aware that the Israeli's are in step with President Obama over Netanyahu?

Is he aware that Netanyahu stood shoulder to shoulder with the president yesterday and praised him?

Romney doesn't know anything about foreign policy. He was DEAD WRONG on Iraq. President Obama's message has reached the Arab World. The people there are tired of the tyrants.

And they love our president.

An American Tragedy

How do you "police" a morning after pill?!?

These people (men) are sick.

No morning after pill. No good public education. No good health care. No good jobs. No good regulations to protect us. No unions so that we can make a decent wage and contribute to our economy. No anything for children of illegal immigrants, especially an education. Children mind you. Children.

Sick mean SOBS. Every one of them.

btw, the new health care reform bill has just put one million kids on their parents' health care policies.

No one here will defend that. Can you imagine? A safety net for our children's health and well being, and they can't defend it as a good American system.

Have they any decency at all?

So Romney is going for the "kitchen table" angle. Which kitchen table is he talking about? The one in MA, the one in NH, the one in CA?

If there is one thing I hope, it's that the media doesn't let Romney get away with this new "middle class" crap he suddenly is aligning himself with. He's worth about $250 million for goodness sakes.

He hasn't a clue about the working class, the middle class or the poor. You can tell just by looking at him. Diversity is not his thing. He's always surrounded by white rich older men, just like himself.

He's an empty suit who invested money. Period. He gave a no confidence vote to the auto workers, yet thought Iraq was a good idea. Loss of jobs and loss of lives. This is what he believed in. This is not a smart man.

He's a businessman. And we all know businessmen hate the working and middle class.

They won't hire us. To those that do work, they won't give us raises. They won't invest in our country. That's who he is. That's who he belongs to. The very rich.

Who don't care about children, unless they have lots and lots of money for healthcare and education.

How times have changed.

Businessmen. Profit first and foremost, even when it comes to education and health. Of children.

Just turned on the debate Cain talking about the 999 plan. Crazy!

I believe Cain thinks he can run the government like a pizzeria.

How about that crazy-eyed Michelle Batwoman saying don't pay any taxes?

Do these idiots know the government must collect some revenue?

what's priceless is that almost all of these anti big government haters actually feed at the public trough with the best health plans our money can buy. After last word, I had to write in. why does o'donnell(sorry fiesty one I know he's your fav.) rail against the death penalty BUT fail to mention the 100% case of perry allowing an innocent man to die. Cameron Todd Willingham was put to death in Texas for a fire that killed his three little angel daughters. Before the execution, certifiable proof was delivered that the fire was accidental. But such as in Texas, the truth doesn't stand a chance up against politics. After the fire board delivered this evidence, perry disbanded it so no follow up investigation could be conducted. these are the facts. how can any repub. gloss over this and pull the lever for perry? this is just a matter of human conscience. how can you allow someone that could remotely be innocent to pay the ultimate penalty without being 100% sure. And yea no jo or brianb I am pro death penalty when warranted. BUT your guy allowed an INNOCENT man to die. facts are not even in dispute.

my only consolation is knowing that once perry has the nomination, he will be the weakest candidate, obama, if he chooses to, will be able to pick perry apart. he was campaigning while Texas was burning, and yea we are still in a drought worse than the dust bowl. At least the fires are dying out. oh man, what a laugh, chuck todd just had a commercial about tough questions. hey chuck, ask perry about cameron todd willingham will ya?

BTW, the first responders said that willingham was beside himself during the fire. he fought them trying to get back in the house screaming about his babies. he even punched a fireman in the eye. he begged them to let him run back in and had to physically restrained by TWO men.

once again, these are facts. if you care enough, you can check it out. knowing this story is out there, should have caused perry to resign in shame and beg forgiveness from Jesus, but not good old rick.

lisa, even I would not give fox the satisfaction of watching the debate, I am voting for huntsman in the Texas republican primary.he at least makes sense.
