Wake up on both sides of the "Isle". This speech was to do nothing more than blame. HE still HAS NOT DISPLAYED HIS PLAN!!!!!! He now states "everything will be reveled in 2 weeks". Tim- I watched the President's speech TWICE last night AND took notes, mddr is spot on.
All across this nation - via 'We the people......', and the media, have been yelling for the President to be PRESIDENTIAL !
He does this with a speach filled with proposals to get this country headed in the right direction ---- this speech a defining moment in his presidency.....................
Now, the MEDIA instead of getting on board, and pushing this UNIFIED agenda, is now scratching for the fodder of the 'Right Wing Teabagger American Taliban Fundamentalists' to see what they can stir up to make 'ALL NOT WORK'!
The media should REPORT and not EDITORIALIZE...................
True fact, when did we elected these so-called experts in Washington, they act like they are physics and can see all the wrong this Man is doing. Did you notice, that all the jobs "just happened to be union" jobs!! The people he depends on to vote for him along with all those on welfare.

It was interesting how Obama recognized Lincoln's great accomplishments as a Republican President but didn't mention that it was Lincoln a Republican that freed his people.
Call me cynical but I guessing the omission was due to the fact that it contradicts the argument that all republicans are racist.
Ok, I'll call you cynical. Exactly how or where would Obama have put in that fact without it seeming totally random. Obama has never tried to force the reace issue and doing it during a speech on jobs would have been assinine!
Because in Lincoln days the republicans weren't the ones trying to keep slavery, they had different ideas about how to go about building up this country. Somehow along the way, the lines in the sand got muddled or something, we can't tell who is who anymore, maybe we can scrap this party thing and start over, dems act like the old repuds and they act like .......

Give us some data, details and specifics on the economy that speak to this wonderful job by Obama.
Wow, over on a more creditable website over 46,000 voters gave Obama a big huge thumbs down, and only 350 gave him a thumbs up, here 2000+ give him an "A"...and 1200+ gives him an "F".. It is quite obvious that Obama as usual failed in his speech. His plan as usual was a huge "dud" and when put under a microscope shows that Obama is only really supporting Union jobs which has been received bascially with total silence, and that is a very bad thing...People do not want to join Union's it is plain and simple and here were have a President who is trying to "Force" people to Join a Union in order to get a job...How shameful of him...what a jerk...
So again we find the corruption of Union's within our Political system and our Politicians. More evidence is Obama's signing of a Union Only decree on public works projects paid for by the Government in the Rose Garden shortly after he was sworn in.
Now if this doesn't show a true bias by a President I can't think of any more perfect example. I wonder if it enough to impeach him since the President is supposed to represent ALL THE PEOPLE of the United States not a corrupt few....
It is obvious that the President is owned and operated by the Unions who are the primary source of why so many Companies have left the United States and took their jobs overseas..and here the President is supporting that very same thing.. The majority of raw materials needed to be purchased, as in Concrete and Steel that will be needed to rebuild the infrastructure, which the States have neglected and allowed to deteriorate over time will come from overseas, mainly China...So all you Walmart blasters out there should be blasting your Commander in Chief, Obama, for he wants to send billions of more dollars overseas to China!!
So it becomes obvious to me that the posters or voters on this site do not support America but China and also support basically a Communist developed anti-capitalist group called Unions which have already caused major financial devastation and a major loss of jobs around the Country.
And here we have a President advocating or forcing the people join a Union in order to get a job as well as enslaving the unemployed to the Government....

The prez actually seemed presidential. As we all know though, this was indeed a campaign spout and full of the same ol'-same ol'. At least 30% of the public believe he's really able to pull it through to passage. Many of the folks that graded this speech as an "A", must work in the administration. What this government needs to do is get out of the way of businesses that want to hire but that are afraid of this administration will do in a couple of years to "back-off" the business stimulus that Bush and other previous admins put into place.
People Get rid of the current House and Senate and get some business people in to run this country. We do not need more politicians.

This nation had a recession in the early 70s, the early 80s, the early 90s and the early 200s. Now we are having one in the early 2010s.
If you look at how we got out of these past recessions you will see that increased spending has worked. That is what Reagan did to get us out of our huge recession in the early 1980s. So if it worked for Reagan, then why wouldnt it work of Obama?
More political posturing by a one termer. I like the fact that this needs to be passed immediately and then we'll be told in a few weeks how it will be funded. People, wake up! You can't spend your way to prosperity. How did we go from a great leader in Reagan to this inept clown in just a few decades?
