More 2012: Brown talks entitlements

FLORIDA: “Former Sen. George LeMieux (R-Fla.), running to get his old job back in 2012, picked up the endorsement of Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R),” Roll Call reports.

MASSACHUSETTS: “US Senator Scott Brown today warned seniors worried about Medicare and Social Security cuts that their benefits could be slashed because ‘we’re in a financial emergency right now,’” the Boston Globe reports. “‘We have some very, very real challenges,’ the Massachusetts Republican told about 100 Russian and Chinese seniors gathered in an auditorium at Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly in Brighton. ‘If anybody’s telling you that ‘Everything’s OK, and don’t worry about it, and you’re going to get all your benefits, and everything’s fine,’ then they’re not really telling you the truth.’”

NEW HAMPSHIRE: “Businessman Andrew Hosmer announced Monday he’s running for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st district,” Roll Call writes. “He faces former Rep. Carol Shea-Porter and former financial executive Joanne Dowdell in the Democratic primary to take on freshman Rep. Frank Guinta (R).”

OHIO: “In case there was any doubt that Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel is the frontrunner to become the GOP Senate nominee, Sen. Rob Portman said Monday that he is backing Mandel in the race to take on Sen. Sherrod Brown (D),” Roll Call writes.

It's funny, Scott Brown (R) isn't gatheing the CEOs of the most profitable companies in the country and telling them times are tough and they need to pay more in taxes, is he? Why do seniors have to make sacrifices but oil companies don't? It's a puzzlement.

Very puzzling indeed. Apparently the Oil Companies and the rest of Corporate America can afford lawyers and lobbyists while our seniors eh not so much.

Let's see - The federal government owes the Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid funds billions of dollars and left IOU's in place. The TEA party have placed the Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid funds in their sights to do away with. The volatility of the market is as skittish as ever when heads should be cooler. S&P downgraded the US debt risk so president Obama talked to the FED and they sent their own message which may have helped stabilized the market. TEA/GOP Yahoos should raise their heads out of the FOX-hole and see the real world. Now we have Brown talking to seniors in a Jewish community center about...What? Be wary of wolves in sheep's clothing. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are benefits earned not some kind of charity, they earned every entitlement. Congressional benefits after 1 term = free health care, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, 3 weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days -now THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE LIBERAL WELFARE! And Congress has the nerve to call these benefits and Military retirement an Entitlement? What in Hades are they thinking? I say we send Congress downrange and troll for lead so they can earn their WELFARE. If you are sick of Congressional crap, and ashamed of our supposed "leaders", do something about it! What really is disgraceful id the open warfare on president Obama since he won the presidency. This open warfare smacks of bigotry and racism from all sectors of the TEA/GOP parties. Their "Scorched Earth" tactics screams of brutal disregard for the office he won. The recent "Debt Ceiling" became a "Debt Crisis" with the barrage of criticism from the extreme right with no real suggestions except shutting down spending. The total disregard for raising revenues in any form was never to be allowed to protect the ultra wealthy and their many deductions and low tax rates. The constant drumbeat from the radical right has out-FOXed the Democratic base. The Democratic base has raised their heads out of the FOX-hole and have started slinging back in the way the TEA party extremes did in 2010. There will be continued warfare between these factions until one wins decidedly in 2012. Hold onto your earpieces as the rhetoric will grow louder!

By learning from "Penny Health" When it comes to medical insurance, never use the words "experimental" or "investigational" or tell them that you want them to pay for a clinical trial.
