Monahan states that Bachmann's migraines are under control and infrequent, adding that she does not take daily medication.
Dear Congresswoman Bachmann:
The enclosed summary regarding your experience of migraines is provided to you as per your request. You are in overall good general health.
You have a well established diagnosis of migraines with aura for which you have had extensive evaluation by both my office and a consulting neurologist. Your evaluation has entailed detailed lab work and brain scans all of which were normal. Your migraines occur infrequently and have known trigger factors of which you are aware and know how to avoid. When you do have a migraine, you are able to control it well with as-needed sumatriptan and odansetron. It has not been necessary for you to take daily medications to manage this condition. You have not needed medical attention from me regarding your migraines with the use of the above mentioned commonly used therapies.

Then why did one of Bachmann's 'thugs' rough up a reporter from ABC yesterday for asking this question?
What fine, upstanding, conservative christians they are!
A simple yes or no would be fine as to whether or not she's ever missed a house vote because of them!

She has a history of freaking out and running away for no reason. From Raw Story:
In 2005, the congresswoman ended a town hall event early and rushed to a nearby public restroom when questions arose about her support for a proposed Minnesota constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. Pamela Arnold, a lesbian, and Nancy Cosgriff, a former nun, followed the Minnesota Republican hoping for some answers.
"Help me! Someone get me out of here!" Bachmann reportedly screamed from the bathroom. "Help! You're holding me against my will!"
"I was amazed and concerned when she erupted in this emotional outburst without provocation... I tried to apologize for any misunderstanding," Cosgriff told the Herald.
"Arnold, who is just over 5 feet tall, was stunned, and hurried to open the door," according to The Daily Beast's Michelle Goldberg. "Bachmann bolted out and fled, crying, to an SUV outside."
Bachmann later told police that she was "absolutely terrified and has never been that terrorized before as she had no idea what those two women were going to do to her."
Declining to prosecute, the Washington County attorney wrote, "It seems clear from the statements given by both women that they simply wanted to discuss certain issues further with Ms. Bachmann."
One more thing, it's nice to know she's taking Karl Rove's campaign advice:

They may be curing the headache problem.
But they mentioned nothing about curing the insanity problem.
Who cares if she has migraines?
The only way I think it would be relevant is if the migraines are a symptom of a larger illness like some sort of psychosis.
She certainly appears crazy to many, many people. It wouldn't surprise me if she suffered from mental illness of one sort or another.

Seems that all went out on disability right before retirement. Now of course that meant they'd get way more money for life. It was hundreds of officers in a short period of time. It cost the state millions in extra, unwarranted beneits.
So you see Jody, it's hard to grant the automatic respect you request. They intentionally gamed the system.

The lady has over 20 kids...she is entitled to have headaches - severe ones!
She has lots of policy-related areas that people can hammer her on, but 'headaches'? "migraines?
She hasn't had any foster children for more than 10 years, and never had more than 3 at a time. They were not little children, but rather teenage girls with eating disorders who were in town to be treated at the U of M. Some were with the family for just a few weeks. Way too long ago to milk for sympathy, especially after she milked it at the time for the per diems, sending her own children to private school while she sent the fosters to public school.
There. That's something other than migraines to "hammer her on."
Oh come on Jody everyone on here disrespects Bachmann because she had a head ache. You seem disapointed she isnt trying to claim some sort of entitlment for it. You do realize 95% of the firemen in Iowa are un paid volenteers "risking it all" for a couple beers at the firemens ball. Spare me the lecture why paid fire fighters are entitled to a life pension at the age of 50. These volenteers will be just as sick of working to 70 to pay for those who retired at 50.......

I dont think its just the migraines ..i think its the pathological lying and the anti American comments about the citizens of the USA ! You come off as a total flake ! America just doesn't trust you ! You may win in your lil base ...they all seem to be weird as you are ....but the rest of America ...NOT SO MUCH .... Maybe she had a headache when she signed the pledge that stated at the top that blacks were more likely to have a two parent home in slavery than since we elected President Obama.
First off, she thinks black people were better off in slavery. I realize that its real intention was to slur President Obama and black people in general.
She signed this pledge to get money and that was all she was thinking about, not what signing this pledge said about her.
The problem she faces in running for President is that her headaches seem to totally disable her when they occur. No lights, no noise, no stress. She has to retreat to her office and be left alone. Unfortunately, there are scenarios she could be facing as President which would not allow her to do this, should a situation be in crisis mode.
Perhaps voters should carefully consider this issue, along with her ill conceived views and statements.
I am in the same predicament as her... I get my migraines whenever I watch the liberal media... I realize that I too can make them controlled and infrequent by turning off the T.V.!

Job1 stop watching Fox and the head ache will die down it works for me. Now I do wish the best for Ms Bachmanns migraines I do no wish illness nor suffering on anyone. Not even when their politics make me sick.
Instead of worrying about Bachmann's headaches, we should be questioning her theology. She believes in the Rapture and I would like to know what would happen to American governance should she be raptured during her presidency - if she were elected!!! Fundamentalist Freaks like her believe this stuff - time to start questioning her about her Rapture contingencies!!!
If she has migraines with any frequency it would seem to me that any reasonable sane person would eliminate themselves from the race. I had migraines that were so bad I had to be hospitalized and caused bouts of blindness to be frank if they had continued I seriously considered taking myself out The pain involved with these headaches would drive any person to put a bullet in their own head. Thankfully I have not had any more in about 6yrs and the diagnosis of intra-cranial hypertension (extremely high spinal fluid pressure) was made.
