Subscribe to RSSAfter a campaign rally in South Carolina today, Michele Bachmann responded to a Daily Caller report alleging the congresswoman has migraines that leave her "incapacitated."
"Like nearly 30 million other Americans, I experience migraines that are easily controllable with medication," Bachmann said.

The article quoted a former aide of Bachmann questioning her ability to "withstand the most difficult challenges facing America" during "crisis management mode." But Bachmann said that the migraines will not affect her campaign for the White House or her job performance if she is elected.
"I'd like to be abundantly clear: My ability to function effectively will not affect my ability to serve as commander-in-chief," Bachmann said. "Since entering this campaign for the presidency, I have maintained a full schedule between my duties as a congresswoman and as a presidential candidate traveling across the nation to meet with voters."
Bachmann turned the attention from the condition that affects "individuals in nearly one in four American households" to the economic challenges facing the country.
"While I appreciate the concern for myself and for my health, the greater concern should be the debate that is occurring today in Washington, D.C. over whether or not we will increase our debt, spending, and taxes," Bachmann said.

I think her people might be fudging the truth a little - there are a few more details in some of the UK papers - like visits to the ER at er...inopportune times - I would not wish these on my worst enemy, but I think that she is lying about the "easily controlled" part and what effect does the medication have...bad time to have them would be....oh....anytime when you are the POTUS
I have known several people including a husband who had migraines. I never met one that could control them. Stress is what I noticed that brought on the most severe ones. Good thing that being the president is not a stressful job.
Migraines have a mind of their own and will pop up at the most inopportune time. Sounds like presidential material to me.

What if one of her Crazy policies eleminates her Meds. How would that be...........
Her crazy policies won't eliminate HER meds, but they will affect many who suffer like her to be able to AFFORD effective migraine drugs. Without insurance a run of 9 (and that's all the insurance people let you have in a month) costs around 300 bucks.
Sometimes you have to take TWO of those precious 9 to get relief from ONE migraine. That's a car payment for many people. For those who argue that Obamacare would limit choice and ration care, YOUR PRIVATE INSURANCE DOES THAT TO YOU ALREADY.
Migraines are MISERABLE. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy and I have suffered with them for years. I do find that stress only makes them worse and more frequent. I have taken a medical leave more than once to break the cycle of pain they cause.
BACHMAN IS A MIGRAINE.... She's just what this country doesn't need--a Sarah Palin clone....

Be nice and make a joke about her, it will make you feel better than being nasty. I know, she invokes the same feelings in me. Yours probably wasn't even the worse just the last.
The conservatives love to see us angry and hate it when we make jokes.

Easily controlled with drugs, now we know why 99.9999 % of the time she sounds out of it.
The migrains are a psychosomoatic symptrom of great stress and underlying psychological disorders. She has refused to take responsiblity for the deficits of 2 wars and one huge entitlement program that was misreprested right from the start.
It is this refusal to take responsiblity that bothers her and causes the migranes. The outbusts of no taxes flow from this-because it would be an admission of failure to have to pay for mythological weapons of mass destruction-and an entitlemnt that passed by one vote in the US House..
It is the cross pressure of the morals that bills ought be paid that drive her towards a neverous breakdown in the days ahead.

Anyone who aspires to be the Commander in Chief must be held to a higher standard of honesty about their health. If Ms. Bachmann is taking medication on a regular basis, then she needs to inform the voters of what the medication is, and how much and how often she takes it. We are talking about the person responsible for OUR safety, the safety of America, and the safety of the free world. Her normal right of privacy concerning personal medical issues is invalid.
I am more concerned about her choice of Commander and Chief comment. Does she realize that that is just a portion of the Job as President?
