And to think- all they got is "YOUR guy SUCKS", and I bet none will offer what THEY will do, and HOW it will work. Any bets?

Hey Spanky and JAS1- suppose they will talk about JOBS- or aren't jobs as important as they were back in November last, when all the big-talk was being tossed around??

(ans say- it's great to be back- sorry I had to go silent on you on the other thread. Had to go fraudulently bill a client so I could spend more time on here with y'all, posting opinions )

Actually, this could be a great drinking game event. Throw back a shot every time someone says "tax cuts." Throw one back for "Obamacare." Well...you get the idea.

Allow me to quote the brilliant and talented Feisty:

"You've lost the argument when you can't comment on the substance and instead resort to her looks. LMAO."

#1.17 Sun June 12, 2011 11:30 EDT.

Now Feisty can you not remember what you said just yesterday?

And Drive By - you of course mean fraudulently bill one of your boss' clients, right big guy. You don't actually have any clients, cause you work for some one else.

Poor Drive By, still fighting the MAN. But hey, glad to have you back big guy. Quick say something funny.

Drive by,

Way way too early to talk specifics. Just generalities for now. The specifics and the TV ads will all come at the appropriate times. Kind of like poker, you don't show your hand too soon.

In for the cash. And that's all it is. Cape and tights, eh? Apparently, not so much caper and "super-hero @!$%#" as just "getting Mine."

Oh, Spanky. Will you lay off, for pity's sake? Actually, I believe the quote was something more like: "I came on strong. Large. Cape and tights." What about that could possibly be misinterpreted?

Sheesh.

Do we really want to talk about lying and cheating? If we do how about Edwards. I know democrats do not stand for personal responsibility and morals. That's why they can shrug off lying and cheating. However cheating on a dying wife with cancer takes it a little too far. Hey Clinton set the stage and the dogs just followed.

I wonder if the 8th dwarf - Pushy will barge in. I would laugh till I cried if Bachmann's voice was suddenly drowned out by the blaring air horns on Palin's "Rolling Blunder Tour" bus.

You must mean Newt who cheated on his sick wife with his now 4th or 7th wife, or Vitter who still resides in congress with his diaper and prostitute scandal or John Ensign who was hiking while porking his mistress or Larry Craig who tried to pick up an undercover cop in a men's room. Family values folks huh! Both sides do a pretty good job of lewd behavior.

      t.marino,

You could go back further and include Barney Frank and lest I say Bill Clinton, but that would tarnish your image of a perfect Democrat...

        #1.24 - Tue Jun 14, 2011 1:13 AM EDT

Before the debate took place, I predicted it would consist of attacks against President Obama rather than debating a Republican platform and their positions and solutions. To that point:

Bachmann…got a huge round of applause when she flatly predicted that Obama would be a one-term president.

Abortion is about the only thing in the GOP/TP platform they seemed to compete on. Except this:

On trade accords with other nations, Pawlenty said “I’m for fair and open trade, but I’m not for being stupid and I’m not for being a chump.”

He offered a blistering critique of what he called “crony capitalism,” the alliance of the federal government and favored industries or companies.

Crony capitalism cannot be ended until there is campaign finance reform. Did John King ask Pawlenty a follow-up question on this? No. And last but not least:

Romney vowed to undo Obama’s health care overhaul and to allow the states to experiment with their own reforms. “Ours was a state plan, a state solution and if people don’t like it in our state, they can change it…. States are right place for this type of responsibility,” he said.

Now this is hogwash. A problem with the current health care system is the lack of competition among insurance companies, in large part because competition is only within a state rather than nationwide.

Gingrich fails by endorsing Ryan’s Medicare plan and still trying to distance himself. As for Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, puleeze -- Gary Johnson is more interesting.

        Carry on mosquitoes, carry on…

True Patriot: It is most certainly not hogwash. I believe both Ron Paul and Mitt Romney would agree. Health care reform should be handled at the state level. Your assumption that there is no competition is just silly. Especially when you consider that states have every right to create insurance trades between them.

Most importantly though, running health care at the federal level is totally and completely unconstitutional. As a True Patriot, you should know that.

The left should be cheering this debate. If they wanted anyone to actually see it. They wouldn't be putting it on NBC or MSNBC. Bet it gets the same ratings as O'Donnell or Maddow. In which case, no one, I mean, ino one will be watching. Let's face it. O'Reilly will have higher ratings than MSNBC and NBC together.

He knew it was wrong. I can't believe you would defend that kind of statement and call yourself "American". Every nose on the stage has grown an inch.

The candidates tonight say that it is after they repeal the healthcare bill, repeal federal regulations, reduce all corporate taxes then the jobs will come back. they have nothing to offer your son or mine.

Betty...it is the President's fault your son cant find a job and the food prices are high? Perhaps you should contact your representatives and ask them what are they doing about the job situation and what the Congress can do about the speculators that have driven up the price of oil, thus pushing up the prices of food, gasoline and many other sundries.

the President does not create jobs and does not control the setting of the price of a barrel of oil.......find yourself someone else to blame or would that not suit your train of thinking.

Betty..thanks for the compliment. If you read my email I didn't call your son lazy, I said that the republicans are saying that. Haven't you been listening at all to what they have been saying about people who are out of work? You really have to blame congress for this as they have been blocking any progress at every turn. Yes, this country is a long way from being back from the recession but we are looking forward and not backward.

Here's an answer for you Betty. You regulate the %#@$! speculators on Wall Street -- the very speculators Eric Cantor promised to protect, and the GOP/TP have protected by blocking Democrat's efforts to stop speculation.

Betty - you understand better than t.marino and gingerbread. Seems that t.marino wants to get your goat and only has the intellegence of a parroting grade schooler.

Gingerbread wants you to believe that everything is the rights fault. neither she or marino can grasp the concept that the left also played an equal role in this, as well as most taxpayers.

It won't hurt to contact your legislative reps regardless of party and ask them what they are doing to fix the situation.

It is never easy to find work in a recessionary period. Perhaps your son should go to the local unemplyment office to see if he has the job skills local employers are looking for. If not they should be able to direct him to where he may upgrade his skills.

Best wishes to you and your son, but please keep in mind that in the US, recessions occur every 7-12 years, regardless of political party.

Postscript... I am sure that you understand more about life and what works than those who rely on someone elses opinion. After all you are a caring mom with a working age son and your life experiences are worth far more than the opinion of some anonymous liberal posters.

Nice try again, but you told her to go to the local unemployment office! Your Republican friends are doing all they can to close it, so that they have more money for the military and big oil subsidies. This "recession" was hardly normal. The Republicans want to take you out to dinner, but they tell you that they don't have any money, so you can sit at the table and look at the menu, as long as you don't order anything! Betty is a very nice, very ignorant person. Which is why you tried to come to her rescue. It didn't work!

frag - to bad you don't realize that the local unemployment office does more than just process claims. At least in Iowa they do, they offer many services other than just filing for UE. They also have a data base of employers looking for workers that puts the want ads to shame.

Interesting that the republicans wanted to use unspent allocated stimulas funds to fund unemployment extensions, but the democrats just wanted to add to the deficit by borrowing anew.

Did you notice Governor Gary Johnson was not invited. He is the only one willing to put some real issues on the table which is more then I can say for the other brain dead spineless dishonest candidates.  Governor Johnson said; "Today's mess didn't just happen," "We elected it -- one senator, member of Congress and president at a time. Our leaders in Washington, DC, have 'led' America to record unemployment, a devalued currency, banking scandals, a mortgage crisis, drug crisis and economic crisis" The former governor may be best known for his support for legalizing marijuana. He also opposes continuing America's military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know much else about this candidate but I'm willing to listen to him as I'm not at all happy with our current President or Congress or any of the candidates.

The country was loosing approximately 400,000 jobs monthly when this government took over, now the country is creating approximately 200,000 jobs. Can we say the government is moving in the right direction,or should we ask for a change?

Robert...you are correct, the jobs you speak of are public sector state jobs being lost due to the state budgets. No more money for states = no more police, fire fighters, nurses, teachers etc.

                                T. Marino. Although it does suck, eventually SS and medicare are goners. The bad economy matched with exploding demographics doesn't bode well for them. Besides, think about it. Through most of our nation's history, we didn't have those things and were fine. If you could end the Fed and the artificially created boom and bust cycles which kill the lower and middle class, but enrich the bankers, we could either save them or get along without them.

I'll bet you're into the Rapture garbage too. That's like saying it's good to lose all knowledge and go back and live in the Dark Ages again for hundreds of years.

Compared to 401ks, and even professionally-managed pension plans that were lost when companies went bankrupt, Social Security is the best idea so far to give the elderly some dignity. As for Medicare, it also is the best idea so far for dealing with our growing health care problems. Medicare could and should be used to negotiate health care costs. When baby boomers hit retirement, these programs will be our only hope of maintaining decency in our society.

Like the debate, don't just complain. Contribute ideas for viable solutions. Enough!

True - and yet our politicians have done little to create a solvent medicaid or SS system. Obama thinks that just controlling healthcare provider costs is enough for medicare. Probably thinks that controlling everyday costs such as food, and shelter will work for SS as well. The thing is, is that SS was only meant to be a suppliment to old age income. Don't know what LBJ thought medicare/medicaid should have been back in the 60's.

Either obama tells everyone from the minimum wage worker to the wealthiest FICA taxes need to be increased immediately or SS and medicare will wither on the vine and no seniors will recieve any benefit from them in the not to distant future. Just a simple fact of economics

This is a debate to become the President of the United States Of America! This is not a poker game on a Friday Night between friends. These GOP Clowns have nothing politically in their hand to begin with. This is politics for the biggest poltical prize in the world. To be President! In a potlitical debate "Eddy." You want to be specific as possible to defeat your opponents thoroughly. Also "Ignorant Eddy" it is never too early in politics. Thant is fact! In politics "Ignorant Eddy" a politician needs to strike with specifics at all times. This is not a debate Eddy. It is a Circus Of Clowns with no ideas, no policies, and no chance against President Obama. None of these GOP/RNC Clowns are impressive at all! This lack of debate and more of a Clown show is a boring joke. The President for your general lack of knowledge on any level "Ignorant Eddy." Will soundly defeat these Seven GOP Circus Clowns in any type of debate. The President will politically destroy any or all of these clowns anywhere! Anytime! The President has more intellectual power than all of these GOP "Idiots Of Ignorance" put together. The President is able to speak clearly, listens to all sides, has many ideas, and is very Presidential in behavior. These GOP Clowns do not even come close to the stature of President Obama. Think for a change "Ignorant Eddy!!" These GOP Clowns you pitifully try to defend are not going to beat President Obama. Eddy do you hear the circus music yet?? It is just the ringing of circus bells in your ears. This is the great GOP field of contenders to take on the President Eddy?? What a joke America!
