Breitbart site publishes photos of shirtless man it claims is Weiner

For the second time this year, the internet is abuzz with photos of what appears to be a shirtless, married congressman from New York.

A week after Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., doubled down on his claim that a lewd photo sent from his Twitter account was the result of a “prank” or “hack,” the conservative site biggovernment.com has published what appear to be shirtless photos of the lawmaker that were allegedly sent to a young woman via email.

The latest photo published on the conservative site appears to be the bare-chested congressman, posed in an office with photographs visible in the background that resemble himself and his wife.

According to the site, run by provocateur Andrew Breitbart, the image was released to him by an unidentified young woman who says she received the image on Friday, May 20, from a Yahoo email address that she claims serves as an alias for Weiner.

The site also published several other bare-chested images of Weiner that it says were accessible by an internet search of that email alias.

The images come just months after Rep. Chris Lee, R-N.Y., was forced to resign when similar images came to light, ultimately revealing Lee’s provocative interactions with various women via Craigslist.

Weiner told NBC’s Luke Russert last week that he could not say “with certitude” that a below-the-belt photo allegedly sent from his Twitter account last weekend was not of him, but he insisted that he did not send the image to a 21-year-old college student.

Weiner’s office has not responded to journalists’ requests for comment since the images began trickling into the blogosphere today.

A House Democratic leadership aide also tells NBC News that so far nobody in congressional leadership has been in contact with Weiner today.

In an interview, Breitbart told NBC’s Mara Schiavocampo that he is in the possession of more photos and other online communications between Weiner and the unidentified woman. The woman first approached Breitbart and told him she had been engaging in a consensual online "sexting" relationship with the congressman, Breitbart said.

Breitbart’s tactics are generally eyed with some suspicion by objective news sources. His exposure of a speech by Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod led to a media brouhaha over her perceived racist statements before a full screening of the edited video revealed manipulation of her words; he was also involved in the 2009 controversy around a heavily edited video by James O’Keefe that contributed to the demise of ACORN.

NBC's Mara Schiavocampo talks about her conversations with conservative activist Andrew Breitbart.

The woman who received the photo will be interviewed on FOX. What a surprise!

Why is this such a surprise?? If you only read the mainstream media u learn nothing of breaking news or of any news stories of the political party unless it favors the democrats.

I look at the mainstream media, then go to Fox, unfortunately Fox shows the balanced reporting of the News, something the others don't.

For sure the mainstream media wont carry interviews on their favored party which will condemn them.

No favored party at FOX. And Rush Limbaugh offers balanced news. If all else fails, Sarah Palin could get a job as a history teacher. George Bush didn't lie about WMDs. Michelle Bachmann loves African Americans. Sharon Angle didn't suggest that she would shoot Harry Reid if he won.

The photo of the shirtless man looks more like Arnold Schwarzenegger than Anthony Weiner.

You looked?!? Why in the world would you do that? Uh, nevermind, I guess I'm better off not knowing.

I wouldn't trust Breitbart if he told me water was wet. The man has made an obscene living manipulating photos and speech to show them totally out of context. But only Democrats, of course...

I would love to see an investigation to find out where Breitbart's funding comes from. Just a guess but maybe the Koch brothers?

Breitboy needs to realize that there is a tipping point and he is oh so close to reaching it. He goes beyond and he is hurting the point he made. Of course Repugnants do not know when to back off. Keep going ohh Breit one.

So the idea is that the public will get tired of him reporting on the really stupid stuff Democratic politicians and organization do? Right, you really don't know the public. The sleazier the things they do the more the public eats it up. These news organizations would not be reporting on it if they weren't getting ratings from it. So when Breitbart finds something sleazy the Dems do, America won't want to here it reported on. Right, good luck with that one.

Blightbarf is a turd who has no honor and could care less if he hurts the wife and family of Weiner. He is a liar who got lucky with a this thing and allot of the right love him. There is no honor in that. Having said that, I think that Weiner needs to get help. Not being a medical professional, I can't say why he would do these things but it is not just a simple play game when you expose your genitals on the Internet. exhibitionist or a sick compulsion or whatever it is, it is not a normal thing to do. He needs to get help. Vitter is a creep and the Repubs let it go. Gingrich is a creep and the Repubs let it go and so on. The Repubs are not on any higher ground here. I still think that Weiner needs to get help and I feel very bad for his wife and family.

Jennifer why don't you enlighten us knuckle dragger about how Wiener taking obscene pics of himself and sending them to six (at last count) women is Breitbarts fault? Because to us knuckle draggers if he had not taken the pictures there would not be a story! But like all good libs no accountability for Democrat. Vitter made his mistake 7 years ago, came clean with his wife, and constituents and was re elected. You guys can lay claim to Edwards, Clinton, Jackson, Frank, and sadly Kennedy both Ted and John. Typically a Republican leaves office because they are held accountable by their constituents. I personally think he needs to keep his arrogant donkey in office as a continued reminder of who Democrats admire.

Jennifer, you can call him names. But every time he comes out with one of these and it turns out to be true, it makes you look like a fool. If the Koch Bros are behind this, I would like buy them dinner. Not because they are conservative but because have found a way to make these liberal politicians and organization go out and do very stupid things when they know Breitbart is out out there just looking for these things. In other words, don't shoot the messenger. Shoot the idiots doing these things. For the excuse that the Republicans do it to. Did that excuse work with your Mom in 3rd grade. Didn't think so and it doesn't fly now. Get rid of all of them.

Frankly, I feel the same sense of profound disappointment that I felt when it became apparent that President Clinton had lied to the people of the country. I thought that Anthony Weiner was becoming a rising star in the ranks of the Democratic Party. I enjoyed listening to him on the talk shows and I thought he had a great spunky spirit that added spice to the debate.

Maybe it's because I've never sought out arousal while sitting in front of my computer that I seriously don't understand what motivated the congressman to do something like this.....I guess I'm of the school of thought that shuns the idea of cybersexing because it's so much more fulfilling to have the real thing.....so it does definitely make me question his judgment. If I were living in his district and had the opportunity to vote for the man, I probably couldn't do it.

Here is an idea Democrats. If you stop doing these underhanded and sleazy things, you won't have Breitbart to sorry about. The amazing thing is you know he is out there looking for this stuff and your left wing leaders and institutions keep doing this stuff. Then you want to yell at Breitbart. Why don't you yell at the idiots you have in charge who keep doing these things. You claim he has no credibility. But every time he comes out with one of these and they prove to be true, you people lose face attacking him for things which your guys did.

                    Ray W.

If you like Breitbart, that's on you. He is sleazy and so I must assume that you like sleazy. He doctored a video to make Shirley Sherrod look like she was discriminating against white farmers when she actully was tring to help them. She was fired for that little piece of work. Your guys are just as messed up when it comes to sex scandals and you know it. I have not tried to justify what Weiner did but you sticking up for the worthless piece of crap Brietbart makes me wonder about you. He is creep and he enoys hurting people. If you like that then what else in there to discuss with you?

No one is saying that what Weiner did is acceptable. It is sick and he needs help. But to say that only the Dems have this kind of thing going on is a joke at best and you know better. Both parties have men who are involved in sleaze and sex scandals. If we made a list, I think your guys might lead it. When it comes to screwing the country and not doing the people's business but doing the special interests business, your guys would win hands down.

Just catching up on the news of the last few weeks....sounds like alot of outrage over Anthony Weiner. Same outrage over what any Republican did that was similar or worse? Any? Hold everyone to the same standard. Anything else is hypocritical.

That is why Breitbart keeps the photo of Weiner's penis with him at all times so he can whip it out and show it to anyone he can.. or is it that he just likes having another man's penis in his pants. I can tell that he really feels for the the wife and family too. The guy is a jerk.
