Breitbart site publishes photos of shirtless man it claims is Weiner

For the second time this year, the internet is abuzz with photos of what appears to be a shirtless, married congressman from New York.

A week after Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., doubled down on his claim that a lewd photo sent from his Twitter account was the result of a “prank” or “hack,” the conservative site biggovernment.com has published what appear to be shirtless photos of the lawmaker that were allegedly sent to a young woman via email.

The latest photo published on the conservative site appears to be the bare-chested congressman, posed in an office with photographs visible in the background that resemble himself and his wife.

According to the site, run by provocateur Andrew Breitbart, the image was released to him by an unidentified young woman who says she received the image on Friday, May 20, from a Yahoo email address that she claims serves as an alias for Weiner.

The site also published several other bare-chested images of Weiner that it says were accessible by an internet search of that email alias.

The images come just months after Rep. Chris Lee, R-N.Y., was forced to resign when similar images came to light, ultimately revealing Lee’s provocative interactions with various women via Craigslist.

Weiner told NBC’s Luke Russert last week that he could not say “with certitude” that a below-the-belt photo allegedly sent from his Twitter account last weekend was not of him, but he insisted that he did not send the image to a 21-year-old college student.

Weiner’s office has not responded to journalists’ requests for comment since the images began trickling into the blogosphere today.

A House Democratic leadership aide also tells NBC News that so far nobody in congressional leadership has been in contact with Weiner today.

In an interview, Breitbart told NBC’s Mara Schiavocampo that he is in the possession of more photos and other online communications between Weiner and the unidentified woman. The woman first approached Breitbart and told him she had been engaging in a consensual online "sexting" relationship with the congressman, Breitbart said.

Breitbart’s tactics are generally eyed with some suspicion by objective news sources. His exposure of a speech by Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod led to a media brouhaha over her perceived racist statements before a full screening of the edited video revealed manipulation of her words; he was also involved in the 2009 controversy around a heavily edited video by James O’Keefe that contributed to the demise of ACORN.

NBC's Mara Schiavocampo talks about her conversations with conservative activist Andrew Breitbart.

If this is true it's a sad day for Democrats!

Having a scumbag like Briebart's fingerprints all over this is enough to make me question the accuracy of this story! Anything that Briebart's involved in makes me want to take a shower!

Until this is investigated fully, I will give Weiner the benefit of the doubt.

However, if it comes out that he was sexting co-eds, I've got to ask WTF WAS he thinking?

He's one of the strongest & brightest spokesmen in the Democratic Party and you want to throw it all away because he was thinking with his little head?

I would be slow to make judgement on this one. Brietbart's work in destroying Acorn makes him as suspect as Weiner. How about the notion, "Innocent until proven guilty".

If this is true it's a sad day for Democrats!

Why?

Did he ever say he had any morals? Isn't talking about morals and failing to live up to them much worse than having no morals and actually being a worthless, cheating pervert?

If it had been a Repub he would have to leave, but as Matthew Yglesias of thinkprogress says ........

What you need to do to survive infidelity is (a) be an incumbent and (b) don’t quit! David Vitter cheated on his wife with a prostitute. That’s a crime. Bill Clinton cheated on his wife with an intern, and then he lied about it.

Straight from the dumpster, huh.

Libbies will re-elect him ....... nothing matters except the D behind his name.

Whether she was compensated or not would be an interesting question, but it's not germane to the more interesting question, of where she got them. If she got them from Rep Weiner, then the guy is in deep manure, as it speaks to the question of his judgement, or lack thereof. Don't these guys ever learn? Certainly there have been enough scandals in the last two years so that one should learn that sending a tweet, an e-mail, a picture, whatever, is only as secure as the person receiving it would like it to be.

I'm not condemning Rep Weiner yet, but his responses thus far, and this more recent revelation (if true), are falling far short (at least for me) of a believable explanation.

You have to ask this question -- how does it just happen that there is a prank on Anthony Weiner involving an intimate photo and he also just happens to be engaging in a consensual relationship with another young woman in which they are exchanging what I understand are very intimate photos?

I can't believe that Weiner, who was apparently savvy enough to use a private e-mail account to exchange the photos with the second woman, would do something so stupid in the open on Twitter. That says "hack" to me in big red letters. I also think the coincidence suggests that whoever hacked him (I'll go with Dan Wolfe, the guy who claims he originally captured the Twitter pic) knew there were other pictures, too.

And Weiner, of course, has known this right from the start. That's why he couldn't answer the famous question, and why he has seemed to be holding his breath. Even if he was hacked, he knew someone had the original of that photo and suspected there would be worse to come.

Someone needs to get to the bottom of the hack, but I still believe Weiner is probably toast. His judgment is certainly open to serious question for leaving himself so vulnerable to possible blackmail, not to mention what has actually happened. I feel very sorry for his wife.

And it all makes me very sad because whoever did this has succeeded in silencing Weiner on the Clarence Thomas issue. I hope someone else picks up that mantle.

B:

quite frankly, NONE OF ANYONES F@#$ING BUSINESS.

Quite frankly, that's too simplistic of a response. Weiner had no connection to those women except for his position as a Congressman, and he openly claims that he conducts business on Twitter. That makes it public, and therefore, leaving those sorts of pictures all over the internet for people to take advantage of leaves his public judgment open to serious question, irrespective of the effect it may have privately on his marriage. I'm liberal, too, but I know that being an apologist for this isn't the right answer.

If Weiner's innocent, he certainly isn't acting like it.

If he was innocent, he'd be demanding that the FBI or at the very least, the local police to investigate it.

Weiner was literally quivering and shaking when the FBI was mentioned.

B-17,

Has "this man" said anything anything about the crooks at Fannie and Freddie, Wall Street that contributed to the libs by a 4-1 margin, you know the caused the biggest economic collapse in 70 years and has destroyed so many lives.

It is still so unbelievable that our government cound pass (bi-partisan) the Commodities Future Modernization Act of 2000, the law that appeased Wall Street and led more than anything to the recession.

Anybody of real importance ever go to jail? How about Goldman, the company that Obama gave back 100 cents for every dollar they were exposed for. Not cost them even a penny.

Yet the media goes on and on after the guys like this little puke and John Edwards. They should get hammered, but the real travesty is so much bigger .......... and no one has a clue.

Difference between Congressman Wiener and Congressman Lee (before resignation):

Wiener: NY Rep. , Lee: check.

Shirtless Photo to younger woman: check, check.

Denial to Press: check, check

POS Politician: check , check

Now if Wiener resigns: idiot politician who is married and still chases younger women and loses political career over it: check, check.

Personally, even as a Democrat, as soon as Wiener could not deny a photo of his underwear was ever taken, he should have resigned. What a useless perve.

I just hope he loses the hot wife and the congressional seat.

I haven't seen that particular photo, Ron, but I assume so. I understand they're camped right at the top of State Street, and the Capitol is right across the street from there. Probably THE most vibrant corner in the City.

I don't think Weiner has done anything criminal. Just criminally stupid. Judging just from the reactions out here, I'd have to say that sort of stupidity is pretty common, too.

After seeing the photos released today, and reading about the rest, I've stopped worrying about Weiner. On the other hand, I'd say that Breitbart still has a lot of explaining to do.

To clarify my question: Is Weiner's weener comparable to the weener in the Weiner weener photo??

These are "hard" questions, I know. Is a Democrat's weener the same or similar to Weiner's weener?? Such a "Hard" dillema.

It is highly possible that the photos are real, but were hacked from his private photos off his phone for example and never intended for anyone else or sent to anyone else, as alleged. I have a strong suspicion that is a cyber hack setup to discredit him and push him out of office. He has been one of the vocal against the Paul Ryan plan and appears on the media regularly.

So I'm with holding judgement until cyber security people can determine who and how these images were obtained, if in fact they are real (which in themselves do not constitute a problem if they were for his own privacy and not distributed to others as was done by the Rep. fro N.Y.). Should his phone or image storage website been hacked, most likely they also hacked all his contacts and tweet connections and could easily start to send these images around to create an appearance that he is a slim bag predator.

Let's see what the investigation finds. I do think that if it turns out to be hackers and Breitbart is involved, criminal charges should be brought against him. It is obviously at the least a civil action of defamation and libel.

Unlike the other representative that showed his six pack to an online contact, I don't think Anthony is married, so even if he sent such a photo to a lady, whats the problem. He is not breaching any marriage vows, as did the others who left Congress for their affairs and solicitations.

So the bottom line it's a lot to do about nothing. Just another attack by the extreme right wing to discredit an opponent they don't like.

Okay, first I'm going to complain about sloppy writing by MSNBC. Chris Lee was not forced to resign. He chose to resign.

Second, to those saying nothing will happen because he's a Democrat. Two words. David Vitter. Two more words. John Ensign, who stayed in office for a few years afterwards. Two more words. Larry Craig, who although he didn't run again did stay in office after his conviction.

Unlike those cited above, Rep. Weiner appears not to have committed any crime. If he did send these out he certainly is guilty of gross stupidity. I would be curious to be reminded of some of his comments on those who had sex scandals and broke the law (Clinton, Vitter, Ensign, Spitzer, etc.), versus those who had a scandal and didn't (Gingrich, Hyde, Lee) or how his comments were on those who took a moral high ground on marriage versus those who didn't.

If the facts show that Weiner engaged in this type of raunchy and unfaithful behavior he should resign immediately and spare the House, his wife and family, and all of us the soap-opera of clinging selfishly to power. Bob,

Rep Weiner is married to a lady on Secretary of State Clinton's staff. He's been married to her for a year more or less, which sort of takes the wind out of that sail. Rep Weiner's answers have all been vague at best, and misleading to say the least. He's a sitting member of the House of Representatives, if it was a hacking, someone (FBI, Capitol Hill Police, D.C. Police) should be investigating the crime. His reluctance says one of two things, he's guilty of poor judgement in sending the tweet, or he knows who hacked his accounts. Either way, he's got to come clean, or face ridicule for the balance of his elected days.

I stand corrected, he is newly married, but the photos might be again from his phone that he took for his personal use before he was married or to sent to his new wife. We don't know when the photos were shot. That is why he could not definitively state they were faked images. He new they were real, but never sent them to any tweeter contact as alleged. So the investigation will be most interesting.

I suspect that Anthony knew more would come as he knew how many photos he had on his phone or other device that might have been hacked.

This is a very easy cyber setup to make it look like he did something bad. If this is a cyber setup, then we have to look at those who would gain by discrediting him and apply whatever criminal action against them so it doesn't become a pattern to sway the political process. That would be very dangerous to our democracy.

Again, I will withhold judgement until the investigation is completed.

The difference between elected Democrats and elected Republicans is very simple:

When democrats elect someone to Washington we know humans are flawed and we don't care what they do in their own private business as long as they are fighting for us.

When republicans elect someone to Washington everything they do is up for grab and under scrutiny. The republican that resigned earlier, I could really care less what kind of photos he sent out as long as they were not under aged girls. It was his constituents that had the problem and forced him to resign. My thinking is the entire thing was an issue between him and his wife. Just like this is going to have to be an issue between Congressman Wiener and his wife.

The clown that has those pictures is a right wing whacko that really needs to crawl back under the rock he crawled out from under.

You really need to read up on this and not just look at the photos and speculate. I think they were more recent than that, and according to Breitbart they were obtained from a young woman with whom he was engaging in consensual "sexting." There are also supposely other photos, more explicit. I highly doubt Breitbart would make this claim unless he could back it up.

I agree with you he didn't send the photo to the woman on Twitter. But apparently, he did set himself up to have that happen, and he knew from the start that the photo might be him. That's where his judgment comes into question. Or do you think it's a good idea for members of Congress to leave themselves wide open to blackmail, or even worse, as has happened here?

For example, what if the woman with whom he was knowingly exchanging the photos was a plant by Anthony Breitbart in the first place? They obtained the photos, posted the first one on Twitter, where this Wolfe guy was conveniently waiting to intercept it, and then waited for Weiner to resign. When he didn't, they decided they needed to take the next step, even though it risks revealing their own actions, because the media is too stupid to pick up the thread and Weiner is for some reason too scared to confront them by bringing in law enforcement.

Republicans don't control congress, they control one house. The Democrats control the other house and the Presidency, that makes it 2 to 1 Demcrats in the legislative process.

The current economic mess started after the Democrats took control of both houses of Congress in 2007. Then in 2009 they had both housed and the Presidency, 3 - 0 Democrats.

The Weiner has been exposed. I believe every lib on this board owes an apology to Brietbart that has spoken against him! But do I expect the libs to do the honorable thing? Hell no! They are too despicable!

If Weiner were a republican, there would be a vendetta against him to force him to resign. What say YOU libs? Should he resign? You have demanded the resignation of republicans that haven't broken the law but yet had morality issues. Will you be hypocritical? I think so.

Let's hurry up and get Wiener out of there and get a good, moral, Christian, Republican in there, so that he can hurry up and destroy Medicare, lower taxes for the rich and continue to use the deficit to rape and plunder the poor (just like Jesus did). Also the wars, we need more wars, remember being patriotic and sending our young to go die for cheap oil does not contribute to the deficit! Now I see the light, Wiener sent lewd photos...now the Republican plan to help the top 1% and screw everyone else makes sense!!!!

Well, Fiesty, it is truly a sad day for Dems., he confessed. Why do these supposedly intelligent, men of power think their dick is something women want to see? I pity his wife, who did not stand by him, as he recounted his stupidity. Don't they know anything put out on the interent is there forever? Or are they just so arrogant, they think they won't get caught? Men thinking with their "little heads" over their real heads, deserve what they get. Weiner is no different and no better than the Repub. who was trolling his wares on Craig's List. Men of power seem to think they are exempt from any moral standards, and he makes me ashamed as a Progressive Dem.

Hahahahaha you f$%king libs crack me up. If this had been a Republican, you'd be DEMANDING he give up his seat by now. But since he's a Democrat, you go ahead and give him a pass.

The difference is that Wiener actually speaks truth in congress and see's corrupt politicians for what they really are. A lot of Republican's, on the other hand, are void of morals in their personal AND professional lives. As are a lot of Democrats too. Wiener in particular, I'll give a pass to because he's a valuable politician.

As for Weiner - I am beyond disappointed.

As much of an asset as he was for the Democratic party - he should resign for the sake of NOT giving the right wing nitwits something to fixate on for days!

I'll apologize to Breitbart, in all sincerity, but in my opinion, Weiner should have resigned. He calls it a "frivolous exchange among friends," but these women were his friends only because he was a Congressman. He left himself wide open for this to happen, and also potentially for blackmail.

He's doing a great job in deflecting this ultimate question, but sooner or later, someone in a position of power is going to ask.

Personally I don't care what this guy, or a republican, do in their personal lives. What business is it of ours? Whether it's David Vitter, Larry Craig, Bill Clinton, or Arnold Schwarzenegger - If they aren't breaking the law, then it's none of our business. Some could argue that Clinton lied to investigators, but would he have had to if we kept our nose out of his personal affairs (pun intended)?

At the very most, we can point out hypocracy if any is to be found - But that's the extent of it. I'm a liberal, and I've said this for years - I think it's shameful to stick our noses in somebody's bedroom. If Larry Craig is gay, fine. I've got no problem with that. Did he do something illegal? possibly - But it isn't up to the public to decide that - it's up to the courts. Is it a problem for me that Mark Foley likes young men? Only if they are underage.

Does the affair that Arnold had 10 years ago effect his ability to govern? Nope. And I couldn't give a rats ass what he does in his personal life. I would expect the same kind of privacy in my own life.

Whoops - I guess Weiner is just another political douche.

Can we ever just admit that politicians are more susceptible than most to their selfish urges? And that morality is a scarcity when it comes to those who hold political office?

This really isn't liberal or conservative, and a conservative being like this guy is no more hypocritical than a liberal, as these men in almost every instance are married. When you make a vow and then break it for selfish reasons, you make us question your trustworthiness.

While I do believe there are some decent men and women in politics, I sure don't know how to tell the difference anymore.

Im an Independent that leans center right, I use this blog to educate other Independents on what the liberal point of view is and how they deal with others opinions. Then you come in with all guns blazing and take the same route. The old adage "you will catch more bees with honey than vineagar" has truth to it. Reading these posts it has finally become clear to me. I know know what is wrong with libs. They are bipolar! Redhead isn't going to rush to judgment because Weiner is one of the "strongest and brightest spokesman for the Democratic Party." If this is intelligence, then no wonder the country goes down the tube every time libs are in control. No matter what the lib leaders do or say, a lib is "slow to judgment." But, if Weiner had an "R" next to his name, then there is an automatic rush to judgment. But, at least it is good to know that Weiner is the strongest and brightest. It should give all libs hope, after all, there is no place to go but up, right?

Just a few questions from a curious citizen.......

Did the Democrats state anywhere that they did not like sex, pexs, flexs, or women's or men's bits, chits or tits?

Did the democrats say that they did not know what to do wif' a pair o' bristols...?

Did the democrats say that they did not know what to do wif' a pistol or two ...?

Did the democrats say they were more moral that the general public, Or tried to defund Planned Parenthood etc too?

Are the democrats trying to rule women by trying to regulate their reproductive organs or what men do with theirs?

It seems that Bratbart dug deep for this little bit o' tripe.... didn't he? hmmm

Bratbart bit'ov ole t'bag is all dried out sooo..... hmmm LOL

On the other hand......wonder what else is happening in the USA that the main stream/beltway media is finding that it does not want to cover......yet again...so they divert attention with covering idiocy?????

First it was Issa's voice..... or was it the Wassilla missilla voicilla lookilla shakespareilla Painina the bunillina mama gorilla.....

            Ryan's hair and flex...

            Then some other congressman's 6pex

            Then the President's birth rex

            Now Weiner's bud pics.....?

....and very little to Nada about these polititians politics....

Like..... How are those new republican govenors doing with the wrecking ball they have taken to their States..... masses?

How large is the teabagger Florida govenor growing his government and depleting his state coffers..... with his new drug testing of all the citizens of this state? How are the law suits against his policies going? How are the citizens of that state doing with their rights being taken away?

How goes the recall thingy in Wisconsin? What's happening in Michigan? How do the Jersey masses feel about their Gov and what are they doing other than complaining etc etc etc?

You see that is more important to most of the thinking masses than this nonsense about sending a doctored pic to someone...... Except for Bratbart and his fellow tweeners and conserteaners....LOL

On the other hand...Which man would admit to having a small'un i.e. that 'is buddy is a bit smallish? .....Other than Bratbart and his conserteanorts....Hmmmm LOL

The difference between Weiner and Lee is that Weiner doesn't not have to depend on the "holier than thou" right wing nuts to get elected. Weiner has broad minded voters that can forgive a person for a mental belch where Lee's goose was cooked since he could not get elected without the votes from the right wing nut cases. As long as Weiner fights for what I believe then he will get my vote because I don't care what he does in his personal life. Much rather have someone like Weiner that will fight for the rights of the American people and rights of the first responders at the WTC than a "morally pure" Republican that would screw the American people every chance he gets.

Two, the republicans won't forget this one since democrats always go after republican moral offenders. Besides he has proven that he is unreliable with the truth. His first claims were that he didn't send the tweet. Now we all know most politicians aren't reliable with the truth, but when they get caught at it, their credibility ends up in the sewer.

              So Beverly,

Well...you know the ONLY reason that Pelosi is now calling for an investigation is because she wants to save face in front of her fellow liberals. So you are still calling Breibart a slimebag? How about a thank you for exposing someone that IS a slimebag? You are just angry that a conservative outed his nasty behavior. In fact you would have drooled if he had an "R" after his name instead of a "D". His facination with young girls speaks volumes about his credibility. And for him to not resign is yet just another example of how liberals always take care of themselves. People like Rangel, Waters, and now this clown. If that is what being a Democrat is all about its no wonder why people have such a distaste for liberals.

JK, your reply just validates my notion that some folks lack imagination, or the ability to understand what is being suggested, hinted at and thus whatever was being intimated rather must be spelled out in capital letters, in as simple a language and terms as possible, that the regressive, repressives Luddites will or can understand.

In other words....it would seem that one has to be crass, blunt and bald for those of the republconservateabaggerdino ilk to understand what is being noted, stated, said.....

No wonder these repubconteabagdinos need these various conservo think tanks to write their talking points for them, and corporate america to write their laws for them.... or the educational system in this country has been reduced to crap or these folks are just clueless ignorant shills ie empty suits pretending to be learned people, polititians and leaders..... perhaps that explains Palin and her appeal and Brietbart and his zeal. LOL

Like I stated before, but now in as simple I can make it... if a repubo pol is caught with his pants down, perhaps the most one will see exposed is the various conservoteabag talking heads/ think tankers and strategists holding up his short and curlies, nuts and bolt, its and bits for him, as he bubbles, squeaks and leeks. Ok?

                      BZe1,

it's been my experience that Republicans don't really do nuance. And quite frankly, their attempts at humor are juvenile, at best. (See Spanky - pretty much daily).

                      LMAO at your last line,...thx.

To my friends at First Read:

Be careful about this story. If Weiner is innocent, there will be a lot of journalist/pundits looking for cover. Stick with the facts and you all will not be embarrassed.

Yep - take your sweet loving time libbiess. Oh, and do blame it all on Brietbart.

You silly little ducklings - is it starting to dawn on you all that there was a very good reason Anthony would not affirmatively state that it was not his Weiner last week? He just couldn't say with "certitude."

He also refused to get the police involved, instead hired a lawyer. Of course victims go to the police, Perps hire lawyers.

Oh and Ron - a picture says a thousand words. And pretty little co-eds are just precious, right?

And don't forget this is a "personal" matter.

And look at little Drive By - just couldn't go a whole day even without throwing out a Palin reference. Damn that's some BAD Palin-itis you got there Drive By. You really should take something for it. :)

So, now I am totally confused....is the weener in the Alledged Weiner weener photos Weiner's weener or just anybody's weener. Did Weiner have his weener photo enlarged to "inflate" his ego??

I know, these are really "hard" questions. Would the weener in the photos be typical for a Democrat like Weiner?? Come on Weiner, fess up...is that your weener in the Weiner photos or some friend's weener??

And I never went after Brietbart, so I will not apologize to him. After what Brietbart did to destroy that innocent black women, I will never have any respect for him. He preys on people, he just got lucky this time. He is still a dispicable person.

Shirley Sherrod did start the program, because her family farm was one of the biggest loser in the gov. plan, and she won, because she was right. She did a lot of good for many black farmers, who were being shortchanged. She was exhonorated and offered her old job back, she was wronged. She's a older woman, who fought for fairness all her life. She did not deserve what Brietbart did to her. He is a bottom feeder, who preys on blacks and others. He got this one right, a stopped watch is right twice a day. He remains scum and he showed that when he co-opted Weiner's news conference yesterday.

Seems Weiner has only one choice. He either categorically denies the photos, all the photos, are not of him and seeks legal remedies to squash this or stays silent. His silence would speak volumes to the allegations.

Of course he would, and in fact does, which is precisely why he did not go to the cops last week. They could have verified they came from Weiner's account in about 10 minutes, which Weiner knows.

Fact is the little guy had every chance last week but failed to do anything other than dig deeper.

So Anthony had every incentive to "puff" himself up, so to speak.

IF these allegations turn out to be true, I am disappointed that Rep. Weiner isn't the person I thought him to be. The lack of judgment in this kind of behavior is not something that I want from people in government.

I agree with you, Suzanne---Breitbart does not have a track record of honesty and IF Weiner says the photos aren't of him, I would take his word for it but the story does not seem to be developing that way and I was just making the point that I think the kind of judgment that thinks it is OK for a married man to send around this kind of photo is not the kind of judgment we need running the country. From either party.

                                  Suzanne,

People say the same thing about "The National Inquirer" yet they do come up with real stories that the MSM won't touch. I accept that a person doesn't take his story at face value, I just wonder why so many refuse to even consider it. You condemn Breitbart with no information about this story because you don't like him; aren't you just the flip side of those that accept the story blindly. Politics in this country, don't wait for the truth, just listen to those that speak your language.

Parker as a current service member (0699) we have a saying in the Marines (I wouldn't expect you to understand this though) "Never pay for the same piece of real estate twice". If you need help I'll gladly help you tough guy. You sure are an Army Doggie aren't you. Talking about concealed weapons and all this garbage. To your credit you have a point and I do support it also. However I also support solid judgement. See in my beloved Marine Corps I learned that proper and decisive judgement and superior thinking overwhelms a superior force. Thats why there are so few of us (MARINES) and so many of you (ARMY). Lastly, feeling sorry for myself?? what are you talking about dude?? so because I actually learned how to think for myself in the Marines Im feeling sorry for myself??? or is it because I don't agree with you. Grow some spine mister "Army of one" and tell me.

This mess can only elevate Weiner's stature with the Democratic crowd - Clinton got impeached and he is the brightest bulb the Dems have. The only worry will be if he didn't get dirty enough or hurt as many people as he should to claim a perverted victory.

"Of the Troops, For the Troops." Must not have scored well on your ASVAB to end up in the Marines. Nothing more needs to be said on that and few will back you up. Marines are called JAR HEADS for a reason. Unless you were Recon, I give you JUST respect for serving, nothing more. Back to the point of Weiner, you must think this is good politics. This must be what the Marines are dying for. Sorry, I forgot, they are dying for Osama Obamas Nobel Peace Prize.

'guys really know how to party, not pay taxes, and have befriended Hypocrities.' - How are they hypocrites? The right-wing is the only always preaching about family values and wanting to stick its nose in everyone's bedroom. The left-wing generally says that what happens in the bedroom is your own business. I think this is an unfortunate situation, but I still agree with Rep. Weiner's policies and do not see how this makes him a hypocrite. Now Larry Craig on the other hand.....

Whats wrong with you guys! We are all vets of this great country! I can tell you from experience that we ALL need each other in any combat situation. I have been part of many missions where AF support was a god sent and how many times has a Marine detachment needed a close in drop or shore bombardment. I personally pulled bodies out of the Marine barracks in Lebanon and put them in reefers on US navy destroyers. One of the worst days for me was the day they took all Marine guards off Naval Gates for civilian guards. As a member of a naval weapons group that supported SEAL teams 2 and 4 We had multi service support for the building and deployment of multiplatform weapons systems. One of our best weapons platforms was a mark 82 AF bomb body with a series of Army fuses delivered by naval delivery systems. While banter is fun at army/navy games in this arena we should at the military level be equals. There are so few of us willing to give everything to protect the rights of many! God Bless all of our veterans! But this Wiener guy is not worthy of your arguing

We might have repaid that one (in blood) from 1917 to 1919 and 1941 to 1945.

You've been crushed courtesy of the USMC by way of Annapolis. Wish we could play the Pointie Heads 12 times a year in football. We'd be undefeated.

You nailed it and Clinton wagging his finger at the television camera and in all our faces and stating "I never had sexual relations with THAT woman" (she went from Monica Lewinsky to "That" and over night too)...was a classic and a "gold plated BIG lie" moment too!

Seriously?? this is pure comedy. You're calling out Clinton for "lying to the country" about what should have stayed between him and his wife? Really? okay lets talk about your good christian crusader for the faith "W" who flagrantly lied to all of our service members about the real reason we went to war in iraq. What weapons of mass destruction?? where are they??? answer there were none to begin with end of file. Don't bother trying to argue with me about it I was there and we found nothing so save it for Hanity. Second lets talk about trickle down economics. Bush sated that tax cuts for the top 1,2,3,and 4% would "create jobs". Question where are the jobs??? Answer there in China and India where minimum wage is 50 cents an hour. So he was right they create jobs but not on this continent. Lastly, he said in essence deregulating Wall Street would create jobs. HA, wrong again. It just created Global Chaos like Hoover did in the 1930's Amazing how in the last near hundred years we still haven't learned that trickle down economics does not work for Americans. So In a way I kinda like some forms of socialism to keep greed in check. Now seeing that the unemployment rate is at 9.1% explain to me how going back to the Bush doctrine which caused all this will improve it as Ryan so believes I dare any of you.

You mean Andrew Breitbart, Dan Wolfe and Mike Stack? At least one of the three is a pornographer and has been convicted of domestic battery. All three seem to be involved in fraud, cyber bullying and sexual harassment.

SGTMAX - you make me sick. Both sides of the aisle thought Saddam had weapons. And for your information, there were mass graves found with hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis burried. So, Saddam did have weapons of mass destruction at one point. Read below:

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them."

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
                                                    - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."

We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. "There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

Hmm - let's see: Sex scandals Ensign, Vitter, the Republican governor with the foot fetish; shall I go on? All human, but all capable of transgressions. Serial molesters, you idiot, trump these by a long shot. Get real, but then again, all we see is total hysteria from Republicans in this country. You are a sad sorry excuse of humanity, but again, what one expects from so called "conservatives". Ensign, Vitter, the foot fetish guy, and others on the right did far more graphic things than Anthony Weiner did on his twitter account. But I guess prostitutes, other people's wives, and actual physical sex are ok with conservatives as long as you are a Republican. Hypocrits on the right and you prove it every day.

Hasn't he heard about Karma? Guilty or innocent, the disingenuous tactics he uses has revealed his folly is believing his own lies. His hoaxes likely have little of the connective tissue he would have us to believe.

The folks he's tried to destroy may not be all squeaky clean, though most have proven to be relatively if not definitively innocent, but they are not conniving benders of truth on the WRONG side of history.

His drivel has always been suspect at best. He is Palineque in his ability to remain in the spotlight even though his methods have been poo-pooed as nothing short of ilegitimate.

You're a ranting, raving, self-aggrandizing tool, Spank Yo'self! Speaking of spanking. . .seems you're an expert on the matter at . . .ahem. . . hand. No WONDER you talk in terms of "ex" girlfriends! Peer into your local community cement pond much? Well, whatever it is you think you're hearing, it's lying to you, Dawg! What a MAROON. Now, on to the issue of this particular article. . .

It saddens me to think such an outspoken and fearless defender of our 9/11 first responders would go down this all too oft travelled bridge to nowhere. I loathe this type of behavior by men/women in positions of power. But, in this case, as in any case involving the lower than pond scum Brietbart, I'll reserve judgement until all the facts are in.

Question: Do ALL men, regardless of relative power in their work lives, prance around in the nude and/or, at least, shirtless & pant-less whilst taking photos of themselves either above and/or below the waist? I don't get it. I just don't get it. Unless a man is a model for the P90x workout routine, a professional dancer, and/or in great physical shape, we the WOMEN don't care to look at it, okay? What's the problem? Perpetual Prepubescence? GET OVER IT & GROW THE FRANK UP!

Breitbart is an admitted liar, although he frames it differently (as would any con artist). Weiner has not admitted to anything, so until he does or is proved to have done something, he is innocent. See, you Republicans, ever the finger pointers, tend to forget something about law in our country...innocent until proved guilty. You righties, at least the windbags on these boards, are very good at prevarication and obfuscation, not so good at actually travelling the path you tell everybody else to walk. Yeah, that's class... Lewd sick picks? What, are you the national censor as well? And you feel you can call others names? Amazing.

The simple truth is if it wasn't Rep Weiner who sent the tweet, someone is guilty of internet hacking and should go to jail. If someone obtained pictures [mildly PG-rated of a shirtless male] in an illegal break-in of an internet accout, the persons involved are criminally conspiring and should be held legally responsible.

Based on previous history, I believe we will find out what happened involves a certain known twister of facts: He's been Breitbarted!

He can't say for sure it's not him- Well why would he? If it's not,it's a pretty good image to perpetuate. Now I gather there are pics of a man's bare chest WHOOPIE!! No, way would anyone believe that under that suit is a nice chest and guns....just scrawniness, so, I won't even bother-I'm thinking Breitbart is B*Tsh#T Crazy

Perhaps it is time "someone" in the Democratic party "suggested" to Weiner that if he can't be truthful or honorable that he at least put the camera away.
