Congress: Weiner-gate continues

The New York tabloids have a field day with the Brooklyn-Queens Democrat. The New York Daily News’ cover: “Weiner’s pickle.”

The Post: “Weiner’s a very bad liar.” And this from The Post’s David Seifman: “Weiner's mayoral hopes dim as Twit hits the fan.”

And the paper goes there… “Rep. Anthony Weiner’s stunning wife had a front-row seat to the mother of all sex scandals — she served in the Clinton White House during Monicagate. And now, 34-year-old Huma Abedin has to deal with her hubby’s own public shame, as he tries to explain away his connection to a lewd Twitter picture. Weiner said yesterday his beautiful spouse — a longtime aide to now-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton — doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about. ‘She’s seen an awful lot,’ Weiner told MSNBC. ‘But I won’t mind telling you that even for someone that went through the Clinton years, this has been a befuddling experience.’”

The Daily News’ Daly makes this point: “Of course, if Weiner did go to the FBI or the Capitol Police, he would be taking a chance if he told anything but the full truth. Lying to the feds is a crime, as Martha Stewart could attest.”

“Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is moving to insulate Republicans on the politically thorny Medicare reform issue by insisting that it be included in any bipartisan agreement to raise the debt ceiling,” Roll Call reports.

“House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Wednesday that he wants to strike a deal on the nation’s debt limit over the next month,” The Hill reports. But another Hill story adds, “Some GOP no’s on ‘pledge’ could complicate debt talks.”

Question: Will the same people who blew a gasket last week when Ed Schultz called Laura Ingraham a "slut" be up in arms now that the Conservative blog "Gateway Pundit" is doing the same to any semi-attractive woman who Congressman Weiner "follows" on Twitter?

The fact that Weiner would not categorically deny that the picture was NOT of him speaks volumes of what really happened.

Really. If I took a picture (or had someone else do it) of my hog, I'd sure think I would know if the posibility of it being me was there. IF no pictures were ever taken, I'd know for sure it wasn't mine.

I wouldn't do something like this, though. See- I have one nut the size of a hay-seed, and the other one is a little bitty devil.

We can always count on the American New Media to follow ridiculous stories and placing an innocent College Student who received nothing in this mess. Our Country is quickly facing significant problems, families are hurting, jobs are being destroyed, we are facing a Take-Over by the Republican Party a new World Order, the Rich and everyone else regardless whether you are a Republican, Dem or Independent, you will fall in with the rest of the Non-Rich

Yet the Media some who we are coming to just Write Off, gets involved in topics that do nothing to address serious issues facing our country.

What will the headlines read though it won't happen should we actually have a Take-Over?"

Thank goodness the Republicans don't run the U.S. or the world that's why many of us who know the Person who actually Runs the World and know he is in Charge can actually sleep at night.

Sorry, but even as a kool-aid drinking sychophant, you must realize if this was a Republican, you'd, and I mean YOU, would be screaming for his head. The word to describe that is "hypocritical." And THAT is the problem.

Come on Weiner do the right thing and resign and quit trying to weasel out of it. Didn't a republican congressman from NY26 district resign and all he did was send a picture of his bare chest. When ever a republican does something the left jumps up and demands they step down immediately. The FBI has admitted they could have found out who did this within 5 minutes. Weiner, you are a pervert, admit it and resign from congress immediately.

The beleaguered Congressman Weiner Dog has suffered an attack on his privacy, his reputation, and his person. Due to obvious national security implications, there is no other choice but to demand full Congressional investigation of the crime. This could be another example of espionage and cyber-warfare by the Chinese military, or it might just be a sick old man hitting on a young admirer. Either way, inquiring minds want to know.

The real issue in this article is not about Weiner. The real issue is McConnell trying to push Ryan's Medicare killing policy into reality to get the debt ceiling raised so that we can give millionaires more money. This is pure extortion to throw the middle class under the bus so that the upper 2% can get even richer while the rest of us beg in the streets. Who cares about Weiner?

The picture is not of me, I did not send it, and the FBI is investigating a crime of hacking. That would have put this story to bed. But Weiner has been anything but convincing, and in fact the more he talks the more unbelievable his story becomes. He knows it would be a crime to file a false report or make false statements to law enforcement. At the same time he appears to be attempting to not tell any direct lies, while he also attempts to not have to tell the truth.

The underlying issue for me is different, and that is whether someone like Weiner is the best we can get to serve in Congress? You have to wonder what it takes for New York voters to say, maybe he is not the best candidate. After all Rangell and Schumer are still in office, so why should Weiner worry. Voters need to start looking beyond party affiliations and put some value on the quality of character. Weiner is certainly not serving in Washington in the best interest of the American people, he is solely ideologically driven and that no doubt means taking care of himself first. He is your prototypical do as I say and not as I do politician. One standard for the working folks, and another for the entitled. Weiner is a Washington elitist plain and simple. Thanks New York. Next time elect him mayor so that you and not the entire nation is made to suffer for your poor decision.

When a liberal congressman says he doesn't want to waste taxpayer dollars to investigate the hacking of his twitter account then you know he is lying. When has Weiner ever shrank away from wasting his I mean our money.
