Appears that bat sh!t CRAZY Bachmann has gotton the 'green light' from GOD! lol

Apparently, Michele Bachmann is now confirming that she has received the long-awaited go-ahead from the Lord on her presidential run. Per Eric Kleefeld, she revealed that she had received His blessing in an interview with Iowa Public Television:

Well, it's good to know that God is not sexist, anyway. So far, He's endorsed several republican candidates of both genders.

Good golly Anna Molly, but it would appear that god [that's the god of a vibrant economy, a little "g" god] has forsaken Obama.

It's official now - double dip, straight up.

Bachmann, Palin, Palin/Bachmann - it just does not matter. Obama is tied to the economy. The economy is in the crapper and will be for the foreseeable future. Hence Obama has little, if any shot.

Really it's just a question of whether gas will hit $5.00 before unemployment hits 10%.

Oh and GingerBread- the voices in my head are clearly saying to buy more gold, and get prepared for hyper-inflation. Ahh, the good old days - jumbo CD's paying out 15% percent. Too bad the frigging dollar just went even lower. Plus, it's looking like a loaf of bread will cost $10.00

Good times.

And hey First read finally got forced into a story about Weinergate. So Bev. just how did Brietbart get a picture of Weiner's junk?

Yes in deed, the old bush tax cuts have paid off. Time to get back to the Clinton era tax rates.

Let's see ... how about a concealed cell phone camera, or even worse, in the House locker room?

But I guess that doesn't explain everything about it, either, from everything I've heard.

Why thank's for the shout out Bryan. Hail away my man.

But narcissist? Dude that was not my Weiner in Weiner's short.

Oh and too easy DBO and job1 - tax cuts don't effect durable good sales, home sales, gas prices or what have you.

But you all are super smart and know that already, right?

      #1.8 - Wed Jun 1, 2011 6:49 PM EDT

tax cuts don't effect durable good sales, home sales, gas prices or what have you.

Of course, tax cuts don't affect those things, Spanky. The only thing that affects those things is JOBS.

What do you think we've been trying to tell you? Tax cuts don't create demand, and no demand means no jobs, and no jobs means no demand, and so on and so on ....

What is it about this fundamental principle of economics that your well-honed legal-eagle mind can't absorb?

      Or won't.

      The only thing?

This well-honed legal eagle mind thinks that there just might be a little more to it. Cause see according to the actual big brained economists on CNBC this morning we are headed for a depression type situation. Tax cuts are nice, but failed stimuli, failed QE 1 and 2, and out of control entitlements are a tad more important right now.

But hey, maybe you are right - lets raise taxes across the board and see is that effects jobs. What do you think AM?

So how about it - Liberal Arts, Woman's Studies, Poly sci?

        #1.10 - Wed Jun 1, 2011 7:03 PM EDT

I think we should have heeded the original advice of the many respected economists who said that the proposed stimulus was actually not big enough. You ought to be smart enough to have learned the lesson of the last Great Depression, which was -- just in case you need the reminder -- you don't starve your way out of an economic drought.

Unless, of course, starving the economy so that President Obama takes the fall is exactly what republicans are willing to do to gain ultimate power. Because we already know that those who pull republican strings are perfectly able to absorb the blow and ride out the storm, and that they don't care about the rest of us.

In case we didn't know it before, the Ryan budget plan taught us that.

p.s. You know I already saw the double-dip coming, and that I prepared for it. How did I see it coming, you ask? Because it was way too easy to see that extending the tax cuts and other republican ideas were not likely to work, and so here we are. Again.

Doesn't the big O claim to be Christian? Christians talk to God all the time........and claim he moves them to alter their lives in the service of he and humanity.

So..........which of you libby hypocrites are going to open up the derogatory sniping of your messiah?

Am - what you don't so is continue to spend money you don't have. You and Krugman lost that argument. There will be no more stimuli's.

Austerity is the new norm AM. Just look at Europe and it's failed socialist policies.

Cutting taxes had nothing to do with the devaluation of the dollar. That'd be stimulus and QE1 & 2.

We can debate economics all day - fact is we are toast. You and I know it, and we knew it months ago when we cashed out of the stock market. I'd way rather have 4 more with Obama than what's likely coming. Unfortunately, he's gone, because the economy is too.

So it was liberal arts, eh?

            #1.15 - Wed Jun 1, 2011 7:41 PM EDT

hmmmm... QE1 and QE 2 pumping cash into the economy. recovery act of 2009 pumping cash to a favored few into the economy, individual payroll taxes and FICA taxes reduced to pump cash into the economy, unemployment extensions used to pump cash into the economy. All this was supposidly done to stimulate the economy.

Now FR pundits job1, driveby and anna seem to think that tax cuts don't pump money into the economy and are ineffective. By that reasoning, no amount of economic stimulas will really help the economy. Dang it, why didn't I plant those apple trees years ago, I could be selling them on the street corner to survive.

what you don't so is continue to spend money you don't have.

              Spankster,

reagan, bush, & bush are responsible for 10.4 Trillion of National Debt; bush jr is responsible for 6.7 Trillion of it. (Source: US Treasury.gov) Who continued to spend money "you don't have"?

Austerity is the new norm AM. Just look at Europe and it's failed socialist policies.

Austerity is the new GOP norm; let us give credit where credit is due! Define if you can (which I highly doubt would be possible) what socialism actually is.

Cutting taxes had nothing to do with the devaluation of the dollar. That'd be stimulus and QE1 & 2.

              Faulty statement there "spankster".

Devaluation of the US Dollar is a direct result of: republican overspending; reagan, bush, & bush are responsible for 10.4 Trillion of the current national debt. Source: US Treasury.gov, and starving the Federal Government of tax revenue via the Norquist tax cuts. Any other statement is either born of ignorance, or is a deliberate falsehood. Which is it spankster?

Well honed legal mind? You are joking; right?

Tax cuts are nice? Only for the rich!

Out of control entitlements? Oh you mean tax cuts, aka: Welfare or Socialism for the rich.

But hey, maybe you are right - lets raise taxes across the board and see is that effects jobs. What do you think AM?

Let's raise taxes on the rich and end socialism in this country once and for all. Regarding the affects; the National Debt will go down and the rich can stop being tax deadbeats! Concerning jobs: All those overseas jobs the rich shipped overseas will not be impacted, so no worries there spankster!

It would be fun. Bachmann and Obama would get hit with questions about the economy. Bachmann could spew crap about Hope and Change, transparency, ending wars - you know just make stuff up.

Obama would have to discuss the stuff he actually did. You know Stimulus and QE2, and ramping up the war efforts.

Or I suppose he could talk about the $4 billion in loans he forgave, and the additional $billion loans he just made, to Chrysler. You know so they could "pay back" all the money they took.

Yep, a debate would be great. Can't wait.

Come on you all, even the libbies at the NY TImes have admitted he cannot run on his record.

The content of Spanky's posts only leads me to strongly suspect that he's not a paid blogger. Now regarding Spanky: Oddly enough, maybe that's why I get addicted to reading postings of those on the right and far right. It astonishes me to truly realize that there are indeed people who believe what they post. Sometimes their remarks frighten me, and please don't read this as a sign of weakness, because all forms of knowledge is power. I'll be the first to admit that sometimes my replies are snotty and sarcastic, but stooping to their level only makes be feel bad. We all have heated opinions, and it's up to each and every one of us to at least try to be civil. All of us need to think before we press "Post Comment." Thanks for reading.

(p.s. When I've posted the question to people like Spanky, "Are you enjoying the tax CUTS President Obama has given you?" I never get a reply. Makes you wonder, huh.)

                          Got this off the internet..

                          Some of Michelle Bachmans quotes.

Enforced Homosexuality: "And what a bizarre time we're in, when a judge will say to little children that you can't say the pledge of allegiance, but you must learn that homosexuality is normal and you should try it."

McCarthwhat?: "I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro-America or anti-America?"

Literally Hundreds: "There are hundreds and hundreds of scientists, many of them holding Nobel Prizes, who believe in intelligent design."

Correlation ≠ Causation: "I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president Jimmy Carter. And I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it's an interesting coincidence."

Consequences Will Never Be The Same: "[Gay marriage] is probably the biggest issue that will impact our state and our nation in the last, at least, thirty years. I am not understating that."

Queer Simba: "Normalization [of gayness] through desensitization. Very effective way to do this with a bunch of second graders is take a picture of 'The Lion King' for instance, and a teacher might say, 'Do you know that the music for this movie was written by a gay man?' The message is: 'I'm better at what I do, because I'm gay.'"

Their Slaves May Beg To Differ: But we also know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States."

Think of the Children: "It is a brand new, billion-dollar high speed train that is going to go from Disneyland up to Las Vegas...Harry Reid, the Senator from Nevada, was behind this measure, and it makes us wonder, is he more interested in making sure kids start gambling at younger ages?"

Only the Finest Tikka Masala For Barack: "The President of the United States will be taking a trip over to India that is expected to cost the taxpayers $200 million a day."

From the woman who would be President.

I remember the night on Hardball she made that first comment. Couldn't believe I heard her right and apparently neither did Chris Matthews because he asked several followups. She really did sound the same alarmest nonsense as McCarthy.

                          Groucho,

How could one question those credentials? I'm going to take a wild guess here; I'd say based on what you've shared, if Bachmann were to take the WAIS-IV (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale) I.Q. test, she would score well below the median. (The median Full Scale IQ is centered at 100, with a standard deviation of 15. In a normal distribution, the IQ range of one standard deviation above and below the mean (i.e., between 85 and 115) is where approximately 68% of all adults would fall.) That same 68% are allowed to vote; which explains the existence of the GOP. Therefore; it would not be difficult to comprehend why a significant percentage of that same 68% could vote her into office. If approximately 68% of adults rate average in intelligence; how is it possible that any of the remaining 32% could be the least bit mystified by the present state of affairs in America?

On a serious note, it is important to remember that Bachmann is the person who proposed a plan calling for a reduction in the Veteran Affairs budget by $4.5 billion from its annual $125 billion budget, including by capping increases to health care spending for veterans and reducing some disability compensation.

Now the hypocrite is a flag waving, gung ho patriot who loves our troops and the sacrfices they make every day.

Surprise, not so much. It was obvious already that Bachmann plans to run and announce in Iowa so this is not news just clues. If she weren't planning to run, she would not travel to Waterloo, IA, to disappoint her fan base in person by saying she won't run. As I mentioned earlier today, Bachmann represents the Iowa republicans most likely to attend the caucus in large numbers and they are very conservative. A lot can happen between now and Bachmann's official announcement date. One thing for certain, the GOP debates will be entertaining.

Congresswoman Michelle Bachman had a successful career as a tax attorney, and also helped raise 23 foster children. She may not win, but she is an impressive achiever.

As if Bachmann's farm subsidies weren't enough - she planted another cash crop!

Sure, you knew Michele Bachmann was a crazy pope-hating Jesus Freak and Republican candidate for Minnesota’s 6th district who’s likely to win because all those people are crazy down there, but did you know she basically runs a baby farm?

A Wonkette operative says Bachmann has five kids of her own and raised an astonishing 23 foster kids. A nice person would say, “Oh, that’s a nice thing.” But our cold-hearted operative notes that Minnesota pays $30 a day, tax free, per foster kid.

“So if Bachmann has fostered 23 children, let’s say for an average of five years, that would come out to a non-taxable $1,259,250,” the Wonk-Op writes. “No wonder she’s anti-abortion. Children are a cash crop for her.”

Have you read your own posts? Have you read the other GOP posts? You guys hit way below the belt on every topic and issue. If you guys only called us stupid, that would at least be an improvement.

Why isn't Bachman's latest pronouncement in here?

Rep. Bachman was in NH over Memorial Day Weekend. The last time she campaigned there she applauded NH as the state where the Battle of Lexington and Concord was fought. Then someone pointed out that happened in MA.

So this time she took on international issues. She said the U. S. should not be in Libya. "Ghadafy didn't do anything to us," claimed Bachman. (Want to ask the families of people on the PanAm flight about that?)

And she concluded: "...as a dictator he is pretty benign."

Congresswoman Michelle Bachman had a successful career as a tax attorney, and also helped raise 23 foster children. She may not win, but she is an impressive achiever.

Let me stop you right there. She is so clueless she doesn't even know she does NOT have a LL.M Degree in Tax Law from the College of William and Mary .

                                            1. William and Mary does NOT now and never has offered an LL.M Degree in Tax Law.
                                            1. The ONLY LL.M Program that William and Mary offer is for "Foreign Students" ... Non U.S. Lawyers ... William & Mary's ONLY LL.M program is titled: "LL.M in American Law."not Tax Law.

                                            Don't believe me

Michele is not as dumb as you think. The girl see's politics for what it has become. Money, Money, and more Money. Michele has seen Sarah come from a lower middle class not much of anything that couldn't finish anything, to a celebrity with two homes, able to travel and pretty much do as she wants. Sarah doesn't even have to do anything. Simply be there, smile, and------make a couple bucks I guess. And she even gets fawned by Faux.

Michele is hoping this all works out for her. Unfortunately, I have a feeling she is blumbering into something she will wish she had stayed out of. Michele has a few skeletons on the bizzzzzarre side.

Bachmann and Palin as the Republican ticket for 2012. They will get every comedians vote and sweep the far right nut cake block. The debate ratings will go through the roof and since laughter is the best medicine they might help bring down health cost. It sounds like they should run to me.

The distortions and misdirection from the right are at best laughable. Who is responsible for decimating the global economy? Easy question to answer; all you have to do is look into the past. The economy was just fine under Clinton; but took a nose dive under Bush, Cheney, and the republican majority in congress. It only took them 8 short years under the guidance of Grover Norquist (republican policy architect & carpet bagger of the rich) to wreak total destruction; the consequences of which you are feeling now. You see it was Norquist who engineered the Bush tax cuts, the 10.4 Trillion republican portion of the national debt (Reagan, bush & bush contributed 10.4 Trillion per US Treasury.gov with bush jr contributing 6.7 Trillion), the current "deficit crisis" via tax revenue shortfall, and the uncompromising tea party (which is his brown shirt arm of the republican S.S.), along with the "budget ceiling crisis" which is clearly a result of the massive tax cuts and rebates for the rich (in the form of 2 stimulus packages) and the 10.4 Trillion dollar spending spree. All these components are designed to have the effect of forcing the "social engineering" changes upon you, that the rich have been demanding and Norquist (aka: Adolf Eichmann) has been working so diligently to deliver. So now the rich via Norquist have the Democrats against the ropes. The big showdown at the "not okay corral" over the Norquist engineered "budget ceiling crisis" has begun; the outcome will determine if we of the 99% are forced back into the dark ages yet again, or whether the Democrats will fend off the "brown shirts" until 2012. The question you need to ask yourself is: Do you want to return to total subjugation by the rich? Anyone care to relive the Great Depression? The rich do, as they know it means they win!

If not; keep in mind the republicans have been selling you down the river for the last 40 years and they will not be changing their game. So you can get out and vote for Independents or Democrats and save yourselves from total enslavement and peasantry, or you can (Definition of insanity: Repeat the same action and expect a different result) keep buying the big lie. Yes, the problem with republicans is they think everyone has the brains and ability to hold jobs and be responsible for themselves, and the fact is if you look at dems, they cry for someone to take care of them from cradle to grave. Unable to fend for themselves.

So, maybe they should stop thinking that way. Most dems just don't have the strength.

                                                  Joebuck,

You are confused. It is the rich who are on a 2 Trillion dollar welfare plan (socialism). It is the rich puppet masters of the republicans who are on a socialist welfare and hand outs from the Fed program. It is they who expect to be taken care of from cradle to grave on the backs of the working class who pay all the taxes. Go spin your yarn somewhere else, we are not buying the lie. You cheated, and you will be defeated. And the poor little elitist welfare recipients cried all the way home. And tell Norquist he is going to lose. It's going to be an even greater fiasco than the "read my lips, no new taxes" debacle that brought down Daddy Bush and installed Clinton. LMAO !!!!!!! What a bunch of parasites the rich truly are. Disgusting in every sense of the word!

We are not impressed yet. It could be that she intends to run for Amy Klobuchar's Senate Seat in 2012. But everyone inthe Minnesota DFL will give her thumbs up to try for the big job in Washington. After all, why should Democrats have the honor of fielding 2 candidates for the presidency-Humphrey and McCarthy in the same year; and the Republicans be socially deprived.

Tim Pawlenty was not a good governor by most accounts. He let the 35 W bridge collapse among other things. He had 2 $6 billion short falls in 8 years-hardly prudent fiscal managment. His sucessor-Tom Emmer ran away, not towards T-paws economic develoment plan.

Michelle on the other hand voted against almost every environtal program. She claims "Americais running out of millionaires" without noticing Wall Street is constanoly minting new ones.
