Palin, Trump meet and dine in NYC

The search is on for the could-be-candidate who says she is not campaigning, but nobody knows for sure where Sarah Palin might turn up next. NBC's Mike Taibbi reports.

UPDATE: Just in case you thought that Sarah Palin's press-goosechase bus tour of the I-95 corridor couldn't get any more surreal...

Michael Cohen, special counsel to Donald Trump, confirmed to NBC News that the real estate mogul and his wife will meet and dine with Palin and her husband Tuesday night in New York City.

Cohen tells NBC News that Palin and Trump had previously discussed meeting up the next time Palin visited the city.

Trump and his wife, Melania, ate pizza with Palin and her daughter Piper at La Famiglia on 50th Street and Broadway.

Good Grief!

Two publicity whores at the same table!

On the menu this evening, there will be a narcissism souffle with a side dish of ludicrous!

May 31, 2011 - Republican strategist Charlie Cook on
Sarah Palin: "I do not think she will run. Why would she give up her
million dollar job with Fox and $75,000 a speech?"

"She is making more money than God ever intended her to make."

"making more money than God ever intended her to make" or her tiny brain would allow. Her sum total of talent has more to do with her Looks than any God given ability. Thanks to a desperate McCain in 2008, we are stuck with this T and A show for for another election cycle. Hopefully, the Tea-Baggers will find another nice set of boobs to get hard for in 2016. The only way she would ever get my vote, is if she and the Donald go on TV and give us a demonstration of Tea-Bagging.

American? I'm guilty. I AM jealous that an idiot with little to NO talent for running a town, let alone a state and God forbid the country, can cross the country making speeches that are so totally without fact, that she makes a bazillion dollars. I'm all for people who work hard and make a ton of money, but what this woman does is on par with what a pimp is... making money for doing NOTHING....

What Trump and Palin have in common is their ability to play the silly media like a big bass drum. It is fun to watch these serious reporters being schooled by his hairness and her hotness.

I guess it is more fun than writing about 9% unemployment, anemic economic growth, $4 per gallon for gasoline, and a double dip housing recession.

With data like this, my puppy could whip Obama's ass. And I have her long form birth certificate handy.

I said it last week, and I still believe it. Just because she runs doesn't mean she's giving up any of her high paying gigs. That's the thing. I think her campaign will be a gig itself, i.e. a reality tv show. "Behind the scenes of a Presidential campaign as you've never seen it." If you think about it, it'll be her way to be in the media, but have complete control over how she's portrayed. She won't give any interviews to other networks as to avoid the Couric-like disaster. Trump can finance the whole thing so he can pop up from time to time to remain relevant.

That's my prediction anyway. It's not going to be as simple as her running or not running as long as there's money to be made from it. She knows what the poll numbers are, but she'll act like they're not true. A run for the President may not be about winning for her, as falling short could be quite a lucrative thing.

Can't you hear Obama's campaign speech: The last four years have been the best four years in American history. Unemployment is at an all-time best level. Anyone who wants a job can get one. Obamacare has improved the American health care system dramatically. Why, if you don't vote for me, you must be dumber than Sarah Palin, who wouldn't do any of the things I've done!

Well I am glad you got a chuckle Lastskyo, Ironicoldsoul supports a party that would squeeze every last nickle out of an aging Veteran like himself, along with the sick, the poor and all the rest of the real Americans they claim to care about all the while lavishing extra wealth on the already extremely wealthy. They hold up aid for Tornado victims, they threaten the US's credit rating if they don't get their way on a plan their own constituents say they don't want. Finally they insult us by telling us the oil companies need billions in subsidies (to encourage them to stay in the oil business) and that screwing old and sick people is actually quite courageous of them, and we should be grateful for their bravery. But Ironicoldsoul thinks my silly joke was vile and disgusting and that it will taint our children and grandchildren for generations to come.

Ozzie boy, how could you characterized a guy who cannot complete a coherent speech without the use of a teleprompter as intelligent? BO may be a good politician and an expert in rhetoric, but as a leader he is quite possibly more inept than Woodrow Wilson! And Wilson never had a teleprompter to cover up his inability to remember a topic! Trump and Palin could each run circles around Obama in a debate and not get winded. And they aren't even the best the Republicans will have when the time comes.

Obama's record for the last 30 plus months is a hurdle he can not jump over in a reelection bid. How many uniformed voters can Acorn find this time? Not many....

@Really? Seriously?: As I understand it, she can't be paid by networks while she is running for President because it is considered a campaign contribution. And since all Sarah Palin cares about is money and being a political celebrity, she won't run. Her latest publicity stunts are just so she will be relevant (<---- tounge planted firmly in cheek) to get paid to comment about those who do run. I'd personally be just fine not having to listen to her crap ever again.

If America had a big "inflammatory / no value" button to push everytime she spoke, she wouldn't last 5 minutes.

Pizza? I would have thought Palin and Trump would be feeding on the still beating, freshly ripped out hearts of middle class Americans...? Laughing as they chew, and swapping stories about how many millions each is milking from people who can no longer afford to put they're children through college without incurring massive debt... Smiling as they wipe the blood from their mouths, and comment on how much tastier the hearts of the middle class becomes, as it grows closer to extinction...

The death of the American dream comes by not one, but by many assassins in this doomed generation...
And these two soul-less, money whoreing, vampires are counted among them.

The ultimate embarrassment of politics is the rise of this woman. Question: why does one purchase a luxury bus to cruise around the nation in? I thought her upbringing was modest. I guess seven digits in her lifestyle changed her. And, how is it that her kids are always around? Don't they have school to attend?

I thought her photo ops with the foreign heads of state weren't for Christmas cards.

I bet they are planning an independent run so they can CONTROL the message.

Problem is, it is a message no one wants to hear and even RIGHT minded folk are running from.

Both of these charlatans are pretenders to the POTUS. Serious only when the attention begins to wane and then they both jump into view of the nearest camera and start blathering lies into the lens hoping that someone will be thick headed enough not to know they haven't a clue what to do with the mess we call our current economy that was a gift from our last GOP president.

Meet indeed! Dine? They'll need a full stomach to launch their nacent campaign of lies and distraction. Maybe the Trumpster will be backing a Palin campaign in hopes to get the VP slot since he fouled out on his initial presidential outing.

She kept telling Greta that she wasn't going to talk to the mainstream media as she doesn't owe them anything. So Fox is fair & balanced and has the highest ratings of any news program on TV.

So after a 28 minute interview (less commercials) she is basiclly telling Greta that Fox is not mainstream. And they pay her ................. ha.

But Palin was correct about Fox, it's rightstream and yes msnbc is leftstream.

Torpedo, you are exactly right. Don't even know if you are left or right, but I would guess 80% of the publicity these freaks receive is justified because the public feeds on this type of thing. Same as the Charlie Sheen crash show. I keep saying if we all ignored this trash, they just might go away.. but alas, that will never happen.

Unfortunately way too true. Why oh why, do we (the general public) keep giving these twits a reason to be front and center? Why do we watch with such intensity as if we were waiting for the train to wreck? They so deserve each other - but, unfortunately, we deserve what we get because it is apparently what we want. If I never saw or heard Sarah and her entire family, Donald Trump, or serial-cheater Newt again, I would die a happy person. As it is, I watch and cringe and roll my eyes a LOT.

Would never happen. First, no one would pay to hear or see these two in this context.

Second they have nothing of interest or importance to say. Just 24/7 drama to attract attention and make money.

                              Palin/Trump 2012 just won't sell. Period.

I still think they THINK they can win though. Trump's arrogance and Palin's cluelessness is a perfect match to earn Trump his FINAL bankruptcy.

                              Palin/Trump 2012 will not sell.

These manipulators know their audience and it's mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, brain-dead right wing wackos who thrive on lies, ignorance, and bigotry. The fact that the media indulges this bs would be predicted from the Jersey shore, housewives and other dumbing down entertainment. Morons will rule the USA in time.
