These are my fellow Viet Nam veterans who come to Washington by bike every year to pay tribute to the men and woman who died in that conflict and are still missing. It's an annual tradition and one I hope continues. These bikers come from all walks of life and take time out of their weekend to honor our brother and sisters who died. All 58,000 of them.

I am guilty of it as well, but I've been a little absent from this board for a while now. The reason is twofold: 1) Work has gotten busier than . . . well, you know, and 2) I was getting sick of the rancorous repartee going on. I am ashamed to say that I often got sucked into it myself.

What I do find funny are people who claim to have very well paying jobs but have absolutely no spelling, punctuation nor grammatical skills. I am an engineer and actually know some very well paid people (i.e. paid more than I . . . a lot more) who would laugh at the thought of hiring people who do not even know the correct usage of 'then' and 'than', or 'there', 'their' and 'they're'. It is often like reading something an 8th grade dropout wrote, thinking they were being clever and thoughtful.

A lack of grammatical, punctuation and spelling skills, not just the occasional mistake but consistent and repeated mistakes, indicates a lack of intelligence and/or education. Consistent attacks on posters rather than engaging in reasoned debate upon the subject at hand indicates a distinct lack of an informed opinion and intellectual curiosity. In their own minds, these people may make ‘alot’, but they certainly do not make ‘a lot’.

Keep posting, my liberal friends and my intelligent, worthy conservative friends (i.e. those like Frank "Grimey" Grimes, or Exodite Dragon). Remember, we all let our emotions carry us away at times but everyone deserves forgiveness.
