FOX not changing Palin's status at network

A sign that FOX News isn't taking the 2012 Palin story seriously, at least so far -- it isn't suspending her the same way it did for paid contributors Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum when they were mulling presidential bids. FOX later terminated Gingrich's and Santorum's contracts when they jumped into the 2012 race.

“We are not changing Sarah Palin’s status,” said Bill Shine, FOX News' executive vice president for programming, in a statement to NBC News.

No Feisty you are special. You are here all day, every day.

Very dedicated. It does raise an interesting point - do you got anything else?

I imagine your family is totally supportive of the 10-12 hours, plus weekends you spend here.

I'm sure there will be some prize for most posts on First Read. Totally worth it, right old gal?

Spanky- Feisty's time is YOUR businees, W H Y again?

Say- how's those hours you are billing clients for coming along right now? ALL strictly work-related, right?

And- if you want to say "DBO- that's none of YOUR business", I understand. You would be correct, of course.

Easy one DBO,oh champion of Feisty. Because she's the self professed queen of the board. How much time do you spend around here on the weekends and holidays DBO? Poo Feisty - all day, everyday. I bet she as had a continuous presence on this board for YEARS. Fantastic, again, I'm sure there is a prize.

Hours and billings on track for good year, thanks for asking. In fact had a highly productive few days in Sacramento. But again, it seems you fundamentally do not understand my business, or how the money part works.

It's ok, I'm sure we will continue to educate you as time rolls on.

Oh look - almost 3:00, which means you are just about done and I am off to Thursday happy hour. Or as I like to call it "client development. SHHH!

If Fox keeps losing talent it may have to hire someone who actually has talent. Hopefully they'll find someone with a functioning brain and a soul to boot. That way Shep Smith won't be so lonely, poor guy.

Are they allowed to do that or does it violate some wingnut principle? Do wingnuts even have principles?

nisl - so do tell: if no one at Fox has talent how come they do pretty well in the rating/money making areas?

Or it that Maddow/Schultz and O'Donnell are too totally awsome and smart to garner any credible rating?

Oh and where on the talent scale would you pu my many Matthews? I just love that guy.

They do well because they get 100% of the stupid/low information viewers. The rest of the viewers get split between various networks or avoid cable news all together.

Spanky,

That'd be because in some area people can only get Fox.

after 20 years at the station. KMSP, along with KDFW in Dallas-Fort Worth, and KSAZ-TV in Phoenix are the only Fox-owned stations to have a 10 p.m. newscast in the Central and Mountain Time Zones (of the mentioned stations, KMSP and KDFW do not run their 10 p.m. newscast nightly and KMSP is the only one that airs their 10 p.m. newscast on during the weekend, airing it on Sunday nights.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KMSP-TV

The husband of Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth, Matthew Freud, stated--"It is the network inherently unworthy of being a news outlet. It is "mindless vulgarity" in place of genuine journalism.

I thought they had the news read by the hot blondes. I love hot blondes, how about you Greg? I sure wish they'd get some hot blondes on MSNBC.

He's far from an idiot DBO. He makes more in one year than you and I both will make in a lifetime!! He is a paid shill and a well-compensated propagandist for a giant media empire with tentacles spanning continents.

Fox is an immensely sophisticated, disciplined, coordinated, powerful behemoth that has the power to shape perception, history and install presidents and Prime Ministers.

They organize rallies, marshal their troops to focused action, hand out talking points, collect a stable of busty, leggy beauties to purvey their gospel, and they have brought about the fall of ACORN, the resignation of government officials (Shirley something). They don't report the news, they make it.

We here in the "reality-based community" have nothing like it. I think Progressives, about 5-7 years ago are just getting started, but we lag waaaaay behind in scope, method, technique and utter sophistication of message presentation and promulgation.

As stated above, they are so effective that they are a political force, not just a "news" agency. They and the republican party are integrated as one organic mass devoted to the destruction of anything Democratic, to a jihadic level. To them, destroying Democrats isn't just politically expedient,....it is an absolute, all-consuming moral imperative.

In an emotional assault on the Republicans, new Democratic Party Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz today called the GOP agenda "anti-women" and "a war on women" that will backfire on Republicans in the 2012 election and provide a cushion for President Obama's re-election bid.

        Source: http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2011/05/26/new-dnc-boss-calls-gop-anti-women

I guess next Debs will now call MSNBC, a low rated propaganda network she probably appears on quite often, as being "anti-woman" for its hosts calling women they disagree with "sluts".

Debs further commented: "It's just so hard for me to grasp how they could be so anti-women as they are," she said at a breakfast roundtable with reporters.

Debs will be booked on that Ed Schultz show (she have to wait for him to get back from his suspension) to further present and discuss her arguments as to how Republicans are "anti-women". The very Liberal and Democratic Mr. Ed has shown the world he is as pro-women as they come.

Do you think Debs (Schultz) and Eddie (Schultz) are related? Both seem to be complete idiots. Brother and sister perhaps?

Either way, it should be some compelling TV.

Look, I think Sarah Palin is dumber than a 3rd grader who has not made an unscripted comment in months. Regardless of what you think of Fox, her position there is not as a news person. She appears on opinion shows and only on opinion shows. She's there for her opinion (for whatever that's worth) and not a news anchor. She attracts viewers. She increases ratings. Some people would actually vote for her. She has not declared for any office. Chris Matthews has said publicly that he was considering a run for the Senate from Pa. He's still there. It's not about integrity it's about entertainment and ratings. How is this even a topic for discussion except for self promotional reasons by MSNBC.

Of course a ham sandwich could give a more insightful opinion than Palin, and would cost less. I think Olberman was a polarized shill too, but his mistake was not being as well-funded. Canned by the "Liberal" media.

Nope. Not by my standards. So many missed opportunities. Want an example? Fair nuf'. How bout this?

If I were the UAW I would have a string of semi trucks loaded with food, blankets, medical supplies, tents, fuel, baby formula, bottled water,....etc, and I would be trucking it down to Alabama, Missouri, Texas and all of the anti-Union states. I would have the trucks blazoned with"UAW" letters 15 feet tall.

My volunteers would be wearing "The UAW Cares" T-shirts and passing out aid to all of the people that wanted to see the UAW dead and buried during the bankruptcy. I would send experts to help them coordinate damage/insurance claims. I would buy airtime with local media and spread good will, show warm and fuzzy spots depicting the good that Unions can do.

          Propaganda at its best.

But do you see any of this from the UAW? Nope,.....crickets. Ya gotta fight the battle on all fronts, and the UAW just isn't that sophisticated.

You can't spend dues money like that it is illegal (you already know that Spanky), you would have to collect funds separately and voluntarily for that purpose. Every union in my area has been doing incredible charity work since the tornado in Alabama, and the needs have increased greatly with Joplin. These are silly, stupid, uneducated, working stiffs to you Spanky, but understand they are good and kind people, many are working reduced hours and struggle to make ends meet in their own homes but they give what they can. I saw guys who were laid off fill their pickups with donated food and bottled water we passed the hat on a job-site just to come up with the gas money for them to drive to Alabama. These are the people you make sport of, these are "the sad little lives" you mock and are quick to tell us how happy you are not to be like. I had a guy bring me his dead brothers tool pouch (car accident) and said his brother would want them donated to a man who lost his and needed some. These are the people who are stupid and sad enough to take a loan on a car. They have as much respect for people like you Spanky as you do for them - none, however the difference is they would help you if you needed help, they are just stupid that way, isn't that just sad, so so sad.

In comparison to the Fox empire they are mere pretenders.

Impotent by contrast. How many satellites does SEIU own? How many daily personalities do they have in newspaper, magazines, television, radio, cable, HD media?

How many "viewers"? Go ahead Spank,.....chapter and verse.

Sorry my man - was at happy hour.

Uh, UAW rules!. Except they are not in the entertainment business, so no none of that, but how is that relevant? Organized? Yep. Militant in fact.

Greg - live better, work union, right? Oh yeah. But don't fret - if you'd just kick down some more dues I think the good old UAW would just love to get into the Bis.

In fact I do live better Spanks. Comparable Sci. Labs guys on the outside make $10 - $12 / hour less than I do. No pensions. No free medical benefits. No 401 K. No company stock program (which is on its way for me), no vehicle discount, no 3 1/2 weeks of paid vaycay, no paid holidays.

At CTC we have two onsite barbers, a hair salon, worksite massage, two doctor's offices, a post office, a gymnasium with trainers, a pharmacy, a leather/garment repair service, shoe shine service, etc...

Our 4 onsite cafeterias feature Italian, Thai, panini sandwiches, a Sushi chef, hamburgers, deli, pizza, and a full salad bar. Specialty menus include rosemary chicken, or a fennel relish, baby carrots sauted, Indian quisine, Middle Eastern, sea food, you name it.

CTC (Chrysler Tech Center) is the 2nd largest office complex on the planet. I have a small bike to get around there, a cell when I'm on call. I need it as the place is probably 3/4 of a mile on a side.

Yup. Union life is good my man. Any of you in non-RTW states should consider forming or joining one, as Union life is indeed better as Spanks correctly points out.

Okey dokey boss - it's going home time. Gotta go the Wal-Mart and get some supplies for the big Havasu weekend. Hoping for lots and lots of drunken, happy fun!

Good news for us both [I note that all the "profit" Chrysler made was off gas guzzlers - bad, non AL GORE approved Chrysler] gas is down to $3.99 here in Cali, so should be ONLY about $#.50 in Az. Since I'll need about 300 gallons - SUV, boat, jet-skis that a nice little savings. More Sailor Jerry for me!

Dammit Greg, when you all coming out with a hybrid? They are soooo shiny.

                            Spanky:

You call those lakes boy? Where me and Feisty hail from we call those stagnant, fetid puddles ;o]

Yup. Chrysler is makin' moolah again! GM,...like gang busters! Putting another shift on to meet the demand for the Volt. Hamtramyck plant is running 3 shifts 24/7. Adding ANOTHER 4,600 jobs. Salaried positions are posted at www.gm.com if you are interested Spanks. Here is your chance to get a real job and actually work for a living.

Michigan is looking to add another 68,900 jobs this year, and 62,200 positions in 2012 according to an economist for Comerica Bank, N.A. Michigan's unemployment rate dropped again down to 10.3% and continuing to fall. "Michigan appears to be in the early stages of a sustained economic recovery", says George Fulton UofM economist. A little parting gift from Bush, Obama, and our previous DEMOCRATIC governor Jennifer M. Granholm, once voted the 2nd hottest governor according to Playboy magazine.

I am working on some visionary products that will be coming to a state near you Spanky. I will be performing suspension measurements on a prototype vehicle tomorrow morning. Chrysler is aiming squarely at least 40 m.p.g., and I expect we'll hit it, and surpass it. Can't tell you any more than that or I'd have to smoke you,....and you know how good we are at that here in the Murder Capital. ;o]

President Obama is visiting Chrysler's Toledo plant on Friday of next week, and Michigan's Democratic Congressman Gary Peters invited Sen. John McCain to come to the event to see what Democrats (and George Bush) have wrought.

"So that you could see first hand how they were able to prove you wrong."

All in all, a good time to be a non-republican Spanks,...a good time indeed.

                            Hey Libbies,

You just have to be so darn proud of Ed Schultz and his getting suspended . Personally I enjoyed watching him eat dirt above . I think Ed is insane like most of you Lefties,, but he never could touch your boy Keith. Not even close.

I would watch fascinated watching Olberman just gain steam ,, desparately searching for something more and more vile - more hateful-- more rude and ugly beyond imagination. Ed is a pig,, but Keith was truly evil.

You Lefties can hate Fox and Beck and Palin,, but the one thing the Right can say that you cannot,, The Fox crew never , ever ,, and never will,, sink to the sick level of the Heroes of the Left on MSNBC.

Consider yourself dunked and slammed :-)

I can picture you in fishnet stockings wearing a ball gag.

                              BWAHAHAA!!!

Fox is desperately trying to latch on to at least one of the Republican candidates who would come close to the nomination.

FOX makes tons of money because of the lies, hatred, and fear that Palin loves to spread across the USA. It's made her millions, and FOX billions. It's all for the sake of money.

BOYCOT PALIN - STOP GIVING HER MONEY! And then the USA will be a safer place.

Yes America! It is another troubling episode of "Darth Rove." AKA. Karl Rove. This puggy little poltical puke is the GOP/RNC. Master of "Misinformation and Madness." Darth has his red tiled chamber of horrors across from the Boiler Room. Down in the basement of the "Nazi News Network." AKA. FOX News. This episode is titled. "Going Nowhere!"

Scene One opens with Palin storming through the FOX News Room shaking her fist in the air.

"Where is Karl hiding Hannity?" Yelled Palin leaning into Hannity.

"Is our master expecting you?" Asked Hannity. Becoming very pale and pointing to the large steel door at the back of the news room.

Palin yells back to Hannity. "You are a coward Hannity! So Karl has moved his chamber from the Bush Basement in Texas to the basement at FOX News. I should have known! Get out of my way you whimps!"

Scene One ends with Palin marching to the steel door, and runs down the steep stairs to Darth Rove's Chamber.

Scene Two opens with Palin opening the Darth's Chamber Door and slamming it behind her.

"So Karl I heard you do not wanting me to do my bus tour!" Announced Palin pointing at Darth Rove sitting in his chair. Reading his favorite book about Nixon.

"Who let you into my chamber?" Asked Rove. Throwing his book into his pit of fire.

"I let myself in Karl! No one tells me what to do!" Rudely yelled Palin.

"I am the GOP/RNC Master of Madness and Misinformation!" Screamed Rove. Standing up pointing his staff of fire at Palin.

In a very bitchy tone. Palin yells back."I don't care! I am going on my bus tour! Too bad for you Darth Boy!

"No you are not Palin! You are staying right here at FOX so we can keep an eye on you." Ordered Rove. His eyes turning to fire the more he was speaking.

"You can't stop me! My bus is ready! So see you on my tour Karl!" Palin laughs walking quickly towards the chamber door.

Rove ordered. "No! You can't leave! Get back here!" Quickly streams of fire fly over and to the side of Palin.

Scene Two ends with Palin running out of the Chamber, and running up the long steep stairs to the FOX News Room.

Scene Three Opens with Palin walking quickly through the news room with the back of her head on fire.

Hoaky Hannity says to Willy O'Really. "Karl just loves doing that to fellow zombies that do not listen."

Willy O'Really responds. "I think that is so cool. But Karl needs to be careful not to keep setting off the fire alarms."

Mentally drifting off into space. Hannity responds grinning. "That could be the topic of my next show!"

                                THE END!
