Subscribe to RSSOn his radio show this morning, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he would make "a very important announcement" on his FOX News television show Saturday evening. Urging his Twitter followers to "be sure to check my media schedule for today and the weekend," Huckabee fueled speculation he will finally declare whether he intends to run for the Republican presidential nomination.
According to his schedule, Huckabee will appear six times over the next two days on the FOX networks, including spots on tonight's "The O'Reilly Factor" and "Fox and Friends" early tomorrow morning. Huckabee also will host his self-titled news hour Saturday and Sunday evening.
One of Huckabee's top advisers refused to answer directly if the announcement concerned his presidential intentions. Hogan Gidley, director of Huckabee's political action committee, HuckPAC, told the New York Times' Caucus blog that, while Huckabee "doesn't throw around 'I've got a big announcement' lingo in a haphazard fashion," he is not sure what Huckabee will discuss in his appearances on the network.
Huckabee's flurry of appearances comes amid reports Fox News executives were rushing the former governor to announce his intentions for the 2012 campaign. Running for president most likely means Huckabee would have to relinquish his FOX News show and his radio show. Since former speaker of the House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum declared they are running for president, the network suspended their contracts.
*** UPDATE *** Woody Fraser, executive producer of “Huckabee” said in a statement, per the Times:
“Governor Huckabee will announce tomorrow night on his program whether or not he intends to explore a presidential bid. He has not told anyone at FOX News Channel his decision.”
*** UPDATE 2 *** Ed Rollins, Huckabee's 2008 campaign manager organizing his "campaign-in-waiting" this time, says he doesn't think Huckabee's running.

Here is another loser.... there is no person running or thinking of running that is worth anything at all. They're all L O S E R S! And if we vote for them we will be losers too.
I wish someone would step up that truly deserves not only to run but for people to vote for them and to ultimately win. There is no one now. I also believe that due to the corruption and dirty politics and the state of things now, a true public servant would not even consider running.
We have allowed these crooked, deal making jackasses to ruin everything. Democracy? Not here at all and we should fire all of them! Where are the true servants of the public that actually want to better the country FOR ALL OF US and not just for the rich and the companies that bribe them?
It slays me how the left finds everything/anything to belittle an Obama opponent. But no mention whatsoever of who Obama chums with, broken promises, spending faster than anyone in recorded history, and an ideology that everyone will suffer for for the rest of their entitled lives.

The HUCK will NEVER leave all that $$$$$$$ on Fox to run..He wouldn't winanyway,along ith LumpyHair Trump, Newter Gingrich,or any other sorry REPS that might even consider running. Being an Independant voter and a person that will vote for the person that I believe will be an honest, inrelligent, effective President. I do NOT vote fora political party.
Well Max - if Huck gets the nomination you will no doubt be voting for him if you vote for someone that is honest, intelligent and effective. That is everything that the current POTUS is not.
It seems to me that the general sentiment towards the Republican Party has recently turned sharply towards ridicule. Last year they experienced a brief periof of redemption with the arrival of the Tea Party and the public's apparent historical amnesia, but that seems to have run its course and now the Republicans are going back to their core ideals : greed, ignorance, bigotry, and a healthy dose of hypocrisy.
Wishful thinking - the Dems are going into 2012 with the same "??leadership" team of 0bama, Reid and Piglosi that was thrashed in Nov 2010. The arrogance of the 0bama regime will be its downfall - as well as its incompetence and corruption.

Huckabee would be a fool to run. First, he'd have to give up those big bucks from Fox (at least openly). Second, he can't win. The left is already against him. To win the nomination he has to appeal to the Tea Party adherents and, in appealing to them, automatically ensures that the great middle of the electorate will reject him in the general election.
The 2012 election will be a referendum on 0bama and that is not going to be pretty. If the economy continues to be in the toilet and gas is $5 per gallon the Repubs can pretty much run anyone and it will be a landslide GOP win. States like Ohio, PA, NC, VA, FL have turned very Red due to 0bama policies and he can't win without those states.

It might help you get through election day in 2012, when the party of anti-health care for all, anti-low-cost health care for women via Planned Parenthood, anti-rights for women who are raped, anti-tax on the rich, anti-social security, anti-medicare, anti-medicaid and pro-subsidies for big oil companies goes down the crapper.
Anyone remember Michael Dukakis and Willie Horton back in the 1980"s? The same thing will happen to Huckabee. He pardoned a con who came up here to Washington and gunned down 4 cops. I bet the Dems are clapping their hands in glee with this imminent announcement.

Have the coporate masters spoken? It's debateable. Four years ago Huckabee was the ony candidate among the republicans to rail against Wall Street, but his message was garbled andl ost. And by the time the presidential debates rolled around,John McCain had to use precious minutes of tv debate time to defend thewall street bail out. Even at that point, it was not clear about the enormity of what Huckabee was talking about-not until 2 years later did people get it.
And the TEA Partiers still don't. Huckbee also boldly defended immigration-quoting the bible "Remember the alien in the land; you were once one". People were taken aback by that boldlness which was largely uncharactisic of a general man of good will and amiable phrases. HUckabee has a kind of stell in his spine uncommon in candidates.
We will see if this has changed at all. We think it has-money changes people. For the first time in his life Huckabee has some, and he doesn't want to lose it. But poll's are enticing.
The TEa Party Rules! all the demonrats can do is rail against wall street, Wal mart. and Exxon: anything that is delivering a product or service we can afford! Why? they are all Marxists. Wall STreet is nothing but liberal demonrats, so why are they so bad, they are just like the unions, demonrat sycphants. The demorats will eat their young to stay in power. Every President has used a prompter since they were invented. Before that, they used speeches typed out on special large-type typewriters. Before that, they used speeches written out in large letters.

I know there's a lot of we're holier than you are and here's how we want you to live fundamentalist Christians out there that might vote for you but they have other favorites also. And besides, I think it would help more if you cleaned up your own party and took care of the Ensigns and the rest of them before you began preaching to us non Christian sinners out here.
A lot of hype for Huckabee to announce he is not going to run.
The fact that he selected is own show to make the announcement sets the stage for why he will say "not at this time".
He can make his announcement - discuss it for a bit - then move on.
Were he to say he was running...there would no way for the show to go on without being dominated by the discussion of "why he is running".
Think he is a good man....but like many others of the GOP....now will not be the time!
You know, earlier I posted that I didn't think Huckleberry would run this time, but now I'm having second thoughts.
Local news tells me he rented a campaign office space not far from where I live, so I expect he is at least going to announce an exploratory committee in order to solicit some cash.
Not a fan of either party, haven't been since Reagan. Herman Cain has his s##t together but elections are nothing more than a popularity contest where name recognition is required to gain votes from the uninformed masses. But I just don't get it...as of now the Rep party field of candidates is too muddled/cloudy. Speculating and prognosticating is a waste of time until the hodge-podge of candidates weed out the pretenders/circus acts. What I DON'T understand is this; as much damage as Obama has already done, his "connections" with people who are flat out Marxists, his ideology, his flip-flopping, outright lies, blatant reverse racism (and his buddy Holder)...his cronies he's invited into government (Geithner, the Fed's Bernanke...certain DUBIOUS Czars)...his abject disgust for small business,..Obama Care, Libya, ....how can people be so cocksure Obama will be re-elected regardless WHO runs against him? The only answer I can think of is we have a society that has been dumbed-down, fat and lazy, expecting Nanny Government to wipe their ass, spoon feed, and keep that bloated TEAT whipped out for everyone to belly-up too.

If mike huckaberry said that President Obama was born in Kenya, then he KNOWINGLY lied about it for political purposes. So...no need to vote for him. If he didnt know any better, then we DEFINITELY dont need him as president. Palin and pretty boy Trump are still lookin good. oops....they are LIARS too.
Hey...and you democrats. If huckleberry runs, you should get the film of him saying that Obama was born in Kenya and run it day and night on tv. We should show what depth is in the man who is running for the highest office in the land. And you might put a footnote in it for the tea baggers...just in case a tea bagger might see it and believe it all over again.
