Bush's "supporters" are trying to sell the notion that the killing of Usama bin Laden is as much a victory for "W"aterboarding as it is for Obama's diligence............and now "W"aterboy doesn't want to be at ground zero with the man who actually got the job of serving justice on UBL done.

Obama is smarter than his drones at least. He invited the man who declared Bin Ladin's days are number and initiated the policies and programs that have resulted in not only the death of Bin Laden, but thousands of other terrorists.

I agree that this should not be about Bush for one thing, but the way Obama operates, he probably invited Bush so that he could chastise him during the ceremony like he has so many other of his invitees. Does Obama ever stop playing politics????? He is the POS, he should at least rise above that on occasion.

Don't you realize that most experts agree that most of the 9/11 planning and groundwork occurred during Clinton's presidency??????? Clinton had the opportunity to stop Bin Laden and did not take advantage of that opportunity. So I blame Clinton for that much more than Bush. Bush put in place the security measures that have kept us all safe for the past 10 years. Can you not at least give credit were credit is due and the fact that the Bush policies prevented another 9/11 are clear and certain. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of things I don't like about Bush, but be real.

And as far as waterboarding goes, the only thing I have seen is that much of the informaton that permitted us to find Bin Laden was obtained from terrorist detainees but no mention of how we got that information. Even if no waterboarding was used, the mere threat of waterboarding might have loosened the tongues of some. One thing I cannot understand about liberals, do you honestly believe that so many people in the intelligence community believe in waterboarding if it did not work??? I believe that most in our intelligence community are dedicated professionals that do a great job keeping us safe and that they do what works, so why would they pursue this line of interrogation if it did not work??

And I still say that if it were your family that was potentially being saved, many of you high brow liberals would agree.

Watching the "Factor" last night on FOX, you will all be glad to know Mr. Bill has declared that "Jesus would have approved of killing OBL".

This was brought up after one of his guests mentioned that the US cheering in the streets was wrong, and similar to the cheering in other countries on 9-11 (wrong also). Of course Bill thought our cheering death was justified, because OBL is evil, but people who feel we are evil and cheering death to us is horrible.

I crack up when anyone actually denies the division thrown in our faces by the political parties and the media. While MSNBC spouts left propaganda, FOX's "Fair and Balanced" "news" (opinion) does the same for the right.

None of these stations are actual news, they are opinions. I mean come on, when they tell a story, and use the words "Those guys on the left (or riight) are idiots", how is that news and not opinion used to divide?

As far as Bush declining the invitation, who knows, and who really cares?

ursula - bush knows what he did, many of us know what he did and his simple straight forward press release should be more than adequate to show his agreement with the actions taken by obama. Personal appearnces are not required.

While flipping through the tv channels not long ago, I caught bush's interview with oprah and his comments on having no desire to continue political activism. He knew what being potus meant, both the good and the bad. This is obamas time, not bush's. It will be more than enough as all the presidents gather in NYC for the tenth anniversary of 9/11.

Based on obamas recent campaign speeches and trips, I believe that obama is more interested in partisan political capital than unifying America. Perhaps I can be proven wrong based on what obama does going forward. We will just have to see.
