Trump drops five f-bombs in Las Vegas speech

From NBC's Catherine Chomiak
Potential Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump did not hold back in a speech to GOP women's groups in Las Vegas last night. In fact, he used strong expletives five times in his speech to the group.

On his lack of a political background he said, "You know, I've seen the best politicians.  I've known them all. Someone said, 'But Donald, you're running for president, but you don't have any experience in politics.' I mean, I've been dealing with these f***ing politicians all my life."

Switching from domestic to foreign affairs, The Donald came out swinging on relations with China, OPEC and the U.S's role in Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq.

He told the audience if he were president he would impose a tax on imported goods from China. "I'd drop a 25% tax on China and you know, I said to someone it's really the messenger. The messenger is important. I could have one man say, 'We're gonna tax you 25%,'" he said in a meek voice and then continued, "And I could say (to) another, 'Listen you motherf******, we're gonna tax you 25%," he roared across the room.

Addressing the recent rise in gas prices, Trump blamed the current leadership for not standing up to OPEC. "A couple of days ago, Saudi Arabia said, 'Aww, let's raise the price, let's cut back production.' Can you believe it? You're gonna be paying $5 and $6 for gasoline pretty soon. And they want to go in and raise the price of oil, because we have nobody in Washington that sits back and says 'You're not gonna raise that f***ing price, you understand me?'"

Speaking about U.S involvement in Libya, Trump said "I'm interested in Libya if we keep the oil, and everyone said, ‘Oh,’ and some of the press said, ‘Oh my god that's a sovereign nation.’ Give me a f***ing break."

On the wars in the Middle East: "We go to Afghanistan, we go to Iraq, we build a school, we build a road, they blow up the road, they blow them up, we build them again, in the meantime, we can't get a f***ing school built in Brooklyn."

Trump reiterated, what he has said before, that he will announce his intentions before June, but not until this season of NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" is over. The finale is set to air May 22. He told one supporter in the audience who was urging him to run that he would make her "very happy" when the time came.

Trump's visit to Nevada, an early caucus state, comes right after a swing by New Hampshire, the first-in-the-nation primary state.

NBC's Jordan Frasier contributed to this story.

Hahahahaha - too funny !

I don't think businessmen/women make good politicians at all. CEO, etc are used to making things "their way or the highway", they don't understand that if they were President or Governor, most of the senators will have longer careers in the Senate then they will have as President or Governor.

Look at John McCain for example. He will be in the Senate long after Obama has come and gone. he knows and it plans for it. The "My way or the highway" speech doesn't work and CEO would have a hard time translating this in their mind.

Does Trump understand that he wouldn't be able to say "You're fired!!" to anyone of consequence?

Alan, consider that they built a prison - complete - in NH and it's sitting there empty due to budget cuts. They can't afford to open it - go fig! So even if we could build schools in Brooklyn, we likely wouldn't be able to staff them.

I guess old f-bomb Donald forgot that it's HIS GOP that "starves the beast"--cuts education funding and that includes schools in Brooklyn--but embraces war debt as patriotic.

Alan, for Trump it's just a slogan - that's all. If the GOP were serious about education in the US, they wouldn't be slashing those budgets so fast and furiously. Instead, they'd be INVESTING in education like President Obama recommends. Would Trump cut military spending to fund education?

1. It's highly amusing;

2. He is in control of the narrative and many others will pick up in his points on China, the wars, and oil; and

3. There is no way the media, and particularly MSNBC can help themselves.

Just like the bither story - Msnbc covered more than CNN, and both covered it more than Fox. Good news is all morning all we got was steady wedding coverage, which shortly will shift into prison cell love triangles and predators.

God I love MSNBC. Now if Contessa would just show a little more cleavage, and Schultz and little less.

It's all sleight-of-hand, Spanky...

Let them rip Trump to shreds.

He poses no threat to President Obama's re-election...he never has.

The real threat to President Obama is President Obama.

His policies and the resulting outcome of those policies are President Obama's real problem.

Trump is merely an annoyance and a sideshow.

President Obama is right about that, if nothing else.

I agree Mixed - Obama is Obama's worst enemy.

But even a carnival barker like Trump can focus the electorate's attention on specific deficiencies with Obama, like Oil and environmental policies, and especially the war stuff.

The whole building the same school over and over in Afghanistan, but none in Brooklyn is gold, particulary in light of the Libya mis-adventure.

But hey, either gas hits $5.00 or not. That's the real focus.

Take the quagmire Bush started in Iraq and there are 4,450 American dead. Take into consideration that Ghadafy promised to kill ALL the rebels and is still trying. Take into consideration that accidents happen in war, especially in close quarter fights and this is just inevitable. Called friendly fire. On a serious note Libya would already be over and rebels would have zero chance to liberate themselves. You do know what we chant here "freedom isnt free" this is mostly a conservative montra well it's costing the rebels. First of all, and perhaps most importantly, the Chinese yuan is not even convertible — it’s not even a hard currency, you can’t take it out of the country, it’s not accepted as legal tender anywhere in the world except for mainland China. Second, as manipulated as the Japanese yen is, the Chinese yuan is even more so. In the past three years, the Chinese have printed the equivalent of $5 trillion U.S. dollars in Chinese yuan in order to maintain their subsidized credit system. Without this they wouldn’t be able to maintain the loan structure — subsidized loan structure — that keeps their entire export economy going. Third, the currency policy is a peg to the U.S. dollar, so the Chinese have zero currency risk. They know that the Americans will buy at X price, so they maintain the rate right there. Should the yuan fully float, all of a sudden it would be rising and falling with various trade balances. That means that the Chinese exporters would no longer have reliability in their trade negotiations — they wouldn’t be able to guaranteed pricing — and that would probably drive a great many of them out of business right off the bat. You make the yuan the global currency and all of a sudden the Chinese currency is volatile because of its connections to the oil and the corn markets, for example, and you’re going to be dealing with mass bankruptcies across the entire Chinese industrial base. Shortly after that, you will have mass unemployment and the social instability that the Chinese government has always feared. Fourth, they know that the real power in the system comes from the consumer, not the producer, and so long as the Chinese economy is one of exporters and not importers, they can’t stomach the burden of the global currency. They need to stay linked to a much larger system, and for the foreseeable future that system is going to be the American one.

At our current median income levels consumers in the US can't live without those cheap Chinese products. On the other hand should the Chinese push their hand too far their own economy collapses with ours.

Graduates choosing public service jobs over those of the private sector deserve our admiration. But their choice is usually made because of their lack of ability to manage even a small convenience store. To correct this imbalance applicants for government jobs should have at least one years experience running a small business. Letting the mentally challenged work the counter of a fast food restaurant rather than servicing public sector needs makes good business sense.

          Reply#10 - Fri Apr 29, 2011 4:10 PM EDT

Sorry, that might sound good but isn't realistic. You want the head of the CIA to run a Casey's for a year? Or a school teacher to run a pizza place? Running a business doesn't guarantee anything. Donald Trump went bankrupt multiple times--how's that for running a successful business? A lot of businesses fail within the first year.

Republicans in the Senate will beforced to Vote with their Republican Counterparts in The House to Officially "End Medicare" or Vote against the Bill. Sen. Reid also promised to hold a Vote On Taking Away the $40 Billion in Subsidies in Taxpayer Dollars that we give to the Big Oil Companies every year. Spanky - I don't agree with anything he says...I just think using the F-bomb gets attention!!!

It seemed to have worked for him...and some things he said lifted an eyebrow ... but then you have to consider the source and then do your own research.

Hard to trust the GOP/TP... because they always have a hidden agenda.

              TRUTH - not CRAP

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA

Yes, Democrat Soldier, they've had a hidden agenda for 30 years; slowly chipping away at it. But this year, they over-reached and went for the whole enchilada with their union busting and now Paul Ryan's budget to kill medicare and cut taxes for the rich even more. The Emperor has no clothes.

Soldier - do you trust the Democrats?

Do you find it appropriate to trust any political party or really any politician?

I certainly don't trust any of them.

And Jody, is not the "Emperor" not Obama? Did he not just cut taxes for the rich? Was he wrong to do so? He said it was necessary because of the recession. Was that just stupid?

And now the Mass. congress is "union busting." Are they over-reaching?

Whose agenda is it you are against here Jody?

Now I bet you can't answer and that's fine, but consider closely exactly what you are for and who you are against.

I still don't understand why the media keeps Trump in the limelight. Most of the MSM is for President Obama and everytime they give Trump a forum he hurts President Obama because he forces him to answer and put himself on the record with his answers. All of you democrats say it is funny but the big picture is that Trump is attacking President Obama and he has to respond or risk his poll numbers dropping. No one thinks Trump can win the Presidency (although no one thought Obama could win over Hillary so I guess anything is possible in the USA). No one sane that is. When the real campaigns begin Trump won't be there but all his responses to Trump will be.

Jody, I may be wrong on this but isn't New York also trying to bust the unions and they have Gov Cuomo a democrat because they are going broke. I know in California the head of the teachers union David Sanchez wants Gov Brown to raise taxes on everyone because of the massive teacher layoffs throughout the state bypassing the voters on a referendum because as Sanchez put it, the voters would vote against a tax increase and a big tax increase would allow him the funding for more teachers and more power. Problem is Gov Brown could find himself in trouble with the electorate if he does.

Spanky you are right I don't trust any politician, because they are out to get reelected and not to help anyone unless it furthers their position.

Anna Molly we had a discussion a few nights ago about hill/thomas, one I found interesting, obviously we differ a bit, however I don't know if you received my own personal apology for a comment I said, it was not meant for you, I was actually texting my brother at the time and it was meant for him. Sorry.

Feisty, the other day you and mike in portland called me a liar and you personally attacked my daughter for no reason. If you had read what I said you would understand that therewas no lie at all. Your comment about my daughter (almost pregnant) was uncalled for. What would you have said if the situation was reversed and I had done that to your daughter or Obamas daughters you would have outraged, yet you casually do it to someone else. You are one classless person. Attack me or my point of view but leave my daughter out especially since she was only there for her political science class. BTW her assessment of both events received an "A" in her class.

                Jody,

What about California? The unions are in the driver seat and Jerry Brown is their puppet. Don't you think that the unions out here, has over reached?

We got the governor going up and down the state trying to get tax extensions on a ballot. The problem is he not talking to us , he is only talking to union members, PTA members and Students. So who does he represent?

This is way I am against public employees unions. To much control.

Come on, don't be afraid, several very good points have been raised and directed at you. you now need to respond.

You can respond, can't you Jody? We all, as you can see, would just love to hear what you have to say in response.

Donal Trump is nothing more than an ignorant SOB! He lost at this thing with Obama's birthcertificate and I am sure that is just eating at him. Trump will say he is never wrong. I would never vote for him for President. He thinks he would go in and act in the White House as he does in his business. In his business he may be able to talk to anyone as he sees fit and he may be able to fire whoever he wants. Sorry, it doesn't work like this in the White House. And you are not going to get away with calling everyone stupid! Trump may have more money than the average person, but I don't think I would trade places with him if it meant I would turn in to a SOB. I have no respect at all for that man. He is a loser!!! Should he run for President and win, I may need to move to Canada. It would be scary having him run our Country.

Mr Trump should have the Trump line of merchandise made here in the USA instead of China.

That would be a good first step toward creating jobs here in the US, rather than China.

Our government sets back and lets the world screw us over in everything. But we have to be the world police and help everyone. You know what screw China, screw Japan, screw Iraq, screw Afghanistan. Worry about our own selves. But that will never happen seeing how 99% of the people in this forum just looooove Mr. Obama. He isn't my president and never will be. And before you idiots pull the race card go screw yourselves. It isn't because he is black but all the blacks want to say that because their minds are in the 19th century still. GET OVER IT.

UPDATE - It's now been revealed that the CHUMP had 5 deferments to the Viet Nam war!

Who would of ever thought someone could beat the 'Dicks' record?

                    _____________________________

Isn't it time someone in the MSM starts connecting the dots here?

Appears the comb over carnival barker, has also dabbled in discrimination!

Every time Donald CHUMP blows his birther whistle more & more Racists fall out of the closet:

In an episode early in Donald Trump's career, his New York real estate company was sued by the federal government for discriminating against potential black renters. After a lengthy legal battle, it ultimately agreed to wide-ranging steps to offer rentals to nonwhites.

The little-remembered case provides crucial context for the current discussion centering on Trump and race. The celebrity businessman made news last month when he declared, "I have a great relationship with the blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the blacks."

He has recently come under fire for attacks on President Obama that critics have described as racially tinged. CBS anchor Bob Schieffer, for example, said Wednesday there is "an ugly strain of racism" in Trump's recent (baseless) accusations that President Obama should not have been admitted to Columbia. Also yesterday, Trump told a black reporter, unprompted, "Look I know you are a big Obama fan."

                    But WAIT! That's NOT all:

While Donald Trump's team of gumshoes are now travelling the globe trying to find evidence of how President Obama got into Harvard Law School even though he is one of the blacks, it turns out his very own son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is one of those rich types who sneak their way into the Ivy League despite being a poor student that Trump suddenly despises so much. Kushner's father bought the slot for $2.5 million; later, this nice dad went to prison for tax evasion.

                    http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBkQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwonkette.com%2F444243%2Fdonald-trumps-son-in-law-is-guy-who-bought-his-way-into-harvard-not&ei=Lfi5TdCLNIXi0QHw8Kz5Dw&usg=AFQjCNFZFHa_NL7jHjq_hR6mgGakUGJQvw

Anyone know when the CHUMP will be releasing his personal finances? After all, he IS a 'man' of integrity, isn't he?

                    Oh NEVERMIND! Guess NOT!

Donald Trump may have persuaded President Obama to disclose a copy of his official birth certificate, but the potential Republican presidential candidate is telling supporters and opponents they will have to wait until he discloses his personal finances.

Mr. Trump said Wednesday evening that he'll disclose them "at the appropriate time," implying that may not be until he announces his intention to seek the presidency. "As you know, if I announce [a presidential bid], I will have to release very detailed information about my wealth," Mr. Trump said on CNN.

                      Trump:

..."America is not a great country"...

...has a clothing line made in China...

...bankrupted two companies, but is proud of the fact that he only lost other people's money, not his...that he "used" the bankruptcy system...and is doing it again for a 3rd time...

...he inherited his money from his daddy, and has lost most of it...Fortune magazine pegged Donald's net worth at $2.7 billion, but Donald can't seem to make his mind up whether he is worth $2 billion or $6 billion, and one figure has his worth at a measly $150 million to $250 million...

Never having followed Mr. Trump through the years, perhaps his behavior has always been like this. But on the other hand, perhaps someone close to him, someone he trusts, should try to get him to see his doctor. A lot of this behavior is similar to what happens after people have heart surgery or when they begin to go senile -- the lack of a social "filter" to modify acceptable statements or profanity, the seeming unawareness of how the behavior is received, the need for adulation and response when "egged on." He has visibly gotten more and more angry over the last week or so. If he's always been like this, I guess that's who he is, but if not, he may have some hardening of the arteries.
