VIDEO: Trump ignores Obama birth certificate

When presented with President Obama’s long-form birth certificate by a NBC News producer Shawna Thomas, Donald Trump ignored it, and instead reverted to a stock talking point about how he’s proud to have pushed Obama to release it.

The video was shot by an NBC News crew and edited by Domenico Montanaro.

This is beyond ridiculous!

I cannot believe that with everything going on in the world today - the MSM is giving this freak a microphone!

President Obama will NEVER convince these birther nitwits otherwise!

I've said many times that the President could cure cancer and the bigots & haters still would't given him proper credit!

I can ONLY imagine what the rest of the world thinks of us & this nonsense! *shakes head*

Donald Trump is now Donald Chump. He now claims to be a hero when in fact he is a jerk. Since his birther issue has been totally destroyed by "Our President" he is now back on another racist rant that President Obama did not go to Columbia or Harvard based on his academic record. This is code trying to plant the idea of affirmative action played a role in his being accepted at the colleges/universities.

This man is a joke and I wonder if President Obama just waiting until he fed enough rope to the GOP/TP so that they could hang themselves. Could be, President Obama is a pretty smart man.

I an event I just loved it that now that the report is out, he will not even look at it. Major Hypocrite.

Commenting on his birth certificate, Obama said: “We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do. I’ve got better stuff to do,”

Immediately after which, Obama flew to Chicago to appear on one of the final episodes of "The Oprah Winfrey Show”.

Silly is as silly does.

[After appearing with Opray Winfrey] The president's day of politicking was continuing later Wednesday in New York City with his first fundraising sweep of the city since he announced his re-election bid this month.

It’s comforting to know this “birth certificate silliness” hasn’t gotten in the way of President Obama doing The People’s Work.

Wow; the pretzel logic just never fails to amaze! Conservative & Liberal media outlets have kept reporting this issue, because people no matter how much proof was provided kept questioning it for their own self promotion and diversion from real substantive issues, which whether we like it or not is news. Ignorance of this magnetitude does gather ink and from both sides, but I guess that would be more fact that would just get in the way of this name calling blather.

Donald take a little pride in explaining why you and yours are being sued.

Radar Online has documents that show a new lawsuits has recently been filed by seven investors in the project. The individuals sued not just Donald Trump but his children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump and others saying they were " duped into buying hotel-condominium units that were never built." The plaintiffs have asked for punitive damages of no less than $10 million dollars.

Better yet explain to US how you intend to keep America from being a colony to China since you default on practically every business venture.

How will you explain the way your multiple bankruptcies will effect America.

What's your plan? Is it to stop importing hair plugs from China?

It is just so sad that in this day and age it was necessary for a private certificate to be forced to be shown in order to satisfy such a multitude of moronic ignorants. The powers that be have had access to that document since he first ran for President yet the conspiracy theorists(retards) just refuse to let the issue die! What is even more sad is that there are still millions of right wing wackos that will never be convinced because they are so brainwashed by the words of libelists like Limbaugh that they cannot see the light. I am not sure what is worse, religious extremists or political extremists. This country will fall from greatness due to the latter, and I will be here to help destroy them with force if necessary. If our founding fathers could see us now, they would gag at the sight of such petty bull@!$%# which ties up our legal and social networks and makes us the laughing stock of the world on such topics. Get your heads out of your proverbial @!$%#s people and get an effing grip. Take responsibility for your own actions instead of just pointing blind fingers at others. Take a lesson from your grandfathers and man up. Otherwise YOU are the problem, not the idiots in Washington.

I just love how some people are saying they care so much about the issues and now we can move on. I'm pretty sure all the birthers(crazy and/or racist people) were just hoping it turned out not to be true. I was just on FOX's website and this person said that he was a ignorant n-word and that didnt change due to the fact that he was born here. You cant win with you people only because it was never about the so called issues or his citizenship. Get over your prejudices. And if you arent prejudice you need to get a new brain. Some people are now claiming that the long version is a fake made from photoshop. Wow I'm scared for the country not because of Obama but because of the crazy people we have living here.

I think Donald's BSing everyone. It seems like hes trying to pander to the far right. And Obama really shouldn't need or shouldn't have shown the birth cirtificte. As I've said before, these people could have been present and have seen Obamas birth in person and still wouldn't think hes American. Theres really no point in Obama addressing these birthers. I think that the Conservatives really could bring up more valid points about issues that actually matter than this. Eg: The economy, taxes, climate change, forgien policy, ect.

And even though I don't like thinking of myself of a democrat, but things like this make me more likely to support Obama. Both the democrats and republicans have many of the same negative qualities but the most vocal conservatives tend to be the ones who are most dogmatic and duelistic. So for me the next presidental election is like voting to have diabetes (Obama/Democratic Party) or Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome (current GOP presidental canadates/Almost all of the GOP).

It never changes, Donald Chump is a racist by his own remarks and innuendo and when called on it we are the racists. They always complain about what it is that they do trying to make it look like the other side is the guilty party. Sorry, that BS will no longer fly. DC said in no uncertain terms that President Obama did not get into those schools based on his merit implying that he got in under affirmative action. He even used those words before "affirmative action". Hypocrite, liar and racist is what DC looks like and I do not care if he gives all his donations to the democrats it does not change his character flaws one bit.

Republicans are such wussies lately, they tolerate being humilitated by their own ridiculus canadates. When will Boehner or McConnel or anybody in the republican party grow a set and set these people straight. We should sue Trump for wasting our time. And after all of his complaining and demanding, he won't even look at it?

And JoAnna, Obama is the President. Of all the people. Including Oprah. If he chooses to appear on one of the last episodes of her very popular and widely watched show, it is his right. As for campaigning, many of the Republicans and Independents professing interest in the Presidency aren't missing any opportunities to campaign and appear at events. Equal time is fair play.

1st off Trump doesn't need to run, he's not any worse than the rest who have been in. He'd be smart to keep his tax forms and mouth quiet. Secondly, people aren't picking on Obama because he's black, they are picking on him because he has been in OVER 3 years now, and hasn't made ANY "change", unless, of course, you count doing absolutely nothing. Yeah. okay, there's "change" (something different), lets do absolutely nothing but spend our payers tax dollars!! Give his wife a $5,000/ mo. clothing spending spree. That's absurd. Donald, keep your $ and friends by staying out of politics. Obama, you and your wife have our economy in the worst shape it's EVER been. Everyone says "give him time," Other Presidents have made things (noticeable changes within the 1st year of being in. Next thing you know these a*#holes will say; "Obama didn't have enough time, so let's re-elect him." Guess what folks ....WRONG!! I say put a woman in, and watch things straighten out (real darn quick). But that's too intimidating for people (especially men) to grasp. Mark my words a WOMAN President WILL make a difference, in a loving, positive way that's good for everybody, THAT, my friend, scares the crap out of people (ESPECIALLY MEN). Well, mark my words, if it ever happens for a woman to be Prez. the world will say, "why did we hesitate for sooooo long?" There are many GREAT females, who made wonderful leaders. A monkey could do a better job than Obama (blindfolded)...LOL!!

I am a white lifelong republican and grew up in a small town in Texas in the 50's. The "colored" people lived south of the tracks and had separate schools, water fountains, bathrooms and entries. They had to know "their place", you know, the "good old days" as some would say. I have seen racism all of my life and have been guilty of it myself. Having said all of that, I "know racism when I see it"! Ever since the President took office, certain people (you know who you are) have done everything they could to discredit and/or harm President Obama, even to the extent of doing great damage to this country. After watching this s7!t for over two years and seeing the effects on our economy, it became clear to me that what the Tea Party, the "birthers" and a lot of republicans are really afraid of is that Obama may take after his fathers side of the family and have larger private parts than they do! Get over it and let's move on and work together to fix our country. Anything less will amount to treason.

Really Steve? Are you sure of that? What you should do is whip it out and place it on the table. If pushed far enough and long enough, Obama might meet you there and show you his. Then you will know who is bigger and maybe, just maybe, you will move along and help to fix the problems of our country. Or maybe you are a traitor and would have this country fail instead of living with a black man in the Whitehouse.

Steve - I'm a white woman who was born in the South, - North Carolina and let me say that you are indeed racist. You don't see the man in the White House. You see a black family and you can't stand it. President Obama has done a very good job with what he walked in to. The mess left by Bush cannnot be fixed in the slightly over 2 years Obama has been President. And, I cringe to think how bad this country would be if McCain/Palin had been elected. We would be in so much worse shape.

You need to really look inside and figure out why you hate blacks so much. It is disgusting and shows a total lack of intelligence. This President is smart and savy. But, Republicans have blocked everything he has tried to do - including a tax break for companies that would bring jobs back to the US from China and India. So sad that the GOP is willing to sell our country out just to make sure he fails. Pathetic.

The Republican's, Birthers, etc. cannot stand that a BI-RACIAL MAN (BLACK MAN evidently his mother doesn't count in their pea brains) is residing at the White House, they think the White House was named for White People Only - NO SUCH LUCK!!! Get over it people he is there and he's handling all your CRAP gracefully.

Is he there legally though? I think that was the real topic, not bashing people with the race card. That is why Trump asked for the certificate so many years ago, and got a certification and a pile of misdirection. And what a thread too. Oh well. Go look at the paste up birth certificate the real world took apart, then come back and call people racists for wondering if Obama is in the Whitehouse illegally.

This was the best part of this whole rediculous thread! I loved that quick wit! So refreshing in the nightmare of issues revolving around electing this man as the President of the United States.

If only we as a people could be truly united and stand behind our President, stand up for our nation, stand in dignity before the world and be the shining light of Democracy that so many nations in the world are melting down; even laying down their lives, to obtain.

I'm black. My mother told me if I didn't vote for Mr. Obama, not to come home... I'm Republican. I have never been more disgusted with the direction the party has taken since this man has become our Prresident... I'm a Marine. Black, White or speckled, he is my Commander in Chief, I will defend the constitution of the United States and carry out his orders. I'm a Christian. I do believe that, good or bad, like it or not, my faith teaches me that God the Father establishes who sits in seats such as the one President Obama sits in at the Oval office.

If anything Mr. Obama has shown reserved dignity even when he and his family have been called everything from the monkey man to worse... I'm proud of my President, whether I voted for him or not. Take a lesson from the Marine Corps, we are all together as one in the fight. We arrive together, we fight together, and if one of us falls down, the rest of us work together to make sure no one is left behind... In the end, we all spill the same color blood, even if our skin said some different.

Robert DeNiro. Jerry Seinfeld. Norman Rockwell. Walt Whitman. Humphrey Bogart. Jerome Kern. Irving Berlin. Theodore Roosevelt. Edith Wharton. Washington Irving. George Gershwin. And of course, Greta Garbo.

740 Park Avenue is a luxury apartment building on Park Avenue in Manhattan, which has been the home to many wealthy and famous residents. The building also carries the address 71 East 71st Street. The builder was James T. Lee, grandfather of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

740 Park Avenue is the most famous building in New York. It is the most sought after address for anyone who is anyone. Yet we hardly know about it. I don’t believe people are aware that Jackie’s grandfather was the builder. That’s class.

Donald Trump. I guess money just can’t buy you class. He’s living proof of it. And I thought the media would be a little more sophisticated than it is.

Too bad he's from NY. He gives this great city and its citizens a really bad name.

We need to get on with the real stuff. Trump says he is a good business man ( Just look and read how many times he has filed bankrupt on his own businesses. and the tax payers pick up that tab.

I agree with the Marine. Repect our President, we have had better and we have had worse. This is what America is all about..

The Dems and Obama have used the "Birther" issue because they can't stand on their "tax and spend" issues. If they tell the truth about "tax and Spend", they LOSE. They would rather call everyone who disagrees with them a RACIST. Unfortunately for them, that won't work either.

Donald Chump has proved what he is period. If you can defend him if you want, that is your right, but it tells us something about you as well.

Did you see the video where he would not look at the long form. Why, because he knew what it was going to say, he never sent any investigators to HI, the last documented ones where over 2 years ago when this first started and they were not employees of DC.

The fact that he knew makes him a very dangerous man in that he sees that the end justifies the means. This is not good. He is not going to get elected anyway even if he does run. If he does run he will have to expose his financials and I do not think he wants to do that. Everything he did will become an open book.

Webster now is planning to put Trump's picture next to the word, " Buffoon". If this classless, racist, self-promoter had not been given an empire by his father, one that he has tried to demolish several times through bankruptcy, he actually would be a barker in the circus. Apologies to the barkers!

mary - if you want to know the truth about Obama's promises, go to politifact and check out their Obama-meter. It tells the exact status of his promises. How many he has kept, how many he has broken, how many are stalemated and how many are in progress. That is, if you really care to know the truth.

A Certificate of Live Birth is an official document of the State of Hawaii, you fool. It was published before he ran for President. Racists like yourself weren't satisfied because it didn't meet your agenda. Now that he has dispelled all the rumors fueled by the likes of Donald the Buffoon, are you going to scrutinize the birth certificate itself. Send in Meatloaf or Gary Bussey; they will surely uncover the ongoing fraud.

He had to get a special dispensation from the State of Hawaii to do it, and he has more important things to do. He finally did it because, you guys have made it the main story, when there are so many other things that should be in the headlines. And now look, 38% of you STILL don't believe it. What is your rationale now? How do you suppose he pulled it off?

Actually he did make public the short form a long time ago. They both contain the same important information. This was just another stall by the right to get us off message about jobs, the economy etc. Next is his school records then comes his immunization records, etc, etc.

What he produced in 2007/2008 is an official Certificate of Live Birth which is what Hawaii provides to anyone asking for their birth certificate. Like every state, the original of the birth certificate remains in the state archives for any birth. Obama's personal lawyer had to petition Hawaii to provide an official copy of the original birth certidficate just released. Thus issue was settled by 2008 and onlt the crazy birthers refused to accept the obvious for racist reasons.

I agree... I hate racist churches and you would think after the Rev. Wright story Obama or his staff would vet the pastor out before going. I think it's more of obama and his staff's incompetence than obama being a racist himself.

Rob -- where were you Sunday? Who led your services? Are you 100% sure that they are or aren't racist? Ministers, priests, rabbis, etc., are often provocative in order to shake up the complacency of their congregation. What would it take for you to leave one place of worship and find another -- how long would it take for you to thoroughly scope out the new head of the congregation and how would you do it without attending services. Why do you accept the word of Sean Hannity that the pastor is racist? Has it ever occured to you that Sean Hannity is just as racist in his own way?

Jeff - go ahead and defend Wright and Smith. If you agree with them fine. Racist stick together. This new reverend story was breaking news -- today was a great day for the birth certificate diversion announcement.

I'm not defending Wright or Smith, what i am defending are the good people who belong to that church, the hard working south siders that built that church, the work that church does for the community you have never been through, and would never to go in. the drug Connors they helped get rid of, the corner liquor stores they made close down because they were selling drug paraphernalia, liquor to underage kids, the zoning laws they helped change that limited liquor stores in that community, the teens they help keep safe off the street with after school programs not funded by the government, that church is right next to a CHA development they helped to clean up. the media does not want people like you to know this because its does not sell papers.

All you know is what the media tell you, and wants you to know, things i mentioned are things you don't give a sh*t about, for you its about what you see on the surface not what has been done, but after all the church is in a black hood and that all you need to form you opinion based upon what the media tell you,

thats sad, i feel sorry for you.

The roman cathlioc church knew the german were killing jews in mass and did not do sh*t, i did not see the cathlioc church here in america comment on what was happening, they stood by and let it happen.

Hmm, Given the right circumstance I think any race can be equally racist.

Your right, but whites have taken racism to new heights.

I've not questioned whether he was a citizen and think Trump is a Chump for wasting our time but the fact is, I couldn't vote for Obama if I got paid for it due to his ridiculous policies and decisions. I guess if the political process had come to Trump and Obama I'd have to abstain from voting completely and write off the whole political process due to the types of people that run.

Well quite a few candidates lost credibility on this one. Gov. Romney should not have attacked President Obama for releasing the information after the non-stop campaign of other Repubicans to have it done. Speaker Newt Gingrich can accept many things on faith (so he says) but couldn't accept the state of Hawaii's acknowledgment and documents regarding the President's place of birth. Sarah Palin and Donald Trump have fallen off the deep end, picking up every unattributed smear and peddling it as truth. Gov. Pawlenty has a mean streak of his own...."I take the President at his word...but what planet is he from?" Gov. Haley Barbour saw the writing on the wall -- there is no way he would have withstood the fact checking on his own past, and I imagine a few other potential candidates will withdraw for the same reason.

I know it's all trump all the time with msnbc but why not cover the death of 6 GI's yesterday in Afghanistan. You know the war that Obama voted for and since being president sent 30,000 more troops into. So now in the past two years in afghanistan more troops have died there under Obama than under Bush during all seven of his years.

                                      What's up with that?

I am Glad Trump finally got Obama to show the Nation he has the legal right to be President. It seems to me he should have released it PRIOR to running the f$#% country!! But I still question if its real. And for those who wanna say its racists cuz i know you will, its not, its just FACT! You have to be a US citizen and must be able to prove your citizenship. So why did he waste all of our time over the past 2 or so years by refusing to produce A birth certificate.. I will be glad when we can get someone to LEAD our country again. 4 years of no leadership has really broght this nation to great disarray and major unrecoverable financial stress.. which was not from Bush, 2 months after our current pres took office he spent 1 trillion dollars,,,, how many trillions more are we up to now?! hmm...

Oh Gothic poet -- the President DID provide a birth certificate -- the same one he used for his US passport, the same one that has been on-line for three years now. But ye of little faith didn't want to believe an official document from the state of Hawaii so you followed every rabbit down its hole in search of some other way to delegitimize the president. Now, tell us, which of the other candidates postulating a run for the Presidency in 2012 are US citizens, natural born in the US, and tell us where to find that proof.

The President showed this document to news outlets 2 years ago!!! Where have you and the other birthers been for two freaking years.

How does a moron like you function in this world? No other candidate ever was required to produce his birth certicate but the first black man to run for office. What a coincidence! Your time was wasted by your unquenchable blood thirst founded on rumors perpetrated by the likes of Michelle Bachmann who actually thought that John Q. Adams was a founding father, you know the same founding fathers who she contends tried to do away with slavery, despite that they all owned slaves.

You question if the birth certificate is real? It's a wonder you can formulate a question.

really Moron, bc when he was running for office he provided his short form b.c to the people he needed to therefore making him eligble to run for office

666gothic, it wouldn't matter when or how often Obama provide you or any of the birthers with proof of his place and time of birth. You aren't going to believe anything which contradicts your racist views.

666gothic, so by your refusal of the first birth record produced to be proof of the President's birth/citizenship, I would guess that all the millions passports & drivers licenses that have been issued with "Certificate of Live Birth" as proof of birth/citizenship should now be deemed fakes, right? WOW what a mess that will be.

BTW, our President is Black, he won, get over it !
