All I can say is WOW! You can only imagine how I felt when I received THIS phone call:

“FEISTY” PROGRESSIVE BLOG JOUSTER TO GET FIRST FAMILY’S PERSONAL VISIT THIS WEEKEND!

WASHINGTON, D.C., Thurs, April 1, 2011 (Illusory News Service) – A spice-tongued liberal news blogger known for her barbed Internet defense of President Barack Obama has been told to expect a First Family visit to deliver the President’s appreciation.

Known only by her screen name on MSNBC’s “Newsvine” discussion blog, Chicago-area “Feisty Redhead – Roselle, Il” will host a private family drop-by at her home during a Presidential trip soon to the Chicago area. Sources say it will be coffee, cakes and conversation with the President, First Lady Michelle Obama, and their two daughters.

White House sources said that the private meeting allows the blogger, who had also volunteered more than 1,000 hours during the 2008 presidential campaign, to keep her identity a secret. “No press, no cameras, just as simple and low-key as any Presidential meeting is possible to be,” it was reported. Time of the “personal visit to express the First Family’s gratitude for spirited defense against malicious right-wing attacks” will not be made public.

“For too long, Americans who admire and respect this President have kept quiet as prominent right-wing propagandists such as Rep. Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich and Donald Trump spit out a steady stream of lies, misinformation, and outright libels against the leader of our country and his family,” posted “Feisty” in a message.

“And there are so many trolls in the blogosphere who take their leads and talking points from such spokespersons, as well as from the vituperations claiming to be ‘news and commentary’ aired on Fox News and the programs of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity,” she continued. “It is up to us to speak out and expose the empty rhetoric and warped treatment of American issues repeated by both paid right-wing blog trolls as well as simple rabid ideological fanatics.”

According to sources, the brief meeting with “Feisty” will include a personal message from the President that she will later post on the Newsvine “First Read” daily political memorandum

To celebrate, the drinks over at the Dew Drop Inn are on me tonight! Keep those glasses filled bartender!

Hope everyones hungry tonight, just hung up ordering some of Chicago's finest deep dish pizza to be delivered in a bit!

Many thanks to our affable hosts/moderators Mark – Domenico & Ali! For providing us this little sliver of sanity amongst the torrent of craziness that permeates politics these days!

Feisty, you have my most fervent compliments ... and sympathies. Doesn't matter if the visit is private, those Secret Service guys are gonna look into your panties. Remember what Mama said about clean undies, and pray it's a lovely hunk with the job! Here's a related story I found, gives you some fodder for talking more about the righties and their "values:"

NEW COMMEMORATIVE DOLLARS PROPOSED TO “HONOR GREAT AMERICANS, REBUILD NATIONAL UNITY, AND CREATE A TREASURY SUPLUS”

PHILADELPHIA, PA, April 1, 2011 (Public Relations Wire Service) – Conservative think tank Forward America today proposed the U.S. Treasury take a clue from a century ago and issue a series of commemorative one-dollar bills, retaining the standard front side but on the back featuring portraits of “great Americans whose values and achievements set standards for a nation in moral danger.”

Not only would the bills renew attention to “vital values our nation needs to embrace again, and unify us as a God-fearing capitalist country” said the organization in a news release, but also would create a Treasury surplus.

Before the turn of the 20th Century, said Forward America, the U.S. Mint issued a series of bills featuring images from the bygone frontier era, portraits of scientists, entrepreneurs and inventors, and other scenes detailing American progress and principles. “These bills today are extremely valuable to collectors, but virtually unknown by most Americans,” the press release explained.

Forward America proposed the series include portraits and brief explanatory captions featuring “conservative icons from Rutherford B. Hayes to Ayn Rand, Barry Goldwater, Anne Coulter, John Wayne, Charlton Heston, and of course George W. Bush” - they left President Ronald Reagan out because “he wasn't really a true conservative."

The United States will not only benefit from a renewed appreciation of its past and present conservative principles, said Forward America, but also “the country can build a surplus in our Treasury. Most of these bills will never be spent, they will be kept and cherished alongside the family Bible, and preserved in collections worldwide.”

- END -

Feisty, you got me. I didn;t realize your Mom never told you about car accidents and skid marks.

And I also forgot to mention the Ronco mini-fishing rod, too, and their wonderful onion chopper. But hey, I don't do infomercials these days.

However, I did find something else onna Web to collect here, if it is so permitted:

IR, I found this on world.illusorynews.net "HOT OFF THE WIRES" -

NEW YORK, NY, April 1, 2001 (Foch-Petain Information Agency) - Republican insiders reveal that Ronald Reagan II, son of the late President, is considering entering the GOP presidential primary contests "to give a divided and confused party a better choice, in the great legacy of my father."

Reports claim the younger Reagan is talking about an advance committe, with noted conservative values advocate and one-time beauty queen Anita Bryant, former Florida Rep. Mark Foley, outspoken right-wing columnist Anne Coulter, and others dissatisfied with the existing crop of potential Republican nominees. "I already have plenty of friends on different parts of the political spectrum who might help, but these people bring a solid array of other perspectives from the Republican right," Reagan supposedly told a confidante.

The confidential source said that Reagan, now a widely-known television news and politics commentator, had spoken with some key Republican campaign consultants about why he would seek the office: "I have my father's name and legacy to consider, I have to prove that being a dancer in the Joffrey Ballet did not mean I am gay, and besides, my wife really wants to redecorate the Oval Office.

"I am the ideal 2011 GOP candidate, even though I am more progressive than Barney Frank."

— END _

Yes, because as history has shown Feisty is never anything but gracious and always takes the high road.

Now that's funny! Did you type it with a straight face? LMAO!

You call me a troll when this is the crap you've written the last few days?

Feisty, does your family cheer and tell you "job well done" when you tell them you spent another 8 hours posting insults on this site instead of doing something, ya know, constructive with your time?.

Feisty Redhead and Obama. LOL! Did you really expect people here to fall for such a lame April Fool's joke. Even the libs here couldn't be THAT stupid.

Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL on ignore so we don't have to read their BS. It makes for a more enjoyable experience.

Love to see a list a list of books Feisty has read. Pretty sure they'd all be comic books though. Don't bother posting made up BS about the books you've "read" Feisty. Your posts j …

So you LIED about having me on ignore I see! Not to worry, I wouldn't believe anything you said if you're tongue came notarized! ;o)

Maybe you should quit obsessing over the Feisty Redhead, and do a little more 'inner' reflection before you call someone else a troll..

After all, your comments above speak for themselves now don't they?

At first your attention was kind of cute but I got to tell you, it's getting creepy!

Amazing, Feisty. Do greet the President and his lovely family for me! Here it is Friday again, this week went by faster then I care to think about! What oh what have we learned this week? Huckabee , when he was at the Rediscover God in America thought it would be a wonderful thing if all Americans were indoctrinated by David Barton, and he thought that doing that at gun point for those less cooperative souls would accomplish his goal of forcing religion. For those of you unfamiliar with Barton, to say he has an "interesting" view of American history is understating things. Actually, he just flat out lies about it. Not to be outdone demonstrating ignorance, Eric Cantor thought that if he passed a bill in the House, it would automatically become law if the Senate did not act on it. Good for Lawrence O'Donnell for the catch, and I wonder if Cantor slept through history class....or took class in Civics from the aforementioned David Barton? Another brain from the Republican brain (drain) trust Tom Marino (R-PA) asked about Libya. "where does it stop? Do we go into Africa next?" according to the Scranton Times Tribune. Could someone in Marino's office please send him a world map? Thanks. Now, it would be better if this were an April Fool's post, but these folks are serious, and their ignorance is dangerous for the rest of the country! Mark, Domenico and everyone at First Read...thanks so much for your patience as we discuss the issues of the day. Feisty, IR, and the gang...don't know about you, but I am ready for some Dew Drop Inn time, and that pizza sounds wonderful! May have to stay at the Come Back Inn if our party goes on through the weekend, storm headed our way. Our neighboring town just "won" worst weather from the Weather Channel, and I don't know whether to send a congratulations to them or sympathy! See you at the Dew Drop Inn!

I just caught the end but Anthony Weiner read a poem in the House telling how a bill becomes law. What I heard was pretty funny and definitely sarcastic because he read it as if explaining it to 1st graders.

Cantor probably attended Glenn Beck U. Lawrence O also hit that March 1 Senate Resolution several times this week.

See you at the Dew Drop.

Mr. Murray and Mr. Montenaro

Before I head on down to the Dew Drop Inn to perform my Caretaker duties I was wondering if maybe you’ll could pass on a little advice about how you’ll are handling the problem that we of the Dew Drop Inn and you’ll of First Read seemed to have developed in the last little bit.

Just like you and your staff we have opened our doors and shared our hospitality to all in an effort to promote free and open debate among all who are interested in that sort of thing. We have shared and enjoyed the convivial atmosphere that that creates. The conversation is raucous, sometimes heated and pointed but always interesting. Nobody ever ends up with anything but their feelings coming to any harm.

Here lately you at First Read and we down at the two Inns seem to be beset by a shadowy group who are not so much interested in participating in the conversation as they are in controlling the conversation and who is allowed to participate in it. Apparently they are incapable of or unwilling to simply set down share a shot or two and make their case and do the best they can to stand up with the courage of their convictions.

So they lurk in the shadows and hide behind anonymity while they try to collapse the doors, throw rocks through the windows, scrawl graffiti on the walls and key the cars of the folks that they cannot relate to in the parking lot. All in the attempt to control something that isn’t and never was theirs to control to start with. All in an attempt to control something that they apparently will never understand or comprehend.

Don’t know about you’ll over there but my accountants are telling me that these Shadow folks are starting to cost us over at the Inn some folding money. Seems like new patrons are driving in the lot and taking a look at those broken windows and graffiti stained walls and going on down the road a piece. So we have to spend more than necessary on repairs and up keep. We depend on a lot of repeat business so we are also concerned about those regular customers that are getting their access blocked and their cars vandalized every time they stop in. Kind of wondering how long it’s going to them to grow tired of such shenanigans and quit stopping by.

Any way if you’ve got a good thought or two and the inclination to share it I sure would be right appreciative of the effort.

Of course the Dew Drop and Comeback Inn are going to open up on time this evening and will for the foreseeable future. Since old Hi-Tech reached the age of majority a few years back I’m going to tote him along and everybody’s first round will be on me. Hoping everyone will cut the youngster some slack remembering that he’s had to go through life with an ill-tempered old Redneck for a Daddy and April Fool’s Day for a birthday. It’s a wonder he managed to turn out as good as he did isn’t it but as they say we all have our crosses to bear some just bear them better than others.

As always my thanks and appreciation to our hosts for their time, giving me a little place to stand, a subject to comment on, a forum to put it in, and their indulgence when I don’t quite get it right or get a little off subject. I purely do appreciate it. Hope you’ll have a fine weekend and good fun among folks that you know and love. To my fellow participants keep well, keep safe, and keep the faith. We’ll make it. See you’ll next week

Barkeep set everybody up a round somebody throw a Quarter in the music machine and let’s get this little shindig started before the RH ex ST figures out where me and old Hi-Tech are at and drags us back up on the Hill.

Put me down for Connie Francis' "Everybody's Somebody's Fool" and Aretha's "Chain of Fools". And in honor of some of the regulars from the other side of the aisle who weren't here today (apparently they left early to get to that "Take Back Canada" rally!), can we have the Doobie Brothers' "What A Fool Believes"?

Wow, IR, what a post!

I feel your pain in one way - my kids range from 34 on April 8, to 19. their struggles relate to our times, too - the older daughter is creating a new career path in Berlin, Germany, the younger boy is trying to get on started in Norfolk, VA. Their birthdays are milestones along which I recall my own - and you and I buddy, are only one day apart on OUR birthdays! Mine is the big 65 this year, you think I am NOT paying attention to some of the stupidity from the right about Social Security and medicare? Guess again!

As for JoAnne, dear, you are a KID. Anyone 62 or younger is in the "child" sequence as far as I'm concerned. Got thru cancer, heart surgery, and other stuff the past two years and am back ready to stride the deck of a pirate ship, saber in hand! Well, this probably has more to do with the fact I'm the oldest of seven, six of us boys, and those little bilge rats can just wait their turn.

Actually, I was wondering if Boehner and Schumer weren't the only ones needing more "family time."

Salt Grass

Good Spoof Domenico. Best of the day.

It sure was.

But, how could Mark, Domenico, and the rest of the FR crew miss this? John Boehner released his birth certificate; in hopes President would release his.

John Boehner was born in Kenya.

Apparently, Fox News removed it from their website. I just saw it a few minutes ago.

Domenico Montanaro writes: With President Obama out for 2012...

I was out this afternoon doing a few things; I come home, after being out in the never ending COLD; I make a cup of hot tea, sit down in my cozy overstuffed chair, completely forgetting it's April Fool's Day, and click on First Read immediately and there staring @ me - President Obama out for 2012 ...

I kept staring at those words and I was like - What the?! What did I miss??

Good one Domenico & Andy. And the comment in your video about going to Canada to take back their country...lol

Today is April Fool's Day yes, but it's also the beginning of yet another baseball season. Good luck to you all. See you in September, see you when the summer's through.

And hopefully, October.

Go Cubs. {hey, you never know}

Okay, now that my heart attack has passed -

Obama/Biden - 2012. Whew.

You must have lost a few days off of your life thinking that was true, Pat!

How about the Pirates winning today?! At least we're over .500 for one day this season.

Thanks Pat

Right now I'm hoping Da Bulls make the playoffs.

HELP!  With Bohner, Can't-er, and that guy from Texas who thinks the Affordable Care Bill includes a secret Obama army--we got more than our share of April Fools. Sadly, they don't go 'way on April 2.
