If you had been paying attention you would know that not only has President Obama released his birth certificate, the State of Hawaii has repeatedly verified his birth in that state. The fact is that the birthers PREFER to believe that President Obama is not a natural born citizen of this country and are therefore UNWILLING to pay attention to the evidence.

The reason this is still going on is because the press allows it. The birthers claim that his mom said he was born here so he could be a citizen but the fact his mom was a citizen is enough to make him a full citizen of the united states. The only right his parents would have gained for him by lying about his birth place would be his ability to be the president. A certificate of live birth is that it lists both parents, the date of birth, race and state filed in. The original Birth Certificate lists a lot more information about the parents that includes their parents, other live births, number siblings, country of parents births, doctor of delivery, hospital, witnesses and more. I have one of each. The certificate of live birth has no signatures and the Birth Certificate has the Doctor, the witnesses and the head of the State Health Department, both have the State Seal. So you see there is a big difference in the two. What was released for BO was a certificate of live birth not the original Birth Certificate. As always just my opinion.

I can order an official birth certificate from my state capital or get one from the Health Dept. in my home town. If it comes from the state in which you were born, it is your birth certificate but it could be called a Certificate of Live Birth. A document from the hospital is not an official state document. I just got my birth certificate from the state of South Dakota and that's what it says at the top but it is an official, certified document. That is the only birth certificate that SD issues so if I needed something else, I'd be out of luck. Many states no longer issue a so-called long form -- South Dakota and Hawaii seem to be two of them.

Admittedly I do not know how the paperwork on the birth of a baby moves through the bureaucracy and I was born in NY so it may be different in HI but I have a "Birth Certificate" and a "Certification of Birth" -- they are two different things. The "Birth Certificate" is signed by the doctor and the nurse and bears my foot print and my thumb print and provides patinant details such as the Hosp, etc. The "Certification of Birth" is nothing more than a computer generated form, stating my date of birth, my mother and father and the city, county and state in which I was born. That information had to have been inputted into the computer from somewhere and I suspect that that "somewhere" was the "Birth Certificate" the original of which should remain on file in the archives. Although the "Certification of Birth" is under seal and is legal proof of the matters it contains, I think it is significant that the Governor can't find the underlying "Birth Certificate", access to the archives has been denied, and that with all this fuss (assuming the original "Birth Certificate" was lost) why Obama has not requested the archives be searched for it. All he would have to do is write a letter. The hospital, in which he was born should also have it in its archives. Send them a letter also. Obama, your inaction, not Trump's accusations, make it look like you have something to hide.

I am a native born in Hawaii and I've never recieved a birth certificate from Hawaii. I do have a certified copy of my live birth but not a birth certificate and that has gotten me into the military, passports, drivers license, and into schools with no problem. I also had my birth announcement in the Honolulu Star Advertiser in 1955, but after reading all this teabagger stuff, I wonder if I was even born. I think I've figured out the problem here. The problem the birthers have with the President's birth certificate is the same problem that they have with the President himself. Birthers are looking at their own birth certificates, issued in their own states and saying "Hey, that doesn't look like mine, so it must be a fake. I have no "Birth Certificate", no "Long Form, with the hospital information on it. What you wingnuts and Donald Trump are calling a "Birth Certificate" is a fancy piece of paper given as a souvenir to parents when they leave the hospital. I didn't get one of those for either of my kids. Apparently the hospitals where they were born didn't find it necessary to go to Kinkos to print up a bunch of forms on fancy paper and stick a pretty seal on them that you can buy in bulk in any office supply store. I'll be taking my kids' Certificates of Live Birth down to the passport office tomorrow to get their passports...and they will be accepted as valid proof that my kids are citizens of this country.

Even Donald Trump said "You can't get a driver's license without a birth certificate...you can't get a marriage license without a birth certificate." Showing a piece of paper that usually is prepared solely by words of those applying for the certificate doesn't mean camel dump as to reality. Im not birther, but there is a difference between a Birth Cert, and a Cert of live Birth. To me its kind of like how I had to show multiple forms of ID when I got my job. The accepted forms change from Job to Job in some cases, so I have them all.

This entire birther crap could be put to bed very easily if a Birth Cert was shown, not a Cert of Live Birth like what was shown. Its not real rocket science.

In my state, they issue Certificates of Live Birth. Neither of my children have ANYTHING called a "Birth Certificate". Does that mean they aren't U.S. citizens? They might surprised to find that out. And what will be really surprising is when I take those Certificates of Live Birth down to the passport office tomorrow and they accept them as valid proof that my kids are citizens of this country and issue their passports. I guess those federal agents need some training on the difference between the two, huh?

Birther Issue: I'm no birther in the sense I do not lay awake at night thinking about Obama's BC.

I have a son that was born in Hawaii in 1993 at Tripler Army Medical Center. We were issued a Certificate of Live Birth to which served no purpose later in his life. When we went for his passport, we were told that certificate is no good and you have to request a Birth Certificate. It took about a week but we received one. When we registered him in school for the first time and all the other schools he attended, they asked for a Birth Certificate. When he accepted his football scholarship to OU, they asked for a Birth Certificate. All 3 of my kids have a Birth Certificate and so do my wife and myself. They were all born in the 90's and their Birth Certificates look just like mine from the 60's. One was born in Hawaii, one in North Carolina, and one in Texas.

All of this nonsense can be put to rest if the man would just show an actual Birth Certificate and stop producing that Certificate of Live Birth. When he is out of office, there will probably be a lot of not so great things to come out about him. While he is POTUS, his handlers can keep a lid on things but he will not be POTUS forever.

HUD homes are owned by individuals so it is not the Government taking care of those properties, it is the homeowner.
