March Madness in the Boiler Room

While Mark Murray's away, and the NCAA basketball tournament gets under way, Domenico Montanaro will play - this time, using Chuck Todd's iPad to go through his top picks. President Obama might have picked Kansas to win, but wait until you hear who Domenico (and some other people in the political unit) picked!

Given this is MSNBC, I bet your picks come from the LEFT side of the brackets....

I hear Hillary is less than happy with the support she has gotten from a certain someone who went with all the first seeds.

Think we'll be treated to an article on that here on FR?

Oddly, I picked from the RIGHT side of my bracket. PS. Kansas is about as RED as it gets; but I think they are going to win it all.

I don't let my politics cloud my picks, do you?

What a great Boiler Room, Domenico---thanks for supporting my Panthers. We'll take a bye to the Final Four after our bad experiences in recent years!

With Mark on vacation, do you think you could arrange for a mishap on the office wall and lose the Steele sign?

Top Five Signs You are a rabid First Read Fan:

1)You watch an entire video of two guys talking about basketball on a computer that doesn't have sound.

    2) You watch an entire video of two guys talking about basketball and you actually hate sports.

    3) You feel compelled to comment "Chuck Todd! Looks like you've lost weight! Lookin' good fella!"

    4) Your co-worker says "who are those guys?" and you say "You mean you don't KNOW?"

    and

    5) It's the first warm day in months in Maine and, when your co-worker asks if you want to go to lunch you say "Wait a minute, I gotta finish watching this."

Too funny, Amy! We'll make a sports fan out of you yet! Start by rooting for Pitt in the NCAA March Madness.

I'm not far behind you---I thought when I saw the video---how great that Domenico is wearing a green tie today but Chuck didn't seem to get that memo!

Thanks Domenico and Chuck T, what a fun Boiler Room. With the horrific disaseters in Japan, Libya, Bahrain and who knows what else, I appreciate the switch to March Madness. I don't follow basketball closely enough to pick beyond a dart-board guess the way many do but the tournaments find me listening and watching.

Wow, Amy. That's amazing. And, by the way, I was able to get up to Acadia last September, and it was spectacular. Did a great 5.4 mile hike, kayaking, lobster boat, popovers on the lawn, swimming at Echo Lake.

Steeler fan - it seems like its been an extra long break with this administration as nothing continues to get done about all that "seriousness"
