More 2012: Kaine moves toward a bid

MASSACHUSETTS: Despite poll numbers that make it clear it's an uphill climb in Massachusetts, the DSCC isn't giving up on a challenge to Sen. Scott Brown. "Guy Cecil, executive director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, is scheduled to arrive in Boston today for two days of meetings with party leaders, political operatives, activists, and Democratic donors as part of the committee's decision to make the Brown seat a high priority in 2012," writes the Boston Globe. "Cecil said he believes that the Massachusetts race could help determine the balance of power in the US Senate, where Democrats currently hold a slim majority."

NEW YORK: Wealthy businessman (and former Democrat) Jack Davis is mixing up that special election to replace ex-Rep. Chris Lee in New York.

VIRGINIA: The University of Richmond newspaper is pushing back against the DNC's claim that Kaine didn't definitively tell a classroom of Richmond students that he was in the race. From Politico: "Though Kaine said he would not officially announce the decision for a week or so, he said he was going to 'give it a shot,' after consulting with a variety of different advisers, including current and former senators, according to one of his students," reported The Collegian Monday night.

Seems that the Republican/TP Inc. party did not get what they thought they were getting with Scott Brown. I actually have respect for the man as he does not seem as radical as the Republican/TP Inc. party had hoped and has developed into a moderate Republican. Because of this, he may be more vulnerable than people think. While I hope he is defeated, if he isn't, I could live with that.

I agree, Brown does not seem as radical as most of the republican/tp, or even of the "so-called" leadership of the republican party. I do hope he is defeated, but if not, at least he does not appear to be an idiot!

As to Tim Kaine, if he does run in Virginia, I hope he puts more effort into it than he did into his Chairmanship of the DNCC. I think he did a lackluster job at that.

I'm hoping that the Democrats learned from that election and several others that there truly is no 'safe district' and every election must be taken seriously.

Obama is now toxic politically in Virginia...ask Democratic Gubenatorial candidate Creigh Deeds about that ...

Tim Kaine cannot separate himself from the failed Obama policies, and he and Obama will lose in Virginia...badly.

Once every 10 years or so, moonbatty Massachusetts awakes from its leftwing stupidity , and votes for a sane candidate...

Scott Brown is a great Senator, and has a future in national politics.
