Uh-oh. The paid posters are about to make it real unpleasant on these boards again. Duck and cover!

Unpleasant?

All great things. But It begs the question if you are having an unpleasant time, at any point, why would you continue?

THis is just happy fun time, a diversion from the mundane and boring tasks.

easy up there chief. Have a little fun. These are good times. No amount of surges or upbeat reports is going to shift the focus away from the reality of the debt and the deficit, so everybody wins in the long run.

See, maybe Obama was right - cutting taxes is a GREAT thing. Yeah "Obama tax cuts for the wealthy!"

And by "paid-posters" I assume you are refering to yourself, right? Wink, wink, nod, nod. :)

Just hanging out.

But I was in court this morning, and got a client meeting later today, so pretty productive all and all. Plus just got a trial continued so that's good news [more time to bill].

But thanks for asking. And you?

So, Bev., is that your attempt at poetry, or just more of the same standard nonsense?

Arrogance? Me? That's just speaking the truth. You know "truth to power" and all that.

Didn't you read my initial response to my buddy DBO? Just hanging out and having fun.

Plus I love Chuck and Savannh - I watch them every morning. Well at least the second half - it's on really early. Savannah is just sooooo damn cute. Feisty in a subtle, totally non Fox chick way.

But I do have a very important meeting with a new client today. Wish me luck!

Spanky and Paul, you are incorrectly using "begs the question". "Begging the question" is when the proposition you are tyring to prove is assumed in the premise of your argument.

Now days when you hear "begs the question" someone has used it incorrectly like you have. I just wanted to point out that the way you are using it is technically incorrect.

And gosh rc if only it were a fake business I could pay fake taxes [and quarterly estimated payments].

Bev. since when is "truth to power" a condecending remark?

So, Bev. have you wished my luck yet? This new client could really effect my fake business. Where's the love? COmeon give me some sugar.

Anna no offense intended. I should have stated it differently. Like Spanky you are the type of lawyer that screws people and likes to see folks in misery. There are couple in my family that practice but are not condescending and snooty like the Spankster.

By "effect" do you mean "create" your fake business? Look it up.

Which law school did you attend, anyway, Spanky? Or is it just that lazy IT guy again, letting your spelling and grammar check allow such an egregious error to go undetected?

I told you to fire him yesterday. Freeloader. Obviously doesn't deserve his job.

Because on second thought, I'm sure that YOU could never have made such a mistake on your own.

Don't worry. I won't tell that important new client. He's got enough of an uphill battle.

Okey dokey rc - let me highlight this for you, using your own words.

"Like Spanky you are the type of lawyer that screws people and likes to see folks in misery."

So with that comment you were trying NOT to denigrate AM? Huh, guess you can see why this particular "shark" might be confused.

And you are correct job1 - I hate research. That's why I got me a research attorney. She loves researching and hates court. It's a perfect fit. Plus affords me time to hang out with you all and use improper grammar and mis-spell stuff. Spelling is hard.

Words hurt rc, words hurt.

And no AM I meant effect as in have an effect on the bottom line. If you need help with that go ask you managing partner.

Ohhhh Spanky. Exhale and let some of that hot air out of your over inflated head. Just drop the "Like" and read the rest of the sentence. "Spanky you are the type of lawyer that screws people and likes to see folks in misery." Unlike you I don't have an employee that does full time research and I have been jumping back and forth on a deal I'm closing.

And no AM I meant effect as in have an effect on the bottom line. If you need help with that go ask you managing partner.

(insert buzzer sound) -- Oh, no, Spanky ... You see, what you said is: "client could really effect my fake business"

Used as a verb, "effect" means: "to produce as an effect; bring about; accomplish; make happen"

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/effect

As you used it here, "my fake business" was the direct object of "effect," meaning, therefore, to make your fake business happen.

See, unlike you, apparently, I don't think grammar and spelling are that hard. But YOU may need a managing partner.

"I got me a research attorney. She loves researching and hates court. It's a perfect fit. Plus affords me time to hang out with you all and use improper grammar and mis-spell stuff. Spelling is hard."

Does she also do your history revision for you, Spanky? Or do you do that all by yourself?

Because if she's doing it for you, I think you should fire her, Spanky. Freeloading slacker. If you're doing it yourself, well, then, I still feel sorry for your client.

Okey dokey rc - let me highlight this for you, using your own words.

"Like Spanky you are the type of lawyer that screws people and likes to see folks in misery."

So with that comment you were trying NOT to denigrate AM? Huh, guess you can see why this particular "shark" might be confused.

Well, yes, I can certainly see why YOU might be confused. But given all of the foregoing, Spanky, it occurs to me that you should probably be more charitable toward what was, in the proper context provided by rc, obviously a typo. When he explained what he meant, then you, as the brilliant legal mind that you are, should have immediately inferred the typo. I did, and I'm most certainly NOT in your league. Now, as I already know that you couldn't possibly have missed such an obvious inference, I'll just have to conclude that you deliberately continued to argue the point.

You know what they say about that, don't you Spanky? Res ipsa loquitur.

I am such a FR addict, however, I just watched the whole thing without being able to hear anything! Guess I will go to the library tonight after work so I can hear the round table discussion. I think its really cool to see David Gregory interacting with our favorite FR guys. I'm such a FR geek.

Message to the GOP: Austerity Is Not Enough

      by Karl Rove

To prevail in 2012, the GOP needs a pro-growth candidate who represents a pro-growth party. Republicans must put front and center political leaders who can speak in compelling terms about opportunity as well as sacrifice. A message of austerity and prosperity is far more powerful than either one alone.

      http://www.rove.com/articles

Surely, that leaves most RepuliCons out; especially the two bimbos Sarh Palin and Michell Bachmann.

Good luck, Mr. Rove in your endeavor. Now, what was that quote you gave about the unions and their coffers?

      Now, I remember...

Rove: "Every one of those 600,000 people had several hundred dollars worth of union dues going into the political coffers of their union to spend on politics. So yeah, you keep having a couple hundred thousand people each year. If a half a million people leave the labor union movement every year, pretty soon you start having a crimp in the political budget of these unions, it has a direct effect on the Presidential elections."

The GOP is not sure they can win the White House for 2012. Even with a massive money campaign, Karl Rove is still assuming that Obama as an incumbent has the advantage. That is why the caliber and number of potential GOP candidates is so low.

Even if they don't win, there are still some political points one could get from running, but they mostly help the underdogs and hurt any real contenders.

My thoughts are that the GOP leadership would like to knock both Palin and the Tea Party down a few notches since they are not playing ball with the party. I would not be the lease bit surprised if they let Palin or a Tea Party candidate take the nomination just to let them fail. Given the choice between Obama and Palin or a TP candidate, there are quite a few top GOP people who would either withhold funds or covertly donate to the Dems to ensure a defeat so they could cut the whole Tea Party movement off at the knees and get back to running their party top down again.
