After last night’s failed vote to extend provisions of the PATRIOT Act, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said the GOP isn’t “going to be perfect every day,” but he blamed it on Democrats -- despite 26 members of his caucus voting against it.
"Well listen, we've been in the majority four weeks, we're not going to be perfect every day,” Boehner said. “If the Democrats who had voted for these provisions last year had voted for them this year, it would have passed. We're going to get these extensions of the PATRIOTIC Act enacted, because it's important for the safety and security of the American people."
Asked why leadership brought the bill up under suspension rules, which would require a two-thirds majority, if it didn’t have the votes, Boehner insisted the vote was there.
"It was," he said.
Another area of disagreement within the GOP caucus, particularly the Tea Party wing, is on spending. Some Tea Party-backed members – and Tea Party groups at large -- have criticized the GOP for not cutting spending enough, at least not to their proposed $100 billion promise in the “Pledge to America.”
"I have made it clear for a month now that I believe we ought to allow the House to work its will,” Boehner said. “I've been a big believer of this for the 20 years that I've been here. Now we have a chance to do it. Let's let the House make that decision. It's not about my decision, it's not about anybody else's decision. All members Democrats and Republicans ought to have a chance to involve themselves in the process of legislating and let all members represent all Americans to develop how much cutting the American people really want. I'm looking forward to debate, I'll look at the amendments, let's let the House vote on them."
Ahead of next week’s White House budget release, Boehner said the GOP will release its spending cuts bill tomorrow.
"Tomorrow, we'll unveil our budget-cutting bill to fund the government from March 4th to Sept. 30th, again keeping our pledge to the American people that we will cut spending,” Boehner said. “All of this will create an environment for more jobs in America."
This announcement means that tomorrow the public will be able to see which government programs specifically the GOP would propose cutting in order to bring spending down by $32 billion for the rest of fiscal year 2011.
Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) will be at the White House this afternoon to have lunch with President Obama. They’re expected to talk about spending cuts among other items.
“These are the kind of issues that we are going to talk to him about,” Cantor said, “and hopefully, we can find some common ground so we can see jobs growing in this country again."
While Cantor emphasized “common ground,” McCarthy took a shot at the president.
“As the leader said, when we go down to see the president I am very hopeful,” he said. But then added to the reporters gathered, “You want be there -- the teleprompters won't be there.
“I hope we have a very frank conversation about how we are going to create jobs and cut the spending in Washington."

But the GOP/TP wants President Obama to be perfect every day. Heaven forbid if he is not.
After last night’s failed vote to extend provisions of the PATRIOT Act, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said the GOP isn’t “going to be perfect every day,” but he blamed it on Democrats -- despite 26 members of his caucus voting against it.
Ok navy, when the blue dog democrats were going against the party with HCR, we did not blame the republicans because we could not keep our hiouse in order, i said after the midterms that the republicans were going to have a problem with the tea party, case in point, the tax deal navy the tea party would have never voted to aprove that, as well as DADT!!!! the 26 that went against the republican party i bet they were all from the tea party. remember less government navy, to extend provisions of the PATRIOT Act mean more Government and this is what the ran against. this is going to interesting.
No truer words have been spoken Navy!
Why is it ALWAYS someone else's fault with these clowns?
$100 bucks says he REALLY 'tied one on' after that 'crushing' defeat! LMAO!
With any luck President Obama will be serving him and the rest of his cronies a 'lovely' crow casserole for lunch today!
Popcorn?
I suspect there will be more imperfect days for Boehner.
Feisty: I too believe the bone head "tied one on" after the votes were in...then he cried.
Bev,
That would be luxuriating on their rats instead of hamsters you'd need a job to afford those luxury rodents (hamsters)! Anyway i believe you meant hammocks. Thats what Sen Ryan said in his rebuttal to the SOTU.
How's this for less than perfect:
It turns out the 64 proposals for attacking "job-killing regulations" from our new Tea Party Governor Paul LePage were drafted by Ann Robinson of the lobbying firm Preti Flaherty Beliveau and Pachios in Portland, Maine, using their own computers.
A sharp eyed reporter noticed the firm's printer mark on each and every page of the proposal. Ann Robinson, who is LePage's head advisor on regulatory reform, recently registered as a lobbyist for drug maker Merck and the Toy Industry of America. The proposals the Governor presented include repealing the ban on BPA in chidren's articles like sippy cups, which had passed with bipartisan support in the last administration.
Basically, lobbyists for out of state corporations wrote the Governor's 64 proposals and gave it to him to present to the legislaure.
And there you have it. Maine: the Way Life Should Be (according to the GOTP)
PS. the 64 proposals for attacking "job-killing regulations" from our new Tea Party Governor Paul LePage also includes reversing a group of Product-Stewardship and Recycling Laws that would please PhRMA and AstraZenica, both clients of Ann Robinson who hired her last year to fight these laws.
These companies also contributed $140,000 and $344,000 to the Republican Governor's association which helped fund LePage's campaign.
Mind you, these proposals to reduce regulations were supposedly drafted from suggestions from citizens, but no one can identify any citizen who suggested repealing the ordinance to help fish swim through culverts by making them big enough. In fact the Maine Sportsmen's alliance advocated FOR this bill, and the only entity we can think who would want it repealed is the Maine Turnpike Authority, another client of Preti Flaherty Beliveau and Pachios in Portland, on whose computers the proposed changes were written. It just goes on and on, and its not clear whose jobs these proposals are supposed to save.
tit for tat navy, at least on the FR political blogs
Pls go check on the House of Representatives Calendar and see the House Floor zero agenda. Note that Republicans have set have themselves up with an armchair rotating two-weeks-in-Congress followed by one-week-at -home schedule.
Were it not created by themselves, House Republicans would call this a 'Jobs-Killing' agenda.
We know Republicans in Congress have set themselves: 1) HR repeal and putting insurance companies back in charge of our healthcare. 2) Repeating all the old cabbages about getting fiscal house in order, that this Administration has long been actively and aggressively addressing. 3) Ignoring the high mountain of work already done and right now creating jobs, getting obstacles out of the way for businesses large and small so they can innovate, expand and hire.
It's nothing doing, talk to the hand from Boehner, McConnell and friends. With or without them we can and will create the safe, green 21st century future we all deserve.
How right Boehner is, they can't be perfect everyday (were there tears when he made the remark). Heck, the Speaker couldn't even corral all house members for the swearing in ceremony, then they voted and two GOPers voted illegally which meant hours spent undoing the damage. He promised $100 billion in spending cuts and is struggling to find $32 billion--while blaming democrats because the GOP blocked passing the budget in 2010 and the GOP had counted on the increased dollars in that budget as part of what they would cut.
The most hypocritical part of Boehner's comments--blaming the democrats for not voting with him and the GOP. Yea, like Boehner voted with democrats to help solve the economic crisis. Get real, Boehner--you reap what you sow.
Counting votes is not easy! Just try it while your drinking, shtooping and tanning.
AnaBanana
You made me laugh aloud! HA, the fact that they ran from coast to coast promising they had answers, and now they are walking it back to "we're not going to be perfect,..."
Tomorrow they'll walk it back again to:
We don't have many ideas and we sure as heck don't know how to count votes,...
Who am I kidding,...they will never reach that level of honesty,...
I guess that what Boehner meant when he said that if the GOP was in charge of the house it would be run differantly he meant it would not run at all .
what the GOP means by common ground is for the President to give in to their demands . I hope he don't and if he does ihope the Democrats stand up to him and the GOP and not give in to their demands . I keep hearing about their new majority to which I say they don't have a majority in washington . I am sick and tired of hearing the dam GOP calling the health care bill Obama care it shows great disrepect and contetempt for the President . to wish I say that the way the GOP talks it is like a word explaing vulgar lnnguage,to which i say is expression of a weak mind trying to express its self forcefully.
the patriotic act is the biggest advancement of government into our lives ever . it comes into our homes and on to our computers .our telephones our bank accounts and any ony other part of our lives the government so desires. they can arrest you and hold you years with out charging you with anything and this is the worst of all the government can litterly kill you if it has an inklin of a terrist weither you are or not . you might at sometime in ypour life said something just joking an the government find it out then you are in trouble . it is a very bad piece of legislation. by the way it was done by the GOP.
Boehner v Boehner
1 - C-SPAN’s letter to John Boehner right after the November 2010 elections: In January, you sent C-SPAN a letter supporting our request for televised access to the health care negotiations, in which you wrote, "Every issue of national import should be debated by the people's elected representatives in full public view." You further wrote, "Republicans have listened to the American people and are committed to making Congress more accountable to the people it serves."
In this spirit we are writing to renew a request we made to Speakers Gingrich and Pelosi as they assumed office -- to allow House floor proceedings to also be covered by C-SPAN cameras.
Boehner's office: Request denied.
C-SPAN said it was "disappointed" in a decision by Boehner this week to maintain the status quo in the House, meaning that broadcasts from the House are restricted and under the control of the Speaker.
2 - While calling for budget cuts for domestic agencies by 9%, on average, Speaker Boehner is only calling for a cut to the congressional budget of 2%. Is it lead by example as the Speaker called for when he took the gavel or is it do as I say not as I do?
Dennis:
Great post and your facts speak for themselves. "Do as I say, not as I do". The old GOP/TP double standard. Nothing changes with these people.
Dennis:
Why do I have this feeling that Boehner does not want the American people to see how their representatives voted? Could it be that you can vote one way on the House floor and go back to your home district and say something else?
If one takes a good look at the House schedule, one can't help but notice that there are very few days dedicated to actual work.
Check it out - and then ask yourselves how it feels to be paying the salaries and benefits for these people?
How many weeks in a month can you take off from your job? Seems to me the new members of the majority are still intent on doing nothing but fighting the old culture wars of the 80's and 90's.
Wake-up! It's a new world out there.
Chandler W:
Kudos, right on target. Work 2 weeks out of every three, get paid for the three with full benefits to boot. Nice gig if you can get it. I saw a piece on Rachael Maddow last night that actually showed their calendar. It would be really funny if not so sad, they even filled in days that they were not doing anything with things like "Ground Hog Day', you know those weird holidays that some calendars have already filled in.
THe GOP/TP is really starting to flounder in their own waste.
Terrific post, Dennis. The list of GOPTP broken promises is long, and it's only been 5 weeks.
As I mentioned yesterday and others did again today, the GOPTP plans to work two weeks, then take one week vacation. As someone else suggested yesterday, cut their pay by one-third since they're working a third less. I think each of us regardless of party affiliation should write to Speaker Boehner and complain--it's our money giving them a paycheck; none of us works two weeks followed by one off.
Oh, Chandler, I see you beat me to the schedule.
"John Boehner (R-OH) said the GOP isn’t “going to be perfect every day,”"
And just why the hell not? They expect the President to be!
McCarthy didn't need a teleprompter either to make such an asinine comment! (He probably had it written on the palm of his hand...)
Idiot McCarthy. That comment was childish and unnecessary. Try being a grownup for a change. This attacking the President just for the sake of attacking is extremely tiresome and old.
One day the American people (as they like to say) are going to get really, really get tired of the snide remarks (if the are not already). It is unproductive, childish, and makes them look weak. When you have nothing to offer, make a snide remark.
Cheap shot from the goon squad--guess McCarthy wasn't at the GOP Annual Meeting when the President did the Q & A (televised for the duration), no teleprompter used, and soundly thumped every republican there with his knowledge of not just his legislation but the legislation republicans had written. It was a thing of beauty to watch. Surprise to the GOP, the President knew more of what they had proposed than they did.
I guess Boehner is covered with popped tea bags......hell of undrinkable tea.
Just one day would be a good start... If all the conservatives heads don't explode in unison with the effort.
Speaker Boehner did not say "the GOP isn't going to be perfect every day", he said "The GOP isn't going to be perfect on days ending in 'Y', where's the scotch?"
Chef Darrell
try this spine again.......
Good one, Chef Darrell!
I'm sure the GOP white paper on their proposed budget cuts will be a 1 pager written with invisible ink!
And should we not expect perfection every day from our elected representives? It's not like they have reallllly stressful jobs is it...heck I'd love to have their hours! and their pay and their benefits!
Can Obama win if unemployment is above 8%?
Very unlikely.
Yes, that 8% number is being spun by the media and pundits based on history but our recent history has no recession of such magnitude as this one since the Great Depression. People know this was really bad. If the unemployment number continues to decline, the economy continues to grow, and as already shown by the polls--people feel more confident; voters will recognize and credit President Obama for the progress.
Jody,
When you only have 36K increase in jobs and the unemployment rate drops .4% there's something wrong. Job growth needs to be 250K+ per month for it to drop. The real unemployment rate is around 15-17%.
If Obama continues to push the train issue and extend unemployment benefits to 116+ weeks, he won't be elected. Now with his next trick to bail out the States, he's going to be one and done.
How the unemployment figures are calculated hasn't been changed of late, as far as I know. If we reduced the extension of UI benefits down to 20 weeks tomorrow, throwing millions off the unemployment calculation rolls, the number would drop below 8% and you would then b!tch about that. Try to be consistent. The true unemployment figure has been a hidden number in this country for thirty years or more.
Same old libbies here as the day before and the same old tired rhetoric from all of them. They come here and preach back and forth to themselves and give each other a big hand, and think they have accomplished something.
The real accomplishments were on November 2nd and will be again in November 2012. And all these few libs can do is come here and repeat the same old tired lies, day in and day out.....Pathetic.
And yes Paul, Obama doesn't have a clue. He wants to build a high speed train that no one wants or will ride...just like the Health care reform bill that no one wanted. The economy is stagnated. Unemployment stays over 9% (officially). Those statistics don't tell about all the human misery and suffering, and loss of dignity, and loss of hope, and loss of homes, and divorces and bankruptcies that go with this unemployment statistic. And all those miserable Americans and their friends and relatives...they all vote. Obama will be one and done. In addition, he has poisoned the political well for at least 8 years, maybe 16.
Perfect Tan everyday, Perfect wine everyday, Perfect lie everyday, sounds pretty Prefect for a Moron!
Boehner where are the jobs, or did you forget that part? Perfect.
Perfect golf swing.
SHANKER! Fore, right!
I'm sure the overriding question is - Is it time for the 19th hole?
Hamletrules:
Hi Ham, where have you been? Missed you posts. Have a great day.
That's the statesmanship we're looking for from the Republican party---a gratuitous teleprompter remark. There is leadership for you. He forgot to mention "birth certificate" and "really a Muslim".
Additionally, the comment about having a 'frank conversation'...Yikes!
It is impossible to have a 'frank conversation' with liars!
Surely, the President has to know by now that the Republicans will only work against him and the American people...unless of course you're the American people in the top 2%.
Steeler Fan-380417
That's the statesmanship we're looking for from the Republican party---a gratuitous teleprompter remark. There is leadership for you. He forgot to mention "birth certificate" and "really a Muslim".
Last night I saw a clip on the Ed show where Frank Luntz, the spin Doctor who gave the GOP/tP THE " "GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER" give a focus group where nearly half believed the President is a Muslim. So what if he is!!! Furthermore this birth certificate thing has gone to farcical proportions.
The Birther Plan To Block Obama's Reelection
[snip]
Last week, Arizona state Rep. Judy Burges, a Republican, introduced a bill that would bar presidential candidates who do not prove they were born in the United States from appearing on the ballot in the Grand Canyon state.
Can Obama win without getting on all 50 ballots? I don't think so."
A win on this front in Arizona will not in and of itself scuttle Obama's reelection (assuming no such document for Obama can be produced). But it will certainly encourage birthers in other states to follow suit—and to keep their hope, and conspiracy theory, alive.

==========================================================
My point is this hateful segment of the right will say and do any and everything to waste tax dollars on trying to cast doubt and fear instead of doing the patriot thing. You got Darrel Issa's with hunt and Bill O' Rielly declaring they HATEyou. Glenn Beck and Swan Hannity on a jihad to prove the President and Van Jones & company are with the Muslim Brotherhood and want a Caliphate and Sharia law to take over the world. How stupid!!!
They should be asking Wall Street and the Chamber of Commerce to produce jobs.
Bev..... If the man cant prove he was actually BORN in America then he does not deserve to run for President. The constitution is fairly straight forward about this.
But then again....this is what the Socialist in Charge gets for trying to tell a state that they cant protect themselves from gun toting illegal aliens.
But hey Im sure that birth certificate is around here somewhere.....maybe in his brother George's hut in Kenya? Have we looked there yet? I bet it may be under his sleeping mat?
Larry you are an ignorant, gutter-dwelling, sorry excuse for an American.
If you are stupid enough to believe that President Obama is not an American citizen then you should apply for citizenship in some majority Caucasian country.
They could take you and your crowd down personally to the archives, show you the original birth certificate and you still wouldn't believe it.
You and the rest of the Birther element are tiresome, and your whole ploy is a very poorly veiled screen for what you all really think. And just so that there is no wiggle room left in what I mean, you and the Birther element do not accept that any person who has Black blood in their lineage is eligible to be President in America.
Yeah I said it. Collapse it if you want but everyone knows what I am saying is the truth.
Collapse it? Oh HELL NO!
You got my VOTE! ;o)
Larry-2767404
Bev..... If the man cant prove he was actually BORN in America then he does not deserve to run for President. The constitution is fairly straight forward about this
Even after the Supreme Court threw the cases out you people will never belive it. Why because you people are a shoot off of the John Birch society.
You are insulting. The birth certificate does exist and it's not in Kenya

Health Department spokeswoman Janice Okubo again confirmed Friday that Obama's name is found in its alphabetical list of names of people born in Hawaii, maintained in bound copies available for public view.
Hawaii Bill Would Charge $100 for Obama Birth Certificate
Jan 28, 2011 – 12:11 PM
The bill was introduced by Democratic legislators in Hawaii, who said they hoped it would have the added effect of bringing a little money into the state.
"If the people are so concerned about Barack Obama and if he was actually born in Hawaii, born in the United States, let them pay a fee of 100 bucks," said Rep. John Mizuno, according to KHON2 News in Hawaii. "We can certainly use the money, and we don't need to hear their complaining anymore."
http://www.aolnews.com/2011/01/28/hawaii-bill-would-charge-100-for-access-to-barack-obama-birth-r/
=======================================
BTW: How do you like that socialist system of the top 2% who only redistribute the money amongst themselves? Unless you are one of them you really don't have problem.
I agree with you, Bev---it makes me sad that people think it would be a problem if the President were a Muslim. As Colin Powell said, there are Muslims buried in Arlington Cemetery who gave their life for our country.
Sayitaintso....
Wanna hear a dirty little secret about me and "my kind"?????
I VOTED FOR BARACK HUSSIEN OBAMA IN 08.
(Granted I had a fleeting brain fart because I thought the man was actually a centrist...boy was I wrong!)
Now that is a mistake I will NEVER make again....
So seeing as I voted for the man I guess that puts a little damper on your whole Im a racist thing huh?
What I have a problem with is the fact that there is such a conspiracy and game being played as to why no one can find his birth certificate.
Im from Ohio and live in North Dakota and was able to go on to the Ohio records website and order mine.
You would think the most powerful man in the free (well at least it used to be until he took office) world could get on the internet (you know that thing Al Gore invented?) and get his birth certificate sent over from Hawaii..... or heck he could even have Biden do it..... but then again he'd probably screw that up.....
If a normal citizen can (with no problems at all) get a copy of a birth certificate but the POTUS just can't seem to be able to get his?
This is where my problem comes with Obama..... while ALL polititcians are liars and rats...he is the King of the liars and rats....
Isn't cyberspace wonderful?
You can hide behind a keyboard and claim to be anything you want!
Suppose you're married to a super model as well... eh... Larry?
You're 'stories' got more 'holes' in it than a chunk of finely aged Swiss!
Feisty
Not that I have to prove myself to anyone...especially a communist like you... but why on God's green earth would I say that I voted for a person that I feel is a bigger communist then any of the far left liberal (progressive, communist, socialist, no label whatever) presidents in the history of my great country if I didn't actually vote for him?
It's okay Larry - all you've proven is you're truthfully 'challenged!
Your little rant(s) are LOADED with all of the 'key racist code words' fed directly from the hate merchants over at Faux!
Run along now and maybe you'll get 'lucky' with the super model tonight! *wink wink*
Chilled. I'm pretty sure the president knows the republicans for what they are. He's out manuevering them again--who looks better to the public, the President for trying to reach out or the republicans for sitting on their hands.
More birthers, come on people, the republicans lost in 2008 and they lost to a man born in the great State of Hawaii in the great USA. Get over it, that's what the right tells democrats about Bush v Gore.
The State of Hawaii has the original birth document; that is confirmed by the previous GOP Governor, the current Governor, the former health director. Gov Neil Abercrombie said last month he wanted to release more of the state's birth information about Obama to quiet the birthers. But he ended the effort when the State Attorney General told him that privacy laws (those same laws protect each of us as well) bar disclosure of an individual's birth documentation. In case you birthers don't know what that means, your original birth documentation contains private information about you, your mother and your father and that's just no one's business. The Hawaii State legislature has a bill that would charge $100 for anyone wanting a copy of the birth certificate the President has already released. Cheers to Hawaii if it passes, why not make some money off the birthers' nonsense.
Incidentally, Larry, the President did get his copy of his birth certificate from Hawaii; that has been posted by Candidate Obama, and many others as well. The fact that you don't believe it proves you didn't vote for him in the first place because this all started in 2007; the fact you don't believe it also proves that you have acquired FDD (fact deficit disorder).
Larry:
It has been awhile since I have seen such a twit, an ignorant one to boot. Please crawl back under your rock, we have heard that I voted for President Obama line before and it always is just before they call him a commie or Muslim, not born in USA, etc. You have been exposed for the jerk you are.
And what in the world would Feisty know about getting lucky??
Edward,
She doesn't have to deal with you on a daily basis, I'd say she's pretty LUCKY!
Mr Boehner...where are the jobs?
Ray, where did my money go???????
Personally I am looking forward to the "spin" after the lunch!
The only possible spin about a lunch with Obama is in the food itself. Great chef at the white house, unlimited money, just ignore who you have to eat with, and enjoy the food.
Oh, and make sure you all glad-hand each other for the photo-ops on the way out.
Let me tell you a few things about Mr. Boehner, Speaker of the House with the large gavel. My wife's cousin used to work for him up until about 7 years ago. She quit because of how disgusted she was with his conduct. He is bought and paid for by the insurance, financial, and tobacco industries (follow the money trail and you can verify it yourself). He was (maybe still is) a womanizer and heavy drinker who loves to stay at the fanciest hotel resorts to hone his golf game....all paid for by the lobbyists of those fine, upstanding industries I mentioned above. Maybe he was gullible to these trappings due to his boyhood experience....from a poor, working class family with 11 other children in the Cincinnati area....thinking he had earned the right to reward himself as he had pulled himself from an abyss. He is a very motivated man with a dangerous agenda for the United States. Watch him closely in the coming months and you'll understand what I'm saying.
Bill-3002981
Thanks for the info. This gives more credibility to him sleeping with female lobbyist. The National Enquirer was right about John Edwards; and I'll bet they are right about the Boner too. How will this impact his leadership abilites?
I personally don't want a drunk as a leader in the people's House.
Beverly, do you know how desperate you sound? I have a friend of a friend and you run with it. You are better then that.
thetotas
Beverly, do you know how desperate you sound? I have a friend of a friend and you run with it. You are better then that.
LOL
I find nothing good about a drunk leading the fruit of America into decay. Rotten fruit will only get you drunk.
You ARE the desperate one; NOT me, simply put, if you like a DRUNKARD being in charge of a leadership postion.
Really thetotas......its a far cry (no pun intended) when the info comes from a family member versus a friend of a friend. You are sounding desperate!!
Today is any different... HOW? lol
Bill, that's good information, thanks for posting.
I remember when Mr. boehner said if he was speaker of the house it would be run totally differant from the way Nancy pelosa run it . well we can see the differance . the differance is he runs it 2 weeks on and 1 week off . well who does he think he is a king or something ?he don't do a very good job running it when it runs. if he run it full time like it should be run just think of the mess it would be in . the gop don't work very much they are lazy and slow at doing what needs to be done . they are a sorry bunch of repersentives who got in office by liying and misresenting the truth. they lied about the healthcare bill ,they lied about Obama not being a us citizien ,lied him being a muslim . they no he his a christian ,lied and still are about the amount of money he has spent ,when they no that he has spen the minium of 787 billion dollars he is still spending the stimilous money which he spent on GM and chrysler ...the 700 billion dollars to the stock market comes from the Bush adminstration and about 3 trillion more . the first budget for Obama was the budget was BUCH'S that the most ineffienct President we every had left before he signed it which Obama had to sign to keep the Government going .
are you guys telling me that Boehner is a drunk ? I didn't no this . Tellme more.
Thetotas,
No, Beverly isn't better than that. She is just playing gossip bimbo from Chicago. " He said that she said that she said that he said".......yawn.
Or any other day for that matter.
Wonder if it will be a 3 martini lunch for any of them?
YAWN, your arguments aren't impressive libbies. Tell me something with substance Feisty.
safecracker-1205811
YAWN, your arguments aren't impressive libbies. Tell me something with substance Feisty.
Oh Please you would not substance if it bit you your stupid @aa.
What about all those false statement you make on a consistent basis?
FYI: Lies and innuendos are un- substantive.
Hey Feisty, you were correct, it is contagious, yawn.........................................
this is totally what they do. they say jobs jobs jobs. then go to washington and it's all about female medical situations. the "libertarians" need to stay out of people's private business!
I think they got jobs confused with coffee breaks. What can we expect from a group that only wantsto work 2 out of every 3 weeks and get full benefits (that you and I can only dream of) to boot.
Mr. Boehner must now realize that being speaker is not going to be easy. He can't drink and cry his way through the next two years, or maybe he can. Nancy Pelosi must be smiling to herself after all the criticism she endured from Boehner and the Teapublicans (that term fits like a glove Fiesty). Is it just me or are the usual posters from the right a little defensive today? Come on defend your leader, or are you hitting the sauce too?
Was he crying about the vote or not being perfect. Probobly both.
McCarthy should know by now that president Obama does not "teleprompter" to speak about the issues concerning the citizens of this great country because he is concern with them everyday. The President proved this to O'Reilly during the Super bowl interview, though he was interrupted 75 times, he still kept his cool towards the rude, arrogant O'Rielly.
The Repubs and the Teabaggers will continue to have headaches as long as Obama continues to do what he knows to do best - moving America forward.
Be Cool, well said! And it will continue to drive the likes of bully O'Reilly, McCarthy, and friends bonkers.
Only a Moron would spell perfect "prefect" and why are you asking Boehner where the jobs are? I thought Obama took care of that with the stinkulus bill. You are admitting that Obama was a failure and now you need to beg Boehner to do the job Obama failed to do.
The President was and is helping to produce jobs Rocco. And it doesn't take a "moron" to mis-spell perfect, just look at how you spelled "stimulus". Oh, I'm sorry, you meant that as a joke but forgot to use the little "marks".
And no, the President is not a failure. If begging Mr. Boehner to help the President continue to move forward then shucks yea, anything to get results. The American people are in desperate need and everyone should be interested in that...
We will move forward when Obama becomes a Republican...not before.
The Republicans not perfect everyday? I dont see why they cannot be, after all, they have expected, no, demanded that the Democrats and President Obama be perfect everyday, and in every way. now, the onus is on them to actually produce. Not snappy slogans, not staged theatrics, but actual results. Obviously they cannot, they simply do not have the math skills, if they did, they would realize that 32 billion is far short of their promised 100 billion. They have the majority in the House, yet they cannot pass extensoins of the Patriot act. I am still waiting for the jobs to come through that they campaigned so vigorously on, but, rather than wasting time getting this country moving forward, they decided to do something much more important, namely push a bill on the Health care act that they knew before hand had no chance of passing. Boehner and his cohorts had better be perfect everyday, or they will be unemployed come next election.
Perfect? You, the GOPers in control of House is a sorry piece of mistake. Talking about perfection is only when you've been or done something. You haven't done anything, and you will not do anything. Talk is all you know, and time for that is past. Your sorry self will now be known by those who blindly voted you in the control of the House.
“As the leader said, when we go down to see the president I am very hopeful,” he said. But then added to the reporters gathered, “You want be there -- the teleprompters won't be there."
Same difference Mr Speaker. The President will still slap you guys around pretty good, as he always does - teleprompter or no teleprompter! Remember the health care summit when y'all looked like the total fools you're? No, we haven't forgotten.
