In case I didn't mention earlier this week... I can't tell you how nice it is to have you Mark & Domenico 'back in action' and keeping us updated on the latest breaking political news!
It sure has been an exhiliarating week! ;o)
Time to saunter on over to the Dew Drop Inn - rumor has it Margarita's are back on the menu after Grimey cleans us out last weekend!
Let's all raise a cold one to the new 'Weeper of the House'! No doubt he's started without us!
Happy Weekend Everyone!
Da Bears got a 'buy' week so now I have to sit back and wait... I'm thinking Seahawks would be a good match up!
Mark and Domenico-
What Feisty said!
Hey...desperate times call for desperate measures...it was warm down here and I didn't know where else to look!! ;-)
Lucky for you they ran out Grimey...
One more and I KNOW we would now have matching tattoos! ;o))
Always good to have the whole FR team of hosts back. Thanks for another fun week even if the politics was still recovering from vacation.
It is just me I'm sure but everytime I see or hear Tim Pawlenty, I flashback to the Republican National Convention and the poor lady who introduced "the next Vice President of the United States, Saarraahhh Paawwwlenty." Cheers and applause followed.
Now time to head over to the DDI for a margarita--glad the bar's been restocked. I'll need an extra one because as far as I can tell, my Chargers blew it this year--that's what they get for trading LaDanian Tomlinson.
I will second that to a cold one. Enjoy the football.
I think Karl Rove & Ed Gillipsie will share the Chair !
Pawlenty is going havta Splain about the convict he let out That commited a likewise Crime.
Willie Horton anyone?
Off Subject-
Just curious......who paid for the big celebration that Weeper had Wednesday night?
I'd guess Wellmark, United Health, and friends plus Goldman Sachs chipped in for the financial reform repeal.
TRR, it's being reported in an South African Newspaper, the cost of Boehner's Celebration was costing American Taxpayer's, $200,000,000.01 a Minute. In a sidenote, Boehner Splained that he's being Flouted as a TanMan because of Cigarette Smoke. Will there be OutRage from the Right about Smoke filling up the Speaker's Office?
WHAT!!
That's OUTRAGEOUS, Rick, Ky!! Why would the taxpayers pay $2000,000,000,000.02 per minute for something like this?
Quick- someone fact check this, and see why taxpayers are shelling out $2000,000,000,000,000.03 per minute for this.
The RNC chair SHOULD be the US Chamber of Commerce. Or the Koch brothers. Limbaugh would take it, but it doens't pay enough.
They are the de facto chair.
Mark & Domenico and other FR crew thanks again for all of dedicated work.
Every one enjoy your weekend!!!
drive-by -
I suspect that if you took a poll anywhere outside the Beltway, the Sunday talk shows, and First Read, you'd probably find a scary number of people who have never even heard of Michael Steele, let alone any of those running to replace him, and who think that Limbaugh is already the chairman of the Republican party. Unless, of course, they think it's Beck. Or Palin.....
Plus I forgot to mention.......where are the JOBS!!!!!
Oh, my GOD- I just saw on a blog somewhere that the taxpayers paid $4000,000,000,000,000,000.04 per minute for Boehner's big adventure.
I don't post often, but drive-by is hilarious!!!!!
Puleeze DBO... Can you not put 'big' & Boner in the same sentence?
Wasn't the 'massive' gavel enough? ;o))
Well, thanks, thewaythingsare, but I wish It were not all so incredibly sad in reality. Then, maybe I could REALLY be funny....
Feisty- wasn't there a president back when that said "speak softly, but carry an orange di.. uh, wait....
DBO.... or as Joan Walsh from Salon.com said "Weep softly and carry a big gavel"
Jody-
Oh how could I forget......those are his big corperation friends.
Rick-
I figure the taxpayers would be paying a large amount for the big celebration. Now if the Democrats did that we would never hear the end of it.
Hey, TeaBaggers: How much in deficit reduciton is in the forecast by now?
And, for bonus points: Where are the JOBS?
All this concern for the RNC. My, my. You might think that, given the losses in November, there would be some kind of a shakeup at the DNC- but no, all eyes are on the RNC.
Tell me, guys, did all that vilifying of Michael Steele work to your party's advantage? You think maybe the losses for democrats would have been higher without your help? Like, maybe their own spouses would have voted republican if you had not painted Steele as a clown?
Pretty strange, if you ask me.
