Palin’s 2012 hopes sinking?

Sarah Palin (R) remains a divisive figure. The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that measured her favorability ratings showed the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee about as polarizing as Nancy Pelosi.

A CNN poll out yesterday showed her numbers dropping among Republicans. One reason: Republicans are trying to figure out who can win, and her high negatives, particularly among independents, don't help. Why do you think it's happening, and what does it mean for the 2012 Republican field?

Take our poll at right and let us know who you think will be the GOP's 2012 presidential nominee.

I never cease to be amazed at how far the Obama, Reid and Pelosi trio has brought this country. Sinking in debt, massive unemployment, the lowest ratings for congress in history and a president that tours the world apologizing for America. The liberals should be right proud of their achievements.

By the way, Gitmo is being closed when? Pelosi is going to lead the House where?

Let's not forget who got us into this mess in the first place. Trying to rewrite history works for only a few people.

Yup, rewriting history only works on the folks that don't/can't read or write!

I'm just now this week getting an opportunity to see Domenico interviewed on MSNBC. He does a good job. I saw a few rising stars in 2010 - chief among them - Chris Hayes, Domenico, Mark, Ezra - Professional, informed, likeable & most important - reliable - with their take it to the bank reporting. As has always been the case with these four. And now we can add Lawrence O'Donnell. The Last Word - must see tv to go with the rest of the line-up.

    Twitter Liberals.

    Love it.

Just a wild guess, mind you.

No - I want her to run...She make a total mockery of the Right-wing with her shallow narcissistic attitude.I tend to agree with the assumption that many cannot believe there are people who still think she can walk on water. She may be very jealous that the Republican ticket lost. I believe many bigoted and biased people still cannot believe that a half-black man won the presidency. Reading multiple posts show the prejudice that still permeates the American peoples. Many cannot say anything nice and continue to spew the right-winged rhetoric normally heard on FOX and the narrow-minded narcissistic talking heads on radio. You know who you are. Americans have corrupted by FOX's continued radicalizing, lying and gross falsehoods. When people stop listening to this arm of the Republican/TEA party and the narcissistic narrow-minded talking heads they might get a clearer view of the real world they live in. The obvious leaders who have any chance of meeting President Obama in 2012 are Mitt Romney, who has probably the best chance; Newt Gingrich, whom is too closely allied with the sham nonprofit 501(c)4 organizations who are able to raise funds without any transparancies or disclosures; Tim Pawlenty and Mitch Daniels, the least like able, and that leaves Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin will visit the states where she can raise the most money for herself and cast off any real contender. The Narcissistic quitter from Alaska could pick Rick Perry from Texas and have a viable ticket, or Rick Perry could pick Sarah as his running mate. Either way the GOP will not produce any contenders to match President Obama's team. Even Marc Rubio's Florida roots cannot propel him to the fore front of the pack. Barbour has the poorest of chances.

Only the morons in the media are touting her as a legitimate candidate. I think it's interesting that MSNBC also lumped Donald Trump in the poll as a potential candidate. He's got about as much chance as her. Why not throw some cast members from the "Jersey Shore" in as potential candidates? If Palin looked liked Helen Thomas, nobody would be would think she was a worthy of a second look. The media in the country continue to do us a disservice.

While 'the DIck'had his hand up there, he should have grabbed Bush's heart and used it for a replacement. I think instead, he tried to go 'upstairs' for a brain, but came up empty.

I am no fan of Ms. Palin because she is an example of what is wrong with today's politics and politicians. She is the master of the sound bite with no substance behind it. I am not sure who said it but the problem with today's political environmenti s that there are too many politicians and not enough statesmen. I think it is time we get away from the cult of personality and back to civilized discourse. Lets find some statesmen (and women) to solve the serious problems of today. If we keep looked to the extreme right or left we will never find a consensus. Our country was founded on compromise. We seem to have forgotten that and now most think that compromise is a dirty word.

Sarah Palin has shown her true colors

a whiny vacuous windbag publicity whore.

She also resigned as Mayor of Wasilla half way through a term. But she will make a run, her ego won't let her do anything else. Alaskans are a group of no BS people. How she got elected is a mystery to me. Her idea of compromise is getting her way. She hasnt got enough sense to pour piss out of a boot with the directions on the heel. She is however charismatic and knows how to work a crowd, but then so did Hitler.

I was in Florida last for an extended period of time during Charley, Frances, Jean, and Ivan. After watching several of those emergency press conferences, I was convinced that this is a man that can lead - and certainly attract the Hispanic vote for the Republicans (as he seemed effortlessly bilingual in his delivery of said conferences).
