While much of the East Coast digs out from the snow, the Bidens are heading for the Carribean.
The White House announced that the vice president and family will be in the Virgin Islands for a holiday vacation from today until Jan. 3.
The temperature in Christiansted in the U.S. Virgin Islands, as of 12:30 pm ET, was a brisk 83 degrees.
President Obama -- and several members of the press corps -- are in Hawaii.

Now we know why Mr. Murray traded Christmas week for New Years week with Mr. Montanaro.
Ha, I can assure you Mark is not in Hawaii or the U.S. Virgin Islands...
Kind of figured you were to smart to come out on the short end of that particular stick Mr. Montanaro. Hope you had a good Christmas with the family and Mr. Murray is enjoying his time off wherever he may be.
Hey I know...
Let's all play - Where in the World is Mark Murray! lol
If it's good enough for Matt Lauer it's certainly good enough for Mark! ;0)
I did have a good holiday, thank you. I avoided the snow in NY by leaving early yesterday morning. As for the short end of the vacation stick... it was actually quite nice to have the week before Christmas off -- got all my shopping done stress-free.
And, spend it with your little boy. Good for you, Mr. Montenaro.
My kids and princess are still here-trapped by the snow. Husband and I were supposed to leave this afternoon for the Keys- will not go now until Wednesday.
Ah, well, there is a turkey in the fridge, and a princess in the family room. All is well. . .

In 2011, All you need is love, love - love is all you need - such a cool, cool video
The Beatles were (except for Starr) seated on stools, accompanied by a small studio orchestra. They were surrounded by friends and acquaintances seated on the floor, many of whom were among the leading stars of the British pop scene, who sang with the refrain during the fade-out, including Mick Jagger, Marianne Faithfull, Keith Richards, Keith Moon, Eric Clapton, Graham Nash, Pattie Harrison, Jane Asher, Mike McCartney, Gary Leeds and Hunter Davies.

And now back to my regularly scheduled digging out. My cable is out & my electricity keeps blinking on & off.
And speaking of NYC, look at this captivating photograph taken @ Central Park yesterday by one our MSNBC hosts. It's lovely.

the Obama Biden match up was genius - two pretty honest guys - good leaders too. And they both seem to be really care about the middle class and the poor although they don't often talk about the poor. I hope they all get a lot of rest although I don't think it matters because I really don't think much work will be done in the next two years. I think that the Obama and Biden did all of their work in the first two years so that they could use the second two year campaigning.
Huh. I'm kind of surprised we let both the President and the VP vacation off contiguous US soil at the same time.
