Weekend roundup: How do you spell c-o-n-c-e-d-e?

Joe Miller (R-AK) says he won't hold up Lisa Murkowski's (R-ite-in-AK) certification as senator from Alaska. But he's keeping up his legal fight for the people of Alaska, who, he says deserve a better recount system.

- We have a frontrunner: In the RNC Chair race, all signs are pointing to the front runner being Reince Priebus, the Wisconsin GOP chairman/RNC lawyer/former Michael Steele ally. As is par for the RNC Chair race course, most members are undecided, though Priebus leads in the Hotline's latest whip count.

- Et tu, Steel? By the way, a key Steele supporter has defected, California committeeman Shawn Steel (no e). Without Steel's support, RNC members think it would be tough for Steele (with an e) to get the 85 votes of 168 needed to win reelection. Chris Cillizza over the weekend awarded Steele the "Worst Year in Washington" winner.

- Stemming the 'Birther' tide: The new Hawaii governor, Neil Abercrombie -- a former congressman, who was friends with President Obama's parents -- says he's going to push to change state law to release more information on Obama's birth in the state in an effort to stop (or at least reduce) the persistent birthers. “It’s an insult to his mother and to his father, and I knew his mother and father; they were my friends, and I have an emotional interest in that,” he told the New York Times Thursday. “It’s an emotional insult. It is disrespectful to the president; it is disrespectful to the office.”

- The Zombie Phrase: The 2009 Politifact Lie of the Year, "Death Panels," may be making a comeback. The New York Times reported yesterday, "Under the new policy, outlined in a Medicare regulation, the government will pay doctors who advise patients on options for end-of-life care, which may include advance directives to forgo aggressive life-sustaining treatment. ... The new rule says Medicare will cover 'voluntary advance care planning,' to discuss end-of-life treatment, as part of the annual visit." The Obama administration is firing back, saying this is a continuation of Bush policies. The Wall Street Journal: "The White House on Sunday said the new Medicare directive, reported Sunday by the New York Times, doesn't constitute a resurrection of the original health-care-bill language. It said the George W. Bush administration had already put in place guidelines allowing for Medicare to pay for end-of-life consultations."

- 2012 Watch: With lots of candidates waiting to see how the field shakes out, it looks like some potential top-tier candidates are going to feel the scrutiny, even without announcing yet. First, it was Haley Barbour's comments on race from the 1980s. Now Politico writes of his use of private jets, which it frames as a continuation of his days as a lobbyist with this headline: "In tough economic times, Barbour still flies high." And this key line: "The trips, according to a POLITICO review of the Cessna’s flight manifest since 2007, have mixed state business with both pleasure and national politics." Mitt Romney, who has been running for 2012 seemingly since 2008, is already feeling the scrutiny with tough AP and Boston Globe pieces looking at the former Massachusetts governor's positions on health care, START, and the tax cuts deal.

- Let's not debate: Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R) is one who's waiting to announce and he's turning down debates for now.

- All the political world's a stage... Juan Williams said on FOX that Sarah Palin commands the stage like no other 2012 GOPer but added that she's not on the same "intellectual stage" as Obama. Palin has yet to respond on FOX, where she, too, is a paid contributor, on Facebook or Twitter, where she's been "silent" since Christmas Eve.

- Long December: And maybe the threat of another long, cold Winter was just too much for Bristol Palin. She's headed to the mainland, plunking down $172,000 for a 3,900-square foot brown stucco home in Maricopa, AZ. The property in what's described as a modest development, had been foreclosed on. Hollywood gossip site TMZ says she's moving to attend college, possibly at Arizona State University.

As for Say it ain't SO Joe... why can't these tea baggers quit with a little bit of grace & dignity?

Instead they chose to humiliate themselves and in the process turn a legitimate election into a three ring circus... hmmm...

Good after noon Feisty

I trust you enjoyed your time off for the Holidays. Happy New Year

Bristol Palin is BUYING a $172,000 for a 3,900-square foot brown stucco home in Maricopa, AZ.

But Why? Arizona will get a new, 9th Congressional District thanks to the new census. Most observers think Maricopa will end up smack-dab in the middle of this new district.

Bristol for Congress!

==============================================================

LOL!!! what a lucky girl Bristol is to have scraped up $172,000 from under Sarah’s burrito wrappers on the couch.

Also.. Sarah was silent during Christmas and couldn't answer Juan Williams intellectually because she did enough damage with her "Miracle on Ice" sliding down Fox News slippery slope.

Sarah Palin sought to build her foreign policy credentials on Tuesday, with a new op-ed arguing that the Obama administration needs to "toughen up" on Iran based on information from leaked diplomatic cables that she had earlier denounced.

============================

Slapdash and discriminate as it’s written, as I see it, why would Sarah’s ghost writer exaggerate; then pen this ding bat’s name to it? Our allies have stated that they felt any possible nuclear program Iran might pursue would clearly be used only to provide a deterrent against attack. Furthermore, the half wit- half governor doesn’t realize it’s not our job to police the world. Does she not know what self-determination a sovereign country has?

All right,’ said the Cheshire Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly. Go away Sarah. Quit!!!

I just took a few minutes away from relaxing and considering what good things have happened in the last year, as I always do between Christmas and New Years Day, to look in on all the joyous FR lefty liberals. I was not disappointed!! The usual suspects are here, as miserable as they have always been and always will be. Honestly folks, if I was as miserable as you are, I would have ended it all a LONG TIME AGO with a properly permitted handgun to the side of the head.

First up, the Nasty Redhead, with a whine about Joe Miller, whose 15 minutes expired on 11/02/10. Next, it’s John B., with that most trite of lefty liberal laments: “why do Conservatives hate Americans?” Then there’s Paul, a “truther” who believes the 9/11 attacks by 19 nut-job Islamic extremists sponsored by Al Queda was REALLY a Darth Cheney inside job plot, telling us his “death panel” true beliefs. Last, is Jody running the lefty liberal table with “filibustering GOP Senators”, Joe Miller/Norm Coleman comparisons, death panels, John Edwards/Mitt Romney comparisons, and lastly an anti-Palin family rant.

I do enjoy the FR lefty liberal’s sincere misery and I look forward to much more of it in 2011, especially as John Boehner calls the House to order for the first session of the 112th Congress. The first sad, mournful, Ron, Indiana post will tell me that I’m still alive and my future is bright!!!!

BTW, may I suggest you use hollow-points in case your aim is not so good.

Welcome back everyone, I hope your Christmas was Merry and your prospects in the new year sunny.

Once again it's time to ask, why do Conservatives hate Americans? They must, or they wouldn't make a political football out of efforts by patients and families to make responsible decisions about the end of life. What could be more beneficial when you are yours are facing that time than a consultation to ask the hard questions...Is there hope of recovery? Is there a way to be more comfortable waiting for the end? What treatments will provide the best quality of life in difficult times?

Apparently Conservatives don't want those conversations to take place in spite of clear evidence that both the quality of patient care and costs improve when there's an honest and caring discussion between patient, family, and doctor.

Thanks for mentioning that the argument is hypocritical from the beginning, bob. Conservatives are against something now because it's from the Obama Administration. When it was the policy of the Bush Administration it was just fine.

The policy was correct then, it's correct now. The blind hatred that leads Conservatives to criticize ANYTHING regardless of history, workability, or results is pathetic.

Both my parents made end of life decisions while they were healthy. They did not do it by mandate from a "death panel" (which those who intelligent know does not exist) but by sound discussions with their physicians. They made their wished known so we did not have to make difficult decisions for them when their time came. It is the smart thing to do and it enables your relatives to do your wishes and have no regrets. We were blessed that my parents thought ahead and did not make us make the hard choices for them.

Alaska GOP Senate reject Joe Miller has repeatedly claimed that federal health care benefits violate the Constitution. It turns out, however, that he doesn’t actually think that the Constitution applies to him. Miller received the very same kind of federally funded health care benefits and unemployemnt check (his wife did) that he believes to be unconstitutional.

Joe Miller has called for an end to government spending and the “welfare state”. So when accused that he received federal farm subsidies, his campaign called it a “manufactured story from a Democratic blog”. Well, now he acknowledges that he got, um, federal subsidies.

So Joe the Freeloader who disdains the Federal government actually goes to the federal government when he’s in trouble. He filed the suit in Federal Court but he has filed in the wrong court. Oooops! So Joe the Hypocrite (who disdains the Federal government) actually goes to the federal government when he’s in trouble…

Let me guess how many doctors will file claims for these "services" to patients who will not even know that a little talk with the doctor was being claimed at taxpayers expense? There is such an opportunity for massive bureaucratic abuse that it is inconceivable that what has been occurring inherently between elderly patients and their doctors for years is now being mandated by regulation under this Administration. Are you really trying to say that doctors do not tell patients what their options are as they identify serious illnesses.... Come on! This is a political football that is not worth passing around... or funding! Maybe if we are going to regulate this, maybe we should give these same doctors the legal right to execute the desires of the patients, but I remember a famous doctor Kavorkian that was sent to jail for helping his patients die.

Joe Miller, shades of Norm Coleman. Funny how losing makes candidates declare voters deserve a better system but had voters selected them, they would have declared that "system worked". Have these guys not heard of losing graciously.

During the death panel nonsense, including Grassley's killing grandma phase, it was pointed out repeatedly by democrats and some journalists that the Bush/GOP (unfunded) medicare changes contained provisions to pay for end of life counseling. Republicans voted for it back then before making outrageous claims about grandma and death panels.

Mitt Romney is the GOP version of John Edwards who spent nearly 4 years running for president after the 2004 loss.

My wish for the New Year is simply that the media stops reporting on Bristol or any other Palin--there are far more interesting people than they are. I really don't care that Bristol bought a house in AZ, might and I seriously doubt many others care either.

There is a difference between end of life counseling, a consultation between the patient/family with their doctor and a detached federal bureaucracy /panel that determines what end of life measures will be paid for.

I thought liberals were the ones that were so good at nuance, critical thinking, etc.

        About the Palins and media:

Why is it that everytime the word SARAH is mentioned, it's always the libs that start slobbering like a Pavlov pooch and can't resist going on and on about her, not the conservatives?

a federal panel can't determine what end of life measures will be paid for................they could only determine what measures the government or insurance carriers would not be obligated to pay for.

The patient can take "personal responsibility" for their extraordinary care, or their loving progeny can step up and extend their lives. Or the doctors can be good Christians and make a charitable contribution.

          #3.2 - Mon Dec 27, 2010 11:59 AM EST

          So bob, you're willing to admit that Republicans were LYING about death panels? You seem to know the difference. Let's see what the record shows;

Accusations that the health care reform bill now pending in the House of Representatives would use "death panels" to deny care to sick seniors and children with birth defects have taken center stage in the health care debate, giving the Obama administration even more of an uphill climb in getting the measures enacted into law.

But health care experts – even those who do not support the version of the health care reform bill now being discussed – note that these accusations are shocking, inflammatory and incorrect.

          http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Wellness/story?id=8295708

The fact remains that the bill wouldn’t require patients to receive counseling sessions, nor would it require a doctor to offer one. Rather, it modifies Section 1861(s)2 of the Social Security Act, defining what services Medicare will pay for. So if a patient receives a counseling session from a doctor or health care practitioner, he or she doesn’t have to pay for it – Medicare will. As we pointed out in our earlier story, Medicare will also pay for prosthetic limbs, but that doesn’t mean that every recipient gets those, too.

          http://www.factcheck.org/2009/08/palin-vs-obama-death-panels/

We agree with Palin that such a system would be evil. But it's definitely not what President Barack Obama or any other Democrat has proposed.

We have read all 1,000-plus pages of the Democratic bill and examined versions in various committees. There is no panel in any version of the health care bills in Congress that judges a person's "level of productivity in society" to determine whether he or she is "worthy" of health care.

Palin's claim sounds a little like another statement making the rounds, which says that health care reform would mandate counseling for seniors on how to end their lives sooner. We rated this claim Pants on Fire ! The truth is that the health bill allows Medicare, for the first time, to pay for doctor appointments for patients to discuss living wills and other end-of-life issues. These types of appointments are optional, and AARP supports the measure.

          http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2009/aug/10/palin-death-panel-remark-sets-truth-o-meter-fire/

(AP) Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says the health care overhaul bill would set up a "death panel." Federal bureaucrats would play God, ruling on whether ailing seniors are worth enough to society to deserve life-sustaining medical care. Palin and other critics are wrong.

Nothing in the legislation would carry out such a bleak vision. The provision that has caused the uproar would instead authorize Medicare to pay doctors for counseling patients about end-of-life care, if the patient wishes.

          http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/08/11/health/main5233968.shtml

          US Navy,

You are right, there are "no panels voting you live or die." There are no panels that vote to "pull the plug."

Conservatives have concerns and worries about panels, or committees that set end of life guide lines, that in effect will deny the treatment, or "machine" that the plug is attached to.

Of course it would have been nice if conservatives could have expressed these concerns, questioned Dr. Berwick, and had these fears put to rest.

Why would Obama not want a record of testimony to officially put that lie to rest?

But, Obama chose to circumvent all that with the needless recess appointment didn't he? Could have had the hearings, then if Berwick wasn't approved, do the recess appointment.

What other reason was there to do it the way Obama did it other than to avoid those questions?

Anyway, hope you had a Merry Christmas US Navy.

Bob, Obama did not avoid any discussions. Republicans just chose not to have intelligent discussions - screaming about death panels - that don't exist. Berwick was an appointment made because the GOP just says "no" to everything Obama proposes. As we all know, the GOP agenda is to make sure Obama - and therefore - all of us fail.

Obama did not avoid any discussions

Of course he did. He nominated Berwick in April and appointed him in a July recess. Obama still had an August recess to do it in after that. He hid him, no hearings. How is that for transparency? Sheeez.

          Cathy,

Huh.....Jody brought up the death panels.

          BTW - Quotes from Berwick:

"The decision is not whether or not we will ration care - the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open."

“Any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must, must redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer."

Yea, no one needs to ask this guy/socialist dr. any questions.

You guys are not known for being the willfully ignorant for nothing.

No level of information will change the minds of the "birthers"?? I beg to differ. Try a long-form birth certificate. Instead, Obama has chosen to spend over $2 million to continue hiding that & all of his other pertinent records --- Perkins & Coie Lawfirm are happy though.

Any rational minded person would admit that, if indeed there's nothing to hide, just show the damn thing instead of spending $2 million.

I hate to break it you sunshine ... but you don't know WTF you're talking about. Go do some research prior to criticizing others.

And I have had to show my birth certificate ... many times. Foreign travel, replacement social security card, etc. I've had to provide one of my children's birth certificate for Little League. It obviously shouldn't be a big deal for one who wants to be in charge of the fk'ing country. Go educate pathetic self.

I'm not down with the Birth Certificate thing but, I was born in the early 60's and I do not have a "Certificate of Live Birth" whatever that is. I am looking at my certificate and it states my father's name, mother's name, NEGRO because that is what blacks were called then, county, time, state, etc..... I have had to show this thing numerous times in my life and if I didn't have a notorized copy of a "Birth Certificate" it would not be accepted.

BTW: One of my sons were born in Hawaii and he has an actual Birth Certificate. I ws never issued a certificate of live birth. I sent a request to Honolulu 2 yrs back and received a copy of his Birth Certificate not a proof of live birth......

They could come up with a videotape showing live Obama's birth with a distinctive Hawaiian landmark clearly visible through an open window such as Diamond Head and it still would not be enough for the birthers. Obama's biggest offense to these whack jobs is being President while black. They are still crying that Acorn stole the '08 election.

I love it when the ignorant yell the loudest when they're being to most idiotic.

I'd suggest that before someone goes on blathering about someone else educating themselves, they might want to actually do a bit of research. In case that's a bit too daunting for them, they can always read some research done by someone that was NOT wearing a tinfoil hat and chanting incantations. And finally, if trying to find the 'non-tinfoil hat' research proves a bit vexing for them, here's a link.

            http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

Obama HAS produced the short form birth certificate that was most likely produced for your travel documents, social security card, etc. In any event, it's the official documentation of birth from the State of Hawaii. As for the "sunshine" comment, that was uncalled for and definitely was not emanating from someone's advanced life form.

Have a great day hollering obscenities at your kid's Little League game.

First Timer, just to think of all the crap you have to belive in order to be a birther is mind boggling. You would have to beleive that Obama's mother made a trip half way around the world on a college student's budget with no one knowing about it. You would have to believe that this college student and her foreign born boyfriend were able to get 2 different Hawaiian newspapers to publish the birth happen in Hawaii. You would have to beleive that Hawaiian officials fradulently gave the Obamas a Certificate of Live Birth. You would have to believe the current Governor-elect of Hawaii is a liar when he says that he know the Obamas personally back from their college days and all this birther crap is made up crap. You would have to beleive that they went to all this trouble nearly 50 years ago because they knew there half black son would run for President.

            My request to the birthers:

Put down the crack pipe and seek help!

States are passing laws stating one must show proof of eligibility prior to be on the states' ballot. The 2012 election will be very interesting. Perhaps then you'll understand how ignorant you are!!

Starkydoo, its encouraging to see you are continuing your struggle with mental health. Good luck with the effort. How anyone can advance this birth certificate argument is beyond reason. Candidates for president are vetted for eligibility. It is patently ludicrous to think that the full powers of the United States government ~ under the watchful eye of an incumbent Republican president ~ could have overlooked this small detail. It is even less believable that the Clinton's would have failed in pursuit of "the truth" as Obama was kicking Hillary's butt. But there are still Flat Earth proponents and those who think unwanted pregnancies are the fault of dirty toilet seats. Keep it up. Its good for laughs.

              Starky,

Here's the thing...on the one hand, maybe it is a valid argument to say, "He should just show us his birth certificate if he has nothing to hide." However, let's ask this question...how many times has a presidential candidate or a sitting president been asked to show his birth certificate for all the world to see?

Prior to President Obama, I'd venture that the answer is none.

So, yes, it would be very easy to say, "Show us!" However, the point here is that you are now holding President Obama to a different standard than the 43 previous Presidents.

Oh, sure, it says in Ronald Reagan's biography that he was born in Illinois, but have you ever seen his birth certificate? Then, how do you know he was really eligible?

(See, I can do it too!)

Tell me, are you familiar with the principle of "Ockham's Razor"?

"Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem." - Entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity.

Put into simpler terms, "Ockham's Razor" says that when presented with multiple theories to explain a phenomenon, the simpler theory has the greater probability of being correct.

So, which is more like correct...

Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, HI in 1961 and is eligible by birth to be President.

              or

Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya in 1961 and a series of documents were forged on his behalf by the Health Department of the State of Hawaii and a couple of Hawaiian newspapers on the off chance that 47 years later he might try and run for President with the currently outgoing Republican Governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, as an accomplice to the conspiracy as she ordered the Birth Certificate sealed.

              "... replacement social security card ... "

I'm calling BS on this one. I have, in the last 60 days, had to get a replacement SSI Card. And they not only did not require a Birth Cert./ Cert. of Live Birth, they didn't even ask if I had one. All that was required is that I show a State issued picture ID and swear that I was who I said I was. Took all of 3 to 5 minutes, a signature and I walked out with a replacement card in my hand.

So unless you live in a different country then I do. Or that you applied to an agency other then the Social Security Administration, where I got mine from. You are just full of .... !

I'd call you a liar, but that is a personal attack and is not allowed here. So I will refrain from doing that. But you still are full of ..... !

Gee, Da Noid, I never was a birther before but that second argument sure is compelling. Maybe I should rethink my position on this. I mean, seriously, I can see how easy it would be to do that with enough money. I mean, he's spent $800,000 . . . err, $1,000,000 . . . uhh wait a minute, $2,000,000 to keep other records secret, after all. What would another million or so dollars be to this guy who wants to impose socialism on the US and lead us into communism by way of fascism? No amount would be too small to this (gulp!) half black Marxist President who wants to rule the world by redistributing all of the rich people's money to the lazy poor who should just get a job.

                        Let's use a metaphor here, thetotas . . .

A detective comes to the scene of a murder after the murderer has left and the uniformed cops are on the scene. He takes a look around, sees a dead body and suddenly decides to arrest the uniformed cops standing there. Why? Well, by your logic, the murderer has left the scene of the crime and the uniformed cops are now there so he is holding them responsible for the murders.

I am not saying that Dick Cheney or GW are murders (it was a metaphor, after all) but there are plenty of problems, caused by what are defined as illegal actions on their part, that you are now holding President Obama responsible for. This is not good logic on your part.

After all, despite the newspaper birth announcements, personal statements from family and friends, the State of Hawaii confirming it and investigative reporters from both sides confirming it, the birthers still want a 'birth certificate'.

If a 'birth certificate' is required for one, then it is required for both.

Starkydo, once you have either misplaced or lost your original "old" birth certificate, which can happen you know, it might not be a conspiracy, you know.....you will get exactly what the new certification of birth form is. Do you not understand what "Certification of Birth" means? Somewhere, way deep in the bowels of my house I may or may not have my birth certificate. Sometimes you must send your original birth certificate in order to get your SS card, with a promise of return of the original. Accidents happen. What if that does not occur. Guess what? You send your $12 or $15 to the state and they issue you a Certification of Birth. I wonder what kind of mind some of you possess that you believe that some clerk person who is sitting in the vital statistics office of Hawaii or any other state, would not issue a valid certification of birth? Or that the Republican congress would not have set off its own howling and screaming if any of them believed the President was not born a US citizen, but yet, they just allow the whispers to go on. Doesn't that tell you something? If this is the country of your birth what the hell has made you so cynical and hateful that you believe that it is constantly lying to you, trying to kill you, trying to tell you what to do? Why would you want to live here, then? I'm 67 years old. My country is not like your country. Sometimes I don't like how corporations are run, fees that are charged, gambling with resources, etc., but for the life of me, I have yet to figure out how my country is screwing me over. I happen to like having strong bridges and damns and roads. I wish we had a much better public school system and that in order to have one, we must put more into it. I do not hate paying my taxes, my fair share of taxes. I don't mind SS being taken out of my check. I have worked all my life since I was 16. I am still working because I enjoy it. I love my country, and outside of some of the "d__k-heads" who get elected, I pretty much like my government, too.

I would be enormously surprised if you ever had possession of your ORIGINAL birth certificate. It should remain on file, and the property of your birth state. To make a certified copy of a document you need to possess the physical original. Copies of copies shouldn't fit the bill.

They used to have them on a kind of slick wax papery looking stuff. That was before they do it how they do it now. Occasionally I would have to have one replaced and years ago you could get another that looked like the old (like a negative of something with black and white imaging). However, the last several times I have ordered them (from the State of Virginia) I have gotten the Certification of Birth. We have done hundreds of adoptions in the law firms that I have worked in and when we are issued a birth certificate it is a Certification of Birth. I guess I could go to Virginia and demand and stamp my foot and ask for a picture of my old certificate, but why? To satisfy some crazy theorists? Why should anyone, let alone the President have to waste his or anyone else's time for that kind of hogwash. Maybe the birthers could come up with some actual positive ideas to help the country rather than wailing about a Certification of Birth that YOU and YOU AND YOU will receive if you order one. You need to get a life and you have way too much time on your hands if that is all that you have to worry about!

Neil Abercrombie, a Democrat who took office Dec. 6, has known Obama since the president was growing up in Hawaii. Abercrombie knew Obama's father, also named Barack, and mother, Stanley Ann Dunham.

That long-standing relationship is a major reason Abercrombie, 72, takes umbrage at the persistent effort by Obama's most ardent foes to assert he was born in Kenya, which, if true, would constitutionally bar him from holding the office of president.

When you figure the right-wing echo chamber, the Washington Times, the Wall Street Journal editorial page and conservative talk-radio shows like Rush Limbaugh & Glenn Beck's are repeated and amplified that President Obama is goose stepping instead of doing a cake walk for these racist; what else can I say? When Hannity, Glenn beck and the Fox Noise Echo Chamber uses butt lickers, like you, Jesse Lee Peterson and Deneen-Borelli of Project 21 to foment white racism I have a valid point.

                                Hi Bev:

After reading the comments of the whack job birthers here and elsewhere, I have come to the conclusion that the whole birther movement is one big cosmic joke being played on us. The whole premise of birtherism is so whacked out that I am convinced that the only purpose of a birther is to make us laugh by repeating their nonsensical drivel. So birthers, I have had a change of heart. Please keep smoking the birther crack! You clowns provide an endless stream of amusement. Just remember, the louder you rant, the louder I laugh.. at you!

It all boils down to the fact that the "birthers" simply can not accept the fact that someone of African descent can be more successful than they are, let alone be a successful President of the United States. Then they whine that we're playing the "race card" and once they have said that, they assume it gives them allowance to make rascist comments. Interesting little deflection game...and it never works for them.

Since the birthers are so much smarter than the rest of the world, how about if they provide proof, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that President Obama was NOT born in the US??? They should have no problem, given all of their connections....

Good point, Paul! I will add that, even IF he was not born on American soil, the fact that his mother was an American citizen gives him American citizenship.

I guess now they have to prove that his mother was not a citizen...but they can do it! They know everything!! (I'm waiting for one of them to be honest and quote their source as the National Enquirer).

Was Palin actually born? I think she crawlled out from under a rock that a holy roller witch-doctor was jumping around. Snakes were hypnotized, the palin-deamon posessed the body of a young girl destined to be a half-rate beauty queen with a strong dislike for pea soup and an unnaturally limber neck, it growled "death panels and lame-stream media" and everyone went home with a brand new bottle of snake oil.

Really. It's got to be true. I saw it on FOX! ( I think it was a couple of years ago on a show called "When Aryan Chicks Go Bad").

Medicaid will no longer fund organ transplants in AZ becauce Gov Jan Brewer has a death panel which says "go home and die quickly".

The death panel says organ transplants are elective surgery. Elective surgery, Really? This mummified witch has some nerve. She gets elective surgery every time she gets a face lift with her government insurance; I'll bet.

Elective surgery is surgery that is scheduled in advance because it does not involve a medical emergency.

                                    Wal-Mart

When a worker dies, THE EMPLOYER COLLECTS ON THE POLICY WITHOUT PAYING TAXES ON THE GAIN. Family members of deceased Wal-Mart employees are learning that Wal-Mart used a financial practice of taking out life insurance policies on thousands of their rank-and-file workers. According to a lawsuit filed recently in Houston, Wal-Mart took out about 350,000 life insurance policies on the lives of its employees payable to the company.

(Paragraph 15). I needed to point this out because lawsuits are surging due to Wal-Mart's illegal practicing. Believe the page is full.

It's called "Dead Peasants" insurance. I saw this about Wal-mart in Micheal Moore's movie Capitalism. "Dead Peasants" insurance pays your employer a secret, tax-free windfall when you die. Insurers have sold millions of policies to companies.

Whats more, the company might use this policy to pay for retirement benefits and other perks not for you or your fellow workers, but for your companys top executives.

Yup, that's right. Wal-mart treats its lower echelon employees like peasants. But, a tea Baggers delight is to defend companies like Wal-mart; and are happy to be ripped off. That includes minimum wages, fewer hours, no benefits or unions to do collective bargaining.

My original birth certificate was used when my mother applied for a passport for us when I was 12 yrs old.

The only birth certificate I now possess is one issued from the state where I was born and now live which is very similar to Barack Obama's. It is typed and has a raised seal. It never stopped me from using it [the copy] to go to college, land several jobs which required proof of citizenship, driver's license and other occasions and that was soooo many years ago I have to say. Admit it folks, these "birthers" have nothing better on their minds than mischief! They can't and won't accept the fact that a person who was born off the mainland, lived half way around the world as a youngster has been elected President of the United States. Oh yes, and he wasn't the candidate they wanted to be president! They are nothing more than sore losers!

Eileen: As others have stated. Not since the late 1800's has anyone had an original. Those are kept on file by the state, county and city where you were born. Any of the 50 states will issue a certified copy of the original for around $20. I have one of those and assure you it is far more than what Obama offers. I also have a birth registration card I carry in my wallet. It has the volume #, page #, date of issue, date filed and certificate #. Again far, far more than what Obama has offered. The point is that if President Obama wanted to end any speculation he could. He does not so it continues. The bottom line (right or wrong) he will not win re-election in 2012. To many lies, excuses, hidden agendas, subversion of congress and to many more things to debate are all his own fault. I love the excuse it's a matter of principle. So far other than getting his way I have not seen a lot of principle.

Jim: That is what the state of Hawaii issues. Too many lies, hidden agendas, etc. that is not unusual for politicians. Afterall, W. Bush's agenda was to kill Saddam and to invade Iraq, or rather should I say Bush's backers. As I've stated before, I read an article on W.Bush [in 1999] that said if he accepted the presidential nomination, he would be president and they wanted him to invade Iraq [W. wanted to revenge the attempted assassination of his papa so he wanted Saddam killed]. Pappa B's admin had in essence nodded to Saddam when he said he wanted to invade Kuwait and asked if the USA would stop him. So Saddam took it that it would be okay for him to do that. When pappa Bush went back on his word, that is when Saddam tried to kill him. Nine eleven gave him that cover which was needed. Ever wonder why we stopped looking for Osama bin Laden and went after Saddam on bogus information? Now Jim, tell me again about secret agenda's?

Robert: Sorry but most of what I read about this was on the old fashion paper, magazine or books.

You are asking for info that I read 10+ years ago. I guess if you wanted to do research, be my guest but I don't have the time to do it for you.

All I know is what I read or heard before it happened and it came to pass. Most were in some kind of political genre of one kind or another.

If you do, and I do hope you do, take the time to research it then you can post the links yourself or anyone else to see. I know it is true and it is out there somewhere even today.

If you want to really research, look into the 9.11 incident which emails were sent out in April or May[2001] warning about what was going to happen--although not too explicit except it would be in September and in NY [to the best of my knowledge]. When I heard a plane hit the world trade tower, I asked what kind of plan--a small one or large one. When I learned it was a large one, I said that was no accident and we are at war. People looked at me and asked war with whom--I couldn't remember their name at the time. It wasn't until the second plane hit that people really believed me.

By the way doesn't anyone really ever question as to how quickly the name of the terrorist were posted and their pictures? It was that same evening. I thought how did they know so fast unless they were following or knew them to be a threat. So why didn't they stop them????????

It gets worse dear. They weren't following them to catch them. They followed their progress to keep the FBI from stopping them. The CIA ran inteference for the "hijackers".

There is still NO PROOF that MUSLIMS were flying the planes on 9/11.

I know that FACT sounds crazy. But if you stop, and THINK about it, you realize the statement is true.

The simple truth about Obama's birth certificate issue is that the greatest identity fraud in history, perpetrated by two phony fact-checking groups, a Hawaiian bureaucrat, a Hawaiian Governor, and a number of unnamed co-conspirators.

If you think you know all about the "Birthers" and all about the controvery swirling around Obama's birth certificate, then you do not know Jack.

There are a few people on this forum who would like us to suspend our capacity to learn. to think, to know truth from fiction, reason from irrationality, and to learn about new information.

In other words, they want us to listen to their lies and believe them when they say that no one is lyig about the content of Obama's birth certificate, the legitimacy of his birth certificate, the content it contains and who cdertified it was being genuine.

                                        Yet, we all know that:

Government workers have been known to lie!

Agency Bureaucratics have been known to lie!

Newspaper reporters have been known to lie!

Governors have been known to lie!

Health Care officials have been known to lie

So, what happens when you get a lying government worker, a lying Agency Bureaurocrat, a lying Politican, a lying Governor, a lying newspaper, a lying High School Class and a lying reporter all telling the same lies.

                                        For what possible reason?

To hide the truth about the imposter in the White House, to hide the truth that Obama's birth certificate is a forged fake, to hide the truth that Factcheck.org FABRICATED Obama's COLB.

The truth is that Barack Hussein Obama was not born in Hawii, or Kenya.

That Barack Hussein Obama is an alias. That alias Barack Obama was not born to Barack Obama Sr. or Stanley Ann Dunham. That Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham never were in Hawaii at the same time.

That Obama's phony Certification of Live Birth (COLB) is using a stolen birth record number.

That Obama has paid $2 million in legal fees to his peronal attorney Robert Bauer, to squelch the eligibility lawsuits seeking the release of his Certificate of Liver Birth, whose purpose is to keep the public from ever seeing the long-form birth certificate that would confirm the hospital of his birth, who are his real biological parents, and in qhat country he was born.

Factcheck's "Born in the USA" is a total pack of lies that prove, however, Obama's COLB was forged and fabricated.

Watch the video as I destroy the lies of both Factcheck.org and Politifact.com. See exactly how the first set of forged scan images were made, and then those photos taken of a physically fabricated fake COLB.

Then see how the biggest identity fraud in Political and Criminal history was perpetrated and pulled off by Factcheck Politifact, Obama Campaign, and the Hawaii Health Department

YES, all of these people lied through their teeth about Obama - especially by the currently departed Director of Hawaii's Health Department.

                                        Yes, it's the conspiracy, Stupid!

It would be great to see the whole birther thing just dry up and blow away. But for the life of me I don't understand why Obama himself has not put the "controversy" to rest once and for all, by producing a certified copy of his birth certificate instead of the truncated certification of live birth (which are two different things). Then we could all be done with this non- sense and move onto discrediting the "truthers". Members of both groups probably spend a considerable amount of time watching those ghost hunter shows and clinging to the words of con artists like John Edward. As for the main stream media, aren't there enough legitimate and important stories, like happenings in NK, Iran, Pakistan, the content of legislation, backroom political deal making, illegal voting, our border security, Obama's failureto keep his campaign promises and doing just the opposite of what he promised, etc.. to devote more indepth time to rather than wasting it on crap like this?

They have ignored FOIA filings for eight years. The VDOT cameras would have cleared up the controversy on September 12, 2001. The unencrypted flight data recorder information indicates the jet was at 150 feet too high an altitude to have struck the Pentagon. Touch and go at REAGAN National Airport then over to Andrews Airforce Base maybe.

With Jan Brewer doing away with Arizona's Medicaid transplant program, Sarah Palin was right: WE NOW HAVE DEATH PANELS, and people there have no choice but to follow the advice that Rep. Alan Grayson said about the GOTP's Health Care Plan: "HURRY UP AND DIE". Amazing how words have a way of coming to life. And for those that need a life saving transplant, but cannot afford the money to get it done, Governor Brewer suggest that you go out and commit a capital crime and for go the appeals process, because it's MORE CHEAPER to execute them by lethal injection ($86.00 USD) than it is to cure them. Kevin: They have end of life counseling which has been in existence for quite awhile [years]. What is the difference from insurance companies deciding who should get life saving surgery [they take cost into consideration and medical people on the lower rung of the ladder decide that rather then your doctors] --haven't you ever read stories of people dying while waiting for the insurance company to decide or reconsider a denied claim or the government? We already know what the for profit insurance companies priority is and I think we would stand a better chance with the government at this point [since it is pretty much unknown].

My wife was born in Phila. I was born in Hartford. Both our original birth cetificates (hers even had the baby footprints) are entitled "Certificate of Live Birth."

When we had to get official notarized BC's from our respective states recently (the things that are being required since 9-11 to prove we aren't terrorists- original BC's are not accepted because they aren't notarized), guess what? They're also entitled "Certificate of Live Birth."

Maybe Hawaii, Pennsylvania, and Conn. just use a different title than what they give you birthers in Texas or Alabama, or wherever.

How can you and the state both have the "ORIGINALS"? Your non notarized footprinted certificates of live birth were never the originals. Did the state ask for them back from you so they could make notarized copies of your documents? No.

I got a Question for you Conservative Blogger on here: Why didn't you make a stink of where he was born when Obama ran for the U.S Senate back in 2004?

Article 1, Section 3 of the U.S Constitution, Qualifications to be a U.S Senator:1) each senator must be at least 30 years old, 2) must have been a citizen of the United States for at least the past nine years, and 3) must be (at the time of the election) an inhabitant of the state he or she seeks to represent.

Age and Citizenship requirements - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

You have a LEGITIMATE BIRTH CERTIFICATE from the State of Hawai'i. Let me back track a second: Hawai'i became a state on August 21, 1959, and even if it wasn't a state before that date, HE'S STILL THE PRESIDENT DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS A U.S TERRITORY!!!! Now, given the fact that if a medical person WILLFULLY falsifies a document stating that they witnessed a LIVE BIRTH of a child risk losing their license AND HAVING a lengthy prison sentence, AS WELL AS the parents, especially parent who give birth to a child of mixed heritage, which, by the way, was illegal in most states, do you actually think that someone would be so stupid as to EVEN attempt it? Hell, John McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone, which by the way, WAS a U.S Territory, so by your assertions, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE EVEN RAN EITHER!!!!!

The President can take a cocaine drug test, past it, and you birthers still wouldn't believe it.

Do you believe George W. Bush actually drank non-alcoholic beer?

Sad to see that Joe Miller is still "stuck on stupid"... as are the "birthers". Y'all need to get over yourselves already.

Thank goodness for the mid-term election results.

Now those so called intellectuals in the administration (who are actually Harvard degreed children) can't avoid dealing with the other party.

And those silly useless programs such as Dream Act are just that........................a dream.

The message was loud and clear. Obama policies - Reid policies - Pelosi policies are not what Americans desire.
