So much for that inaugural dinner that then-President-Elect Obama threw in John McCain's honor in Jan. 2009.
McCain today voted against ratification of the New START treaty, which means that -- outside of the war in Afghanistan and the tax-cut deal -- the Arizona senator didn't support a single major Obama White House policy in 2009 to 2010.
It's in contrast to Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe, who voted for the stimulus.
It's in contrast to Lindsey Graham, who voted to confirm both of Obama's Supreme Court nominees.
It's in contrast to Scott Brown, George Voinovich, Mark Kirk, Lisa Murkowski, and John Ensign, who voted to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
And it's in contrast to Lamar Alexander, Bob Corker, Judd Gregg, Thad Cochran, Mike Johanns, Johnny Isakson, Dick Lugar, and Bob Bennett, who voted for START's ratification.

Old man McCain's out yelling at clouds again.
Or pidgeons on the park bench!
It's hard to imagine McGeezer is able to put on 2 of the same color socks in the morning...
AZ should have sent this old coat to one of his 13 homes for a PERMANENT retirement!
I tried but alas the base that supports him are much the same!
Feisty
why talk about grumpy John McCain like that.....be careful, Sarah Palin is watching you.
Try as he may, McCain is likely to go the way of Arlen Specter in the future. The Tea Party wolf is at your door senator.
To think this bitter old b@stard ran around the country 2 years ago with his 2nd place beauty pageant winner hollering about: Country First!
Who's he kidding?
This is another example of a man that exemplifies the phrase that Republicans have championed, a flip flopper. He was a man that even if you did not agree with him you could still acknowledge that he was a man of principle. Now he is simply someone that is so interested in maintaining his political position that he has no principles.
It's time for McCain to go to one of his many homes and increase his dosage of Aricept. The dementia is clearly getting worse. Oh, and BTW, did you notice that Canada was recognized as being the leading nation in the fight against cancer. I guess our "socialist" medicare system isn't so bad after all, and nobody has to go bankrupt to receive treatment.
John McCain has turned into a bitter, unrational man. His votes have been consistantly against what the majority of Americans want, from the Start treaty, to health care reform, to DADT. He is out of touch with reality. If he wasn't a US Senator who still has tremendous power, I could feel sorry for him. Unfortunately for the US, he is a Senator and he does and can votes w/o any concern for the citizens of the US.
WHO even really cares what John McCain thinks. Just look at his conduct since he was beaten in his FAILED 2008 POTUS bid by "that one." He has been NOTHING but "unhinged and unbalanced" since he received and ass whipping from "that one" - Pres. Obama.
I just cannot bear to think where this country would be now had he and Sarah secured their POTUS/VPOTUS run in 2008.
Mc Cain is STILL in denial that by picking the PROUDLY IGNORANT and EMBARRASSING Sarah Palin as his running mate, it caused his epic loss of his 2008 POTUS bid - BIG TIME.
John McCain WILL NEVER be forgiven for unleashing the hateful and divisive Sarah upon this country, in his miscalculated effort to simply win an election. Mc Cain DID NOT and NEVER HAD THE BEST INTEREST OF THIS COUNTRY AT HEART. McCain WAS NOT and NEVER HAS BEEN A "MAVERICK."
Lindsey Graham has best watch his "association" with "that one" - John McCain, lest he be branded a permanent loser as well.
he most likely is upset he didnt get nekkids from palin for picking her like she was qualified or something other than nekkids.
Every time I see Sarah Palin, hear her voice, or read something about her or her embarrassing family, the words "Damn you, John McCain" pop into my head!
The former (and former is the operative term) "Maverick" of the Senate is no more. He has become a bitter, cranky, sore looser of a man! Remember the neighbor who was always yelling at kids when their baseball or football landing in his front yard. And as to being a POW we owe him the gratitude as fellow countrymen - but please at this rate he will rapidly morph into just the guy who got caught!
Flip-floppin RINO, so true. First he likes being a Maverick, then he decides he doesn't. Votes with the majority but can cast a minority vote. Nothing is for sure with his decisions except that he'll surprise me while representing me here in AZ. Yes, he should have been out the Senate door last election, but his opponent, J.D. Hayworth, was lukewarm and gun shy. And McCain won the day with his flipped "hardened border" stance. Got alot of mileage out of that one issue!
And you bought that he really cared about the border issue? I am going to assume that the border has been there all the years he was in congress, if my assumption is right, what has he done over the years to protect the border? He was one of the senators who did NOT want the "dang fence" until his year when he suddenly decided that the "dang fence" was just what was missing all these years. What a poor excuse of a person he is. I can't imagine where we would have been had this loser won.
McCain is the biggest hypocrite in the senate & thats saying something. You lost the election. You will be most remembered for putting Sara Palin on the map. Maybe that's why your so pissed. You dummy.
Long ago in another time McCain was a hero, he also used to actually contribute to the national dialogue and had more than just a couple of good ideas.
Then someone asked him how many homes he owned and that seemed to have put him in a bit of a tizzy, he ran out of gas for his bus during his campaign, then hooded up with a hot Half-Baked Alaskan who put a bit more gas in his tank but he has just never seemed quite right in his head ever since the '08 campaign. I wonder what Sarah did to him???
Oh Renita, you feel that too? So do I. ANYTIME that IGNORANT and EMBARRASSING Sarah speaks, even if she just says "boo", it makes me want to seal McCain's arms to his sides, and seal his mouth with crazy glue.
We learned early in his FAILED POTUS campaign why John McCain tried to shield silly Sarah from the media - because even he (as unhinged and unbalanced as he is) knew the jig would be up, once they asked her any of those "gotcha" questions:
Sarah's WRONG Understanding of the $700 Billion Dollar Bailout (help us Jesus, this woman could have been POTUS had John McCain has been elected POTUS and then "gave up the ghost)." Mc Cain proved that his judgement is "unhinged and unbalanced."
And who could forget John McCain's "unhinged and unbalanced" knowledge about the economy:
John McCain Says "The Fundamentals Of Our Economy Are Strong" - on Black Monday, 8/15/2008 after the stock markets crashed over the weekend.
The bitter and senile old John McCain now and has never had been concerned for anything other than himself. What about his slogan "Country First". He has only been "bi-partisan" when it has benefited his personal agenda. He is still pouting from the November 2008 "shellacking". At least the POTUS had the courage to not go into a perpetual pout after his "shellacking". Unlike the dishonorable John McCain, he swallowed his pride and reached out his hand once again to the republicans for the sake of "Country First". Furthermore, if John McCain had ever once thought about this country first he wouldn't have released the ignorant and demonic Sarah Palin upon us.
For a man that gave Arizona with it's own stimulus program during 2010, he is still trying to get over his embarasing defeat by Obama, and will do anything to try and embarass Obama.
I don't like McCain (politically) but he's not senile and selfish and all this other stuff. He's a guy remember that spent years in a cage like an animal. Now..I think that has damaged him emotionally and mentally to the point that he probably shouldn't be president or vice president, but that's the nature of ptsd.
age has nothing to do with it. Palin's at least as out of touch with reality as McCain, and 30 years younger.
Hey Vinecitizens -
I'm off-topic. Can anyone give me a link as to what Palin has to say about the DADT repeal? She's been strangely silent these last few days. I can't seem to find anything on the Internet.
Happy Holidays, Kwanzaa, Solstice, Christmas, Ramadan, Hanukkah, New Years to all!
mcCain is getting more and more incapable by the day. he shows time and again that he's incapable of rational thinking. it's plain obvious that he's nothing more than a bitter old man for losing two presidential elections. he had been a heroic icon for his bravery in the vietnam war. he doesn't need to be a U.S. president or anything else to gain more respect from his countrymen. he should be happy for the bravery he displayed during the war and the amount of respect he's been getting. it's just extremely selfish of him to stay in office in his current state of mind and get in the way of anything constructive because of his bloated ego. even his own family openly disagrees with his political ideas. all he's doing now is hurting this country. he should either gracefully retire or be forced out of the office for the sake of this country.
Get off his lawn too.... Smile :-)
mccain would of had a lot better chance of winning the election if obuma had not lies about everything he was going to do, john fought for his country obama stole and smoked crack and if not for mccain Reid would have just spent another trillion dollars.if obama were not black he would have been checked out a lot more before many americans voted for him but the libs would have screamed raceist, obama spent more in two wyears than the every president put together since washington and we are worse off now than befor he took office, mccain has searved his country 100 times more over than obama ever will the lieing sob I hope he goes so far to the middle it makes the libs shi7 thier pants
McCain spent "the war" in the Hanoi Hilton. He was broken in short order and confessed to taking part in war crimes. His "confession" was played over their P.A.System daily.
Obama did not spend more in his first two years in office than all the other Presidents combined. His first year in office was under Bush's last budget, the fiscal year starts in October 2008. The national debt stands at roughly 14 Trillion. If you're a complete ignorant you could try to make the argument that Obama is responsible for 3 Trillion of that debt. Like he had much of a choice.
carlyss man
Those old arguments about black and white and so on need to be packed away. John McCain has been a lot OFF for a long time. You seem to show your colors and I tend to think you are a racist. Lies??? Check out John's history. You obviously need to vent for some reason and you should be allowed to, and you are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. (quote) I wish John well in retirement as my mother just died of Alzheimer's and it was an awful time. I truly hope he is just dumber than a box of rocks and does not have dementia.
I suspect that the voters of AZ had to chose the lesser of two evils and John is it
Can you imagian the dumb ass that ran against him in the senate , at least with John we have the advantage of him being very old
Teacher Trish
Do you actually seek out Sarah Palin? Her opinion on what matters means nothing to me. She said she was against START and that is the last I know. She was headed to Haiti to up he foreign policy experience. Maybe she stayed there. I saw this information on these posts. If I see her elsewhere, I don't read, or I turn the channel. She is terribly obnoxious. Robin Williams from GMA trucked around with her for GMA and I did not watch any of the post media on it at all. She is making millions like Glenn Beck by entertaining ( if that is entertainment). Well I have things to accomplish for the Holiday. Have a great New Year all.
127 promises kept, 28 broken so far, carlyssman. The broken promises all consist of things he tried to do but wwas stopped by the Conservative obstructionists. Read 'em and weep. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/
then wht did obama turn coat and run to the middle he dont have the balls to stay to his convictions and mccain had a chance to leave hanoi early but he did not want to leave his men I would like to know what you would have done in simular circumstances, with broke bones wet yourself I would amagine so you follow this anti american wanabe we all know he is a wuss and is wife wears the pants ,why would you put a crack head man with no experience except how to tell lies and get people like you to believe them, and who was saying fu77 to him ,his party when he kept the tax deal and how come the media did not spread it all over the network like the little word you lie was blasted by the biast media. did you know it took this radical liar three times to pass the bar exam,he has to be ignorant to spend 20 years in an america hateing church and not hear nothing or is that another lie, he has radical ties it has been proven you just dont want to believe the truth so I guess your just as ignorant.and as har as arizona they must know he the man for the job unlike the idiots that kept Reid and pisolotsi
Christmas is clearly wasted on you.
our future is wasted for the next two years on your boy and no telling how much of our childrens years are going to be harder on them because of his wasteful spending, but thats all you libs can do is cry about what other people have ,you act like mccain is the only one in congress to dissagree with your ideals,I know the truth hurts so dont cry for to long we will just have to start over in a couple of years just like nov. america let you know what we need but you still didnt get it but you will.
Carlyss man,
You are suffering from Fox News Syndrome. I suggest you call a friend who can help you remove them from your cable service. Intervention is the key. 2012 will bring Democrats back in charge and do away with Republicans until they come to their senses and stop leaning far right as they have been recently. Most people realize this. They don't even have it together with who their presidential nominee will be yet. They have abandoned all minorities and most women. They are in a state of dispair knowing that until they have a center right candidate, they have no chance of ever winning the presidency again.
McCaine was one of the few smart ones on this treaty. No one in their right mind would agree to giving the Russians the huge tactical advantage this treaty gave them. It seems that the sheeple are looking forward to being red.
anabanahead..................... fox news is the highest rated cable news , the reason being they tell both sides something your liberal biast stations dont and everybody knows it even you have watched it or you would not be able to talk about them, they were the only station that was not in the tank for obama nbc ,msnbc are going broke and they are looseing people and where do those employees end up.Foxhow do you precieve that the dems are comeing back didnt nov show you anything,I think you are just to stupid or stubburn to acknoledge the facts, how many seats did you in nov.
How many times must this be explained to you? FAUX News has great ratings because there are numerically more stupid people than there are intelligent people. FOX is fun to watch PROPAGANDA, masquerading as journalism. They report a portion of their "news" even-handedly so that they can retain enough "CREDIBILITY" with their audience-of-ignorants to then mislead them on domestic political issues.
OK, more people are watching Fox News than any other single news channel. Are more people getting their news from Fox than ALL OTHER news sources together? Not even close.
now thats stupid
The display on your computer has a mirror function. Cool. Good for you, carlyss man.
that's......not "thats"
Carlyss man, you are badly in need of an education. Your post is evidence of that. Rambling statements with talking points gleaned from Fox News are not true facts.
That's what happens when jealousy overcomes rational thought.
Old McCain's still angry and he'll always be angry until the day he dies because he lost to Obama.
Thank goodness!
McCain has been bitter ever since he was defeated by W in the 2000 Republican Primaries. Whenever I see him on TV I can't help but remember the SNL skit where Darrell Hammond, playing McCain, kept wandering around the stage and walking in front of the camera obviously lost and clueless.
You are right...McCain has been bitter since he lost to GWB. In fact...the only reason that he got that whole "Maverick" monicker is because he was pissed at GWB and voted with the Dems several times after he lost that election. He wasn't "bucking his party" based on his independent principles, he was shoving it to Shrub.
Carianne you are so right. His being a "maverick" had less to do with him having any real convictions and more about "sticking it" to GWB.
What a patriot, it is obvious that he is all about country first, I just wonder which country.
Truer words have never been spoken. McCain is a fool. An old cranky man.
His anger has made him incompetent and unable to view anything in a reasonable manner.
He and cry baby Boehner should get canned and sent home. Impeach the losers
Let's hope that day is sooner rather than later!
Those who lost to Obama are those who were dumb enough to vote for him.
Wait...Bob...McCain and Palin lost to Obama. Are you saying they voted for him? Wow...that IS news! Although, with Caribou Barbie, I could see where she might not have been able to read the names on the ballot, so it's not quite as surprising.
And with that, McCain has cemented his legacy as a flip-flopping, war-mongering homophobe.
History will remember McCain, but it will not remember him kindly.
Amen to that!
It's a shame...but so true. It really is a sad thing to a person who really admired the man he once was. Or maybe is was just the man he presented to the public at large and now he is done pretending. Whatever the case, it's not pretty to watch.
John McCain has not been an angry vindictive man just since the 08 Election. He has long been bitter, you can just see it clearer now. The reason he had credentials as a Maveric is his standing against the policies and positions of George Bush. Well he felt slighted by George Bush and Karl Rove, and set himself to opposing them. We called that being independant and a Meveric. But now we can see that he has all ways just be out to settle scores, no interest in what was good policy for our nation.
He is the true definition of a grumpy old man – nothing like Jack Lemmon.
I hear you Dennis. I really do feel bad about this, because I liked the John McCain that ran against GW Bush. He would have been one of the few Republican that would have swayed my vote. Too bad he fell victim to the TPers. Talk about self inflected wound.
I used to truly admire John also. I don't know what has happened to him but he seems to be becoming completely unhinged. It's all very sad to see.
I hope his wife is watching closely in case there is something seriously wrong with him.
I'll always thank and admire him for his service to this country. I think it's time for John to go home, sadly enough.
This is news?
Are you serious?
How about a story on Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and his deer in the headlights response to a question about the foiled U.K. Terror plot?
The plot that has been in the news for a week, that he had not heard about. The one he blames his staff for not briefing him on. Does the man not read a newspaper? Listen to the radio in his car?
How about a story on how you WOULD have covered it if this had been a republican administration?
No joe - still jealous,huh?
3 days out from Christmas and the Grinch is still screeching!
The sky is falling... the sky is falling...
you must not read much news then.
They did a story on Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and his deer in the headlights response to a question about the foiled U.K. Terror plot. Guess what? It was the British that didn't tell him sh*t, not Obama. Facts are scary, aren't they?
No Jo, No Bo, No Brains.....
No Jo,
Come on girl, the grid lock in congress has eased right before Christmas. Don't know if you saw the story about the 2 brave firemen killed in Chicago this morning as well as 17 injured, 3 are still critical, on the anniversry of the stock yard fire 100 years ago killing 21 firemen, also this day the deal for funds for the 911 responders. this is a sad but good day.
Merry Christmas, flying home today.
also was looking for a post from you reguarding barbour comments.
Jeff - it is a sad day for Chicago firefighters. My heart goes out to their families and friends.
Maybe because it was a non-story to begin with. You are probably one of those people who buy into this ridiculous nonsense about the big "terrorist threat". This is something your government tells you to keep you
scared. Time to grow a pair dude.
Not a day goes by that I don't thank God that McCain and Palin lost the election. I think America dodged a very big bullet on election day...
If you want to see a real intelligence disaster, Google "Curveball" and see how the Bush administration was snookered by a tratorious Iraqi into going to war.
NJ--This is about McCain, stay on subject if you can. But on the other hand do you remember that G.W. Bush from January 20, 2001 until September 11, 2001 spent 41% of his time on vacation? How's that for changing the subject?
McCain won the election battle for his new term in office but has lost the war to remain relevant.
Sad to see a once respected voice of reason marginalize himself and his legacy by pandering to remain in office.
The toughest part of professional Sports and Politics is knowing when to get out while still on top.
Unfortunate!
McCain has two options now, get out, or swing even more right and claim to be a tea party member. Turning tea party is the only thing that will keep him in office now. He won't appeal to the centrists in AZ because of his consistant no's on sound legislation. His only chance now is to embrace the tea party in AZ, and hopefully run unoppossed in the Republican primaries.
Thank God he did not become President. Seems he has lost his mind a bit. He was much better when he was younger.
If he's angry at anyone it should be himself. He picked Palin, which instantly doomed his run for President. I would have voted for McCain in 2000. In 2008, I was thinking about it right up until he picked that Luddite to be his VP. The thought of a vindictive, stupid, lazy person like Palin becoming President if McCain died forced me to vote for Obama.
That's why I voted for President Obama too!! I was going to vote for McCain, but he foolishly picked a running mate that I wouldn't trust to run a kool-aid stand.
how does not voting for something mean someone has lost their minds? is it really true that people believe everyone was for everything obama has done? I think the people losing their minds are commenting here. Not for nothing, but a guy can and will vote how he wants and if John McCain was party lining or not comfortable with the legislation, i hardly believe not voting with obama on all but 2 things makes him a crazy coot.
What makes him crazy is that he claims to be a Maverick. Claiming to be something you're not is crazy. McCain is as much of a maverick as I am Santa Claus.
frstrm33 - he voted AGAINST the President on all but two things! Those "no" votes included legislation he had formerly championed! That's what the comments are about.
He is old man he can't remember he is coming or going! Poor McCain's he don it again.
Great man that served his country well above and beyond! Now it is pitiful to see him turn into a bitter old man trying to do everything he can to destroy or impede the man who beat him in the election for President. He needs to retire and just go home to Arizona before he makes himself look worse than what he is doing nowadays. Thank You for your service John--Just ride off into the sunset and enjoy retirement!!
Aren't we stuck with this old "broken" coot for six more years in the Senate?
Yep - sad isn't it??? Doesn't Arizona have anyone better???
Maybe we should send McCain a Happy Retirement card. Maybe he'll catch on and just go home.
Go home to Arizona? We don't want him! He should retire and move back to Panama (where he was born) or Virginia (where he grew up). He's an embarrassment to our state and the whole country.
W. Goin, post 10.2
There's Sharron Angle!
Ya don't say...
I live in Arizona and have been consistently embarressed by McCain and Kyl. They have both now been discredited as 'losers' without any influence or commonsense. Sad, sad political dinosaurs.........
When John Kerry lost his bid for the presidency, the media immediately deemed him irrelevant and basically stopped covering him. I wish they would do the same to John McCain and Sarah Palin. The amount of press these losers get is staggering.
You said it.
Quick, name one other vice presidental candidate who lost the election! Seriously, at this moment I can't remember who Kerry's running mate was, and I'm a Democrat. How does this woman merit any attention?
Yeah, but no one is spending huge sums of money to keep John Edwards relevant in the political world as they are with Sarah Palin.
My guess is those folks are expecting some sort of payoff. I wonder what they're trying to buy?
Amy
I was just signing off and saw your comment. You are so right. The Media and whoever feeds them is keeping John and Sarah relevant. What a shame. Shouldn't they still be covering the fact that the government's bodies allowed New Orleans to be devastated and then walked away? That we don't belong in Afghanistan and that we need to stop backing Israel the way we do? No, they take the safe routes and follow would be's around. Our Media whether MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX all keep these people in our faces.
It is all very sad. Not only does the U S Senate need term limits, it needs age limits at the top end, too. Those familiar with Part III of "Gulliver's Travels" will remember why the king of the Luggnuggians refused to have a single Struldbrugg at court. McCain is too old, too bitter, not up to speed, and in danger of being remembered not fondly, but as an old ass**le. And he will have done THAT all by himself.
ORB - actually, a lot of older people still keep up on things and continue to grow with the times. So, as much as your post DOES reflect precisely who McCain has become it's not true for everyone.
To be in the senate you should have to take a an age test. This will include knowing how to use the internet and email, passing a driver license test, and eating a solid meal without spilling on yourself. McCain would probably fail all three.
W. Goin,
I wholeheartedly agree, maybe I am biased. Because of my age I like to believe this is true.
It won't be long now and McAge will be strapped into his wheelchair sitting on the porch of one of Cindy's
homes, angrily waving his cane at the neighborhood children...the nurse will come out, give him his prune
juice and pills and the senile old coot will fall into a stooper, slowly slobbering on himself. What a pathetic,
sore-loser and a crusty old "FART." "YOU LOST MCAGE...GET OVER IT!"
Sarah Palin doomed any chance John McCain had to win the Presidency. I hope she is the Republican Candidate in 2012.
Seems that you DEMOCRAPS still don't get it. You got a wupping last month and you're still angry and refuse to see that what's being done in Congress now is against the peoples wishes.
I don't recall the START treaty as a campaign issue, skippy. Further, "the people" are strongly in favor of DADT repeal. So what exactly is your point?
I am so tired of Republicans telling the rest of us what "the American people want". They know only what their Corporate sponsors want. Same goes for many Democrats albeit it seems to a lesser degree. One would think that someone like McCain who supposedly has seen the the horrors of war up close would be a leading voice AGAINST war and would be out front in an effort to rid the world of nuclear weapons.
Also, why is it that when Obama envisions a world without nuclear weapons he's deemed weak but when Ronald Reagan (the Republican GOD) envisioned a world without nuclear weapons, he was deemed a great statesman?
So far I am kind enjoying the "whuppin" Democrats got,,,,,,,,,,,It seems now Republicans are a lot more willing to compromise and do whats right since now they have a slight bit of responsibility in one house and cannot just hide behind being the minority saying NO
Not to mention as far as whuppin's go, This was the smallest party change during mid-term in how long, LOL If history runs true Obama will win big in 2012 and Democrats will regain a huge majority considering how little they need to actually gain to get there.
to answer your question lois, because its naive to believe that a nuclear free world will happen. The lid is off the pot on it and countries that dont mind killing a few million people over religion can get access. Nukes are a deterent and one that should be taken seriously, even when enemy countries posture as though they can obtain them.
If we could all go back to a cable free world, would you feel the same way?
but it's not a deterrent if everybody has 'em....we all just play the game and lose, even the countries that don't have or WANT them lose if a nuke is dropped, so again is it that wins???
earth to skipperjohn
repubs like skipperjon is what fails this country. all they care about is their own ego and what makes them happy - the illusion of power, especially the power of the republican party. they don't care about the country at all. furthermore, they believe that when they're quilty of something, the best thing to do is to accuse another, in particular, their opponents, of the crimes that they've committed. they hope that this will fool people into believing they're not the one who have committed the crime. and if they keep repeating that like a child holding his breath and say it loudly, it will become true. they're simply devils living in a fairyland.
what is being done now is agreed by the elected repubs in office. democrats are weak and they couldn't have been able to do anything without the repubs agreeing. thus the COMPROMISE. what's been done this month in the congress and senate is more of the repubs doing - allowing the dems to do things that the far rights are against! if it's against the "people's" wishes, it's the repubs who are against the people's wishes. heck, they got the one most important thing they want - tax cut for the very rich! screw everything else as long as they're in power. so skipperjon, what the heck are you whining about?
McCain and his No-sayers friends should deal with this:
http://littleadvisor.com/blog/archives/459
Stop stalling, republicans!
Totally agree with McCain comments. He was much better in his younger days.
So what, he's supposed to vote yes because it's Obama's will? If he or his constituents are opposed to the legislation being voted on, why would he vote yes? I'm no McCain fan by any means but who the hell cares how he voted? His wasn't the decider on any issue mentioned.
Yes, Suzy. According to First Read, because Obama threw him a dinner, McCain was supposed to vote for every one of Obama's legislative priorities.
Captain Mo To,
I sort of thought he would, at least, have voted for the ones he was for before he was against them after they became the "POTUS" legislative priorities. I guess that was wishful thinking.
Suzy
You should care how he voted. This is a long standing treaty, just revised, that may have saved your rear and many others because it was in place. Please go do some research.
Mr. McCain - I can no longer call you Senator McCain. Many years ago you were a hero in our household. I have written your name down many times for President when I could not support the one running.
This is truly sad and this is what most people are going to remember about him but I have to tell you from 2008 and on you have completely reversed almost everything that you believed in the past. Like Brett Favre it is time for you to retire. Your time is done and thank you for your service.
John McCain needs to get a grip and quit being a sore loser. Shame on him and his followers!
McCain is a pathetic angry old white man.
This old koot is a disgrace to the senate ...And hinders the freedom of Americans ...He once was a great statesmen ... admired and thought well of ... in his current mental status now America sees him as a bitter old relic a has been .. a once was ! A huge disappointment to the people of AZ... He and Leslie Graham are the reason we need to have term limits 2 in a lifetime .. with no health benefits and not allow these cult members to hold the American people hostage with their 1958 thinking patterns !
