Inside the Boiler Room: Got Questions?

We're gearing up to shoot the "holiday edition" of Inside the Boiler Room. Mark and Domenico will be talking about their predictions for next year, so please send any questions you have about what's to come in the year ahead!

You can also tweet us, @NBCFirstRead, @mmurraypolitics or @DomenicoNBC, or post on our Facebook page.

Mark and Domenico: The only correct questions for this version of "Boiler Room" are these: Does he see you when you're sleeping, does he know when you're awake? Does he know when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake: Now, since we all know that Santa is watching us, what would be the best thing he could bring to President Obama for Christmas to really shake up his Presidency? And will the Republican leadership find coal in its sock?

I like those questions, newdayDawning.

Will Santa give President Obama a bit of the Christmas magic to propel Senate democrats to change the Senate filibuster rule Jan 5 so that we again have majority rule as written in the Constitution?

Hey Mark and Domenico -

What happened to the New York mosque controversy? Were the Islamist run out of town? Are the plans going ahead?

Is the entire New York mosque controversy an indication of the "flavor-of-the-month" style of reporting that the media now does?

Does anyone even care anymore what goes into that building?

You have to admit that this is a good "Where are they now?" topic...

Good question.

One of the things they failed to report is that the mosque will NOT be built with private funds. The group has applied for a federal grant in order to build it.

I am pretty sure it showed up onPolitico. It was in the New York Times and the Daily News, as well as my own state's newspaper, the Star Ledger.

Hard to believe that no one on this site, whether host or poster, saw anything about it.

Curiouser and curiouser. . .

With so much resentment of our 2-party system, do you see an increased possibilty of a stronger 3rd party emerging to challenge the status quo?

Good afternoon guys.

Which politician (outside of President Obama) will be the most influential in 2011?

Which GOP dark horse will step to the forefront of the 2012 Primary season?

Do any of the new GOPers elected in 2010 have what it takes to make the 2012 GOP Presidential ticket as a VP candidate?

What is the best way to ignore that crazy uncle that every family has that doesn't stop telling personal stories at the Christmas get-together?

Who is the one most likely to spike the punch at the First Read holiday party?

Have a great day guys!

Yeh I got one Mr Murray and Mr Montanaro. When are you'll and Newsvine going to do something to Keep the Yahoo's that want to come here and trash the place from using that little trick they've got for Deleting Posts. If you don't know what's going on with that why don't you ask the question in the circles that's doing it and I'm sure they would be more than happy to explain it to you.

Another excellent question, IR. The only posts that should be deleted are those containing vulgarity, threats and the like. These yahoos delete anything that gets in the way of their Fox "News" blindness. They can't believe that there are those of us out here who will not be indoctrinated by the Fox propagandists.

First Read could commission the animators to graphincally depict teabagging. Maybe certain folks would stop using the term so much if say the animation depicted Christie teabagging reid or Pelosi.

It does beg the question as to whether Pelosi could be properly teabagged, given the botox and all.

Why would we quit using a name the "teabaggers" picked for themselves? I find it illustrative, they pick a name that is a double entendre, which just shows how much they really know about the world. The same with what they claim they want to do to the country. Works for me.

Darn it IR - YOU beat me to it! lol

If you ask me they should lose the flag feature all together OR have Tyler do his J O B! Tyler has the ability to track those who abusethe privilege and can discipline them accordingly.

This is a political blog and if the plastic Jesus crowd can't take the heat then they should find some other place that's more suitable to their virgin ears!

BTW: I saved a copy of your post that was deleted if you want it... I saw the writing on the wall and knew it was only a matter of time before it went down!

Nice job from these right wing nit wits in silencing everyone else who commented!

Nothing but a bunch of cowardly phony Constitutional waving hypocrites!!

Oh well what can I expect.... if they can't win on merits they'll use every dirty TRICK available!

Thanks Red you know your my ace. I've got a copy of it and You'll can look for it to go back up first thing in the morning. I just don't have a copy of all the excellent thoughts that went with it and I hate that for my fellow posters both the ones that agree and disagree. Either way I appreciate folks taking the time to set down and either expand it or refute it in their own way. Some small group of Yahoo's are spoiling things for all those folks too and I feel bad for them.

I could be wrong about this, but I thought that the community could collapse a post, but only the moderators could delete a post.

That said, I was surprised to come home and find IR's post deleted. . .

Howdy FR gang - Hey Mark and Domenico - Looking back at the last two years, is it too soon to use words like "epic" regarding the sheer volume of major legislation? How does it compare historically? Thanks! - Jonbo

I don't understand fox news the claim that the end of the world is going to happen because the house has some procedural rules your are saying no such thing about the tax bull

      Mark and Domenico,

Although I am not really interested or a great proponent of polls, what do you think Obama's poll numbers will be like by summer 2011 - the 2012 election cycle will be in overdrive by then. I'm also interested in this period because the summer of 2011 is when he promised to begin drawing down from Afganistan.

Also where do you see Obama's support will come from as more and more progressives slip away from him as he continues to veer to the center right? It could be argued he has lost the majority of the independent vote, he never had or will ever have conservatives. Where does he get his support if the economy continues to slowly heal?

Slowly heal, oh sorry, I forgot that this vaunted Tax extension deal is going to miraculously shave unemployment down to 5%.
