Obama does not represent America. Nor does he represent anything what our forefathers stood for. This country is basically built on an attitude. It's a way of life. It's not because you're born here. It's not that you're supposed to take from those who have and give to those who haven't. That kills a country. It killed Russia.

You know what? People who have bad intentions, people that are deceivers or are not of honor and integrity — that's how they act. I've seen it in every — it doesn't matter what level. It can be in politics, it can be in business, it can be in sports, it can be in the construction field. Doesn't matter. It's all the same attitude. It's the same thing.
People who tell the truth, they're very easy to ... their actions prove it. Something as simple providing a birth certificate. Come on. If you're born here, there's plenty of documents. But you know what? There's no documentation of him. No legal documentation of him. There's been lie after lie after lie exposed, but people put it under the carpet. Hence, the problem we have in this country.

There really is a fool born every minute. Guess he's making big money playing baseball, why share any of it with those who have little or none. Both selfish and a fool--great for the game of baseball.
Why don't those who have little or none get out there and make something of themselves like Luke did? So you think he should work hard, make something of himself and then hand it over to someone who didn't? It is exactly this kind of mentality that Luke is talking about! Read the story of the Ant and the Grasshopper - all you liberals would probably take the grasshopper's side!

Wrong Paul, he uses his skill as a baseball player which contributes to millions of people paying to attend the games, and to millions of dollars in advertisements for televised games, and for concessions, and for some - endorsements. A whore lets someone pay him/her to have sex (which requires no skill), has no one paying to attend, has no advertisements (because it isn't televised), has no concessions, and no endorsements.

Although Paul's comment is harsh, your response actually supports his augment. The only contrasting point that is correct is that a whore has no concessions. One quick visit to an x-rated website will prove that a successful whore does have skill, paying attendees, advertisements and sometimes even endorsements.
I think you can probably win this argument but so far you've failed.
There is no winning and losing. First of all, read below for some more of Paul's comments and you will see why it is pointless to argue with him. Secondly, there is a huge difference between a baseball player and whore, and anyone who thinks they are even remotely the same, is not dealing with any level of measurable intelligence. Furthermore, a whore and an x-rated website are not the same thing. You can not have sexual intercourse with a website.

I'm just having some fun with the argument. I do think there are some interesting similarities. For starters I wouldn't want either to be a roll model for my children.
But you are right about the pointlessness of arguing with Paul. I think Paul and Luke Scott both have fantasy prone personalities, they just tilt their tinfoil hats to different sides of their heads.

As for Luke Scott, good for him, he is a baseball player who worked hard to get there but to degrade the have nots as being not worth the effort or worthy of a hand up makes him sound selfish and ungrateful. Not everyone has the intellectual ability, the opportunity or, for that matter, the God-given talent to become a baseball player for the leg up, they just do the best they can. I declare him a fool because the President's birth certificate has been posted on line, even during the campaign, and verified as legitimate by the republican Governor of the State of Hawaii. I could question the legitimacy of the one Scott says is in his file cabinet but that would make me sound like him--there really is a fool born every minute and I stand by my comment.
I have seen too many people literally drag themselves up from the gutter and make something of themselves to ever believe that some do not have the ability. ALL have the ability. I will never give up on my fellow human being.
The birth certificate DOES look suspect, and I don't necessarily buy that it is the real thing. We all know there are people who are more than willing to falsify things for money or even merely loyalty. However the birth announcement does confirm to me that he was born in the U.S. I would never be so self-important as to tell anyone else what they should or should not believe, and I really would never be so self important to call anyone a fool for having their own beliefs. And see, one of the many admirable things about Luke is that he never ever said what anyone else should believe (unlike the majority of the posters in this thread - and even Newsvine), he simply stated what HE believes.
Is/are your soul , your spirit, and your intelect, a part of your body? Luke Scott has no intellectual property to sell. He is a CLOWN in the CIRCUS of DISTRACTION. He is the equivalent of a peep show whore. A website chat girl. He should stick to what he knows, which isn't much. As to the precise definition of the word fool, I think that is splitting hairs. The difference between lacking intelligence or lacking judgement does not appear to change the point of your statement about calling someone a fool.

But, Obama's birth certificate is on line, the man has a passport that you need a birth certificate for, and his birth announcement was in the local paper when he was born. A U.S. passport allows you to travel outside the country and return home, and you have to meet strict requirements to get one. It is important to realize that a certificate of live birth is not the same as a birth certificate.
Birth Certificate
1. You can only get a certified birth certificate from your state's Department of Human Services. It is often watermarked to prove its legitimacy.
Certificate of Live Birth
2. A certificate of live birth may have been given to your parents before leaving the hospital after you were born. However, this has not been certified by your state's Department of Human Services.
Evidence of Citizenship
To get a U.S. passport, you must have primary evidence of U.S. citizenship. A certified birth certificate should satisfy this requirement, but a certificate of live birth will not.
Obama has to this day, not provided a true certified birth certificate. He has provided a certificate of live birth that any individual can get coming from another country and in the short form at that. He has not provided a true copy (long form) of the original Birth Certificate that has been certified by the state's Department of Human Services.
Simple, factual and accurate. Obama has still not provided the requested documentation every American born here can provide or obtain.
But he has a passport.
Does he? If so, from what country. Nobody has seen his passport either.

Mine and my 2 brothers and 3 sisters was lost when our basement flooded 30 years ago. so your telling me that i can't prove i was born here in chicago, even though the city clerks office has a copy in their data base and certifies its non fragulant, the same data base as Hawaii does for the president.

what has been provided and reacting to the comments based on the interview. If the administration was forthcoming and not blocking information, this discussion would be ongoing. John McCain was asked by Obama to show his birth certificate which he provided. Obama never returned the same.
For the record....To become a senator you have to be a U.S. citizen for at least nine years at the time of election to the Senate. What does that prove?
My point is there is a reason for the "Birthers" to question this. Notice the labels on anyone that questions authority or policy. The reason this even came up today was because of the interview, it wasn't a spontaneous rehash.
If you want to discuss new things we can spend all day doing that. Pick a direction. Economy, foreign policy, health care, social security, taxes, spending, entitlements anything.... I'll educate you with the accountable facts, no bull crap, propaganda or name calling. How much of the agenda or progressive policies do you agree or disagree with? We are certainly not more united as a nation and race relations have taken two steps backwards. So this passport in the scheme of things is a drop in the bucket.
