As was reported earlier this week by First Read, money was a key focus at the RNC chair candidate forum sponsored by Freedom Works and the Republican National Conservative Caucus. Here is a short recap of what was said by the forum's participants: former Missouri GOP chairwoman Ann Wagner; former RNC political director Gentry Collins; former RNC chairman Mike Duncan; and former Michigan GOP chair Saul Anuzis.

These two Educated Idiots are not smart enough to actually use the Education they got to do any good. So they want the Govt to do it for them
But not the unions. They do not "love drinking from the teat" right Red?
Wait wasn't it the Unions that gave the most money last election? American Federation of some union or other was number one, correct. Or is that fact lost on you?
Good thing Obama, Reid and Pelosi's world is totally divorced from money.
Feisty
What continually amazes me Bev... is how BLATANT & BRAZEN they've become...
That's because the milk is toxic. They hire unrepentant bigots and fools like Glenn Beck and slant head Sean Hannity to breast fed the stupid .
Thanks and you have a nice weekend too. Also, I can't until Cheney is picked up by Interpol. I'd love to see him boiling in hot oil.
Tomorrow is my day to volunteer at the food basket.

Always got to wonder why Feisty and Bev always are complaining about Other peoples Money. They want the govt to take it away from those that work hard and many Extra hours for. They are jealous and Expect the Govt to provide for them..
Steve that was a moronic statement. Those dollars in the USA Treasury belong to US since we all pay taxes in one way or another.
So stick it; baby. If you can find the right part of your anatomy to put in. I hope you stick that information in your brain.

More Acronyms! I feel so left out.
Stupid Is As Stupid Does: SIASD
Thanks, I feel better now.
WTF Paul are you a code breaker? lol
BTW: Indy - you should know by now.. we're VERY inclusive! ;0)
feisty and the gang, If you take a map of the USA and color those states that are majority democratic voters blue and the others red there is not much information to be gleaned from that. However, if you do the same thing county by county within the states a very telling pattern emerges. The blue counties have very low income per capita when compared to the red counties. Especially within the blue states. Statistically speaking, that would indicate that the majority of democratic voters are low income earners and pay no income tax at all. Yet, 7 of the top 10 wealthiest sitting congressmen are democrats. The demographics and resulting statistical conclusions would indicate that you have been hoodwinked but good. Have a wonderful and more enlightened evening.
All right Paul, how on earth do you do that? You mean we are not the clever, quick thinking people that we think we are?
IndyLib would have figured it out sooner than later. He seems like a good egg.
Yes, he really does. And we are not such an enigma. Have a good weekend!
Steve,
Maybe they haven't reached the 99 week limit yet.
DADT / WikiLeaks?
What if the guy that released the greatest amount of State Department secrets in history - was gay?
What if he was teased as a kid for being a geek, then by those suspecting he was gay. Later joined the military - didn't fit in. What if out of desperation for acceptance- or delusions of grandeur - he did the Wiki Leaks?
Change anything?
The thing is Bob, if we had any sort of decent news media in this country, entities like WikiLeaks would fade away.
EXACTLY. It is the absence of any real journalism being allowed to take place by the corporate executives at NEWS outlets which creates the whistleblower niche for WikiLeaks.
You think a "real" journalist would idiscriminately release state secrets?
Clark, c'mon man, ease up. Those secrets were not secrets. Just known facts that were not admitted to, that's all.
If the information has already been distributed to our enemies, even if it were a state secret, is there any reason why we the electorate of a free society should then be the last to know?
When I posted the above, I was expecting ..........
Well you never know. Anyway:
Ahh.. your just fun'n me, ain't ya Indy. I hear this type of stupid crap from the libbies here all the time, but I've kinda had the feeling your smart enough to prefer playing pull my finger than make a stand on something like the above.
Then we get....
(Well, all righty then.)
Hi Paul,
Help me out here bud. Are you saying real journalism is publishing national security secrets, compromising the war on terrorism and undermining our trust/diplomatic efforts in protecting the American people? Everything should be out there? Everyone in the world needs to know everything?
Maybe it's just me, but that sounds pretty stupid. We are trying to kill al Quaeda guys (the guys that killed almost 3,000 on 9/11) in Yemen, the hotest hot spot, so we just out their President and Deputy Prime Minister for working with our CIA and that's cool? We just punked the Royal King Dudes in Saudia Arabia over Iran and their bomb and that's
uh-oh.
I just said 9/11. And this is Paul. Paul-977599. Paul Reynolds Wrap Hat-977599.
oh bouy.
Sorry Paul. You're right.
Cheney did 9/11 and Obama needs to make Julian Assange Secretary of State.
But wait a minute. This would free up Hillary and she could marry Prince Andrew because, face it, after the way barry has wacked the dems chances - she can sooner be the Queen of England than POTUS and then heart broken Kate leaves the country to kill some birds, meets Cheney and he replaces Kellog with Kate to make it Kate Brown & Root, she falls for Dick, they get married move to Nigeria where Cheney knows the Nigerians would do anything to have Kate as their Queen and sure enough they do become King and Queen and then Kate and Dick swap Nigeria's mineral rights to China for their US IOUs and Dick calls the debt, and owns the USA.
That evil dastardly genius.
I don't what anyone can do to stop Cheney, but have a good weekend Paul.
Bob, you are talking to Paul? Really?
I admit I had a laugh over your post, but, seriously, bob, if you spend too much time talking to crazy people, you put yourself in danger.
You do go on....................
If you want to reduce the argument to absurdity, that is your option. But it only highlights the weakness of you position.
The motivation for the "crime" of leaking "state secrets" is hardly the point. The motivation for the murders at FT. HOOD were well known to the military before it ever took place. It wasn't political correctness which caused the failure to avert the crime, it was simple dereliction of duty.
If this "fag" had worked at the State department instead of the Army, it appears he could have just as easily leaked this information to the entire world, not just to WikiLeaks. Who could have come up with a system of information sharing which could so easily be abused? Find those people. They are supposed to assume that there will be "turncoats" with access to the system. The 'system' is supposed to be on the lookout for people engaging in activities with it which flag them as suspicious.
no joe,
When I was 5, the big kids on the block gave me the real poop on Santa. Made sense, but I had to find out for myself. And sense I had noticed every Christmas morning my bedroom door had been closed after I fell asleep, I taped a straight pin to the top corner of the door and taped a ballon just below the opening. Dad said Mom never was the same after that Christmas Eve.
Thanks for your advice, but I probably pushed through that safety threshold a long, long time ago.
And in all candor, I actually appreciate Paul,. Maybe it goes back to high school when I had my Austin Healey 3000. It had the wind shield wipers reservoir in the trunk. I had relocatedthe tubing to come out under the dashboard and filled the reservoir with Wild Turkey. We would go to the 7-11, hit the windshield fluid button, make Bourbon/Coke Slurpees and argue about the JFK conspiracy.
Well I'm probably starting to scare people....
Anyway, enjoyed your comments this past week, as always.
Have a good weekend, no joe.
Paul,
Thanks for your comments.
Short on time, but will get back to you later.
no jo: Have you ever noticed that people project upon others what they fear about themselves?
Paul,
Sorry I didn't get back sooner.
Wow, did I. And what was that to no joe? Whew....
Anyway, I'm OK now...
Defending WikiLeaks is absurd. It did enormous damage. It has no socially redeeming value. It has compromised the Obama administration and America's national security interest. No one is defending it seriously except nuts. Hopefully you are not serious.
Dereliction of duty? Maybe that could be argued, but everything I read and heard tends to suggest political correctness had more to do with it. If a soldier was to single out a Muslim and not have proof positive of his assertions - his career (advancement) was over. Bottom line, some soldiers deferred to political correctness and other soldiers died. Most of the time when soldiers defer to political correctness, it cost them their own lives. Happens more than anyone understands.
Bradley Manning was an emotionally troubled, gay computer hacker with a high school education who had difficulty holding a job. I'm thinking his getting in the Army was easier and more probable than his getting a job in the State Department.
WikiLeaks IS how he leaked it to the world!
They had a system in place. Wasn't very good. Manning beat it by bring in a disc recorder that looked like a disc player. He acted like he was singing along with Lady Gaga when in fact the device was not playing Lady Gaga - it was down loading national secrets.
The point of my comments. In such a politically correct environment, you can't "flag" Muslims/Gays - by definition - it is politically incorrect.
Thanks for your comments Paul.
deferring to political correctnes to protect your career opportunities is dereliction of duty and when it results in deaths, your career should be over, and anyone who fails to investigate and prosecute that dereliction is an accessory after the fact. Their careers should be over too.
The opposite should also be true. If I "flag" a suspect, and am told by my superior to let it go, and this "suspect" goes rogue, my superior should lose his position for not following up on the heads-up.
no joe,
Ever notice how newday projects such smug sanctimony, almost in a laughable "narcissistic" way?
BTW- I never saw the DSM-IV post on Obama's Narcissistic Personality Disorder, did you?
Ah, yes more projecting, I would worry about that bobby!
Your career is over when it is your death. As I said earlier, most of the politically correct deaths are those that made the politically correct decision. You never know in advance, if it doesn't work out - you lose your career. If you are on the battle field - you lose your life and/or the lives of your buddies.
In June, 2005, 4 Navy SEALS in the desolate Hindu Kush, were faced with having to make either a politically correct ROE decision, or a rational military/tactical decision. Were they to risk their careers, liberal activism and possible court martial, or were they to risk their lives and almost certainly have to face 150-200 Taliban (25-1 odds).
They voted and made the politically correct decision.
They were found by the Taliban.
Danny Dietz fought after his thumb was blown off. He was shot in the lower back with it blowing his stomach out, he kept firing. He slumped to the ground when he was shot for the fourth time, this time in the neck, but picked up his rifle and kept firing. He couldn't speak, but would signal for ammunition. The team fought plummeting a thousand feet down a rocky shale cliff. Danny was shot again, this time just below the neck. He couldn't walk now, but as a Marcus Luttrell dragged him to safety, Danny lifted his rifle and fired to help his team mates again. A round hit him in the face and Danny's suffering was finally over.
Michael Murphy was shot in the back and stomach (they were continually flanked and almost surrounded). He walked out into an open area (trying to get a signal for the sat phone) stood exposed trying to get help for his buddies. He was shot through the chest, dropped to his knees - reached for the phone, stood up and thanked the person on the phone. He became separated was surrounded and died in a monstrous fusillade of Taliban fire.
Matthew Axelson had fought after being shot in the chest and now had part of his head blown away. Out of ammunition except for his pistol he labored to tell Luttrell to make it back and tell his wife Patty how much he had loved her. As they waited to die behind a log on the side of that cliff, an RPG round hit and blew Luttrell of the cliff. Axe was later found, his pistol empty and like the others - his face shot off.
Murphy's call for help had gone through. Sixteen of their friends, buddies and fellow service members died when a RPG round came through the open ramp as they were inserting.
Blown up and shot, Marcus Luttrell crawled 7 miles and was eventually rescued.
Michael Murphy was awarded our nations highest honor - the Medal of Honor. Danny Dietz and Matthew Axelson were awarded the second highest (Navy's highest) the Silver Star. Marcus Luttrell was awarded the Bronze Star and later wrote "Lone Survivor" in tribute to his buddies.
Sorry I went on and on, but people just don't understand.
The Hindu Kush is not Scranton, Pennsylvania. The Army is not Dunder Mifflin.
Everything has a cost. People need to realize the cost of political correctness for the military is not the same cost as for some paper company, insurance office, car dealership......
Man I've wasted a lot of time this weekend.
Anyway, if somebody reads "Lone Survivior" and gains a greater appreciation for our military, maybe it wouldn't be such a waste.
"Lone Survivor" is a riveting read. I spent an entire weekend reading straight, I just couldn't put it down. There is no way you can read this book and not have a greater appreciation for our military, I don't care what your politics are.
What astounds me is your willingness to sacrifice these true patriots, bitching about the ROE, and think that it is not important to investigate why they are there, dying, and killing, for us. You do them the greatest disservice and dishonor their deaths by refusing to look at 9/11 as the false-flag criminal conspiracy that it clearly was, and still is, to anyone who has objective eyes to see.
The saddest thing is, if we were allowed to prove it beyond any reasonable doubt, to the world, you would, then, say it was justifiable.
Until then, happens, you will call it an "absurd insinuation".
"Lone Survivor" is an appeal to the emotional, not the rational. It serves its purpose well.
True Paul, it is a very emotional read, but it gives credit to the brave sacrifice of our guys over there. They are where they should not be, fighting for a cause that is not ours, purely for political reasons; first under Bush, now under Obama. This takes nothing away from our soldiers, but the reasons for the war directly reflect upon our leadership of the past 10 years, and it isn't flattering.
Tell you what Paul-
Let me find an old Austin Healey 3000, build a flux capacitor for it and I'll go back in time to when I was in high school - grab a Bourbon and Coke Slurpee, drive by / pick you up and we'll talk about 9/11 all you want.
I don't want it to be a conversation between just you and me. Why would you? What did your highschool discussions accomplish? I saw no protests, demanding a re-investigation of JFK's murder by Dulles and the CIA and then the Whitewash by Dulles and FORD, that was the Warren Commission. They've already fooled you twice, at least. "Shame on you", as the saying goes, unless Bush is mangling it..
TRANSPARENCY would begin with JFK, RFK, MLK, USS LIBERTY, the MURRAH building BOMBS, and the first attack on WTC '93, and the JFKjr assassination. By the time the public was up to speed on those self inflicted wounds by America on Americans, they would look at WTC1,2&7 very differently.
Good point, the Healey is too small. Besides, I was just shopping for a Healey and the ones like I sold for $800.00 are going for $40,000. Sh!t. Remind me to leave a note for myself to not sell it in college to buy the ... Oh yea, remind me to leave a note to not stop at the RR crossing where it got totaled by a carload of drunk Pi Phi s and almost smushed by Mr. Burlington Northern.
Now that I think about it, I better bring a notebook.
Let me get back to you.
BTW - They got John John too? Why did they do that? You sure he wasn't just a marginal pilot.
The body of the flight instructor and the seat he was strapped into were removed from the "crash" site.
Why would they do that? Obama/Kennedy 2012. They weren't going to let another Kennedy have that high a security clearance ever again. "Fool me once,............"
I can't help but notice that you read the USS LIBERTY reference and ignored it. As clear a false flag operation as you are ever going to find.
Bob, I woke up this morning to the news that narcissistic personality disorder was being removed as a treatable condition- I immediately thought of your comments. Seems it is too obvious to the general public.
Paul is a certifiable nut- I wonder if truthers are covered as a treatable mental disease; they certainly should be- so I am not surprised that he has a Kennedy conspiracy theory, as well as a "John John" conspiracy theory. He has probably been abducted and probed, as well. . .
I enjoy your comments- keep on keeping on. There are too few of us-rational thinkers, that is- on this board!
Is that the best you got? Name calling?
If you don't understand that the National Security Act of 1947 was essentially a license to engage in murderous conspiracies then you are beyond help.
Do us a favor and tell the board how L.B. Johnson and MacNamara shut up the survivors of the ISRAELI attack on the USS LIBERTY. A clear false-flag attack to justify a "retaliatory" attack on Egypt by us, should it have been necessary.
Spare us the lame psychoanalysis. Yellowcake from NIGER, please!
BTW - For what it is worth, he is.
And no one who set up the "system" which would allow him to do what he did, has been charged with negligence or dereliction of duty. That's the bigger picture. But in bob's mind they might be gay too, as if that is the issue.
Good point Paul. I don't know if anyone can be charged, but I would hope somebody lost their job. And let me preface the next remark by saying, yes this could have happened under Bush, but it bothers me that the original leaks were 4 months ago. Nothing was really said. No changes noted. No assurances that things had been corrected. After the last batch, the administration seems a little more perturbed. Hillary had to sit on a sword, but hey she's tuff and as Barack would say about their nomination contest - Nominations have consequences and I won.
But the post was in the context of DADT.
What about political correctness in the military "system".
Consider the Ft. Hood murders by a radical muslim. How many questions were not asked in the name of politically correct "diversity"? All of those deaths and woundings and no one questioned him because he was Muslim? Is/was it worth it?
Now you have WikiLeaks. You have a guy that was harassed through out his life. A guy whose father was in the military, who kicked him out when the father found he was gay. An angry guy, emotionally isolated his whole life, struggling, living in his car and deciding to join the military. Didn't fit in there either. He wore custom dog tags that said "Humanist" and kept a toy fairey wand on his desk in Irag. Takes a leave, falls in love with a self described drag queen whose gay, politically motivated circle he wanted to fit in with.
So he lip-synched to Lady Gaga and down loaded hundreds of thousands of documents to later give to WikiLeaks.
And now friends wonder if this was a desperate attempt for acceptance, or delusions of grandeur.
Would DADT repeal have prevented this? I doubt it. Feel free to counter if you want.
Should the military have spotted something wrong with this guy. Yep. Did no one question it because they knew he was gay with his toy fairey wand on his desk and probably hundreds of other clues. That would be my guess. What's yours?
About the media. We talk about DADT every day. We talk about the WikiLeaks. Why does no one know this story, this connection? Can't mention it because of political correctness?
What other things are not mentioned by the media about DADT repeal? They will be open right? Does that mean they can cross dress in the PX, or wear dresses or pants. What about two guys in the same squad falling in love. Can they hold hands, etc openly. What if a hetro says something - is that to be considered hate speech? What about affirmative action for being done wrong all these years? Gays get promoted ahead of straights just for being gay? What about being stationed in countries where homosexuality is a crime? On and On.
The media talks about the majority of the military being OK with it. They gloss over the 67% Marines in combat arms, the 50% Soldiers in combat arms who are against it. Funny thing is - these are the guys that matter the most, the ones that do what the military function is - fight and win the nation's wars. They are the ones that carry weapons, patrol the mountains, go into the villages to remove the bad guys, etc. and step into the ambushes. For the others, whether they are on an aircraft carrier making meat loaf for the crew, are behind a desk checking the 5.56 and 7.62 supply, in a hangar servicing an A-10 are important, DADT repeal is not the same for them. No one in the media seems to get it. It's just politics for them.
The other thing the media doesn't talk about, what is not in the report, is recruitment, Retention. Readiness of force. How will repeal of DADT effect these?
Care to discuss any of the above, the important reality, instead of the liberal feel good social agenda crap?
My cry and regrets!! How foolish and stupid was I to think that by voting Republicans, the job situation would improve overnight!!!----And to Republicans; Republicans won the midterm elections; Republicans are in control of everything now; where are the jobs?????
We Americans replaced some of the best representatives with Republicans who in the first place created the mess that this country is experiencing now. Where was our wisdom in doing that??? Where are the jobs???
What really offends me with the current Republican Party is the gross arrogance and total cockiness they demonstrate as they simply take the public for granted. With the overt and covert support of the influential, powerful and extremely wealthy few who strongly back them and who ‘pull their strings’ they simply count on conning and manipulating public opinion. Their bold confidence is actually understandable with the success they experienced in the selling of GWBush, in deceptively using the Christian block, in twisting public opinion with the Swiftboat propaganda, in exciting and persuading people to identify with the Tea Party movement and in aggressively faulting Obama and the Democrats as they criticize, block and obstruct every effort and offer nothing constructive. Their scare tactics, subterfuge and creative appeals to biases, prejudices, emotions and self-interests have worked with many people becoming excited, neglecting to be rational and then just blaming the Democrats without objectively recognizing the real value of the efforts made or even to remember what caused the problems. The Democrats really do leave ample room for improvement but in contrast they also offer a conscience and a focus on the problems and on the people. In the mean time, the Republicans gave us eight years with Bush-Cheney being totally focused on benefit for only the few and on giving the majority only apathy, the costs and an abundance of subterfuge. They then continually offered nothing and just tried to manipulate public opinion against the Democrats. It should all be completely obvious in their focus on their political ambitions at any cost, in their never addressing the problems, in everything they support always benefiting the few, in the bold subterfuge constantly being offered to control public opinion and in the candidates they present who often lack qualifications but always are demonstrative, attracting attention, exciting emotions and are literally ‘puppets’ willing to perform.
Just looking at the likes of George W Bush, Sarah Palin, Christine O’Donnell and so many others with their consistency that tells the story with their questionable value and negligible qualifications for the country and in their value as ‘puppets’ for those who cultivate and support them. Those aggressively pushing for their acceptance hide behind the camouflage of being ‘ultra conservative’ but their real interests can be seen in the significant financial gain they seek. Even at this moment they stubbornly and arrogantly strive to protect all advantages for the very few and to cut back the benefits for the many with the total middle-class targeted to loose the most. It really isn’t about ‘conservative’ v ‘liberal’ but rather it is all about money and those with the greed picking individuals who once having their drive for personal financial gain and attention satisfied, they will willingly perform as directed without any conscience. With some of them, as was vividly seen with Bush and is now clear with Palin, they demonstrate a self-indulgent, arrogant, aggressive, cocky and irresponsible sociopathic personality that is totally self-focused without any conscience and that allows them to do/say anything without guilt or hesitation to achieve what they want. That really should be totally offensive and scary but when not recognized, if instead people are taken in, conned by the abundant subterfuge, the people then become victims/‘pawns’ to be used and abused and to be returned to more of the same that has already greatly cost and victimized this country. To fail to see all of this is to literally condemn ourselves to more of the same.
Stockholm Syndrome. Classic case.
You can take the White, Southern, privileged, boy out of the Plantation, but you can't take the plantation out of the boy. Mitch McConnell: I guess he's not happy with the "help"...
@RGiles - I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, the folks not seeing the trees from the forest will awaken to find themselves in the same soup - the Have Nots! They will also find themselves in an America devoid of democracy and democratic values because they will have given control to these "Elmer Gantry" characters. If they think that they will be a part of the "Haves," they are in for a rude awakening. Once used up, they will be thrown away just like a used up tea bag.
Why do I see the same people always the first to comment on any new article??? Do they hover over their computer day and night so they can be first??? Is this their entire life??
Thanks for proving there is absolutely NOTHING tea baggers won't b!tch about... lol
Heh heh heh!
LOL! Yeah... like it's some how MY fault they're slow... ;0)
How about da BEARS!
The Bears are gettin' it done. But you gotta feel for the Lions. I know it's small comfort for them, but has there ever been a better 2-10 team? They've played some great teams tough this year.
Indy, You will get no argument out of me... Detroit's 3rd string quarterback gave us a run for our $$$!
I think da Bears should sign him as a back up... ;0)
YEEEEEHAAAAA!
Go Chiefs! Whoduthunkit?
Feisty and Beverly, Stop drinking coffee poison , it blocks up your lungs and kidneys. Start drinking tea its
good for your system and besides its qualities fight cancer. If you smoke , worst yet. Why do we Americans
kill ourselves slowly. Take my advice and you'll live to see another Repub victory in 2012.
Money, money , money, Who doesn't like money more than the Dems? Chinese money under Gore and Clinton,
Arab money under Oblaba. Money from secretive sources, undisclosed so far.
Yeah, we want more tea. That Bush tea was so good for the country don't you think? Go tea,go tea, go tea, yeah!
