Dems get first flip of the night; GOP magic number moves up to 40

We've been saying that Republicans need a net gain of 39 seats in the House. That's moved up now to 40.

NBC News calls John Carney (D) has won in Delaware. It's the first flip of the night.

Imagine if Mike Castle ran for re-election — it would likely be add another to the GOP total.
